to be honest, while I like where the chapter's headed, has anyone else been finding the whole wrap up of the last arc kinda rushed? I haven't seen anyone else mention this yet, but it feels like too many events are happening at once, like Kusanagi just wants to wrap things up quickly... and then add a Hakyona marriage so everyone will be content and forget about the rushed points. lil anticlimatic.

Like also, Su-Won and Hak are kinda back to being gay besties in the moment - but on that note, Su-Won, what do you mean Hak "always says the most absurd things?" You've literally only shared one conversation with him post-betrayal, what do you mean by "always"? Hak wanted to destroy your ass for most of the series. Lil ooc. Quit acting like you've been talking to him forever post-betrayal.

Like okay, plot twist after plot twist. The marriage plot twist? Yes it's absolutely fire, definitely awesome, but the others? Rushed. Actually while I considered the castle arc the worst in the story, this yandere dragon arc thing is coming to a close second.

Also, after the dragon warriors get Yona back, is that really it? The end?

NOW, on to the fic, I also have been reading Lewandowski age gap fics because I love age gaps. Like... Lewy and Gavi??? Ugh I love it, I want to scream. I can get past the daddy thing (I don't really have that kink, it's just not me) because I love the dynamic between Lewy and Gavi so much. Every day, I wait for this fic to update because it's exactly what I love: younger character realizing their older mentor/friend is insanely hot and then fucking losing their minds over it. Also, of course you can't see it any other way because Lewandowski literally said he wants to be a father to the younger players, so who are we to stop him? 🥰🥰🥰

Long story short, 1) please bring Gavi back so we have someone climbing Lewy, and 2) someone who isn't me, please write the long form slow burn Lewy/Gavi fic that I so desperately need.

Stephen gradually drifted awake to the rustling of turning pages, basking in the warmth of the arm wrapped around him, soaking in the comfort of the body he was entwined with. Heavy eyelids weren’t quite ready to accept consciousness, but that wasn’t stopping his fingers from twisting into Orm’s shirt, curled into his ribs at the end of an arm pinning him securely in place, or his leg from slotting deeper into its piece of their snuggled puzzle, hooked over a thigh and wedged beneath a knee.

Knuckles caressing his waist and a fond voice answered his stirrings. “I’m not going anywhere, my love.”

He nuzzled sleepily into his chest, breathing in the fishy scent that wove the ocean into his dreams. “’M not taking any chances.”

Orm chuckled, a soft little sound infinitely more harmonious than the classical music quietly emanating from his nightstand. “You have my full attention, I assure you.”

“Mhm,” he hummed with playful dubiousness. “Then where’s your other hand?”

“Someone’s in a greedy mood,” he groused just as playfully. A dust jacket crinkled and the weight of a book settled against Stephen’s leg before Orm obliged, the requested other hand coming to rub his shoulder. “Is this sufficient?”

“I suppose,” he said, contentedly loosening his grip. Contentedly, and tiredly.

Which Orm noticed, of course. Abandoning his shoulder, he trailed down his arm to untangle the remainder of his grip and turn his hand over, spreading his fingers to check on the pricked tips from the rough blood sugar crash that had preceded this nap. “You don’t seem to be bruising.”

“That’s good,” he mumbled distractedly, catching Orm’s hand when he tried to put him down, successfully encouraging him to proceed with a light massage.

“And you seem to be feeling better.” His arm tucked him closer. “Correct?”

Stephen sighed, throwing off a few more dregs of sleep to check. No shaky hands, no overheating body, and when he reluctantly pried his eyes open, the room was blurry without his glasses, but it was easy to look up and focus on Orm’s handsome face, patiently awaiting an answer with a trace of concern in a searching gaze. “Yeah,” he confirmed. “I’m just tired, baby.”

“Understandable,” he murmured. He lifted his hand to his lips, kissing his fingertips as if to apologize for helping with the necessary pain of checking his blood sugar repeatedly until he’d stabilized, and Stephen squeezed gently, an extra smidge of reassurance that he was fine. “There’s plenty of time yet until dinner if you wish to continue napping.”

His eyelids were certainly ready to agree, but… “I could probably make it to the library if you still want to go there today,” he offered.

Orm shook his head. “I have books to read here,” he said. “Rest.”

Obediently, gratefully, he let his eyes close, the days of pushing through every crash alone a blissfully distant memory. “Are you sure?”

“Yes.” He returned Stephen’s hand to its original position, freeing his own to stroke his hair, soothingly brushing through what was probably a ruffled mess at the moment. “There is nowhere I’d rather be than right here.”

Stephen smiled, happily twisting his fingers into Orm’s shirt once more and nestling deeper into his embrace, seeking out the heartbeat that would lull him to sleep. “I love you, too.”

Orm kissed his forehead, and he drifted peacefully back into dreams of the ocean holding him close.

Just watched the new Taeyong music video and it's. So much. There's so much going on. It's nice that sm did something a little different but it's a lot, esp. combined with the song. Shoutout to greasy gamer god tho. What are your thoughts on it in case you've watched it?

it sure is A Lot!!! i think there's a lot of joy in it and it's super clear that there was a vision that had zero interest in being factual (the knight being from the year 1800 cracked me UP slkfjglkdfjglksdfjg) and instead reveled in the spectacle of it all, which i will always appreciate. the styling is so interesting and taeyong has historically had a pretty good fashion eye, but it's most the 'character' outfits that stand out like mr knight and yetti. we never actually saw anything that was that interesting in the actual stage styling which was a big disappointment for me. i think it's likely that it was more a practical issue bc a lot of the outfits from both the mv and the concept photos were big on silhouette and those can be hard to dance in, but imo that doesnt mean the promo outfits gotta be boring typical hiphop-esque fare. you can do better.

personally it wasn't a super successful debut for me bc i don't really buy taeyong as a soloist in the same way as gd or dawn, who are very much what this debut is modelled off of. maybe it's bc both dawn and gd actually push/ed beyond convention with their styling even for promotions, or maybe its bc dawn is leagues ahead of taeyong as a dancer, idk. there's something about it that just doesn't click for me as something that was truly 'taeyong', yanno?

Skorrai: I (100+ NB, without a body) made my host (27F) try to unalive the people closest to her in order to achieve our shared goal of overthrowing the tyrannical government. It clearly is a necessary evil – she’s just too young and insignificant to understand. AITA?

Khor: I (27F) keep pushing my love interest (23F) away because I’m being possessed by an evil entity. AITA?

Fiann: I (23F) joined the rebellion to revenge my father and both my mums say it’s alright even though I can clearly see my decision is causing them great pain. Also, our leader (34F) is kinda trying to get into my love interest’s (27F) pants, so I’m revolting against her and the generals. AITA?

so. update. dawn has a bit more backstory now! im telling you it all sorry not sorry

place names are hard, but dawn was an orphan child on the capital of this kingdom (yet to get a name-) who gets taken in a member of the silverbloom hunter guild, group who dedicate themselves to hunting vampires and was originally founded in the honor of the weeping lady (the goddess of death of this world's pantheon, who despises the undead since they are a disgrace to her domain), even if not all members of silverbloom are that religious or followers of the weeping lady necessarily- but a good amount of them do follow this goddess

the hunter that took dawn in also took another child in, theodore, who dawn grows to be quite close to, seeing him like a brother, and another orphan who ended up becoming quite a devout follower of the weeping lady and very excited to join the hunter guild once he is old enough, he sees it that getting rid of such vermin in the eyes of his goddess is a great honor 

(theodore was bdubs in the original au, the goddess was originally cleo but weeping lady became merged with another goddess from an original pantheon that didn't have a world and doesn't resemble cleo that much anymore)

so, after several years of insisting that she joins too, theodore drags dawn to join the silverbloom hunters, even if she did have some doubts, and it's during a training hunt that dawn gets bitten by a werewolf 

dawn got lost from the path in the middle of the forest, did not realize it was a full moon, ran into a “weird wolf” and got attacked and bitten by it on the leg. she hides the bite from the rest of the trainees, and ends up joining the hunters 

the bite happens roughly four to five ish months before the start of the story, so dawn is pretty new to being a werewolf still and the quest to the town where dawn meets selene is the first proper one she gets sent to by silverbloom

There is so so SO much lore to the story of Dusk To Dawn that I simply can't do it justice in a text post, but I will do my best to cover the basics.

2 alien races are at war: The Amphizori and the Cryozak. The leader of the military branch of Amphizori, Raika (he/him), decides "hey what if we made a bioweapon out of alien wolves and we made it so that they have enhanced senses, can camouflage even on an infrared scale, are solar powered, and only attack lifeforms that resemble the target (humanoid) would that be fucked up or what?" So he recruits a bunch of scientists to make these (project stendri, also called shadewolves by humans). Also Raika is a piece of shit btw he treats all the scientists, especially the lead scientist, Keicazil (he/they), like total shit and emotionally manipulates most if not all of them.

Raika decides to use the newly discovered exoplanet with sapient life on it (Earth) as a testing ground because he sucks. All of thr scientists are not ok with this but are forced to go through with it anyways bc he's their boss. This is when keicazil and his boyfriend start to formulate a plan to tell both alien races of the horrors that Raika has done, save Earth, and just straight up mutany this dudes ass.

While this is all going on there's shit going on with the humans too!!

There are 4 main characters:

Elias Ramsamooj (he/him), Kepler Manzello (they/them), Rowan Flowers (he/him), and Faith Vazquez (she/her).

Other important characters include Sage (she/her), Hazel (she/her), Christine Murray (she/her), Angelica Murray (she/her), John Miller (he/him, and Noel (she/her).

I'm not gonna go too much in depth in all their stories bc there's A LOT to cover but essentially Kepler and Elias have been online friends for years and were planning on meeting up irl. Halfway through Elias' road trip to meet Kepler the alien invasion happens. They end up meeting up but only after shadewolves have killed Kepler's family so they're pretty fucked up. They later meet Faith who was left for dead by her old group of friends (there's SO many layers to that group btw it's a similar situation to what happened with the scientists and Raika). They then meet Rowan and save him from being murdered by some people who belong to The Children of the Wolf (It's a cult. Similar to we the people from thr sun vanished but also very different at thr same time).

After they meet up they meet up with Sage and Hazel, the 2 leaders of thr Community. (It's basically just a small town lol they are very well off tho). Faith pissed off thr leader of TCotW and there's like a mini war between the community and the cult lol bit I'm not gonna go into that.

Just know that story has a happy ending ^_^ I'm hoping to turn it into a book someday maybe

ALSO The Children of the Wolf are lead by Angelica Murray. The cult believes that the shadewolves are angels sent from heaven to cleanse the earth of sin. They protect and "live in harmony" with them. They also believe anyone killed by a shadewolf was "not following in the path of god."

They're insane and. Yeah just all around not a fun group of people. Especially their leader she's also a dick LMFAO

That's all I can tell yall for now. This story takes a bit of inspiration from the sun vanished arg too if it wasn't obvious though nothing that can be pointed out very easily (I hope lol)
