dazai is totally alive because asagiri didn’t milk the angst of him dying NEARLY enough. like. you think this man wouldn’t throw in some “odasaku, i’ll see you on the other side” type shit???? and this is just such a weak and unsatisfying way to end both dazai’s arc and soukoku’s story. forget about the logistics of him dying for like 2 seconds and think about how much sense it would make for a fabulous storyteller and writer liek asagiri to kill him off like this. he’s going to be alive next chapter trust🙏🙏

ep 11 of bsd (this is like a summary of what is happening n theories in the fd)

the fd is literally going insane rn, we dont know what will happen next in the anime, since the anime has caught up to chap 109, or already animated the 2ND NEWEST CHAPTER THAT CAME OUT A MONTH AGO. this is like when both anime n manga fans r in the same boat

soooooo, we have some theories n predictions (that i saw)

bones is going to make up a new ending that doesnt make any fucking sense. we saw this with many franchises, it literally gets a name as "bones ending". (obv us fd do not like this, it is butchering the original scource, n seeing ur fav manga gets sth like that isnt fun)

bones got early access to the unreleased chapters. (i think this prediction does make a lot of sense, especially with the newest ep, as i said before, they animated a chapter that came out a month ago, so they prob got supervised from asagiri, that also can explain why are there changes in the anime)

stormbringer gets animated (i dont think this will be true, stormbringer is a lot longer than other LN, so 1 ep cannot fully animated it)

so, yall know ep 11 is called " twilight goodbye" right?

there is a poem by irl nakahara chuuya named "the twilight of this spring day", n a novel (?) called "goodbye" by irl osamu dazai, which is unfortunately unfinished due to his death. the "twilight" could also be the ada, bcs it is referred as one a few times.

you see where is this going right?

some people even say the reason why bones missed dazai's last words is bcs they want us to know he is dead.

BSD 114.5 spoilers!!

Now that Fyodor’s ability is revealed, most of the fandom already theorise that Dazai is probably the only person who can kill Fyodor.

But the thing is, in the light novel “55 Minutes”, it is revealed that when Dazai is about to die, his ability shuts down first before he really dies. That’s why Yosano could heal Dazai, though the time frame is only 0.5 seconds before death.

Even if Dazai kills Fyodor, he only kills the host of the ability itself. Fyodor will exist because his ability “crime and punishment” is only active when death happens. So it continues to exist until it can take over the new host. And Dazai’s nullification does not erase the ability’s existence, it can only temporarily stop the ability from becoming active, or take effect on him. So that 0.5 second time frame is deadly, because Fyodor could subsume Dazai easily, and there’s no way of knowing how fast it can occur.

The only way to outsmart this ability now is for the murderer to die before Fyodor dies. So we would need a 100% effective way of doing this . There are options like poison, which gives the murderer enough time to kill themselves first before the ability activates.

Which means anyone can kill Fyodor, but the killer has to sacrifice themselves. Thus, Dazai may not be the person who kills Fyodor in the end. Okay, Dazai’s suicidal desires probably would put himself to be the guy who would initiate the plan. But with how everyone was baffled by the fact Bram Stoker was the person who’s taken over by Fyodor and not Sigma or Nikolai, I’m really not surprised that a plot twist would happen and it won’t be Dazai
