DAVE STRIDER

it really depends on the day which spoon he is. If he had a hard or rough day, you should count on him just... laying on you, clinging to you like a koala on a tree. But if he had a good or overall a day without you, rough or not he'll have you just lay on top of him.

He like to feel the pressure on your body resting on his. the weight gives him comfort, and the fact he knows its YOU? god just slap the title of happiest man on earth on his ass.

He never tells you when he had a rough day, you are able to simply just assume. He doesn't lay fully on you, but an arm and occasionally a leg will be on you. but if you reciprocate with playing with his hair???? oh boy, all of his body weight is going on you (he's laying on you... in a non-sexual manner)

DIRK STRIDER

He's a little more solid than his brother, being primarily a big spoon.

He feels much more comfortable holding you, because then he can just look down and see he's not physically alone anymore. He finally has someone.

Similar to his bro, he feels comfort from your weight on top of him. it reminds him you exist and you just simply existing in his life makes him feel about.. 89% more safe.

Like, he'd SO be into doing crazy shit with your time powers.

Together, of course.

Like, I think that Dave would like to go around time with you just to prank your friends.

OR, perhaps, Dave and you would start a time prank war with each other.

Going back in time to fuck with a past Dave.

On the other hand, Dave going into the future to play a prank on the older you. (It'd dawn on future you immediately that you, in fact, got got.)

You two probably create a time paradox or two, but it's probably fine.

ARADIA

Oh, if you think Dave would have a blast, Aradia has that x10.

But she isn't going to be one to play around with your time players like Dave might.

No, Aradia prefers to remain on the safer side of the time adventures you two have.

I think that she would enjoy to go time sight seeing with you, however.

All of your dates with her end up being in a different time period.

Just to take in the view together.

She wouldn't want to mess anything up, though.

But the time-dates with her are quite romantic.

dave doesn't like acknowledging things. if you acknowledge something that makes it true, so if he never acknowledges it its not true. simple, really.

if he never acknowledges bro's abuse as abuse, it's not abuse. It's just ironic play and cool hobbies and totally normal older brother stuff.

and he never acknowledged that little crush on john, and then it went away, so obviously that only cements his previous hypothesis that if he ignores things, they go away, and they aren't real.

then, he comes face to face with karkat and dirk.

dirk, who has the face of the man who exists solely in his nightmares. whose voice sends slight shivers down his spine. he half expects to see his face with a blade against his throat in the reflection of the boys sharp glasses.

karkat, who yells and is loud and is brash and somehow sets his heart on fire with every screech and pointed glare. who genuinely listens to his rambles, even if he calls him a "blundering moron" after. he listens.

and suddenly, dave cant go about life not acknowledging things. he sees the brotherly relationship he couldve had in dirk, and he knows he wants it.

suddenly, he cant ignore the feelings of romance that he'd convinced himself were wrong. john was an idea, karkat is real and in front of him, and he knows he wants it.

he knows he wants it. he's acknowledged he wants it, and now it's real. it's real and true and. and it's the truth. and that's the worst part.

He calls you pookalicious, his little sweetpea ironically. but he can be normal when it comes to nicknames when he's actually being affectionate

He's a little scared of being cringe so he says a lot of things he means, but brushes it off as being irony because it sounded cringe.

If you can sing or play an instrument he would love to collab, or hell, even start a whole band with you if you were comfortable.

He may eat your snacks, if you have a good taste in snacks. but if he does this accidentally he'll make it up to you by buying you more and sharing his precious closet apple juice with you, no matter what John says

my headcanons for the humans!

in order of height they are jade, jake, roxy, john-jane, dave-rose, dirk

a few notable features-

-dave has a swirl like roxy

-dirk burns easily but has tans on his shoulders from the burns that are mostly permanent,

-janes hair mimics her symbol

-jade has white hair streaks from her dogtier

-the beta kids wear bracelets for the others in their group (daves are under his sleeve)

-dirk doesnt bind

-jade has colourful socks!
