Our little game
~Part 2~ ~Part 3~ ~Part 4~ ~Part 5~
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x witch! reader Summary: You and Klaus have been playing this game between yourselves since your first meeting. One day, you two would fight with each other like dogs, and the next day, you would flirt and act like people completely mad with love. But whatever was between you two, you would never lose this game and admit that you fell for him. He would only use you for your power, right? At least that's what you were telling yourself all this time. Words count: 4,2k
Tumblr media
I had no idea what I was doing here.
Wearing one of my fancy black dresses, I was staying in the middle of Mikaelson's compound in New Orleans, with hundreds of people surrounding me.
I was definitely making a huge mistake.
But a few hours ago, when my Mystic Falls gang tried (and failed) to kill these crazy heretics who came to our town two weeks ago, I could only think about coming here.
I needed to find a safe place to stay until Damon or Stefan called for my help.
But after hours of driving here, I wasn't sure if I still wanted to be a part of their group. Yes, I loved them all, especially Bonnie, who became my main "witch-teacher" after I found out I was like her, but sometimes I felt used by them. My power was stronger than any typical witch's. Even Bonnie was surprised to see the things I was able to do until my strength was exhausted and my nose started to bleed.
One day, Damon said that I was their greatest weapon. Then I burst out laughing. Now I'm not so sure how much the black-haired man was joking and how much his words were true. But I had to keep the promise I gave myself and stay with them, if only for Bonnie's sake. She would have killed herself trying to protect her friends, and I wouldn't let that happen. After all she did for me, I have to repay her debt of gratitude.
I turned on the radio while driving to nowhere and heard one of my favorite Mikaelson's, beloved, old songs, which was "better when it played at ball without this strange background sound." That's when I remembered Rebekah and her last words before leaving for New Orleans with her brothers: "You know, if your gang falls apart, you can always come to me. It would be funnier to have a partner in crime against Nik."
After a lengthy moral debate within me, I decided to fuck Salvatore's opinion of me and visit their nemesis. If Damon was so smart to make and realize his own crass plan without telling anyone, I could do something really stupid too and spend a week (or more) with Rebekah. After all, no one could control me.
Then it seemed like a very good plan.
Now with so many people around me, I decide that I have made a great mistake.
I totally forgot that four days ago, Bekah told me about the "engaged party" of Katherine and Elijah. (Thank God for my magic. At least I could turn pants and a T-shirt into a pretty dress.) I sent my gift to the happy couple with separate, joking congratulations to Katherine for "entrapping her Mikaelson after a long couple of centuries" without actually intending to attend the party.
Elena and Caroline would skin me if they knew that instead of buying them fancy birthday presents, I spent my money on something special for my best friend's big day.
In retrospect, I'd like to see their faces. They would be invaluable. Especially Damon's.
"My God, look who arrived!" a familiar voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Hi Beks." I turned around to face her.
"Hi Beks? You appear here without telling me or Katherine anything; you hide in the crowd with a mean expression on your face, and all I get after months apart is a simple "hi"?"
"Well, in my defense, I was thinking about bringing you wine, flowers, cake and saying, "I'm sorry, baby,"  but I figured it would be only a waste of time and my money because you're going to yell at me anyway. Also, your boyfriend would be jealous." she started laughing and pulled me into a hug.
"I haven't seen you for too long."
"Bekah, we were talking yesterday morning."
"You called her yesterday and didn't call me?!" I heard Katherine's resentful voice behind me.
"You look gorgeous, honey. Engagement suits you." she gave me an unimpressed look. "Oh, c'mon. Don't be angry. I'm here now, ready to give you compliments and fight with your fiance's brother, who loathes you. Now, show me the ring. I want to see how much money Elijah was willing to spend on you." she burst out laughing, waving her ringed hand in front of my eyes.
"You realize you're not getting off so easily? Besides, something must have happened for you to suddenly decide to come."
"We can talk tomorrow. Tonight, it's about you and your undying love for her brother." I pointed to Rebekah.
"Talking about my brothers. We'll use some help with Nik's composure for the rest of the evening."
"It is so bad?"
"Yes. He's been following Elijah and trying to convince him to change his mind since this morning." Katherine complained. "He doesn't leave us alone, even for half a second."
"Do you two really think I'm able to "charm" him for the rest of the night?"
I asked, doubts about his supposed affection towards me. Since our first meeting, I and an original hybrid have had a kind of love-hate relationship. At the beginning, we only had short, verbal skirmishes, then it evolved into an open war (he tried to hurt Bonnie, so I gave him a headache and snapped his neck. After that, he used one of his hybrids to crack my car, so I convinced Rebekah to steal his car keys and give them to me. He gave up after two weeks of our teasing and after I (with little of Damon's help) ruined all his dark plans. The original hybrid bought me my own car, trying to bury the hatchet between us.) After a month of these events, the hatred between us began to develop into a kind of mean-companionship. At least no one had tried to gouge out the eyes of the other one anymore. Our "game" developed so much that one day he began to tease me with flirtatious phrases. And it's not true that I choked on my drink and blushed like a teenager from a romance book when he called me for the first time his "innermost, darkest pleasure," whispering it with his seductive tone, which he undoubtedly used for many women before. It was at our school party in the style of the 20s. Since then, I've figured out how to play by his new rules. I couldn't be worse than him.
"Well, you're doing your job even now. He's been staring at you for about five minutes, and you haven't even used any magic. I think we all know why, but you're too stubborn to admit it, so you might as well use his soft spot for you as reparation for your silence for 3 days."
"It's not a soft spot or any other stupid feeling you assume. This is a game."
That was our way of communicating: by circling around, lulling the other person's vigilance, and attacking when he least expects it. At the end of the day, I was just a toy for him—a mortal witch who was never scared of a 1000-year-old hybrid. He proved it after he moved with his family to New Orleans, and I never heard from him again.
"I like spicy stories, but please, keep my brother's kinks away from me. BOTH of you. It's just disgusting." Rebekah shuddered.
"I'm not…"
"Did I hear something about kinks? Y/N darling, it's a pleasure to finally see you here!" Kol suddenly appeared from nowhere. He got closer to me and gave me a strong hug.
Tumblr media
"What the bloody hell? You should be on Hayley's tail!"
"Relax, sister. Our brother's formal one-night stand peacefully came back to her husband and wolves. Which means I'm free for the rest of the evening.     Y/N do you want to dance with me?" without waiting for any response, he took my hand and led me to the dance floor, where other couples were dancing.
"Alright, what did you do?" I asked, eyeing him suspiciously.
"I have no idea what are you implying. I just wanted to dance with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time."
"Kol."
"Y/N."
"Okey, okey. Don't look at me like that. In a nutshell, there is a girl." Oh, I've heard about her. I was curious how much of the original's interest in this girl was genuine.
"My God. I never expected to live to see the day Kol Mikaelson finds his epic love." I cut him off with a smirk.
"She is a hag like you, by the way." he continued, ignoring my taunt. "She doesn't want to know me, but she loves me. I just need a little magic of jealousy, and voilà, I'll be kissing her at the end of this night."
"And you didn't think, Sherlock, that acting like this would make her think that you only play with her?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. The gears in Mikaelson's head began to turn.
"F*ck. So what should I do? I've tried everything. Flowers, jewelry, old grimoires, unexpected almost-dating, puppies, cats, and all of this modern stuff."
"The idea of coming to me with a "love problem" is as ridiculous as expecting an answer, but I will try my best because you are kind of my friend and seem desperate. I don't know if you thought of it, but speaking with her and making a true confession seemed too simple, didn't it?" I said it sarcastically.
"You mean… "L" word?" he cleared his throat, ashamed.
"For the love of God, Kol Mikaelson! Do you love her?"
"Of course."
"Then get out of my eyes and tell her, not me." he disappeared as quickly as he had appeared, leaving me alone in a sea of people.
"Little bastard." I said it to myself while trying to get out of there.
But someone made sure I wasn't left alone for too long.
"Hello, my love."
I would recognize that voice even on my deathbed, and I undoubtedly knew that he would someday be the reason for my death.
"Hello Klaus." I turned around to look him in the face. He had grown more handsome since the last time I saw him, which worried me a lot. I tried to hide my unwanted emotions behind a sarcastic smirk.
"If you're wondering if Stefan or Caroline sent their regards, I'm going to have to disappoint you."
"Actually, I'm wondering who I have to kill." I frowned, not understanding him. He swept me into his arms and whirled me about the dance floor as the orchestra played. "I knew you were planning not to go to this party. Katherine was very upset about that."
"So you must have had an enjoyable couple of days." I can't stop myself from interrupting him. He gave me a small smile, shaking his head in amusement. I was so close in his arms that I could feel his every breath adjust to mine.
"You don't usually change your plans, so it's obvious that your bunch of stupid friends must have done something impressively dumb. And quite possibly, it has to do with the emergence of competition vampire's group in Mystic Falls."
"You seem quite well informed, especially for someone who doesn't care about anyone but his family."
"Ouch. As mean as I remembered."
"And you're as irritating as always. It looks like no one changed."
I sighed as I looked around the room. Mission successful - Katherine talks to Elijah. The only problem was that they looked like they were gossiping about me and Klaus…
"Tell me, did you miss me?" Klaus' taunt diverted my attention.
I thought for a moment about how to answer his question. Of course, I missed him. I frequently found myself recalling memories of us in locations where I was at the time. But as I said to Rebekah and Katherine, there was no bond between me and Klaus. We were just two bored souls who were looking for entertainment. We liked messing with people and making fun of them. That's all. There is no feeling involved. But it doesn't mean I will miss my chance.
"Yes." I whispered this while staring into his ocean eyes, never taking my gaze away from him.
He was surprised by my bold, direct statement. He leaned slightly closer to me. His gaze was moving from my eyes to my lips.
Tumblr media
"I was bored as no one was trying to hurt me or my friends. Fortunately, Miss Salvatore came back with her own, special family." I got a little closer to him so I could whisper in his ear. "And then we had a new member of our group. Enzo. He's incredibly handsome and was an excellent substitute for your company."
He moved his hand slowly as he extended his arm to encircle my back. Then he dipped me deeply, looking at my eyes all the damn time.
"Be careful, my love. You may fall for him, of course, if you have a heart." he whispered, tightening his grip on me. I held my breath, too enchanted by the moment to respond to his taunt.
I should feel uneasy, distrustful, and disgusted that I am at his mercy, for he could drop me at any moment. Instead, all I could feel was being hypnotized by his blue eyes until he helped me get back on my feet again.
"Every girl would love him. He has dark hair, plays the guitar, and speaks with an English accent. Everyone's type, espessialy mine." I said, when I came back to my senses. If he wanted to tease me, I'd make sure I was a worthy opponent. I just had to keep my emotions under lock and key.
"So your "type" has to have an English accent? It's good to know."
"Yeah, but not as old as some of the people who live here. Also, not this one who wants to get closer to me only to use me for my power."
"You really think that little of me?"
"Is it truly important what I think about you?"
"No, not if you want me to remain a stranger to you. Not at all. But I'd like to think that we are more than we're willing to admit."
"Are you drunk?" I asked, taking a step back to examine him more closely. He began laughing at my reaction, drawing me closer to him once again.
"No, my love. I'm honest. But I'm not sure if there's a big difference between these two."
"You're honest only if you know it's in your interest. Clearly, you want something for me because you've been nicer to me than you have in the last few years. But you have to know I'm not that stupid to let you control me." I got out of his arms and went out in search of a room free of anyone.
"Running away isn't a solution, Y/N! I hope you know that." He shouted as he followed me. We came to a halt as we entered his art studio. Of all the fucking places in this huge villa, it had to be the den of the big bad wolf.
"Katherine has managed to escape you for more than 500 years." I said this without giving him a single, damning look. I much preferred to admire his works.
"Yes. Because she wanted. I'm not sure if you share her desires." He grabbed my arm, turning me to face him.
"What kind of fucked-up game are you playing right now?!" I yelled, yanking his hands away from me. He confused me. We never crossed that unspoken line in our banter. Few months apart, and now he shares the attitude of our crazy friends. That kind of playing wasn't fun at all.
"Did I bring up a sensitive topic? You're not ready to finally stop lying to yourself?" I laughed, mocking him.
"I've never claimed to be a saint." I growled at his face.
"You also never admitted being a sinner."
"That's good I've always wanted to be an anti-hero, then." I whispered, looking into his mesmerizing eyes, not even realizing that as we talked, we were getting closer, as we were suddenly a foot apart. I felt his hand slip around my waist like a snake. He pulled me closer and then I found myself pressed between his warm chest and cold wall.
"If only you weren't such a paranoid woman and suspected me of using you whenever I wanted to get closer to you. Maybe you would understand who you should be scared of and what is truly between us."
"Said the man who murdered his biological father because he was afraid Ansal would endanger Hope."
"You seem quite well informed, especially for someone who doesn't care about me."
"Katherine and Rebekah are gossipers. You can't blame me for listening to them."
"You have an excuse for every circumstance, don't you?"
"It's not my fault you can't accept the truth. Whatever you've been taking today, you'd better take less of it. It's damaging your immortal, ancient head." I started to turn towards the door, but he stopped me by grabbing my hand.
"Don't turn your back on me, love." he threatened, keeping his firm grip on my wrist.
"Or what are you going to do? Dance with me again? You're right, it's so dangerous and horrible that I can't take it anymore." I ignored his warning and tried to leave the room.
He used his vampire speed and pinned me against the door. He leaned in, his eyes closed, and rested his brow against mine. In a silent, peaceful room, our hard, synchronized breaths were the only sound I could hear. My world shrank to just the two of us. The party outside was long forgotten by me.
He rubbed the tip of his nose on mine. I shivered as I got close enough to him for the first time to feel the warmth of his lips (and yet they were so far from mine).
"You have no idea… what you're doing to me."
His deep, hoarse whisper reminded me of who was standing in front of me and why I couldn't give in to my inner, treacherous desire. Before his lips could catch mine in his intoxicating trap (and possibly destroy me for any other men), I wrapped my hands around his neck and pinned him against the door, keeping a decent distance between us.
When he felt a piece of wood on his back, he opened his eyes, looked at me, and gave me an impressive glance. He giggled sinisterly, sending a shiver down my spine.
"For your own good, if you're not ready for a fire, don't play with it, love." I leaned slightly toward him, still catching his gaze with mine.
"Who said I wouldn't be the one to burn you?" I whispered against his neck, placing a burning kiss on it.
His soft, strangled moan after I gently bit into his skin was enough reward for my patience and a sign to stop before things got deeper.
I slowly took my hand from his arm and put it on the doorknob. I smiled on his neck because he was too preoccupied with the feeling of my lips to notice anything. I decided not to tempt fate anymore. Hybrid could easily take control from me (which wouldn't be good for me at all). So I pulled the handle and opened the door. The original nearly fell down because of my sudden, unexpected move.
I left Klaus behind in my haste, casting a quick glance behind me. It was definitely worth it. His look of indignation will stay in my mind for a long time. This battle was mine. We gonna see what future bring.
I walked into the room in a magnificent mood and took the glass of wine from one of the waiters.
"Can everyone get together, please?" Elijah caught everyone's attention. "Thank you. I wanted to thank everyone for coming to our engagement party. Me and my beloved fiance are very happy to see people around us who are wishing us a long, beautiful future." the crowd began to applaud, interrupting his speech for a moment.
"Such a diva." I whispered under my breath as I sipped my wine. Rebekah somehow heard this and tried to hide her laughter.
"But I didn't gather you all here just to talk about my luck. We wanted to announce who, from our closest friends, will be the second-most important couple at our wedding. My best man and Katerina's maid of honor, I don't think it will surprise you that my best man will be my brother Niklaus."
Klaus stood on the stairs next to the couple, wearing his trademark sly grin. He scanned the crowd. His gaze lingered directly on me, and he didn't want to take his eyes off me. The little bastard must have been up to something.
"I've been thinking about this since the day we got engaged, and to be honest, the decision wasn't as easy as it seemed to be. It was my desire to have this person as my maid of honor, but circumstances indicated that, unfortunately, my dream would not come true. You don't know how happy I was when I heard a few hours ago that she agreed. So without further extensions. My chief bridesmaid and best friend, Y/N Y/L!"
Applause erupted around me. It took me a second to recover from the shock and climb the stairs. I was standing right in front of this smug son of a bitch.
"Thanks for asking." I said to Katherine when Elijah ended his speech and people spread around.
"Klaus didn't tell you?" she asked, looking at her future brother-in-law.
Tumblr media
The original just shrugged.
"Don't worry, Kath. I won't make a scene. I'm not going to play according to the script of this drama queen. It will be a pleasure to be your maid of honor."
"I'm not a drama queen." the hybrid interjected, frowning.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I responded, giving him a small look.
"If you're so worried about my good sleep, why don't you join me in my bed, love?" he asked, coming to my side, so I had to give him my attention.
"Ha ha. Not even in your wildest dreams."
"In my wildest dreams, we don't need a bed, love." he said, casually adjusting the strap of my dress on my shoulder. His icy fingertips brushed against my heated skin, right next to my collarbone.
"You're the thousand-year-old father of a little girl. You don't think it's time to act like an adult and not a horny teenager?" I asked, grabbing his hand and pulling it off me.
"Ouch. But then you wouldn't even notice me." he pretended to be offended. He also tightened his grip on my hand without thinking of letting go. I fell into his trap with my own fucking wish.
"Believe me, it's impossible to miss you. I've tried. Many times." I growled, trying to free my hand from him.
"Aw, is that your way of telling me I'm special to you?" he asked, clearly amused by my annoyance. I've never seen such a huge smile on his face.
"Yeah, like a plastic, red punch cup at a school party," he laughed, reluctantly releasing my hand.
I turned to say something to Kath, but then I realized that she had left us in the middle of our conversation. I sighed as I was alone with him again. It's going to be a very long week (or month).
"By the way, when are you going to tell me I'm Katherine's maid of honor?" I asked, favoring him with my look again.
"It must have slipped my mind when you were passionately kissing my neck, love."
"Oh, I remember. You were moaning for me like a street lady."
I turned to leave, but he suddenly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his hard, well-built chest. He placed my head on his shoulder and cupped the tip of my right ear with his lips. His fangs came out, reminding me of his superhuman strength. Sometimes I forgot that the man I was teasing could easily break me with a flick of the wrist. Of course, if I let down my guard and drop my magic for a moment. We both knew that was impossible.
"Maybe I should return you a favor, and then we will see which one of us is making the most tempting moans?" he whispered suggestively and placed a small kiss under my ear. "What do you think about it, love?" he asked, rubbing his nose against my neck. He took one deep breath before placing his revange-wet kiss there.
And then, when I was burning for even his littlest touch, he just walked away like nothing happened.
I stood there, frozen in shock, watching his receding silhouette (definitely with a proud smirk on his face).
There was only one thing in my head.

The Hope of the Mikaelsons family Part two
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/n and Klaus deepen their bond as they spend the day painting together at Klaus's mansion. Caroline tries to reassure Elena and the others about Klaus's character, emphasizing that he has changed since his daughter's disappearance. Meanwhile, Marcel contacts the others to discuss the surprising news about Caroline's younger sister, Y/n, who shares the same name and age as Hayley’s missing daughter.
"Hey, I'm here, sorry for being late." Carolina sat on a chair next to Elena
"What took you guys so long? " Elena asks but she noticed you were not here "Wait, where's Y/n?"
"She's with Klaus." Carolina smiles
"Klaus Mikaelson is here?" Bonnie asked shocked
"Yes." Caroline nods with a smile
"Why did you leave Y/n with him? He's dangerous. " Elena says worried about your safety
"Come on, you know he changed."
"Do you really believe that he did?" Elena asks
"You know that he changed for his daughter." Caroline answers
"But sadly she got taken away."
"If he didn't change he would be after you Elena." Caroline looks over at Elena
"You're probably right Caroline that he has changed. " Elena smiles
"Believe me he did and I know for sure he wouldn't hurt Y/n. " Caroline smiles, knowing that she can trust Klaus with you
"So where are we going?" You asked Klaus
"To my Mansion I hope your sister doesn't mind." Klaus smiles
"Can we paint?" You asked with your puppy eyes
"Of course love." Klaus grabs your hand
"Rebekah, your family and you need to come to Mystic falls. " Marcel says, though the phone
"Why did something happen?" Rebekah asked worried
"No, but something might happen. I can't tell you over the phone it has to be in person." Marcel answers
"Fine, we'll be there tomorrow." Rebekah ends up
Marcel walks into the living room to find Klaus and you painting, "she loves painting just like you."
Klaus smiled "Yes, she does."
"As much as I love shopping, we have to be done, I need to go get my sister from Klaus." Caroline took out her phone to call Klaus "hey where are you guys?"
"We're at my Mansion painting Why?"
"It's time to go home, see you in three.”
"No, it's fine, I'll bring her home."
"Klaus I don't think it's a good you know how's my mother."
"I know, but Y/n is having so much painting."
"Fine, bring her home before 7."
"I should will."
"So?"
"I guess we can go on and shop again."
"Why did Marcel call you?" Freya asked
"He wants us to go to Mystic falls because he needs to tell us something." Rebekah says
"I can't leave New Orleans, I still need to look for my daughter." Hayley tells Rebekah
"I know Hayley but he wants us to go to Mystic falls." Rebekah tells Hayley
"Is it really that important that he couldn't tell you over the phone?" Kol asked
"Klaus probably did something stupid." Elijah said
"Who knows but we're leaving tomorrow."
Klaus was walking you to your house "love I had so much fun today."
"I did too. could we do it again?"
"Of course."
Your sister opened the door with a smile "thank you so much for bringing her home safely."
"Of course Caroline we had so much fun today."
"I'm glad that you both did."
"Bye love, have a good night. " Klaus gave you a kiss and a hug as Caroline give him a sad smile
"Bye Caroline."
"Bye Klaus."
It's been a long drive for the Mikaelson siblings and Hayley but at least they were in Mystic falls already
"Thank you guys for coming. " Marcel welcome them
"Now tell us what you couldn't tell me over the phone." Rebekah tells Marcel
"Caroline has a small sister." Marcel tells them
"And?" Kol rolls his eyes
"What does that have to do with us?" Rebekah asks
"You made us come here just to tell us that Klaus's girlfriend has a sister." Kol crossed his arm
"Klaus has been hanging out with her so much she loves painting just like Klaus now they're painting buddies." Marcel says
"I'm confused when did Caroline have a sister?" Freya asked
"Probably she was hiding her from the drama and the supernatural that's going on." Hayley answers
Marcel gives Hayley a sad look "Hayley I'm sorry."
"What are you sorry for? " Hayley asked, confused
"For what I'm going to say her name is also Y/n and she's also five years old just like your-"
"Just like my daughter. " Hayley says sadly "I want to meet her so take me with her
"She'll be here in a few minutes."
minutes later They heard a door open
"They're here."
Klaus and you walked into the living room, Klaus was shocked to see his family here
"Hey. " Klaus greets making everyone to turned around to face Klaus and you they gave you a shock stare
"Meet Y/n forbes." Klaus smiles
"Hey little one. " Everyone smiles at you
"Hey Klaus, can I talk to you? " Hayley asks
"Can it wait?" Klaus says
"No."
"Fine Y/n stay here I'll be back."
"Why didn't you tell me about Y/n?" Hayley asks hurt
"Because I didn't wanted you to think that she's our daughter." Klaus tells Hayley sad
"I know, but I deserve to know about her. I wanted to go back to New Orleans, but I'm going to stay just in case."
"I don't know if Marcel told you but she loves painting. She's a professional at painting." Klaus smile
"Yeah, he told us." Hayley laughs, "I didn't know that Caroline has a sister."
"I didn't know either, but Caroline told me Y/n was living with some family In New York because Caroline and their mother wanted her away from the drama and to keep her safe."
"Interesting."
"I know right but anyways let's go back to the living room."
Klaus and Hayley went back to the living room to see that you started already painting
Hayley looks at you "She's a good painter."
Klaus nodded "you should see her drawings as well, she's making beautiful drawings."
"Klaus come here and paint with me." You said
"I'll be right there in a second." Klaus tells you
Hayley went to sit on the couch with Freya and Rebekah as kol and Marcel were watching Klaus and you paint
"Are you ok Hayley?" Freya asks, worry
"I don't know if I'm?" Hayley answers
"What's wrong?" Rebekah asked
"I don't know, but I feel a connection with Y/n she's just like Klaus, they both love painting." Hayley says
"I feel it too. There's something about her and we're going to figure it out."
"Ok painters come here and take a break Elijah baked cookies for us to enjoy." Freya said, smiling at you
"Yay cookies I love cookies." You jump up and down happily
"Here's your milk sweetie." Hayley handed you your glass of milk
"Thank you, could we watch a Disney movie?"
"Of course love what movie do you want to watch?"
"I want to watch Encanto."
You lay between Klaus and Hayley as the Mikaelsons and Marcel smiled at the image of the three of you that they decided to take a picture to have it as a memory
By the time the movie ended you fell as sleep with both Klaus and Hayley holding you as they slept as well, everyone were sleeping not waking up as Klaus phone kept ringing
"There's bad news Sheriff Forbes."
"What is it?"
"The Mikaelsons are back in town."

Warnings: Angst & Abuse. In particular, religious/cult abuse. Death, dying, and trauma after a near-death experience. Dissociative vibes. The end has a really reaffirming, comforting example of friendship. I wish everyone had a Josh in their lives.
Author's Notes: I really struggled on this chapter. Mostly because I've been sick for all of July and only recently started to recover. My spirit was willing to write but my flesh was weak. 🤣 Anyways, I'm still on my Angsty!Davina hype. This chapter delves deeper into that. Oh! By the way, I changed "Vincent Webb" in Chapter One to "William Webb" so as not to confuse everyone because there's already a "Vincent" in The Originals. It'll be William Webb moving forward.
This'll be the last Davina chapter for awhile.
Please feed me comments, hearts, and reblogs if you liked this 🌹You can find me on A03 as accidentalslayer.
Pairing: Yandere!Elijah & Klaus Mikaelson x Fem!Reader (eventually) Summary: Davina gets an unexpected visit from her best friend Josh who has some, erm...concerns about her mental health. Also, life gets weirder for the young Harvest Girl when a truth is revealed. One that could change her life forever.
Recommended Song: "You Were Cool" by: The Mountain Goats

Chapter Three: Jonah's Whale (Part Two)
Cold hands shook Davina. Muffled sounds hit her ears. Someone was shouting, their voice fraught with urgency. It was enough to snatch her out of sleep and snap her eyes open. Peering through a blurred vision still addled by dreams, she looked up at the person who had a vice grip on her arm, then blinked.
It was a boy; dark-haired, dark-skinned, wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch polo shirt underneath a worn hoodie that looked like it'd seen way better days. Fastened around his wrist was a friendship bracelet that Davina immediately recognized as the one she'd made a year ago while living at St. Anne's. The initials 'J.R.' and 'D.C.' embellished its design in bright, rose-colored thread. The letters were joined together like clasped hands inside a heart that she'd gotten a migraine over weaving at the time. Davina was a much better artist with charcoal sticks than with cotton twine, anyways. Despite all the grueling hours of training she had gotten out of the Sanguinem Knot.
Groggily, Davina wondered if she could trust her sight?? Perhaps this was another nightmare or an illusion cast by Monique to trick her? Could it really be...
"J-Josh...?"
"Davina!"
It looked like Josh. It sounded like Josh. It bit its lip nervously like Josh. But Davina needed more proof just to be sure. Illusion magic had its limits. And memories weren't easily replicated. So, she asked the boy something that only the real Josh would know:
"What was my favorite show in 9th grade? If you don't answer it correctly, I swear to the goddess, I'll scream so loud the whole compound will hear it."
"Josh" released hold of Davina's arm, a confused frown upon his lips, "Uhh, that's a trick question, right?? You told me your mom only let you watch TV for "educational" purposes. I was the one who got you into binge-watching stuff for fun. Uhhhh, but hey, Davina, your books are-"
"List the three most embarrassing things you did in grade school. Your Sonic and Winx Club phase doesn't count."
"It SO does."
"Screaming in...three...two...one-"
"Okay!!!" The boy who might be Josh exclaimed, throwing both hands up in the air and conceding to her demands, "I stole a pack of cigarettes out of my homeroom teacher's purse on a dare then puked when I tried smoking too many of them to impress my crush. My mom made me wear this baby bear costume on Halloween and I had to go trick or treating in it. I accidentally sent nudes to my uncle-"
"Josh! It IS you!"
"I mean. Yeah, duh. Why wouldn't it be?? I texted you yesterday about coming over, remember??"
Despite being a vampire with heightened senses, Josh didn't see how fast Davina moved from her seat to pull him into a hug. And he was surprised by how hard she squeezed him, like he was a life raft, or buoy on some stormy sea. Josh took it all in stride, though. He knew Davina well enough to understand that she was going through Hell now that she was back with the Coven. But there was something...off...about her. Different than before. His eyes strayed to the steel table he'd found her crouched over and fast asleep upon. To the book pile she'd been thumbing through...
Every tome on the table was scorched. Strange writing had been scrawled across their pages in Davina's penmanship. Josh didn't recognize the language. The words seemed foreign. Unearthly. Almost alien. But there was one symbol he could decipher amidst the chaos; it was the number 7. It repeated (over and over again) in varying fonts and sizes.
Josh waited for Davina to pull away from the hug before asking if she was okay. Although, judging by the dark circles underneath her eyes, it was a safe bet to assume that she wasn't.
"I'm fine," Davina replied with a smile on her face, "Just passed out while studying these grimoires. They're super old-fashioned. Like, created in the Dark Ages or something. The Coven says they're mandated reading material for us Harvest Girls. But between you and me? I'd rather be studying Grapes of Wrath."
Josh grimaced in response, "Yeesh, that bad?"
"The worst, actually."
"They look, uhhh-"
Josh trailed off, trying to think of the right word to use, but ended up saying the one that was on the tip of his tongue:
"-crispy."
Davina pointedly ignored his comment. Instead, she offered Josh some tea with a tired sigh.
"I'm more into the red stuff these days...but sure. I'll have some if you do." He answered her, trying to keep his voice light and carefree, "Anything in those cabinets that'll help me walk in the sun??"
"Nope. Just peppermint."
"Damn! Foiled again!"
This merited a smirk from Davina. Josh took the win, following his friend across the conservatory, to a small alcove where an electric kettle and tea service was laid out for anyone's use. There was even a convection oven, accompanied by all the fixings for toast. Davina flipped the power button on the kettle. Silently, she watched as it began to heat up and boil their water. Josh tried filling the empty space with conversation.
"So, it looked like you were having a nightmare. A really bad one. Wanna talk about it?"
Davina made no comment besides a quick shrug and a grunt. She seemed more preoccupied with choosing the mugs they'd drink out of. Or the tea they'd make. Undeterred, Josh pressed the issue harder, hoping his friend would open up to him.
"You know," he continued speaking, "they say that telling a friend about your nightmares can help them seem less scary. Like, once you talk about it, you'll see how ridiculous the dream was. Sometimes, I still have nightmares about waking up in class buck naked, and Klaus is there..."
Davina rose an eyebrow, "Who's 'they'??"
An embarrassed laugh rolled out of Josh, cheeks reddening upon admittance that it came from a self-help book he was reading; 'The Dark Side of the Light Chasers' by Debbie Ford. He'd found it laying in a cardboard box on the side of the road somewhere. He'd been going through each of its chapters (sporadically) ever since he'd found it.
"I dunno, the author writes about meditation and meeting all your different selves inside your head like Doctor Strange. I did this one exercise at the end of a chapter about self-love and acceptance and uh, I met the "me" I was before. Before all the fangs and the blood and the suddenly burning in the sun. Fun times, haaa! Anyways, look. I'm here for you, Davina. If you need a shoulder to cry on? An ear to listen to you?? We're friends! And that's what a friend does! Well, uh. I guess that's what I think a friend should do-"
Josh frowned, then said quietly:
"-I haven't really heard a lot from you lately..."
The electric kettle shut off. The water was ready. Davina poured the boiling liquid into two, footed mugs that she had chosen. Then, dipped the tea sachets in with care. The aroma of mint filled the air and the space in-between where Josh waited patiently for Davina to say something. Anything! But she didn't. So, he continued to talk while she listened, hoping that his friend would participate eventually. He was starting to get a bit frustrated by how silent Davina was being.
"You know, there's this story in that book about a person who was also having trouble sleeping. His name was Jonah. That dude from the Bible. He'd heard the voice of God tell him to pass judgment on the city of Nineveh and he reeeally didn't want to. So, he ran. Then, a whale ate him, and literally only spat him up when he accepted what he was running from. I'm not a religious person but what I'm trying to say here is-"
"That I shouldn't go on boating trips?" Davina posited, finally adding to the conversation. She offered Josh his cup of tea afterward.
Josh made a sour face while accepting the tea. He obviously didn't appreciate her wry sense of humor here...
"No! That you shouldn't run away from the things you're afraid of because you'll just make it worse for yourself. And in the end, you'll have to face it anyway. But unlike Jonah, you don't have to face it alone, Davina. I know you're going through shit after dying and being resurrected. Who wouldn't be, right?? But lately, I've been feeling like you're shutting everyone out. You haven't texted me or Cami back in weeks. What's up with that, huh??"
Now, it was Davina's turn to make a sour face.
"I'm just really busy here, Josh. Being a Harvest Girl means I have responsibilities to the Coven."
"You hate the Coven!"
"I know, but...I'm still a Harvest Girl."
"And I'm your friend, Davina! Cami is too! Don't we deserve to at least know that you're okay?!"
"The Coven said I couldn't use my phone here in the compound. They said they want me to focus on studying and classes only. No distractions..."
"And you couldn't sneak on the phone to tell us? We've been worried about you! Cami and I have been worried sick! Fuck the Coven!"
Davina rubbed her temples in response, "Josh..."
"Davina."
"What's really going on?? You're acting weird as hell."
Josh sipped his peppermint tea nervously, then flinched. He'd misjudged how hot it still was and burnt the roof of his mouth in the process. "Mm, this sure is some great leaf juice you've brewed-"
"Josh!" Davina exclaimed, starting to run out of patience, "Enough stalling. Spill. Now. What's up with you?"
With grim reluctance, as if he were pulling teeth, Josh revealed the (true) reason for his visit. It all came down to one name. A name Davina should have guessed was involved from the very start:
"It's Marcel. I-I know you guys aren't on speaking terms right now, but uhh...he's been worried too. About you. About sending you back here. About pretty much everything, to be honest. He wants to know how you're doing? If you're doing okay? Aaaand...he needs your help with a spell."
Davina groaned, "UGH. Of course he does! When does he NOT need me to do his dirty work?!"
"This isn't for him. It's for Cami! The curse on her uncle is getting worse, Davina. He's going nuts in that church of his. Marcel was wondering if there was any way to reverse whatever the Coven put on him? I don't think he has much time left..."
At the mention of the Coven, Davina tensed. She placed her cup down on the alcove's table. There was an air of finality to the gesture.
"Josh, it's different now. I can't do magic for him anymore. I can't do magic for anyone anymore... The Ancestors won't allow me. And if I break the rules again?? They'll do worse things than what they did in that abyss to me. Marcel doesn't care because he's not going to die, Josh!! Neither will you! Father Kieran and Cami are going to Heaven but I only have one place to go after this!! I can't mess up my last chance with the Ancestors...or the Coven. I won't."
Davina expected Josh to argue. Clearly, he had a stake in whatever drama Marcel was cooking up. She could see it in his eyes. A quiet desperation, like a fly caught inside a clever spider's web. Why else would he be doing this? But to her surprise, Josh only nodded. He didn't fight to change her mind.
"I'll tell Marcel you're doing fine," Josh said, "No, scratch that. I'll tell him you're doing better than fine, you're doing awesome! And that...you can't help him anymore."
"Josh, I-"
"Davina, don't."
Soft arms wrapped around Davina unexpectedly and cut short whatever apology she planned on saying. Now, it was Josh's turn to give his friend a sudden hug.
"Don't ever apologize for setting a boundary. You don't owe me or Marcel or the world shit! Okay?? If anything, we owe you. I owe you. You saved me from Klaus. You gave me back my control."
He squeezed Davina tighter in his embrace.
"Promise me that you'll take care of yourself and if you need to talk, that you'll call me. Or text. Or Instagram works, too. I'm always there to listen. You're my best friend, Davina. And the strongest person I've ever met."
"You're pretty strong too, you know?"
Josh chuckled, "I'm starting to be. Couldn't have done it without your help, Super Witch."
The mood lightened. Josh and Davina spent the rest of their time together, reminiscing. Bonding over the good memories they had. Those sacred spaces in-between murderous witches, miracle babies, Machiavellism, and The Originals where they were allowed to just be kids. And do things that kids do. Although Josh's gaze strayed to the pile of scorched books once (or twice), he made no comment on them.
Josh left somewhere around midnight. The smile in her heart left along with him, returning Davina back to reality. She ruminated while she cleaned up the mess leftover from making tea. Images of the nightmare swirled inside her mind. Filled her with dread. She was no stranger to dark dreams or terrible visions, especially after her experience working for Marcel, but this one felt...different. It felt ominous. Like the first scream of a hurricane siren.
Davina...
Or the rumblings of a storm.
Find her, Davina Claire...
As she was shelving the last item away, the floor began to shake, and the walls trembled. Her ears rang with the sound of the voice. Nearly bled. Its volume had increased tenfold since the last time she'd heard it. Davina braced herself against the onslaught, using all her strength to ignore it. But the voice proved too powerful.
She fell upon her knees and shouted, "I CAN'T! I can't help you!! I can't do ANYTHING for anyone anymore!! Don't you understand?!? I am the girl bound in chains! I am shackled to a people who HATE me and control my every move! So, to Hell with New Orleans! Let this city be swallowed up! It's NOT a French Quarter Witch's problem!!"
There came a pause in the quaking and thunder. The stillness that came afterward was thick with tension. It was as if the entity was considering its next words carefully.
You are not a French Quarter Witch, fire maiden. You are a Prophet. Called to a higher purpose. To serve the light that burns within you...
Find her, Davina Claire, and together the two of you shall be free.
"W-wait, what?! I'll be...free?"
No further elaboration was given to Davina. She called out to the entity several times. All she got was silence and stillness in return. Davina stayed in the conservatory, amongst the potted plants, until dawn broke and colored the sky with hues of gentle pink, yellow, orange, and sky blue. And in a semi-stupor, Davina began to repeat a single word underneath her breath...

By the time I was leaving the Mikaelson’s compound Caroline was already there waiting beside her car smiling brightly at me. I vamped directly towards her throwing my arms around her laughing. “I’ve missed you, Care.”
“I missed you too, Rae.” She broke the hug resting her hands on my shoulders getting slightly serious. “Now seriously I can’t believe you are marrying the crazy original hybrid. Like you should be given a ribbon or something cause it’s so crazy but adorable at the same time.”
The front door swings opened causing us to both turn our heads and see Rebekah striding up to us in her original body. Her blonde hair was bouncing before she pulled me in for a hug too. “I’m happy to see that my brother finally let you out of his bed. Because I felt offended that I had to learn about your engagement through a text from Caroline.”
“Look I owe you both an apology. I’m sorry now can we go get Cami and Davina. Cause we all need to get drunk with alcohol.” Throwing my hands up I sent them a look with the puppy dog eyes.
We got in the car and picked up the other two from the bar since Cami got off work at three so we had the rest of the night free. Our group of girls entered the dress shop and as if on cue Caroline raised her glass of champagne. “Alright ladies our mission is to find the perfect wedding dress for Raelyn-“
“Who exactly put you in charge?” Rebekah snickers at her standing by Davaina
Caroline glared at her. “I did and Raelyn was very thankful about it.”
“Awe Rae I thought I would be the wedding planner since you are marrying my brother after all!” The blonde original snapped, placing a hand over her heart.
Cami raises her glass to her lips nervously asking. “Am I going to have to be a counselor between who gets to be maid of honor?”
Pushing myself up from the chair I got to my feet shaking my head at the pair. “Look, how about we do it this way? You both be maid of honor. Bex you handle the stuff with your brother and Care you handle getting everything set up. Sounds good to everybody.”
The young witch made a face at me. “Not to make a deal about this but are you sure you’re not marrying a mad man. He literally has people quack at the sound of his name.”
“It’s okay, D. I know he wants people to fear him but I couldn’t do that even if I tried. He’s been there through my best and darkest days.” Clasping my hands together in front of me.
Cami grinned, pouring herself some more champagne. "I told you there was good in him now let's drink and find a dress."
"Yes let's because Raelyn needs a dress that makes her look like a badass princess." Caroline clanked her glass with mine.
Davina made a face between our group. "I'm shocked Klaus doesn't just have a wedding dress in his creepy family collection that he wants you to wear." Everyone chuckled at the before we spent hours searching through thousands of dresses until I found the perfect one.
Davina drew back the curtain letting me walk through where she didn't dare take a peek at the dress since I wanted everyone to see it at the same time. Standing in front of the large mirror. "So what do ya'll think of this one?"
"Oh it's beautiful." Cami clasped her hands together on the verge of tears.
Caroline took Davina’s hand in hers where they said the exact same thing in unison. "You look so wonderful in that."
"You're a freaking princess, Raelyn." Bex jumped up to her feet running over and hugging me. "My brother is gonna find you so damn hot."
Turning back to face the mirror the dress had a long train in the back that had lace going down my back and around my waist. It had short sleeves that reached just to the start of my elbows. And there was a slit in the right side of the dress where you could see my cowgirl boots sticking out. "I am really doubting he will let me wear it forever considering this morning we haven't been able to keep our hands off each other."
"Oh my gosh so that is what you were doing when I called!" Caroline screamed, covering her hand over her mouth.
Dropping my gaze to the floor I blushed a deep red brushing hair behind my ear. "Sorry Caroline…"
"I have a question how exactly are you going to get everyone to not be fighting at the wedding?" Cami raises her hand.
Rebekah waves her hand scoffing. "Oh please. Everyone will always come together for Raelyn. Especially on a special occasion." I grinned remembering the night we had a camp fire.
"Okay so I feel like you need to spend your birthday like normal since you and Jacob had to do the Merge thing.” She had come over a few weeks after we had come back to see her high school graduation and it was nearing our birthday which was this weekend but Jacob and I didn’t really like to think about it anymore.
I roll my eyes playfully. "Care I love you - but where is this going?"
She gets up pulling out a camping backpack from behind her back. She started throwing clothes inside along with boots and hair bands. I raise myself up in a sitting position with my legs crossed. Her head shoots up, grinning proud. "We're going camping. Oh and you're gonna love this. I called Elena, Bonnie, Matt, Jacob, Stefan, Rebekah, Elijah, finally Damon and Klaus."
I clasped my hands over my mouth cackling in giggles. Caroline tilts her head to the side in annoyance raising her eyebrows. "I'm - I'm sorry care. But you think it's a good idea to put Damon and Klaus together with all our friends."
She tossed the bag at me, and I caught it sloppily. "This is serious Raelyn. I feel like we all need to come together and be nice on your special day."
I changed into a simple outfit chuckling at my best friend. "I know that Care but how could you convince everyone to come?"
She tosses my gear in her car, starting to drive to our campsite. "Well it basically goes like this....Bon, Elena and Matt have been my friends since kindergarten so they were all in. Rebekah really likes you , Elijah thought it would be a good idea along with Stefan and..." she takes a breath finishing. "Damon wants to come and get you drunk off Bourbon even though you’re pregnant. Jacob is your twin so this is his birthday party too...and Klaus, well you've dating so he's definitely coming - since he apparently loves birthdays."
I laughed a little at her as we drove to the LockWood estate and the old well. Jacob has chairs and coolers set out. Matt is helping Bonnie and Elena with snacks. Finally Damon and Klaus are watching Elijah make a firepit while drinking. "Presenting her royal highness, the birthday girl. Raelyn and her brother Prince Jacob!" Caroline announced with a bow as I blushed at her. Becca comes forward first hugging me and setting a flower crown on my head.
Elijah hugged me after and the wind knocked some leaves off and they fell on his suit. "I didn't expect such problems from activities such as these." He complimented pulling some out of his hair and brushing some off his suit.
Everyone else was in outdoor clothes so we all had to laugh at how silly the suit wearing Mikaelson looked out here. Damon vamped to me, joking. "I tired to get him to change into something else but he wasn't having it....he's acting like we are attending a ball in the woods."
Nik chimed in his hands together behind his back, smirking at me and Damon. "I'm starting to be the fun brother aren't I, mate?"
Damon shakes his hand back and forth meaning 'kinda' "just a little." Damon rolls his eyes stepping away to help the others set up camp.
A smile meets my lips when hearing Nik, pull me in for a hug and kiss my forehead. "You seemed surprised. Why is that, my heart?"
I take his hands in my own, replying. "I was surprised that Caroline convinced all of you. Once you said you didn't like nature unless you were running in your wolf form."
He smiles down at me, wrapping an arm around my waist. "Well I'd do anything for you."
Hours later night had fallen and everyone was gathered around the campfire. I sat in between Klaus and Damon as they insisted on it. Elena actually wasn't a whiny annoying girl for once. Jacob and Matt toss a football back and forth. Elena said, holding her drink in both hands. "I say we do truth or dare."
Caroline nods her head excitedly. Damon picked up his Bourbon saying. "Aww I thought blondie original would've jumped in and suggested wrestling."
Caroline rolled her eyes when Klaus sipped on a beer, smirking playfully. "Now - now Damon. That isn't a very nice suggestion. Even though Raelyn knows very well who would win."
I stopped drinking my coke to nudge him in his rib. Nik looked at me with his mouth parted as I shook my head at him. 'Play nice' my gaze tells him.
Caroline cuts the intense glares between the two boys. "With that said - let's play the game!"
I take a sigh of relief as we finally start. I went first asking Becca. "Who was your first kiss?"
She said, "Marcel" Nik clutched a hand into a fist at the name.
Damon snipped sipping his Bourbon again. "Alright barbie. Your turn."
Caroline tapped her chin pointing to me. "Rae, truth or dare?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Uh, dare."
Elena and her share a glance smirking before she states. "I dare you to sit on Damon's lap.." Elena glanced at Nik. "Until the game is finished."
Nik death glared at Damon with a look that read 'I - will - kill - you'. I go and sit on Damon's lap and he smiles proudly.
Klaus got to pick the next game which was 'Never have I ever'. I really hoped he didn't ask questions from centuries ago. "Never have I ever kissed more than 8 guys?" Bonnie asked Caroline, Rebekah and Elena to take a shot.
Stefan questions the group. "Never have I ever played seven minutes in heaven?" Everyone except for me, Klaus, Elijah, Matt and Caroline drink. I glanced out of the corner of my eye to see Nik staring back at me. I mouthed 'really?' referring to him and Elijah never playing it. He shrugs his shoulders tilting his head my way and I shrug back at him.
Rebekah jokes, leaning forward a tad in her lawn chair. "Caroline, really. I thought you'd be a girl who would be all over that?"
Caroline shrugs her shoulders explaining. "Tyler took me away from those types of games."
Rebekah came back handing us each a fresh drink, revealing from behind her back in her other hand an empty Bourbon bottle. Becca exclaimed through the woods as the fire snapped and crackled. "Alright everybody, we are playing spin the bottle now!"
Caroline whines a tad. "What are we thirteen again?"
Becca glared angrily at her. "I suggest you shut up, before I shove my heels in your face!"
At that I jumped up standing in front of the original with my hands up. "Becca-" I warned.
Klaus adds on. "You know that won't happen, dear sister."
Becca looked over my shoulder at her brother snipping. "And why not!"
"Because I'd dagger you. We agreed to be civil on Raelyn and Jacob’s birthday!" Nik sits up, glaring at her intensely.
I whipped my head around snarling with golden eyes at my boyfriend. "Niklaus! I thought we agreed no more dagger threats!" He smirked just leaning back in his chair.
The game went back to Truth or Dare where my brother gave it a go towards Rebekah. "Truth or Dare."
She smiles "Dare."
Jacob paused for a moment "Snap off the heel of your boots."
Rebekah throws her arms in the air. "What ? No way!"
Damon points his finger at her, complaining. "I thought we all agreed to follow the 'have to do the dare' rule?" I take a swig of my drink, hoping this won't turn into a fight.
Rebekah raises her tone. "But these are my favorite pair!"
Matt spoke up, stuttering as he took a sip of his drink. "Can't you just get another pair..?"
Silence fell around the group as Caroline, Becca, Elena and Bonnie glared at him.
I just held my cup to my lips where Matt notices asking nervously. "Raelyn - why aren't you angry?"
I tilt my head to the quarterback joking a bit. "Don't like'm Matty. I always thought I'd fall and break my neck if I did." He chuckled, taking a big swing of his drink.
Elijah spun the bottle and it landed on Damon. "Truth or dare, mr. Salvatore?"
"Dare!" Damon challenges with a fist in the air.
Elijah thought for a moment before he came up with the perfect Dare for Damon - that would annoy him, "I dare you to hug Niklaus."
There was complete silence for about a minute before "What!" Damon and Klaus shouted at the same time.
"You can't be serious, Elijah, this is Damon's dare. You shouldn't involve me." Nik growls at his brother.
I started cracking up in laughter, slapping my freehand against my knee. Klaus and Damon both turned their heads to me, since I was sitting in between the pair. They all enjoyed seeing me having fun and laughing so they couldn't hide the grins on both their faces. Shortly after Damon stood up handing me his Bourbon as Nik stood up, and everyone watched them hug one another.
Damon slumped down in his chair, snatching his bottle back grumbling. "I can't believe I said Dare!"

Red Hot Winter- Chapter 20
Tumblr media
Hey guys! I was really busy in November, but here it goes chapter 20! And how do you guys feel about a Christmas chapter?
Chapter Text
Chapter 20 "Darkest Little Paradise"
Mystic Falls. They were back at it again, but instead of Caroline and Elena staying in their house, not that Elena had a house to return to after burning it all down, they were at the Originals Mansion.
Klaus and Caroline didn't want to waste any time, the hybrid especially. He had waited for Caroline for too long to wait even a few months to finally marry her.
Hayley, Bonnie, Davina, and even Kol were with them. Elena didn't particularly like the fact that Elijah's youngest sibling was spending so much time with the young witch, but Elijah assured her that if Kol even thought of betraying them, he'd gladly join her and kill his brother again.
"Tell me again what you wanted to do to me the night your family threw that ball." Said Elena the night they got there.
Klaus and Caroline were out in town, and Bonnie had taken Davina to the Mystic Grill with Kol on toll, leaving the mansion to Elijah and Elena. They were in the living room, dancing together with barely any distance between them.
"I believe I told you it took everything in me not to steal you from the Salvatore brothers." He said, smiling at the memory.
"And what exactly did you want to do to me if you got me away from the Salvatore brothers, Mr. Mikaelson?" Elena asked, whispering in his ear.
"Well Ms. Gilbert, let's just say I wanted to do things and give you pleasure that no boy in this little town was ever able to, and now that I've got you, they never will." He said, his voice getting lower. Elena smiled.
"They won't hun?"
"Never." He said.
Elijah pulled her into his arms and kissed her the way he had wanted to kiss her at the ball in front of everyone. He held her close as he felt their lips and hearts intertwined in one sweet moment that seemed to last forever. Elijah had yearned for this back then and he would never stop. He felt like the most fortunate man in the world, and he knew that this was what true love was like; that he had found his greatest treasure in the woman in his arms.
Parting from her, the only thing he could see in her eyes was what was reflected in his own: love, true love.
Holding her up, he ran until he got to the room they were both sharing.
"Impatient much?" She asked smiling, when he dropped her on the bed, crawling up to her.
"It's entirely your fault love, I can't seem to get enough of you."
Somehow Elena had managed to take off, well ripped, Elijah's button-up shirt.
Elijah spread Elena's legs and went down on her. He felt like it was on fire and it felt so good that Elena couldn't help but moan out loud. Elijah continued pleasuring and nibbling and manipulating his tongue inside her with precision and skill, and it was too much for Elena to bear and before long she was trembling with pleasure.
Elijah kept going and sent Elena off for a second fall.
He kept nibbling and thrusting until Elena was an explosive ball of pleasure again and this time he was rewarded with a stream of juice from her. It was a truly intimate act of love.
"So good for me, my love." He said, coming back to her, smiling at her. Elena felt as if all her inhibitions had disappeared and she had completely surrendered herself to him. She looked up into his eyes and kissed him again, more passionately this time. At that moment, she felt more alive than ever before. She felt a never-ending connection with Elijah and the pleasure he had given her was incomparable. Their kiss was long and passionate, expressing everything they were feeling without using any words.
Elijah shed the rest of his clothes away, but before even making any movement, he looked at her silently asking her.
"Yes, my love." She answered.
He began to move his body in a rhythm that delighted her senses and made her feel alive. His touch was soft and gentle as he kissed her neck and caressed her curves, increasing the intensity as her arousal heightened. His movements were in perfect harmony with hers, and soon her body was trembling with anticipation as her excitement built.
He teased her nipples and trailed his hands down her body, inciting a deep purr from her lips as he explored and caressed. His skillful strokes aroused her completely and soon she was shaking with need. His mouth found hers and they shared an intimate kiss, his hands still exploring as he deepened their kiss. As they moved together, Elijah knew he was giving her pleasure, feeling her body respond to his every move. His pleasure heightened as he felt her response to his touch.
Elijah's thrusts increased in intensity, pushing Elena over the brink of ecstasy as his passion grew, increasing with every movement. Elena cried out as her pleasure reached new heights with every stroke. Elijah watched as she began to tremble and shake, her climax imminent. He thrust harder and faster, pushing her over the edge. Elena's peak crashed into his body as she collapsed against him, her cries turning into soft moans of joy. Elijah followed soon after, reveling in the feeling of Elena's pleasure against his own. Elijah held her close while they basked in the afterglow.
He gently kissed her and lay next to her, bringing her body next to his own.
"I love you, my lovely Elena." He said, his eyes fluttering shut.
"I love you too Elijah." She said, laying her head on his shoulder and letting herself fall asleep.
The next day both Elijah and Elena had plans with Klaus and Caroline respectively, while Elijah did have one small thing to do after following his brother.
Both Elena and Caroline would have lunch with Sherrif Forbes, who wasn't exactly thrilled that her son-in-law-to-be was Klaus Mikaelson, but she also knew that Klaus would protect and love Caroline no matter what.
While Klaus and Elijah had other plans.
"You know I can't keep this from Elena, don't you?" Asked Elijah, when Klaus told him his plan.
"Brother it's poetic justice. Besides, I've talked to Elena about it." Said Klaus.
"You have?"
"This morning while Caroline was getting ready."
"And what did she say?"
"She told me she did try to do something at the time it happened but Stefan didn't do anything."
"And what exactly do you plan to do with Damon, brother?"
"He won't die Elijah, but he will certainly suffer for abusing Caroline."
Elijah knew why his brother was doing this. Caroline was a young vampire, she'd never be able to make Damon pay for what he had done to her when she was human, but Klaus could. As far as he knew, Damon had only tortured Elena to try and get her to flip her humanity back on, and that certainly could constitute a reason for Elijah. Assaulting a woman and making her forget about it was one of the worse crimes vampires, and even humans could do and both of them would make sure Damon paid for it. Caroline was part of their family after all.
The Salvatore house appeared to be empty. Rumor had it that Stefan was in Texas, giving into his Ripper persona after Katherine died. Klaus opened the door and the smell of human decomposition hit both brothers right away. Three humans lay on the living room floor, completely drained of blood.
"What are you doing here?" Asked a grumpy and drunk Damon, carrying an almost empty bottle of scotch, showing up in the living room. "Aren't you supposed to be planning your little wedding to vampire Barbie?" That prompts Klaus to run to Damon, holding his neck and slamming him into the wall.
"Don't you dare say a word against my fiancé and queen, Damon!" Said Klaus, in a threatening tone. The young vampire just laughed.
"I was right to always use her to distract you, and it always worked." Damon persisted.
Klaus put his hand inside Damon's chest gripping his heart.
"You see, after Caroline said yes to marrying me she told me about how you'd drink her blood and sexually assault her when she was human and make her forget about it."
"She's lying and you know it." Says Damon, challenging him. Elijah knew right then that this would be a lot more painful for the young vampire than it needed to be.
Klaus smiled and compelled Damon.
"Tell me what you did to her."
Under the compulsion, Damon started admitting.
"I'd drink her blood until she passed out and then take what I wanted from her body. When she would regain consciousness, I'd make her forget about the attacks and make her use a scarf to hide it."
"Were there other women?"
"Yes."
"How many?"
"Too many"
Klaus removed his hand from Damon's chest, and the vampire fell to the ground.
"You're gonna kill me for doing that to her? You'd have done the same thing to her." Says Damon, massaging his wounded skin.
"I and my sibling might've been raised by Mikael and Esther, arguably two of the worst parents to ever roam the earth, but none of us would ever take from a woman what isn't ours to take," Klaus said, kneeling to the ground, still smiling. "How do you think we should do this brother?"
"Death would be too easy Niklaus, you shouldn't bite him either. Even during his reaper days, Stefan would beg you to cure Damon." Replied Elijah.
"You're right brother." Klaus picked Damon up and sat him down on a wooden chair Elijah had put in the middle of the room. Compelling him again, Klaus said, "Don't move."
"What's up with you two? You used to fight a lot more." Says Damon. "Don't tell me your kid all across the pond soften the heart of the big bad Klaus Mikaelson?"
"Don't you say a word against my daughter!" Shouted Klaus, snapping his neck.
"Now Mom, tell me." Said Caroline. She, Elena, and her mom were all having lunch in the most expensive restaurant in Mystic Falls. Caroline and Liz only were there a few times during their lives, but the previous night the Sherriff knew Klaus could offer her daughter the type of life she always dreamed of, and Caroline had told her if she let her Liz would live that type of life as well, but she could tell her mother was hiding something from her. "What are you keeping from me?"
"Caroline!" Says Elena.
"It's okay Elena." Says Sherriff Forbes. "I didn't tell you anything last night Care because you seemed so happy telling me all the details of the proposal and showing me the ring, and the plans for the wedding. Caroline, the truth is… I've been diagnosed with cancer. They can't remove it, and I don't want treatment. I don't want to watch my life fade away. I want to enjoy what I have left, and walking you down the aisle is more than I can ask for."
"What…no, mom, no!" Caroline started crying reaching out to her mother, who was crying as well. "No, this can't be happening mom, tell me this isn't the truth Mom, please!"
"I'm sorry Caroline."
Meanwhile, in the Salvatore mansion, Klaus and Elijah had taken turns staking Damon everywhere but his heart. That's until Klaus had an idea. Carrying Damon's weakened body to the Salvatore cellar, he dropped him to the floor.
"Niklaus, you need to end this rendezvous of yours." Says Elijah, after reading a text from Elena.
"Why's that? I'm having fun brother."
"Elena texted. She said Sherriff Forbes had unfortunate news to both her and Caroline today."
"I know. I could smell it last night when I and Caroline took her to dinner. I couldn't tell her, and her mother asked me not to tell her anything. We're almost done."
Damon opened his eyes, immediately standing up. Klaus smiled evilly, compelling him once again.
"Now, I want you to stake yourself, repeatedly close to your heart. When you pass out from blood loss, drink enough from the blood bags you have just to regain enough strength to go back to staking yourself."
Leaving the cellar, being followed by Elijah, they locked the door behind them and exited the Salvatore house.
Opening the trunk of his car, Klaus changed his shirt from the bloody one he was wearing. Elijah did the same with his button-up and suit.
"You go home now brother, I have something else to do." Said Elijah.
"Care to share?" Asked Klaus.
"Perhaps you know Niklaus." Replied Elijah, smiling.
Klaus got into the car and started driving back to the Originals Mansion, while Elijah took the route to the woods.
A few minutes later, he reached his destination. The Gilbert family burial plot. Kneeling, Elijah started talking.
"Mr and Mrs. Gilbert, you don't know me, but I've heard a lot about you from Elena. I know you were her real parents, not Isobel or John, though they sacrificed themselves for her. I also know you know my kind, the Originals. I was turned into a vampire by my parents, and I didn't want that at first. Before Elena came into my life, there was truly no reason for me to stay alive. She brought me back, she gave me a reason to keep fighting, to stay alive even when my family is going through the worst period we've faced. I've warned her about my enemies, but still she didn't back away. I love her, and I'm never going to stop loving her, always and forever. I'm not even sure if any of you are listening but I'm asking you to grant me the exceptional honor of the hand of your daughter in marriage."
A few seconds went and the wind carried a daisy right into Elijah's hand. This particular flower, for the Vikings, means love and admiration.
"Thank you!" Elijah said, smiling.
Later that night, after Klaus calmed Caroline down and Elijah was back home, the doorbell rang.
"Hayley, why don't you answer the door?" Asked Elena. She knew who was behind the door. That was something she and Caroline had planned in a very quick motion before coming to Mystic Falls. Klaus, Caroline, Elijah, Elena, and Hayley were all in the living room.
Hayley dropped the book she was trying to read and got up from the couch. Before she even opened the door, she heard a child laughing. Klaus was beside her in a second, with Elijah following suit. Caroline and Elena were watching the scene playing out from the first steps of the stairs. Breathing out, and with her hands shaking Hayley opened the door.
On the outside, there was Hope, a bit older, being carried by Rebekah.
"My daughter!" Said Hayley, breaking down crying and immediately grabbing her from Rebekah.
"Mommy!" Said Hope, gripping Hayley's hair, and smiling. Not taking it anymore, Klaus hugged both Hope and Hayley. "Daddy!" Said Hope, cheering.
"Hope, my littlest wolf." He said, kissing her forehead. Hayley turned around and walked into the house. "Hope, this is your uncle, Elijah," Klaus said, though Hayley didn't want to let her go. Elijah just shook his head.
"Hello, my dear." He said, kissing her head.
"Eli, Eli" Hope tried to say his name, but couldn't.
"She can't spell it, it's too hard." Said Elena, laughing.
"Hope, this is your aunt, Elena." Said Elijah. Elena came to them, smiling at Hope, and kissing her cheek.
"Lena," Hope said.
"She can't spell yours either, my love," Elijah said, smiling at Elena.
"Hope, this is Caroline." Said Klaus. "She's going to be Daddy's wife in a few days, which makes her your stepmother."
Hope smiled at Caroline and instantly some white rose pattels started to fall on top of Caroline's head.
"Oh hello my dear." Said Caroline, kissing Hope's cheek.
"Care" Said Hope.
"That's right love!" Said Klaus, kissing his daughter again.
Hayley took Hope upstairs, followed by Rebekah, Elena, and Elijah.
"How… How did you do that love?" Asked Klaus, hugging Caroline.
"We couldn't get married without her being here now, could we?"
"I love you so much, Caroline." He said, caressing her face with his hand.
"I love you more."
"Is that even possible love? If you do recall, I'm an original."
"Yeah, but I'm always right." Klaus laughed in a way he hadn't in a long time. Klaus leaned in close to Caroline, looking into her eyes as if for permission. She didn't need to say anything for him to know what he wanted, and he could almost feel her need for him mirrored in his own heart. He felt his lips growing, ever so sweetly drawing closer to her own until they finally met. He kissed her with a passion that he had never felt before, one that seemed to be shared by her. They clung to each other tightly, as if each with one of them were the other's lifeline. As their kiss deepened, everything around them seemed to fade away, and they were lost in each other for what seemed like an eternity. The desire he felt for her was like nothing he had ever experienced before. Her lips were soft and inviting against his, and it felt like all time had stopped as they kissed. He felt as though he could stay that way forever, feeling her warm breath on his skin and holding her in his arms. As they finally pulled away from each other, they both had a knowing look in their eyes, as if they knew that this was only the beginning of something wonderful.
"I can't wait to marry you, love," He said.
"I'll be the one in white, if you want a hint" He smiled at her.
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"For everything."
"You don't need to thank me, Klaus. I love you and I'll always be here, always and forever."
"Always and forever, love"
For the first time in a long time, The Mikaelsons were at peace.
For now, at least.

I walked into the Abattoir with a façade of confidence. I was now completely sober, facing the repercussions of my drunken actions. It'd been about a week since my agreement with Elijah and he'd only just called me in to speak with him yesterday.
I was currently cursing my drunk self, but at least Marcel was now allowed back into the Quarter without any fuss. Of course, he wasn't allowed back into the slaughterhouse, but he did compel himself a nice little townhouse a few minutes of human-walking away from my place.
In New Orleans, it was always better to live in the Quarter than anywhere else. This was the heart of the city's supernatural happenings. You were both safest here and also at most danger. But I guess, if you had enemies, you wanted to be in the Quarter because, if you had a crew to roll with, then nobody would really try you.
That's how it used to be at one point in time, and that's what the factions were trying to achieve now.
I was immediately greeted after making it past the gates. "Y/N," Elijah said, walking towards me, hands held out. He wrapped an arm around me, walking me to the couches in the middle of the courtyard. I tried not to show any discomfort at the physical touch. "It's lovely to see you."
I chuckled a little. "Feeling's mutual," I replied, causing the nobleman to let out a little laugh himself. I sat down on one of the couches while he sat on the other. "So, what have we got today?"
He sighed, "The withes are unhappy because of- all due respect, Marcellus' actions."
Right. Marcel forbade anyone to do magic. While I understand his reasoning, trying to protect a little witch by the name of Davina Claire, it was cruel. To ask a witch to go without magic was like asking a human not to breathe; it was damn near impossible.
Even though I get what he was trying to do, I still didn't agree with it—but that didn't mean that I agreed with what the New Orleans witches were doing either.
"So I've heard. But I'm sure you're aware of why he did what he did." He was; otherwise, I wouldn't have brought it up. I wouldn't do anything to endanger Davina; she'd become like a family to me. I knew that the Mikaelsons knew all about Davina, the harvest, and whatnot.
"Yes, of course. To protect Davina, I understand. She is special, without a doubt." Elijah's voice with filled with nothing other than conviction; I'd expect nothing less when people were speaking about Davina.
I smiled thinking about her. "Yes, she is."
"However, it still hasn't done us any favours on a community-wide scale." Elijah ran a hand through his hair. "The witches' spokesperson, Genevieve, is just about furious with the treatment they've received." A look suddenly appeared on his face. "And considering the... interactions my family has had with her, I wouldn't want to anger her further, especially since Hayley is with child."
This was the first time my heart didn't stop at the mention of Klaus' unborn baby. Instead, I was too focused on the witch Elijah named: Genevieve. Now, this was a name Marcel had somehow neglected to inform me about, but I was well aware of who she was.
From my understanding, Rebekah Mikaelson killed her the same year the Mikaelsons fled New Orleans, sometime in the early 1900s. Marcel spilled the whole story to me one night when he was drunk.
Genevieve died. Yet, according to Elijah (and I know this is not a coincidence) she's alive leading the NOLA coven.
Great.
I responded after a beat, bringing my hands together. "Okayyy, so what are we doing?"
"Making the witches happy, love."
Now my heart stopped.
I turned my head to see Klaus just finishing walking down the stairs. "Elijah tells me you're our new... fixer." He shrugged, making his way to the minibar. "So fix it."
"Niklaus."
"Get a grip, Elijah. I don't think I'm offending the young woman," he said before turning to face me. "Am I offending you, love?"
I skipped the whole processing bit of this situation and dived straight into my persona. "Not at all."
Klaus made a gesture to me with his hand, turning back to his brother. "See, Elijah. Marcel's right hand has tough skin." Elijah responded with a much more exhausted sigh than before, rubbing his hand on his face. Klaus ignored this, turning back to me with a bottle of bourbon in his hand. "Want me to pour you a glass, Y/N?"
"It is ten o'clock in the morning, Niklaus."
"All the more reason," he quipped back. "Y/N?"
I tried to loosen up, but my smile probably came out a little more tense than I originally intended. "I'm good; thank you."
Klaus looked at me for a few seconds before shrugging and pouring his own glass. Elijah took this opportunity to continue, but not before letting out another sigh. "As I was saying before my brother so tersely interrupted us, Genevieve has agreed to meet with us after I told her that you—Marcel's right hand, as Niklaus put it—were going to be representing us."
I tried to focus all my attention on the task at hand instead of my absent father who kept looking over at me periodically. I remembered what this was like when I did it for Cellie; I just had to get back in the game. "So, if you are looking to make an agreement of some sort, what are you willing to negotiate—give up, even?"
Just as Elijah was about to answer, Klaus briskly cut him off. "Oh, that's all on you, love." I narrowed my eyes slightly and he elaborated. "You decide then and there what you think is fair." He shrugged again, and although he looked carefree, he also had a smug look on his face that I doubt he was even trying to hide. "Ball's in your court." This was a test.
I didn't ponder on that for too long, nodding to him. "I can do that."
Klaus nodded back. He looked like he wanted to say something, but a quick look from Elijah seemed to make him want to hold his tongue. Thank God.
While I seemed like I was coming a long way, just the mere idea of holding a conversation with this man was terrifying. There were so many things I was holding my tongue about. It was just lucky that I so happened to be 500 years old. A few, quick conversations with my dad who had no idea I was his illegitimate child would not break me. Maybe it fucked with my head, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle.
I'm here after all, aren't I?
Elijah cleared his throat. "Well, it seems to me that we've discussed everything we needed to discuss for today." He stood up and I followed suit. "Again, it was lovely seeing you, Y/N."
"Likewise." I shook the hand he held out, once again ignoring the weird original rush I felt. "I'll see myself out." Couldn't get out faster.
I walked toward the exit before Elijah could say something gentlemanly about escorting me out and before Klaus could say something that'd boggle my mind even further. I assumed he'd text me the details about the meeting later.
I took a deep breath immediately once I was far enough from the compound that I was sure they wouldn't hear me. I had no idea how I was going to get used to any of this, but it was too late to go back now.
In the meantime, I decided to take my mind off the Mikaelsons for a bit by visiting someone who I've yet to see.
Tumblr media
I walked into the old church with caution. It wasn't like I had a problem with Kieran; I just felt awkward whenever I talked to him, so I'd rather avoid him. I've had enough awkward situations in these past few weeks to last me a lifetime.
To my luck, he was absent and so I just walked straight upstairs, dodging cobwebs as I went until I made it to the attic's ajar door. A girl sat on a stool in front of an easel, painting a landscape. She was so focused she didn't even notice me push the door the rest of the way open.
I smiled, leaning on the door as I looked around the room that'd changed since I last saw it, now more decorated and screaming it'd been touched by a teenage girl. "So Marcel's still got you holed up in here, huh?"
She instantly spun around with her jaw dropped. "Y/N?!" She ran toward me, engulfing me in a tight hug that I'm sure would've broken some bones if I was human.
I chuckled, "Hi, Davina. I've missed you, too."
She pulled back, looking over me with disbelief visible on her face. "Oh, my God- when did you get back?"
"A little while ago. I'm sorry I couldn't come see you sooner, but I've been absolutely swamped. I promise, though—going into the future, I'll make time to see you." Davina smiled, pulling me back in for another hug. Her happiness spread to me and I started smiling so hard that my cheeks hurt. I think this might be the first time I've been this happy since I got back to New Orleans.
Davina was an amazing kid. I was supposed to meet up with Marcel the night of the harvest when he saved her, and so I ended up meeting her a few months before I left. She just so happened to be one of the few people who know my secret. She was incredibly gifted and reminded me so much of my younger self. I felt like I owed it to her, to myself, to be there for her. In the short time I've known her, she's become something like a little sister to me, if not a daughter.
When we broke from the hug, we both ended up sitting on the bed. I let her catch me up on what's been happening, even though I already more or less knew it from Marcel's summaries. "Okay, so if the witches aren't trying to hunt you down anymore, why are you still hiding away in this attic?"
"Well, I'm not hiding away anymore," she replied. "Marcel just figured it'd be safer for me to stay here instead of with them. He still doesn't trust them and, honestly, neither do I. They've been acting kind of weird since the witches were resurrected, but I just deal with it and go there everyday to practice."
I hummed. I understood Marcel's reasoning; keeping Davina at the church was actually pretty smart. I wouldn't trust her with a bunch of vengeful witches, either, especially after they tried to kill her once. But this attic was far too small for a little girl to spend her days in.
I looked around the cluttered room, thinking before I said screw it and decided to propose my idea to Davina. "What if you didn't have to stay here?" I asked, looking back at her.
She furrowed her brows. "What do you mean? It's not like there's anywhere else I could go, besides with the witches."
"Not necessarily true." I sat up straighter. "I mean, my townhouse has three rooms, and only one of those rooms isn't empty." I shrugged, gesturing around the room. "It's bigger than this place, so all your stuff would fit."
She sat up too. "Wait, are you being serious?"
"Hell yeah, I am. And the protections on my place are a lot better than this church's, trust me."
"You want me to move in with you?"
"Yeah, Davina, that's what I've been sayi-" I was cut off when she threw her arms around me in the tightest hug she'd given me since I entered the attic, and that was saying something.
"Oh, my gosh! Yes, of course!"
I giggled at her enthusiasm, hugging her back before pulling away to pull my phone out of my back pocket. "Okay, I'll drop you off at the apartment now and I'll text some people to come pick up your stuff and bring it to you." I glanced back up at her for confirmation, looking back at my phone when she giddily nodded. "You can just make yourself at home and get settled in. I'll be home a bit later; I just have a business meeting first."
"Yeah, sure." Davina then stood up, looking around and clapping her hands. "I'll start packing!"
I laughed for what felt like the umpteenth time since I've seen her, standing up too. "Alright, D. I'll see you later," I said, but she was already far too engrossed in packing her things, giving me a distracted goodbye. I shook my head, the corners of my lips going up even higher as I left the room.
Thank God I wouldn't have to come back to this creepy ass church anymore. I really hadn't even thought of asking Davina move in with me; it was such a spur of the moment kind of thing, but I had no doubts then and no doubts now. She'd be safer with me than here, with the witches, or even Marcel.
At the though of my friend, I went to text him about this new development, coming across a message from Elijah along the way.
Elijah M. We'll be meeting the witches at 7:00 PM at the compound.
You OK, I'll be there.
I stuffed my phone back into my pocket after responding to Elijah and texting Marcel about Davina. Seven was two hours away, so I had time to go home and freshen up before the meeting.
I wasn't nervous; I'd already been here before, already done it all, but I did feel a weird pressure to do this well. Something in me said Klaus was counting on me to fail, so it was my job to prove him wrong.
Tumblr media
I walked right into the compound later without standing out front for ten minutes like I did this morning. I was gonna have to get used to this all eventually and I'd prefer that'd happen sooner rather than later.
I was apparently earlier than everyone else because there wasn't a Mikaelson or red-haired witch in sight. I checked my watch: 6:30, it read. Earlier than I expected, but that was fine with me. I wiped the imaginary dust off my outfit: slacks and a tight white dress shirt that I'd unbuttoned just enough to not look like a female Elijah. Resemblance to the Mikaelsons was not what I needed right now.
I was just about to pull out my phone to keep myself busy when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, my eyes meeting the mother of Klaus' kid. "Oh, hi," she greeted, a surprised look on her face. "What are you- oh, right, Elijah told me you guys were meeting with the witches tonight."
"Yeah- it, uh, appears that I'm a bit early." I chuckled, making small talk even though I really didn't want to have any unnecessary conversations with anyone that lived in this building.
"No, it's a good quality. Elijah's like that," she told me. I nodded, ignoring my thoughts which were questioning her relationship with Elijah. Something told me it was a lot more complicated than it seemed. "I wanted to thank you, by the way."
My brows furrowed. "Hm? For what?"
"For covering me that day with Elijah- and for saving me from that vampire that day, too," she expressed with an almost bashful look on her face. "I realize I was pretty rude to you, but I was really just having a bad day, and-"
"And I'm a vampire, so you were just being careful." She let a small, embarrassed smile form on her lips which I reciprocated. "It's fine, I get it. I'd do the same if I were in your shoes."
"Thank you for understanding; I really appreciate it." I told her it was no problem, resisting the urge to be nosy and ask why she didn't wanna tell Elijah what happened; I didn't want to risk her growing suspicious of me.
Before Hayley and I could fall into an uncomfortable silence, Klaus and Elijah strolled in through the gates into the courtyard. Klaus' eyes narrowed between me and Hayley, probably in a protective manner, while Elijah greeted me.
"Y/N, sorry to have kept you waiting-"
"Oh, no, it was no biggie." I gestured to Hayley. "I had good company, anyways." Hayley smiled, excusing herself after wishing us luck with the witches, but I doubted I'd need it.
I was good and I knew it. Half a millennium alone in the world taught you how to negotiate, how to get your way when you had no one else on your side. Really, I was less worried about the witches and more worried about being in Klaus' presence.
Speak of the devil.
"The witches should arrive soon," Klaus announced, glancing down at his watch then up at me, a smirk arising on his face. "And then you'll be able to play your hand."
I stopped myself from narrowing my eyes or doing anything that showed I felt the shade he was so obviously throwing my way. Clearly, without even having really spoken to me, dear old dad has decided he doesn't like me, much less trust me. I don't know why that hurt because I don't even want to be talking to him period. I guess there's just a part of me that disagrees with that.
Like this morning, Klaus didn't waste a second before walking over to the bar. "Can I interest you in a drink whilst we wait, love?" He poured himself a glass. "Some... liquid courage, if you will."
He's being a jackass on purpose.
I declined, "No thanks." I shook my head. "I don't need it." And I also don't need to be under the influence around the Originals.
Klaus chuckled in an almost sardonic manner. Like the night I met him, he had a dark air around him that he barely cared to conceal. Klaus wanted people to notice that about him; he wanted people to be scared. And I was, but for entirely different reasons.
However, I'd sooner die before letting him know that. If he wanted to play hard ball, then I'd be the best damn batter he's ever seen.
Klaus turned around, tipping his glass to me. "You're quite confident."
"Well, I can back it up," I quipped back. In response, he sarcastically smiled, taking a sip of the brown liquid in his hand. From the corner of my eye, I saw Elijah glancing in between us watchfully.
"So I've heard- and you know, it got me thinking, what exactly is it about you that makes you so special?" This-
I was given time to pause by Elijah's interjection. "Niklaus."
He held his hands out in the air. "What, Elijah? I'm just curious," he reasoned.
I cut Elijah off before he could say something more in order to respond. "No, it's alright, Elijah; I understand the skepticism." I looked back to Klaus whose eyes just so imperceptibly narrowed. "The reason why people are more inclined to listen to me is because I don't operate with a desire to instill fear in others, just respect." I maintained eye contact with Klaus, hoping he was picking up what I was putting down. I knew he got the message when I saw his jaw clench.
He looked like he was going to say something else, but before he could, the gates to the compound opened. All three of us looked toward the entrance to see Genevieve and two other witches walking beside her, like a little entourage.
Elijah seemed to let out a sigh of relief at the intrusion. "Genevieve," he greeted, walking toward them. "Thank you for agreeing to this meeting. Please, take a seat. Can we interest you in any beverages?"
While Elijah was clearly doing his best to mediate, Klaus didn't say a word, only burning a hole into the side of Genevieve's head with a hard glare while he drank his scotch.
The three of them sat down on one couch as Elijah and I sat on the one parallel to it. "No, that'll be alright," she said, crossing her legs. "I know you appreciate verity, Elijah, so I'm gonna be honest: I wouldn't have agreed to this meeting if it weren't for the woman sitting next to you."
Elijah nodded. "Yes, I'm completely aware. Y/N is here to make sure that we both get what we want and to ensure that the future of the Quarter, and everyone in it, is prosperous."
I smiled, holding my hand out. "Hello, it's lovely to meet you. I've heard many good things about you." That was a lie.
Shaking my hand, she responded, "Likewise. The elders of the coven are practically smitten with you. I've never seen witches so eager to deal with a vampire."
"Well, I hope that, after our discussion, you will also be more eager to work with the Mikaelsons."
Genevieve almost scoffed at what I said. In my peripheral, I saw Klaus roll his eyes—at me or her, I'm unsure. "Please, Y/N—I'm sure you're aware of who exactly these people are and what they've done. Even though you're a vampire, you have to admit it's outrageous." Her voice was incredulous.
I really don't understand what she was making a big fuss about. From the way the story was told, Genevieve used to have a huge crush on Klaus back in the day—ew—but I wasn't gonna actually use that against her. I didn't want her to resent me; I actually needed her to like me for this to work.
"I understand where you're coming from," I told her, managing to muster up a sympathetic expression. "But we all want the same thing: peace. That is the final destination; there are so many stops along the way to get there, so if peace is where we truly want to be, then we need to be willing to put aside our differences."
The redhead sighed. "I hear what you're saying, but how can we expect peace while working with these people? How do you expect us to trust them?" Now, Klaus scoffed, causing both Genevieve and Elijah to look over at him, Elijah with a more stern look in his eyes. I, on the other hand, ignored him altogether, focusing completely on the witch in front of me.
I said her name to get her attention back onto me, thus causing Elijah to look away from his brother, too. "I am, in no way, asking you to trust blindly. We're willing to negotiate; just state your terms." I knew this was dangerous, giving her the opportunity to ask for whatever she wanted, but the witches had been recently oppressed; giving them the chance to ask for what they wanted was like an apology of sorts, one that I felt they'd appreciate.
Genevieve looked hesitant, glancing at both of her associates, to Elijah, Klaus, and then back to me. Even without looking at him, I could feel Klaus staring at me, probably questionably. None of them were expecting that move.
See, because I was representing the Mikaelsons, Genevieve expected me to state their terms first then negotiate since they were more powerful. So, of course she was surprised.
After a beat of silence, she finally spoke up. "We want to practice freely."
"Done."
"And we want to celebrate our festivals without a hassle."
"Of course."
"And we want to reclaim witch territory for ourselves and ourselves alone, like the Lafayette cemetery."
"Reasonable," I noted, waiting for her to say something else. When she didn't, I asked, "Is there anything else we can give you? You don't have to answer right now; we'll take some time then I'll get a contract drafted-"
"Esther Mikaelson's grimoire." At her interjection, the room went silent. I didn't even wanna know what Klaus looked like right now, but Genevieve sure as hell seemed to have regained her confidence. "We want Esther Mikaelson's grimoire." That was one ballsy request.
"Are you out of your mind?" For the first time since the witches walked into the compound, Klaus spoke. I looked over at him to see a look of shock adorning his face as if the redhead just tried to kill him—and, I mean, was he that far off?
You don't ask for the Original Witch's spell book without wanting to kill or at least having the ability to kill if you so need it.
Elijah seemed to recover from a shock of his own, trying to calm his brother down. "Niklaus-"
"I am not giving you my mother's grimoire." Klaus had set his drink down, walking toward where we were all sitting. Smoke might as well have been coming out of his ears. I knew that, if I were one of the three witches sitting across from me, I'd be shitting myself. "After what you tried to do to my family, you expect me to hand over-"
"Niklaus." Elijah cut him off, but more firmly and this time Klaus actually listened, turning to look over at Elijah with hard eyes. His eyes flickered to me for a split second before looking back at Genevieve—or glaring, rather.
While Genevieve looked slightly startled, I saw the dead-set expression on her face. It'd be hard to try and convince her that Esther's grimoire wasn't what the witches wanted, but it was possible.
Gears turned in my head as I thought it over until a quick idea popped into my head. At that moment, I began, "I'm sorry, Genevieve. We can do everything else you mentioned, put it in writing, but Esther Mikaelson's grimoire is a no-go." I saw her shaking her head before I even finished.
"Then no deal-"
Elijah cut in, "Genevieve, please-"
"I can give you the next best thing." I caught Genevieve's attention easily, along with everyone else's in the room. In seconds, I had come up with a quick fix; it was a gamble, but if you aren't willing to go big, then go the fuck home. "I currently have a Bennett grimoire in my possession." I paused, gauging her reaction. Clearly, this night was full of surprises.
I suppressed the urge to glance over at my relatives; I had a feeling that I already knew what their faces looked like.
Genevieve struggled to compose herself, so I continued, "It's yours, so long as you accept." I understood what was happening here: the witches or the spirits or whatever were already decided, and they wanted the Mikaelson grimoire, but how could they be upset with what I was offering? A Bennett spell book was a damn good replacement if I ever saw one, and if anyone knew that, it was Esther's children themselves.
I knew the history—I've spent my life learning it. Ayana taught Esther everything she knew; the Bennett bloodline was one of the strongest, maybe even stronger than the Mikaelsons. And although I doubt Genevieve knew the lengthy Bennett history, she quickly got her bearings and responded, "I- we accept-"
I cut her off, smiling, "Great. Now our turn." I clasped my hands together. "You guys can keep your sanctuaries, the cemetery and whatnot, but in shared areas like the rest of the Quarter, we ask that you remain peaceful and avoid altercations with other factions. We're asking the same of the other factions, as well. Similarly, the Mikaelsons don't want conflicts, so we'd also like to avoid altercations in that area."
It seemed pretty simple because it was. It was like what Elijah said to me that night in Rousseau's: everybody wants power, and the witches were no different. They didn't agree to this meeting for peace; they agreed because they wanted power, and the Mikaelsons struck this deal for the same exact reason, even if that's not how the nobleman would've phrased it.
While I didn't provide the witches with the same prepared list of terms, what I was asking for would have the same effect. The Originals were already on top, so what more did they really need to ask for?
Genevieve, once again, looked over at the two girls sitting next to her who both nodded at the silent question she was asking. When she turned back to me, the smallest of smiles was on her lips. "You have yourself a deal."
I reciprocated her expression as we both stood up. I shook her hand. "Pleasure doing business with you. I'll work on getting that contract drafted in more detail, so please, come to us with any other requests you may have."
Genevieve nodded, letting go of my hand, and Elijah took the pleasantries from there, walking them out of the compound. This left Klaus and I alone momentarily.
I looked over at him to see that he was already staring at me. I felt a chill go down my spine from how intently he was looking at me, my mini adrenaline rush dying down. It looked almost like he was picking me apart with his gaze.
I didn't want him to think I had something to hide, so I held his stare. We were both silent until Elijah walked back. This time, he didn't seem to sense the tension in the room—that, or he just chose to ignore it.
"Thank you, Y/N," he said. I looked away from Klaus to smile in response, but the second I did, he broke his vow of silence.
"How do you have a Bennett grimoire in your possession?" Klaus' voice was cold and accusatory, just as his eyes were. Elijah just might have frozen had he not been a thousand-years-old; hell, I probably would have, too, but I'd already been crafting an explanation as soon as the idea popped into my head.
Not the real explanation, but one that made more sense.
I shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "I met one a few hundred years ago. She died after she was in the wrong place, wrong time, but she left that book to me."
Klaus didn't look sold. "A Bennett witch left her grimoire with you, a vampire? Not with her family?"
"Well, to be fair, she wasn't in touch with her family at that time," I retorted. "And I was human at the time so, yes, she left it to me because she knew it could come of use one day."
Klaus didn't reply to me, instead choosing to continue staring me down. However, his glare was now lessened, so I knew he sort of believed me, even though he had doubts.
In the time that Klaus wasn't saying anything, Elijah cleared his throat, bringing the attention back to him. When I looked over, he smiled and tried to further de-escalate the situation. "Thank you, again, Y/N."
That was my cue to leave. "No problem. Are you okay with meeting up tomorrow to discuss the contract?"
He nodded. "Of course. Lunch?"
"Sounds great," I said, grabbing my bag that I'd left on the armchair next to me. "I'll see you tomorrow then."
Elijah bid me farewell while Klaus remained mute, but I still felt him staring at me, even as I was walking out; only when I'd walked two minutes away from the compound did I finally let go of that feeling
I didn't speed all the way home this time like I had been doing recently after exiting the Abattoir. Instead, I decided to take this time to think since I really haven't gotten a moment alone all day.
The excuse I gave Klaus wasn't too far from the truth—I only warped it slightly. I didn't know who he knew or how well he knew my mother before he slept with her, but I knew that if I gave him the real story, there was a possibility that he'd find out who I was.
The real story was that my mother was best friends with a Bennett. Almost like history repeating itself if you thought about it; Amelia Bennett was to my family what Ayana was to the Mikaelsons. She was both a mentor to my mother and me.
In reality, we were a lot closer than I made it sound. She was a lot closer to my mother than she was with the rest of her family. We were in Salem; the witch trials were just beginning, so any witch in the area was either preparing to leave or to die. She was anticipating the latter, so before she died, she made sure to leave the assets she had to my mother.
The other Bennetts didn't dispute this, fleeing west. The rest of the story, I try not to think about. I needed to be strong, for Davina, for Marcel, for Amelia, for my mother, and for myself; otherwise, everything I've sacrificed would've been for nothing.
With that thought, I had a new resolution.
This, what I was doing here in New Orleans, could not fail. I have not lived the life I've lived just to fail. So from this moment forward, I decided to be better, to be stronger. No more quivering at the mention of my father or his baby, no more getting shaken up by conversations with the Mikaelsons.
Walking toward my apartment, I made myself a promise.
This city will not break me, no matter what.

Late in February
Davina Claire x Male Reader
Request; hey when you can would you be open to write a davina Claire x maleoc One shot thank you so much
Tumblr media
Davina got the call when she heard her boyfriend is in the hospital. She headed to the hospital where she saw Rebekah.
“What happened to Y/n!?” Davina yelled.
“Calm down before they kick you out of the hospital,” Rebekah said.
“Just tell me now,” Davina said.
“We found him passed out and badly hurt in a church. He hasn't woken up just yet. The doctor thinks it happened last night because the wounds are fresh” Rebekah said.
Davina ran into the room and she started to cry. She gently grabbed your hand and gently touched your head.
“Y/n,” Davina said.
“The doctors think he will make it,” Rebekah said.
“I was supposed to meet him last night for our date, I got mad and sent him an angry text. I thought he stood me up and was ignoring me” Davina said.
She kissed your forehead.
“Have you told him?” Rebekah asked.
“I was going to tell him last night. What really happened to him” Davina said.
“Some witch attacked him. I found curse bags at the church. I think they lured him and then attacked him, I think they are trying to send you a message” Rebekah said.
Rebekah and the others know that you are her boyfriend. You and Davina have been dating for a while and she never told you that she is a witch.
“They will pay for what they did,” Davina said.
You start to open your eyes and they are happy you woke up. You are feeling sore and you look at them strangely.
“I’m so happy that you are awake” Davina smiled.
She hugged you and she can't stop smiling.
“Y/n, how are you feeling?” Rebekah asked.
“Who are you?” You asked.
“Y/n, don't joke about this,” Davina said.
“I really don't know who you are and who is Y/n. Why did you hug me?” You said.
“I’m your girlfriend and stop joking,” Davina said.
“Lady, I said I don't know who you are,” You said.
“I don't think he is joking, Davina. Your name is Y/n and Davina is your girlfriend” Rebekah said.
“This is a joke, right?” You asked.
“What do you remember last night?” Davina asked.
You try to remember and Davina feels devastated about what is going on. You are trying hard to remember but you have nothing.
“Do you remember anything?” Davina asked.
You were going to say something but the doctor walked in.
“He doesn't remember anything,” Rebekah said.
“He must have got hit in the head hard that he doesn't remember anything,” the doctor said.
The doctor starts to check your pupils.
“Where do you live?” The doctor asked.
“New York,” You said.
“This is New Orleans, not New York. What year is today?” the doctor said.
“Ummm… 2013,” You said.
“He would get memories back, just help him remember. Like, take him somewhere familiar it could trigger something” The doctor said.
“We will do that,” Rebekah said.
“I will be right back,” the doctor said.
You look at Davina and Rebekah but you don't remember them.
“Guard the door,” Davina said.
“Why?” You asked.
“Not you,” Davina said.
Rebekah saw Davina put her hand on your head. Davina starts to say a magic spell and it starts to work, your eyes and her eyes change colors. Rebekah went by the door to make sure no one would walk into the room.
Davina is seeing how you got hurt and lured to the church. They told you that Davina was a witch and you didn't believe them. Then one of the witches used their magic to throw you against the wall and you hit your head against the brick wall and then passed out.
She stopped and she put a spell on you to make you fall asleep. Now, she is feeling angry and she wants revenge.
“Did you see who did it?” Rebekah asked.
“Take him home,” Davina said.
She walks away.
“Davina!” Rebekah yelled.
Davina didn't stop, she kept walking and she wasn't thinking straight. She wants them to suffer for hurting you and she won't let them get away. Rebekah called Elijah for help and told him what had happened.
Davina went to see Kara Nguyen and Sabine Laurent. She used her magic to break the doors and she walked inside the shop.
“Why did you hurt him!?” Davina yelled.
“It had to be done, Davina” Kara said.
“He didn't do anything to you! How do you even know him?” Davina said.
“It's what you did. Because of what you did, he had to pay. He is a nobody” Kara said.
“You will regret saying that,” Davina said.
“You didn't even tell him that you are a witch. How can you love someone when they don't that you are a witch?” Sabine said.
“Enough!” Davina yelled.
They were going to attack Davina, but she used her magic to stop them.
“This is for hurting him,” Davina said.
Before Kara and Sabine can say anything, Davina uses her magic to break their bones. They screamed in pain then Davina’a magic broke their necks and their bodies fell on the ground. She doesn't feel bad for what she did and she just stares at them then walks away.
✯ ✯ ✬ ✯
You are in your apartment but you don't remember anything. Davina is in your apartment and the mood feels awkward for you.
“What is our names again?” You asked.
“My name is Davina and your name is Y/N. You are my boyfriend of one year” Davina said.
“Okay, I will try to remember that,” You said.
“Do you remember this place? It's your apartment” Davina said.
“Not really. Everything feels out of place. I don't even remember meeting you” You said.
“You bumped into me when I came out of a cafe shop. You made me spill my drink on me and your clothes. You apologized then you asked me out” Davina said.
“What happened after that?” You asked.
“Our first date didn't go well, because you went to the wrong restaurant but at the end of the night we felt chemistry,” Davina said.
You try to remember what she said. She waits for you to say something and you are trying hard to remember.
“I don’t remember,” You said.
“How about we go to the cafe shop first then to the restaurant on our first date?” Davina asked.
“Okay, I guess,” You said.
She took you to the cafe shop. Step by step she told you what happened but you don't remember. She gently grabbed your hand and you walked inside the shop with her. By touching your hand, you start to remember something.
“I remember something,” You said.
“What do you remember?” Davina smiled.
“I’m not sure. But it's something about you…”
“Take your time,” Davina said.
“Did your hands ever glow? It sounds strange, I know. But that can't happen right?” You said.
She wanted to tell you right there but not in public.
“That can't happen, Y/n” Davina lied.
She bought the same coffee when you first met her. And she told you what to do but it didn't work.
“I don't think this is working,” You said.
“You have to try, Y/n! You have to remember” Davina said.
“I’m trying. I don't remember you at all!” You said.
You felt frustrated and left the coffee shop. She starts to go after you then she grabs your hand.
“I’m sorry. I-I just want you to remember” Davina said.
“I’m really trying then my head starts to hurt,” You said.
“I’m sorry. I will take you home then we will eat dinner together and relax” Davina said.
“Okay,” You said.
She ordered take-out food. She starts to tell you what kind of hobbies you have and all your likes and dislikes.
“I can't believe you know everything, wow,” You said.
“I have to because I'm your girlfriend” Davina smiled.
You smiled at her and you liked her smile.
——-
You are lying in bed and she is sleeping next to you. She has her arm across your chest and her head on your chest. You are trying to remember anything before meeting Davina.
She starts to wake up and she snuggles on you.
“Hey,” Davina said.
“Hey,” You said
“Have you been awake for a while?” Davina asked.
“Yeah. I didn't want to move because you were sleeping on top of me” You said.
“That was nice of you to do” Davina smiled.
You and Davina stayed in bed for a little longer. She starts to talk about your sleep habits and how you hog all the blankets.
✯ ✯ ✬ ✯
Davina is at her house doing magic. She is so focused on her magic that she doesn't hear you walking in. You watch her use magic and say a phrase then something in your mind triggers something.
“I remember what happened to me,” You said.
She turns around and she is in shock.
“Y/n…” Davina said.
“I remember those witches lured me to the church. They said you were a witch and didn't believe them. Then they attacked me and I hit my head. You lied to me, Davina” You said.
She gets close to you and you move away.
“I can explain, Y/n. I wanted to tell you that night but you got hurt and lost your memory. I was scared to tell you because I didn't want to lose you” Davina said.
“All this time you never told me. I'm starting to remember some stuff but not everything” You said.
“Y/n, it takes time. Please don't hate me” Davina said.
“I need to leave,” You said.
“Y/n, I don't want to lose you,” Davina said.
You didn't say anything, you just walked away. She starts to cry and she starts to think that you hate her. You start to walk around the French Quarter to clear your mind.
——-
You want back to your apartment. Davina is outside of your apartment and she has been crying.
“I was just waiting for you,” Davina said.
“I needed some time for myself, I mostly walked,” You said.
“Y/n, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. I just didn't know how to tell you, I was scared that you were going to hate me. I have strong feelings for you and I just don't want to lose you” Davina said.
You walk closer to her and she stares into your eyes. You don't say anything, you kiss her on the lips. She wraps her arms around you and she starts to kiss you back.
“Y/n,” Davina said.
You start to kiss her again and she touches your cheek.
“I accept that you are a witch. I thought witches were kids' stories to scare them” You said.
“I have a lot to explain. But I'm happy you forgive me, Y/n” Davina said.
She starts to kiss you again and you start to smile. You invited her inside, she asked questions about what you remember. You remember some things about her and your life but everything else is a blur. Then she starts to explain how she has been living for a long time, it took you a while to believe that.
She is still happy that you didn't break up with her. She starts to kiss you again and you start to smile at her. Then she starts to show you what abilities she can do. She used telekinesis and you are impressed, then she starts to smile because you started to ask so many questions.

Hey could I request a klaus x reader the reader is a witch Davina sister and he falls in love with her ?
Claire He Could Stand
Tumblr media
If somebody could write this as a full fic I would gladly read it. I feel like this idea is so interesting 🤔
Witches were an annoying little thing to the original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson. Recently since he had moved back to New Orleans he found one girl in particular bloody frustrating Davina Claire...one exception was her sister Y/n. Standing in front of one of the paintings of me that Klaus had done I smiled only wearing his shirt that looked like a dress on me. "I was expecting to wake up to you beside me, little witch." I smiled feeling his arms wrap around me from behind with his chin resting on my shoulder. He leans forward planting a kiss to my neck right before I turned around facing him. "I'm sorry, Nik. I just had to admire someone's handy work." He smirked watching me eyeing his bare chest listening to my heart beat increasing when I blushed. "I certainly wouldn't mind recreating the fun we had last night, love."
He leans forward drawing me in for a deep kiss making me moan wrapping my arms around his neck. He wrapped my legs around his waist vamping me back into his room where I hit the soft mattress right before my phone started ringing on the nightstand. "Ignore it sweetheart." Klaus mumbled kissing my neck when I try to reach for it. Moving one of my hands into his dirty blonde hair I twisted it hearing him moan then kissing me hungerly. I smirked waving my freehand using my magic to flip it so I am ontop shocking the hybrid underneath me. "If you were anyone else Y/n my little witch you would have a dagger in your heart by now for that..." He growled flashing his golden hybrid eyes up at me.
"It's a good thing I'm the only witch you can stand to be around this long with." I teased leaning down about to kiss him again until the door gets burst open. I screamed falling over underneath the covers with Klaus ready to stab whoever it was interrupting us. "Y/n, I know you're here. Why haven't you been answering my calls. I did a locater spell and - oh god!" My sister screamed covering her eyes with her hand immediately. Klaus flopped back draping an arm over my shoulder with my head laying against his chest. "Hi sis..." I waved feeling embarrassed this is how she found out. She stomped up raising her hand causing my boyfriend to grab his head in pain. "Davina please. He's not hurting me." I begged her knowing she would attempt to kill him if given the chance but she dropped her hand sighing in a warning. "If you ever hurt my sister I will make you suffer!" She left the room before I climbed back into the bed with Klaus who shook his head in annoyance until I drew him in for another kiss. "You really are the only witch I can stand, Y/n Claire."
Comments really appreciated 😊

DAVINA'S POV
I always admired the aesthetic of y/n's house, it was so simple yet so much detail was put into it. me and y/n were sitting in their bedroom, laughing our asses off not caring about a single thing around us, forgetting about all the supernatural stuff happening, just us in their room, in love.
after days of suffering from my past heartbreak, life finally seemed to get better by day with them by my side. do i still think about it? yes. do I miss him? no, not at all. it feels like time just stops when i'm around them
i could never imagine myself with anyone else, i will make sure this is forever.
i got snapped out of my head by y/n waving a hand in front of my face "hello you still there, dove?"
that smile, damn they're gorgeous. it took me a minute to realise that i was staring "sorry what were you saying?" i apologised "it's fine, i was talking about school anyways" after talking for a bit i decided it was time to go home so i gathered my things and they walked me to the front door.
we said our goodbyes as i pulled them into a deep kiss, i could feel their lips curving into a smile while we were kissing making me smile too "ok love I have to go now" i pecked her lips once more "i love you" "I love you more" before walking to my car
YOUR POV
Tumblr media
i plugged my earphones in and started preparing dinner, searching through the cabinets for ingredients. i decided to make some creamy tuscan chicken, as i was chopping the spinach i heard a faint voice behind me being covered by the music playing
"well well, look who we have here" i quickly turned around and saw a man standing there, eyeing me like a lion ready to stack its prey "who are you and how did you get in my house?" grabbed a knife i pointed it towards him.
"weird how you don't know who i am, I'm kol, kol mikaelson" he smirked 'holy shit' i thought, of course, i know him. its like he has 'danger' written all over his face
"what do you want from me" i put on my fake confidence as circled me. i watched his every move, his hand travelling down to grab the weapon in my hands "don't even think about it, mikaelson" i turned around to face him but he was too fast
he slapped the knife out of my hands, pushing me across the room, landing with my back again the wall.
my breath got heavier as my hands started shaking in fear, i wasn't a vampire or a witch to protect myself against him "I've been watching you for a few weeks now, i know the way you act and your beauty stole davina's love from me, too bad i have to get it back "
he sighed faking a pout, my eyes finding his after he grabbed my chin forcing me to look up he placed his hand on my cheek as my heart started beating faster "i can hear your heartbeat, you're scared" he spoke softly in my ear sending shivers down my spine
"leave me alone, please" i begged as tears rolled down my cheek, he chuckled pressing his hand on my chest "i'm afraid i can't do that, I've been seeing how happy davina is with you, but she'll be happier with me. do you know how many times she went home and jumped around or squealed into her pillow after hanging out with you, huh? she used to do that with me too, i can't stand seeing her so happy without me"
i can feel his hand grip my heart, my lips parting to let out a scream but nothing came out, one last glance into his eyes and everything went black.
DAVINA'S POV
Tumblr media
it's been a week since i found y/n dead, i couldn't stop crying, i knew it was kol because everyone loved them. one night he came to my house and i tried to kill him with my own hands so i can revenge
"you can be with me again, angel" he groaned as i looked into his eyes with tears still rolling down on my cheeks "you wish" i threw a punch in the face, the action making him fall
"you bitch" i got on top of him and hit him more, letting all my anger out
i got a white oak stake and stabbed kol right in the heart "i fucking hate you!" i confessed before his entire face went grey letting the tears fall on him.
after calming down i went into a forest and dug his grave, then put him inside and covered him with dirt "go to hell"

Imagine Hope introducing you to her family for the first time
warnings : swearing
“Come on y/n there’s nothing to be stressed about.” Hope chuckled lightly, looking at you with bright blue eyes full of complete adoration.
“You’re right, if they kill me they’re just completing a task on my bucket list.” You spoke plainly.
“I just love your positivity.” Hope teased as you wrapped an arm around her shoulder and ruffled up her hair in response.
You and Hope had become best friends almost as soon as you met, you were a transfer student from (where you’re from) and with all the other dorms full with students, you became her roommate.. of sorts. Surprisingly, the two of you immediately bonded and left everyone shocked at how quickly such a strong bond was formed.
However, unknown to you —Hope didn’t just feel those platonic feelings for you. No, she felt addd romantic feelings for you. Feelings she knew very well she shouldn’t be feeling for her best friend. A best friend who could be straight for all she knew, though she severely doubted it.
And now, after countless messages and letters back and forth with her family. She was taking you over to New Orleans to meet them. Hope couple practically feel the excitement that her mom and aunts were radiating even through messages.
“We’re here.” Hope announced as she pulled up in front of the compound, a smile gracing her features as an immediate reaction to her arrival back home.
“Look at you all rich and shit.” You gasped dramatically, “Can not relate.”
“Oh hush.” Hope smacked your hand away from pinching her cheeks that she could feel growing warmer and warmer by the second.
Quickly to avoid any further discussion about how flustered she probably looked, she grabbed ahold of your forearm and dragged you inside the compound hastily.
“Im home.” She announced in a sing song tone and instantly she was swept off her feet.
“Uncle Kol.” Hope shrieked in laughter as her uncle spun her around in the air, even throwing her up before catching her in his arms effortlessly and hugging her tightly.
“Hey munchkin.” Kol murmured with a grin as he ran his hands through his nieces’ hair.
“Okay brother let me greet me daughter.” Klaus rolled his eyes exhaustedly at his brother who huffed before twirling Hope around and into his arms.
“Hi dad.” Hope beamed excitedly at her father as he pulled her into a bone crushing hug, it was no secret that their relationship was unmatched.
Meanwhile, Rebekah and Hayley shared a freakishly alike evil smirk before they rushed over to greet you.
“Hi y/n, we’ve heard so much about you.” Rebekah addressed you first, almost jumping in her place at meeting her nieces’ first true crush and potential love.
“And I’ve heard equally as much about you.” You grinned back brightly, “And oh my god those boots are everything, I need your shopping advice. ASAP.”
Rebekah grinned so wide that it almost made her face hurt, unable to hold off her undeniable excitement any longer.
“I would be honoured.”
“Hi Miss Mikaelson.” You smiled gently at Hayley who returned the sentiment with rosy cheeks, not yet used to the title even though the large rock on her ring finger was more than enough evidence of it.
“Please call me Hayley, miss Mikaelson makes me feel old.” Hayley pleaded with amusement on her face and you nodded with a soft laugh.
“It’s cause you are, mom.” Hope teased as she made her way over, settling herself in her mother’s embrace happily.
“Hey!” Hayley gasped theatrically, slapping her daughters arm slightly and playfully.
“You must be the famous y/n.” Kol smirked wickedly, walking back over towards you with Davina now tucked into his side.
“That’d be me.” You nodded, “And you must be the famous fun troublemaker uncle who is totally not Hope’s favourite.”
Kol matched your wide and mischievous grin immediately, already liking you.
“She’s a keeper, Hopey.”
Hope’s cheeks went a vibrant red colour and her family chuckled at her expense, though you didn’t seem at all perturbed by Kol’s statement.
“Which makes you the art loving hybrid dad.” You smiled at Klaus who nodded proudly, “I’ve heard so much about you and honestly you’re like my idol but don’t tell my parents cause they’ll disown me.”
Klaus could only blink in surprise though he, too, chuckled in amusement—shockingly finding himself already coming to like you.
“You must be Davina.” You now directed your smile at the short brunette who smiled back. “I’ve seen pictures of you but you are even prettier in real life.”
“Hey!” Kol snipped playfully as his wife’s cheeks turned red, “Don’t go hitting on my wife.”
“Do you blame me?” You chuckled with a small smirk, finding yourself easily fitting into the families dynamic which was a massive relief.
“Of course not.”
“That would make you Freya?” You nodded to the tall blonde with a soft grin, “To be completely honest I don’t think you get enough credit for your work and I admire you, a lot.”
“Thank you.” Freya spoke bashfully but with a genuine smile on her beautiful features.
“‘Course.” You waved off casually. “That leaves Marcel and Elijah.”
“Hi.” Marcel waved simply, having been watching the interactions in silence with a smile before, an arm settled around Rebekah’s waist as he stood next to her. He could see how happy you made Hope and if she was happy, so was he.
“It is a pleasure to finally meet you.” Elijah said ever so formally with a rare smile on his face, watching his niece’s eyes brighten up impossibly every time you spoke. It was adorable really, how much she cared for you.
“And you.” You retorted with a smile on your face.
It’s safe to say, you have their blessing.

Warnings: Angst & Abuse. In particular, religious/cult abuse. Death, dying, and trauma after a near-death experience.
Author's Notes: This one should be called "exposition upfront, party in the next chapter" lol. I got really into Davina Claire's character and where she's at emotionally/mentally during Season 1, Episode 16-17 of the Originals. This chapter was supposed to be longer but I have to finish this scene later on in the month after a trip I'm taking.
Please feed me comments, hearts, and reblogs if you liked this 🌹You can find me on A03 as accidentalslayer.
Pairing: Yandere!Elijah & Klaus Mikaelson x Fem!Reader (eventually)
Summary: Davina Claire struggles to acclimate herself to the land of the living after her sudden resurrection. She feels betrayed, broken, and beyond repair. The young witch is refusing to do any spells for herself or others. After all, helping people (and vampires) with magic is what got her into this mess in the first place. Davina isn't going to be let off the hook that easily, though...
Because something big *really* wants her attention.

Chapter Two: Jonah's Whale (Part One)
"Davina..."
As a "French Quarter" witch, Davina Claire knew the voices of the Ancestors. While being trained for the Harvest Ritual, she'd been taught to listen to them speak. Their words had been a welcome presence in her life at first. They'd tell her things any teenaged occultist aspired to hear: that she would be a powerful sorceress one day, that she retained a great destiny within their Coven, that her sacrifice was the pride of her earthly mother, and the absent father she'd never met...
That giving herself freely unto the ritual was the right thing to do by her community.
She'd been naive. So very naive!
"Davina..."
Those saccharine voices had led her like a spring lamb to slaughter. It wasn't until Elder Bastianna, wielding an athame, began slitting the throats of her friends that Davina realized the terrible truth. Her Ancestors had lied. Her Coven had lied. Her own mother, who'd raised her the best she could, had lied. They'd all lied! And for what?! To uphold tradition? To preserve their power? To appease a bunch of deceased practitioners who'd forgotten how precious and sacred life was?! Davina made a solemn vow during her time sequestered away from the Coven in St. Anne's attic. She vowed to listen to herself. To trust ONLY herself. No witch or vampire or werewolf or human, not even God in Heaven, would sway her choices ever again.
On the night that Sophie Deveraux finished the Harvest Ritual, the woman had asked Davina if she "believed" in it's magic. She'd replied with a shaky "I believe" just before Sophie lifted up the dagger and sacrificed her. What Davina wished she could have said in that awful moment was that she believed in herself. Finally! And that she wished she would've done so sooner.
"Davina Claire..."
Belief in herself. That's what Davina took with her when she'd entered Limbo. It was that very belief that The Ancestors punished her for. The instant Davina's spirit crossed over, they'd banished her to a cold, dark, endless abyss. One without light or warmth. Methodically, those ancestral voices that had once encouraged Davina, now tore her up to shreds. Savagely. Mercilessly. Until Davina didn't know if she could trust in anything (much less herself) anymore. By the end of their lesson, the Ancestors had her curled into a fetal position and mumbling 'I'm sorry' on loop. Her apologies, however, were meaningless to them. The voices of the Ancestors did not forgive nor forget. Their sole response was to threaten Davina with more pain and anguish and sorrow:
'You have betrayed your kin for monsters and the undead! And if you use your magic in a way that dishonors us again, Davina Claire, we will ensure your place in Hell. That is our vow to you!'
It was the last, awful thing she'd heard in that void before her resurrection. Suddenly, Davina found herself back in her bed, in the attic, hidden inside the sanctuary of St. Anne's church. She might've forgotten the whole thing if she hadn't woken up still covered in her death shroud. No amount of incense, candles, or soaps were going to erase the memories and horror of what she'd been through since turning sixteen. There wasn't going to be a "getting back" to "herself" because Davina had changed. Irrevocably.
Being undead, Marcel would never understand what change meant. He was eternally frozen in time since before she'd been born. It was a foreign concept to him.
"Davina Claire!"
He tried to, though. Everyone tried to. Everyone had their two cents to contribute. Marcel said it was something that he knew Davina could "push past" and "conquer." Cami said she needed to go see a trauma-informed therapist. Father Kieran muttered something under his breath, then said God was with all of his children. Hayley said it was 'just another Tuesday in New Orleans'. And Josh (whom Davina immediately called once she'd gotten back her phone) said a quote from Lord of the Rings before he started crying and "thanking fuck" that she was alive. All of these voices. These people's opinions. Nothing they told her made Davina feel better despite how hard they attempted the opposite. She was done with listening to them. Done with helpful voices. Done with her friends. Done with the Ancestors...
Done with doing magic.
Just done.
Unfortunately, magic wasn't done with her. She was still a Harvest Girl and bound to the French Quarter Coven. As soon as the witches heard of her resurrection, they demanded Davina's return. Celebrated it even! Like they hadn't spent half a year trying to end her life (or worse). Because The Originals were in the mood to broker peace and Marcel had lost all of his pieces on the New Orleans chessboard, Davina found herself being driven to The Cauldron; placed back into the foul hands of her abusers, to live within a compound for mages in training where she was monitored day and night.
Another cage that was similar to St. Anne's attic. Yet somehow...far worse.
"I call upon you, Davina Claire..."
They couldn't make her do spells, though. Davina refused. She shunned every teacher and skipped every class the compound forced her to go to. It was the last form of rebellion left available in this terrible situation. As Cami had pointed out to her during their pep-talk, nobody could control what Davina did, how she chose to react, or what she believed in. Much to the French Quarter Coven's frustration and her delight. Besides, it was a sin against witch code to strip an Initiate of free will. And since Davina was learning how to use magic still, that meant she fell right under the category of "Initiate".
"I call upon you, Davina Claire."
Her favorite place to play hooky was in the green house. There, amongst the plants, Davina found a quiet refuge. She spent her time reading books and doodling inside a journal Cami had given her. Writing poems that expressed the thoughts she had to conceal from the Coven lest more trouble find her. It was here, one day, that Davina began feeling something strange. An odd sort of deja vu. This weird energy would fill the conservatory, pushing against the air, as if it were a particularly massive giant entering through a teeny tiny door. It would sometimes rattle the window panes and folding tables. Break a glass jar. Destroy a beaker that was precariously shelved.
Then, unexpectedly, the deja vu began to speak. And Davina found herself more afraid than she'd ever been of the Ancestors for it's voice was like raging thunder:
"I call upon you, Davina Claire! Scorned Prophet. You who will carry a heavy burden I do not envy. Be not afraid, oh fire maiden!! Though the hour of His darkness is almost at hand, there is hope-"
"Shut up! I don't trust you," she'd often murmur under her breath, in a poisonous hiss, trembling, and trying not to draw attention lest any unseen eyes were on her, "Go away! I-I won't listen to it. I'm done with whatever trick this is. Y-you're too late and I'm so over being someone's tool!"
Despite her protest, the invisible giant continued its entreaties to Davina. Oftentimes, it'd become so intrusive that she started avoiding her trips to the greenhouse altogether. Unfortunately, doing this didn't stop it. The alien energy just followed her out onto other parts of the compound where it could pursue her further. Nobody sensed this presence. Life in the compound proceeded at a normal tempo unbroken by her new attachment or it's dire messages:
"-Seek the girl who is coming! She who is bound by shackles on her wrists! New Orleans hangs in the balance, oh maiden. Be not afraid! The final dawn will set the city free-"
Davina Claire was going crazy. She was sure of it. Maybe this unnerving poltergeist had been sent by the Ancestors to torture her again for another one of her failures? There were so many failures, though. Countless many reasons for her kin to curse her. Davina curled up into escapism. She clutched onto books and art and the many journals she kept that offered her temporary relief. And she cried when she thought nobody was around until there were no more tears for her to shed.
On the night before the full moon, Davina prayed to whatever God might have mercy on her for it to stop...
Her prayer was answered with a strange dream.

Klaus and I were now standing beside each other with the Harvest witch standing in front of us. Tim was sitting behind the three of us counting as he was compelled to do. Looping my fingers in the belt loop of my jeans I just watched my boyfriend stalk the witch. “I assume you know who I am. Then, let's get right to it, shall we? Your current dilemma strikes me as a case of poor alliances. You're loyal to Marcel and yet he keeps you tucked away in an attic. Surely you prefer just a little bit more freedom. And yet Marcel keeps you prisoner.”
Davina responded back sternly. “Marcel doesn't keep me prisoner, he keeps me safe. He's my friend.”
“Yeah but it seems odd that your friend isn’t helping you escape from the witches. Wouldn’t he care about your safety and get you out of the city. Not keep you locked away in a church.” I pointed out to her crossing my arms over my chest worrying about how far she really trusted her so-called vampire friend.
The Harvest witch stepped towards me slowly but still kept her distance from Nik. “I trust Marcel. But you seem nice. I just want to wait until the witches lose their powers.”
“Well, I've no doubt he is. For a girl caught in a war between witches and vampires, I might be a better friend. I would keep you safe. And I'd allow you your freedom. If Marcel could do that, why hasn't he done so already? And it does beg the question: If Marcel can't protect you, then what of those you care about?” He gestures to Tim, who is sitting in the last pew.
Davina threatened him. “If anyone tries to hurt anyone I care about, I'll kill them.”
“Well, then. Sounds like you don't need Marcel at all. Perhaps you've suspected it all along. Your dear friend Marcel tricks you into doing his bidding. And all the while you rot in an attic, alone, while young Timothy moves on with his life.” Nik shrugged his shoulders walking up to her where they were almost pressed chest to chest with one another.
Davina stares intently at Klaus, angry. “You feel that? That's your blood starting to boil.” Klaus groans as we hear the hiss of his blood boiling with sweat starting to drip from his forehead.
He composes himself and vamp-runs to Tim and puts him in a headlock. “Such a shame to lose him, just as you found him again. And I really did admire your skill with that violin.”
“Nik!” I gasped getting in a fighting stance not expecting him to kill the boy. But he would if she didn’t agree to his terms. He was always certain on his threats that much was for sure. “If you hurt the boy I’ll hurt you. He’s human and not everyone can be handled through violence!”
He shifted his blue eyes on me still holding the boy in a headlock. “Raelyn, sweetheart stay out of this. She is putting a rather halt on my plans at the moment. So I need to get her on my side.”
Davina raised her voice. “Don't you dare hurt him!”
“Oh, I hope I won't have to, sweetheart. But, then, that depends on you.” He tightened his hold on the human boy with the veins appearing underneath his eyes.
“Let him go now, Nik!” I raised my voice raising my hand to stop him but the girl got to him first.
“You should know, I don't do well with demands.” Klaus threatens her before she thrusts her open hand out and twists it, using her magic to break the bones in his leg.
Unfortunately, it takes only a moment for Klaus to reset his bones and heal. “Impressive. But you don't want to fight me, love. Innocent people have a way of ending up dead.”
Tim whispers to my boyfriend. “Please, let me go.”
“Nik, that’s enough!” I vamped forward until my head started hurting where I grabbed it groaning in pain dropping to my knees for an unknown reason. Since I didn’t know who or what was causing this. The pain shifted down to my stomach where I gasped feeling my water break between my legs. “No, no, it’s too soon. Urgh Nik.. Something’s wrong!”
“Your choice, little witch. Swear allegiance to me alone and the boy lives. Stand against me–“ He cut himself short focusing on the witch girl when the candles behind Davina flare as Davina gets angrier. After a moment, she thrusts both hands in front of her and shrieks. Her magic causes paper and books to be blown around by wind, and all the windows in the church shatter. The glass shards fly backwards, and Klaus and Tim are forcibly blown backwards toward the entrance.
Davina shortly woke up afterwards where she rushed over to me seeing that I was on the ground moaning in agony. She grabbed a hold of my shoulders. “Raelyn, what’s wrong. I’m sorry if I did anything.”
“It’s not you, Davina. Ohh…My water broke I think. Ahh…” I bared my teeth down before something snapped my neck and my boys disappeared before the young witches eyes.
Blinking my eyes a few times I sat up seeing that I was in a very dark area. There were a few bodies that looked to be vampires because their entire bodies were covered in veins meaning that they were desiccating. “What the hell is this place?”
“This is my prison world. Now might I ask who exactly you are?” Whipping my head around, throwing my hair around in front of my eyes. I came face to face with a woman who had raven black hair and dark eyes. She was wearing a white corset dress that looked to be something women wore long before my time.
Knitting my brows at the woman my hands gripped my stomach seeing that the babies were still inside me but that doesn’t explain why exactly I am here. “I’m Raelyn Lane. I thought there was only one prison world. At least that I was aware of.”
“My name is Lillian Salvatore. I am a vampire like you but it seems that you aren’t just that. Congratulations on being pregnant. May I ask how?” She introduced herself, sticking her hand out to me where my eyes watched the dead vampires laying behind her.
Stepping away from her I didn’t trust this woman. “Salvatore as in Damon and Stefan Salvatore. Sorry I don’t know who the hell you think you are but I am not telling you anything.” I raised my hand to snap her neck with magic.
“Ah, I understand now. You are like my friends here. The Gemini coven is brutal to the ones that don’t fit into their standards. You are a heretic, Raelyn. Half witch and vampire.” She declares to me looking at her supposed friends. “I do wish to know more about you. But you should know that you are not alone anymore.”
Shifting my gaze away from hers I counted six total vampire’s in this place with her. I wanted to feel relieved that I wasn’t by myself but it wasn’t right that I was somehow in a prison world shortly yet again. I shouldn’t be here unless I was sent to her by someone else, yet I knew my uncle Joshua would never banish the new leader. “As much as I would love to continue this weird conversation I need to find my way out of here. Because I was going into labor before I came here and-“ I gasped holding my stomach before everything went black again and I collapsed onto the floor.
Shooting my eyes open I was met with a girl that had orange hair who had two other witches holding me down. I attempted to move from laying down on a cold table but I winced sharply feeling vervain ropes tied to my wrists and ankles. “Who the hell are you. - argh what are you doing to me?”
“We can’t wait to find Davina Claire. We need more power and the only way to get that is to sacrifice your children as an offering.” The woman with orange hair declared.
“To be reborn we must sacrifice.” One with curly black hair muttered back to me.
Jerking my head upright I frantically glanced around seeing that we were in the middle of a witch cemetery. I could feel my magic running through my veins when I tried to do the unlocking spell but the second that I did I only felt pain in my stomach. “Ahhh! I will kill all of you for hurting my babies!"
"No you won't. Neither will Klaus or Elijah." The third witch said back getting everything set up to where I would give birth soon whether or not I liked it.
My chest begins heaving up and down where I was panicking. Shutting my eyes I focused on one spell that worked for me and Klaus once before. "Dic mihi, hva du vet…..Dic mihi, hva du vet - Ah Nik…help me!”
Comments really appreciated ❤️

Red Hot Winter- Chapter 19
Tumblr media
Chapter 19- "Roll like Thunder"
"Who's Kaleb?" Asked Elena. She and Elijah had taken Davina to have lunch before the young witch continued her studies with Bonnie that day. "Bonnie tells me he's been crashing your lessons from time to time."
"I met him when I was grabbing some herbs in the city's garden. He approached me, told me he was a witch, and said only a witch would know which herbs to collect." Davina replied.
"There's more to it, isn't there?" Asked Elena.
"It seems like he knows a lot more than Bonnie sometimes as if he…" She didn't have a chance to finish. Kaleb approaches their table, taking a seat next to Davina.
"Davina, so good to see you! That must be Elena." He said. "Davina told me a lot about you like you were the older sister she never had." Elena smiled at the compliment. "And you are…?"
"Elijah Mikaeleson." Replied Elijah, extending his hand. The moment Kaleb touched his hand Elijah knew. Kaleb was his brother, Kol Mikaelson. "Elena, why don't you take Davina home? Me and Kaleb need to have a little chat." He said, letting go of Kaleb's hand and looking at Elena. The vampire nodded. Kissing him briefly, she took Davina by the hand back home, though the witch didn't know why.
"I suppose Mother put you up to this, brother." Said Elijah.
"Well, Mother did tell me to follow Davina around, she never said anything about flirting with her." Said Kol, smirking.
"Elena is going to kill you again the moment she finds out about you, and I might be joining her this time."
"Oh, but Mother will put me in another body! Honestly how many times can a Petrova doppelganger kill me anyway?"
"You get any closer to her, and I'll rip your heart out!"
"Brother, I don't intend on doing anything against Elena, or Caroline for that matter."
"Then what are you doing here?"
"According to our Mother, our Father might be coming back into our lives soon. The witches have been talking to her, and his soul's already got a footing here. It's only a matter of time before he takes back his body, but you and I both know Niklaus fears him the most, especially now since he's got a part of himself all the way across the pond."
"What does Mother want?"
"I don't care what Mother wants. I want to talk to Niklaus."
"You want to switch alliances?"
"I figured our brother could use all the help that he can get."
"I cannot promise you that you'll leave the compound alive."
"Well, I'll take those chances over siding with Mother and Finn any day."
"Why are you doing this?" When Kol didn't answer, Elijah knew. "It's Davina, you're in love with her. You know she'll protect Elena, that's why you're switching sides."
"The details don't matter. Take me to Niklaus."
Elijah stood up from the table and walked his brother back to the compound. Entering his house, they both went to Klaus's study, finding the hybrid very nervous, looking at the box he got the previous night.
"Elijah, didn't I tell you I had important plans for today, and none of them includes Davina's study buddy?" Said Klaus.
"It's very nice to see you too, brother!" Said Kol.
"Brother? What do you mean?" Asked Klaus.
"Niklaus, it appears that Finn was not the only one Mother brought back from the dead. She brought Kol back as well." Replied Elijah. The blonde puts the box inside his back pocket and walks up to his brother.
"I can hear his heartbeat, and he is not on vervain." Says Klaus, after smelling him. Deciding to compel him, Klaus continues. "Tell me your real name."
"Kol Mikaelson." Replies Kol.
"Oh bloody hell!" Exclaims Klaus, throwing his hands up in the air. "Maybe I should call Elena and tell her to finish the job she and her brother started in Mystic Falls."
"Brother, I assure you I am not here to cause any trouble." Says Kol. "I swear on my life."
Klaus looks at Elijah, still distrusting of Kol.
"It's true, brother." Confirms Elijah. "Tell him what you told me Kol."
"Mother says that our Father is coming back. He's already got a footing in our world and it's only a matter of time before he comes back here."
"Kol…" Warns Elijah.
"And she knows where you're keeping your daughter."
"Elijah, this was supposed to be a good day." Says Klaus, visibly angry. "I have a very important thing to do later, and none of this news is particularly pleasant."
"Kol wants to join us." Says Elijah. "He wants to switch sides. He is a witch now brother, and I know we've got two of the greatest witches known with us, but with Father coming back and Mother knowing what she knows, we need all the help we can get."
"Do you trust him? I'm sure your lovely Elena doesn't, since he did try to kill her brother."
"Are you two really talking about me as if I'm not here?" Asked Kol. "I know a lot of witchcraft, Niklaus. I can help you."
"Why do you want to join us?" Asked Klaus. Elijah smiled.
"Go ahead Kol, you tell him." Said Elijah.
"Mother told me to keep an eye on Davina because she was on your side, but I never expected to fall in love with her. I can't keep helping Mother and Finn and ending up hurting her, or someone she cares about. She'd never forgive me." Replied Kol.
"What do you think she'll say when she finds out you're not Kaleb?" Asked Klaus.
"She might say she never wants to see me again, but I know her better. She loves me just as much." Answered Kol.
"You're free to join us, Kol." Said Klaus. "As long as you tell her the truth. And if she doesn't want you after that… I believe Elena will take care of that." He said smiling.
Kol smiled and left the study to find Davina.
"What important thing do you have to do today, Niklaus?" Asked Elijah, as soon as Kol was out of the room.
"It doesn't concern you brother." Replied Klaus. "Now leave, please. I need to continue my preparations."
Elijah smiled as if he already knew and left his brother alone, going to find Elena.
Later that night Klaus took Caroline out. He had specifically asked her to put on a dress he got her recently: a white lace dress and the way it shimmered in the light made him fall in love with her even more. It was absolutely stunning; the skirt was light and airy with small details that brought it to life. The waistline was decorated with delicate blossom-like embroidery and lace. The sleeves were long and elegant, and the neckline was just as intricate. The dress was the perfect balance between simplicity and beauty - it was absolutely made for Caroline.
They went to a garden in the city, that somehow Klaus had made empty at that time, and he had also ordered food for them from the restaurant he had taken her to when she first arrived in the city and he had convinced her to stay.
"You look magnificent tonight my love." He said when they sat next to each other in the blanket after they had eaten.
"You don't look so bad yourself, you know." She said, smiling. "Thank you for the dress, Klaus. I loved it."
"I knew it was made for you when I saw it, you deserved it." He said, kissing her neck. "Caroline I'm sorry."
"Sorry about what?" She asked, suddenly worried.
"I promised you I'd take you to see the world once you came to me, and I haven't done that. I didn't keep my promise. Instead, I put you in the middle of a war."
"Klaus, do I seriously need to remind you we are both vampires? Well I mean you're half vampire." They both laughed. "And we have eternity to see the world. I knew you had enemies, Klaus. But that never stopped me from wanting you."
"I love you so much, Caroline." He said.
Klaus's eyes sparkled in the moonlight as he pulled Caroline closer, pressing her body against him. He ran his hands softly through her hair as he looked deep into her eyes, his heart pounding in anticipation. He finally laid his lips against her own, feeling a wave of relief as he kissed her passionately. His embrace was tender yet firm as if to show his love and admiration for the woman before him.
Caroline responded eagerly, her lips meeting his with the same urgency and passion. Their kiss was passionate yet gentle, each move highlighting their connection and understanding for one another. Klaus and Caroline stayed in each other's embrace for what seemed like an eternity, neither one of them wanting to let go of the moment.
Reluctantly, Klaus separated himself from her, hearing her whining.
"Trust me, love, there is nothing I want to do more than to kiss you but I need to do something first." He said, standing up and bringing her with him.
Taking her by hand, he led her to the garden's fountain, which was also empty of tourists, but she wasn't complaining though she knew he probably compelled the security guards to not let anyone in at this time.
He turned to her, and all she could see in his eyes was love, pure love. It was the same look he had when he talked to Hope through the phone, or when he declared his love for her over the time they were together.
"Love, I never expected to fall in love, much less when I was looking to break the course my mother had put on me. When I saw you in the run-down small-town bar, I knew you were my queen. I also knew I needed to let you come to me by yourself. I might've been the villain in a lot of people's stories my love, but I wasn't going to be the one in yours. I've shown kindness to someone who never deserved it because of you, Caroline. You make me want to do better, to be a better person, a better father to my daughter. I loved you in silence for such a long time love, and I've waited for you, however long it took. It was never about taking you, it was about loving you, giving you the love you deserve." He got down on one knee, revealing a ring. The band of the ring is a precious mix of silver and gold, creating a rich and unique tone. In the center of the band is a deep and dazzling amber stone that seemed to have a soul of its own, meant to symbolize the love between the two of them. The amber stones' warm, honey-colored tones were mesmerizing and completely captivated Caroline. Inside the ring it was written "ᛗᛁ ᛚᛟᚢᛖ. ᚲᛚᚨᚢᛊ" which meant "My love. Klaus"
"Caroline Forbes, would you give me the extraordinary honor to marry me?" He asked, looking deep into her eyes, which were filled with tears.
"Yes!" She exclaimed, smiling. "Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes!" Klaus smiled, and he slipped the ring on her hand. It looked perfect.
He got up and held her, taking a spin with her in his arms, hearing her laugh. He always wanted to hear this sound.
"I love you so much, Caroline." He said, holding her face.
"I love you too, Niklaus Mikaelson." She said. "Always and Forever."
His heart was about to burst out of his chest with the happiness he felt at the moment the words left her mouth.
Without a word, Klaus pulled Caroline close and sealed their vows with a passionate kiss. He wrapped his arms around her, kissing her passionately. She felt so overwhelmed with emotion as this moment felt so surreal. They had gone through so much, and standing there amid all their love, she couldn't help but feel more than grateful. It was an intense, magical moment that left them both in tears, but these were tears of joy and excitement that symbolized a new beginning for them both. Now, they were ready to start a new life together and leave the past behind. As they stepped away from their kiss, Caroline looked up into Klaus' eyes with joy and love that he had never seen before. They were ready to embark on a new adventure, and the future looked brighter than ever, even though a thunderstorm was closing in.
They got back to the compound a few hours later, where Klaus listened attentively to Caroline's plans for their wedding, telling him she wanted to get married in Mystic Falls to which he agreed. He would do anything for her.
They agreed to break the news to everyone the next day, since everyone seemed to be asleep already, and Caroline wanted to tell her friends at the same time.
As they were getting ready to go to bed, Klaus realized something was bothering her.
"What is it, my love?" He asked, bringing her closer to him.
"There is something you should know Klaus." She said.
"You can tell me, my love, we're gonna be married." He said, smiling, managing to make her smile too, but it quickly faded.
"When Stefan got back to Mystic Falls, Damon came back too and I was jealous of Elena being with Stefan so I decided to try my luck with Damon." Klaus didn't interrupt her, he knew there was more. "Damon, he… He would drink from me and he would… he sexually assaulted me Klaus, and he compelled me to forget. It wasn't until I was turned that I remembered."
Klaus held her close to him, with his arms on her waist. She held him back and clutched to him with all her strength and might.
"I'm so sorry you went through that, my love." He said. "I could never do that to you, and I never did that to anyone before. I could never take what wasn't mine. I'm so sick that people like this exist. I promise you, Caroline, that I'll never let you go through something like that. Never, I would rather die."
He lay down and let her cry for the version of her that was attacked years prior, and kissed her tears away. At the same time, he knew what he had to do as soon as he arrived back in Mystic Falls.
Find Damon Salvatore, and make him pay for what he had done to Klaus Mikaelson's Queen.

Wondering - Klaus Mikaelson
Tags / TW: Mentions Of Pregnancy
“Enough of this.”
The words of desperation come out as a simple - throat roaring - growl, but that didn’t mean he was going back on them or his steps toward your bedroom door. It had been hours since you’d closed it and made the unsaid barrier between you and the Mikaelson family.
But that wasn’t what began to crack the facade he works so hard to keep that he doesn’t even realize the work anymore. It was the sound of your first tears, every pained sound echoing in the Originals ears. It was one of the few downsides to Klaus’ existence. He was becoming all to aware of that now.
Kol wasn’t one to get involved in family drama when it didn’t concern him, especially with Klaus, but he’d began to like you.
When you make breakfast every morning you’d always offer him something then stutter “sorry, I forgot vampires don’t eat” before you share a laugh when he steals a bite of what you made for yourself and takes it entirely. That’s when he began to know you were different from Klaus’ casual hookups. And not just because you’ve stayed long enough for him to bother learning your name.
He flashes in front of Klaus, sighing as he looks him over. Klaus’ eyes flare with silent warnings, all soon disregarded by the brother they’re sent to. “You can’t go in there… at least not like that.”
Klaus adjusts on his feet, smiling the wicked smile everyone who does and doesn’t know him remembers him by. His hands link behind his back. “And I suppose this is the part you tell me why before I decide which way to painfully remove you from my sight?”
Besides Kol looking to your door, he seems unfased. Until they both hear it clearly. Hear you.
Your breathing had returned to normal, finally. You weren’t sniffling anymore. Your heart rate was calm, peaceful. Klaus takes the first real breath in hours.
The men lock eyes for a moment, sharing a gaze that some could say could only be perfected with centuries of brotherhood. Kol pats Klaus’ shoulder and smiles the first smile he’d let him see since coming back into town that month. He goes back down the hall as quick as he came.
Klaus takes a deeper breath this time once he senses Kol is gone from earshot. He strolls to the door and rolls his shoulders back, peeking it open slowly. All leftover tension leaves his body when he lays eyes on you, bundled up with one of his sweatshirts he hadn’t realize you’d taken. He would have minded if anyone else taken what was his….
but everything he had he would give to you.
He hears the bathrooom door open and it almost shakes him from the sight. He was suprised Kol left Davina alone for five minutes. He doesn’t realize the irony at the time. But then again, will he later? Something disturbs him completely from you though.
He sighs a drawled out breath, turning over his shoulder toward the tap on it. “Ye-“ When he turns to the girl, he’s met with a cautiously hopeful version of her. He doesn’t get the option to begin to wonder why. His eyes scan the pregnancy test with questions, concerns, and a few theories.
His lips purse, his eyes lighting up. At the end of the day he knew how excited this would make Kol.
Davina’s face falls a little.
“No…”
She looks to you. You’ve nestled the blankets and his sweatshirt all together in one swarm of comfort. Even in sleep you were searching for for it.
His eyes widen, his lips following to say words but not succeeding.
He didn’t need to wonder why you were upset anymore. But he didn’t need to worry about anything in that very moment because everything he had he would give to you,
and his empire would now be yours. Your child’s.
