Okay, see, the thing about your story ending on a negative/dystopian/'despite everything that's happened nothing has changed in society' note and doing so successfully? It needs to have been set up for that in the first place, and it needs to be done in an intentional manner.

I have nothing against works that reinforce how cruel/meaningless/pointless/etc. the world is -- I enjoy a fair few! -- but the works themselves need to be some sort of commentary about it; the plot might be demonstrative of the futility of everything, but the story never should. It should take that and build on it and use it to make a statement, underscore a point, etc. to its readers. Having everything carry on business-as-usual without acknowledging it, especially in a genre that's generally meant to conclude on optimistic, uplifting, and hopeful notes, comes off as callous and in direct opposition with the values it extols.

Plus, the story itself should never be futile because, then, well, it never mattered as a work and it makes no difference if you've read it or not. Which... that's just a badly written story lmao.

it's interesting how both work remixes highlight how bare and short the original song is. in the don diablo remix, jongho's high note gets extended, and in the edenary remix, the first chorus gets re-edited as a prechorus leading into an instrumental chorus, and then they add a ~3 seconds long transition into hongjoong's verse. all those changes sound better than the original, because you need breathing space and pacing for a song to sound good.

i'm still wondering whether they'll return to Good Musicmaking with the next comeback, or keep on doing those atz-flavoured chill vibes over and over because it's what's currently popular :']

Irodori festival “sequel” event where it’s Ayaka, Kazuha, and Ayato trying to help Heizou figure out a “cold case with little to no clues” (that case being the Tatarasuna incident that recently got altered by Irminsul). Traveler is present during the entire thing but obviously can’t tell them that their memories got altered and solid material mentioning anything related to the eccentric wanderer explicitly got altered as well. However, Wanderer did request of the traveler that if they ever come face to face with any of the descendants that he messed with that he would like for them to know it was him that made them deal with the negative ripple effects of his actions. It’s a matter of Traveler trying to figure out how to tell them without going into details about Irminsul.

their concepts are so!!!!!!!!! cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i also think their music is batshit insane and i love that for them. guerilla goes so hard and for what???? my slow descent into insanity???? and the MV for the real?????? i've never recovered.
