hey hii, i have more drawn fc's to display-

here's some info's about them (warning: very long-) (ofc my ask box is always open if you wanna know more about them :>)

. juni is a young girl who writes cheesy fanfics on whatever the flipline version of wattpad is, as well as character x reader stories :O she is also quite underweight, but she is working on getting her weight back to normal

. adam is a demon from the underworld. it is always willing to do orders for anyone, even for humans when it's summoned by them. however i wouldn't recommend doing so because it'll never ever leave you alone XP

. aragorn is an elf who... is rather too focused on science-related stuff to care about what's happening in the world. heck, he doesn't even acknowledge his own son's destructive behaviour, letting him do whatever he wants without thinking twice

. dakarai knows jericho (another oc of mine). they are close friends and consider each other cousins

. everest is aragorn's son. he used to be afraid of doing anything bad behind his dad's back, but when he found out his father was too invested in science to care, he started to take advantage of him to do anything he wants and became rebellious

. mortimer is a devil disguised as a human (he doesn't live in the underworld, he has his own clan with his own people), he initially disguised himself as a human to blend in and end them all when the time comes, but had grew a liking to them and defended them from his former devil clan

. blanche is what people call an interesting woman. she is a rich woman who owns several pet snakes, from small snakes to enormous snakes, and she is able to control them, in which people often question how but she refuses to tell XP

. zephyr is a college student who studies robotics, they have successfully crafted a robotic mask that displays cute emoticons and has worn it for so long, people forget what they look like underneath :O

. ariadne is cruella's (you can find her in another post about my oc's-) younger and very enthusiastic sister. she works behind the bar with another oc of mine and loves to make delicious cocktails.

. subin is a young father of four kids at a small village. he has a very sweet demeanour and would take care of anybody. however, he's unaware of the fact he has a terrifying monster form at night, that has nearly killed several visitors

Bite-ability of my ult biases 💀

I just thought this would be a very funny list to make, as I often beat the inner demon's biting urge back. This isn't even really sexual, just genuinely I'm a menace who likes to bite things. Don't judge me too harshly🧍🏻‍♀️Also there's no genuine method behind my scale other than that it just makes sense to me.

1. Keonhee

(8/10) seems very biteable. Very tall, so there's more to bite. Honestly want to bite his shoulders or neck the most.

2. Subin

(9/10) Arms??? Idk it seems like a weird spot, but I really just want to chomp onto his arms like turkey legs. Also his ears?? Maybe... I'm conflicted, because it could only be a nip but they also look very biteable?

3. Chuji

(10/10) every time I see this man... I just... CHOMP... I just wanna bite him so bad. He just has the vibes that I want to bite him any time I see him. Anyways. Neck, chest, waist, and legs. I wanna bite them all.

4. Suil

(5/10) honestly he just doesn't really give me bite vibes. But I'll never go under a 5 cause if a bite is on the table I'll take it. If I were to bite somewhere I think it'd be the arms.

CHAPTER 20: "There Was Blood II"

I watched as he swung at me. I was careful not to get hit. The man was huge. He looked like he was 7 feet tall. Not to mention he was bulky. That bat of his was a problem with way he kept swinging at me. I never intended on bumping into someone like him.

When I left Subin with her siblings, there was already a commotion in the living room. Her parents seemed to have a heated discussion with another person who seemed to be covered up. He wore a demonic mask along with an all black track suit. His voice was unnatural- it was strange.

Who was he? And how was he connected to her parents?

I tried to stay quiet and made my way upstairs where I believed I could cause a bit of a distraction. If I would make some noise upstairs, that would give Subin and her siblings time to escape. I can't let them be near the front door or near the windows. I needed them away from there as much as possible.

As I made my way up there, I could hear chaos unfold in the living room. There were two loud bangs as if things were being tossed around.

I hid behind the railing and saw a glimpse of the masked man with a knife. Blood was dripping all over it and Mister Kim seemed to have fallen backwards.

Miss Kim screamed in horror while the masked man continued to attack Mister Kim. I felt fear creep over me. Never would I think I would be in a situation like this. The thought of blood instilled distressed within me.

Was he going to kill him? What is going on?

I wanted to remain calm, but it was difficult hearing the screams of agony and horror I was hearing. I held onto the railing to control myself from panicking, but my heart was racing with fear.

I then heard steps near me. That's when my eyes met with the giant of a man. If looks could kill, it was obvious he wanted me dead.

I ran into a room down the hallway in hopes I can get some time to breathe. Upon entering the space, it was oddly furnished. The windows were covered up and the place reeked of blood. I couldn't see what else was in there except for a mattress that laid on the floor. It was bare and stained. I could only image the possible uses of the room, but I tried to shake off the thoughts that filled my head of possible acts done to others.

I don't know how terrible Subin's parents really are, and I didn't want to traumatize myself thinking about. I had more important things to deal with such as the man chasing me with a bat. Their victims will get justice.

I heard his loud steps enter the room and I quickly kicked him on the back of his knee so he can fall over. He made a loud noise upon falling and sprinted out of the room with a shut of the door. The door was one of the heaviest doors I ever pulled. What was this made out of? Metal or something? It's too dark to see.

I heard a metal noise upon closing it, and my eyes went up.

There was a lock above the door and I quickly put it into place. I walked backwards and watched as the giant struggled to break the door down. His bat swung endlessly, but it did nothing the surface.

My breath went heavy as I tried to calm down from the disaster that could have happened.

I heard the sound of running and my ears perked up. I quickly turned around and saw a figure running towards me. I felt my adrenaline rush kick in once I saw who it was.

"Subin!?" I say aloud in shock.

She looked terrified. She ran straight into my arms as she shook with fear. I can hear her try to speak to me but she seemed too in shock to corporate a sentence.

I held her shaking body and gave her soft pats to calm her down. Before I could ask if she was okay, I heard footsteps coming towards us.

They were slow as if they were in no rush to find us.

I didn't like it.

I held onto Subin and tried to find an exit. There was another bedroom next to us that was wide open. It looked furnished as if someone actually slept in there unlike the other room. The windows weren't covered up and I had a feeling that could be our escape.

"Another face?"

I heard a deep voice say. It was distinct and uncanny. The masked man from earlier walked towards us with a knife in his hand. It dripped blood as though he hurt another victim. Subin turned around to look at him, but she held onto me tightly.

From what I saw, Subin had a small cut on her face, but had no fatal injuries. She must have bumped into him after he stabbed Mister Kim. But why isn't the blood dried by now?

I quickly stood in front of her so she can stay behind me. The banging from the door behind us started to get louder.

My eyes went back and forth between the two men that we were in the middle of. I felt Subin hold my hand. I looked down at our interlaced fingers before meeting her eyes.

"I have a plan," she whispers.

I heard the masked man's footsteps grow closer. It didn't help that he was dressed in black in this dark house. I tried to keep an eye on him. I while I held Subin's hand tightly. There was no way I was going to let him near her.

"Whatever you have in mind, Subin- I'll protect you no matter what," I tell her while my eyes remained on the upcoming threat.

I felt Subin's hand pull me back a little.

"Let's make them fight it out." I hear her say with the following of the familiar sound of metal.

I quickly turned around and saw her open the door behind us before pulling me into the other bedroom. I tried to close the door, but she stopped me. She let a crack stay open and she watched what was going on outside.

Her hand remained in my hand while we witnessed the event unfold.

There stood the big man staring down the hallway. He seemed pissed off and sprinted down the hall where the other man was at. We heard banging and grunts of pain.

Subin then closed the door and looked at me. Her eyes lit up as though she believed we'll be okay.

"Let's get out of here," she says. Her voice was a bit shaky but she was regaining her confidence.

I nodded my head. We made our way to the window and began to find a way to unlock it. We yanked and pushed each side of it, but it was bolted shut.

It wouldn't open.

I felt myself grow nervous with what was happening. I looked through the window to see if anyone could see us, but we were blocked by a tree.

"Shit," I heard Subin mutter.

I turned to look at her. She was analyzing the window as if it was something that didn't make sense.

"This was my room," she muttered. "When did they do this?"

She looked utterly confused with a hint of panic. We heard more noises coming outside, but this time, there was faint banging.

That had to be the back up Wonwoo was talking about. I felt a sense of relief until the door busted open. There stood he stood dragging a bat in his hands.

"You're pissing me off."

His voice boomed behind his mask. There was blood all over the bat along with his knife. I can't imagine what happened to that giant. Who was this guy that could take care of a man of that stature?

I pulled Subin to stay behind me. He gazed at me with a twirl of his knife. I felt my eye twitch from anxiety. My hand instinctively went to the knife on my holster. I heard noises coming from the living room, and almost immediately the man shut the door and locked it. He blocked the door way and made sure we wouldn't get out.

"Subin. Don't let him get near you," I tell her.

She didn't say anything, but with the way her hands gripped my shirt, I'm sure she knew the amount of danger we were in.

My eyes widened once I saw him move his arm quickly. I dodged the object that he threw at us, and I saw the knife bounce off the window.

He was fast. I didn't even see him coming. He got close and swung the bat at me and I quickly pushed Subin away. I felt the bat hit my left forearm when I tried to block the hit and I winced in pain. He continued to swing and I grabbed the bat even though the impact stung.

He kept pushing me and my body rammed into the dresser. I heard something fall and below me I saw my walkie talkie fall to the ground. He looked down as well, and I quickly kicked it under the bed where it reached the other side of the room.

Subin saw it and ran to grab it. The man turned around to stop her, and I took this opportunity to yank the bat out of his hands and kicked him to the ground. He fell backwards onto the floor next to the knife that he threw earlier.

I watched him grab it and stood up. I quickly took out the knife in my holster. I never used this before, but I can't let him know that.

"Call the others, Subin," I tell her.

She stood on the other side of the bed with shaky hands. She nodded her head while she made her way to the door.

The man lunged at me with his knife and I dodged it. He began to swing it with such precision I felt it pierce my skin once I failed to dodge his ongoing attacks.

I tried to stop him, but he was too fast. I had to use books on the table to protect me from anymore wounds that could possibly happen.

In the corner of my eye I saw Subin take out the stun gun I gave her.  She held it up with shaky hands. I heard a rapid electrical sound and the man turned around.

His attention went to Subin who pointed the object in front of him. Before he could react she let the electrical wires shoot at him. It was a direct hit and he fell to the floor shaking.

I took this opportunity to get to the other side where Subin was at and grabbed the bat on the floor.

"Wonwoo knows where we're at," she tells me.

I nodded my head. I felt a sense of relief hit me. I heard footsteps come from the other side of the door along with a loud bang.

The door flung open. 

There were men dressed in special uniform with a battering ram in their hands. Behind them stood Wonwoo who had his gun ready.

They looked at us and Wonwoo came inside the room. Behind him were a few other men who had police uniform. Subin and I watched as those men cuffed the man on the floor along with telling him his Miranda Rights.

"I'm glad to see you two are okay," Wonwoo tells us.

He watched his men pick up the criminal and drag him out of the room along with bagging his knife. One of them gestured for the bat in my hand, and I obediently gave it to them.

I felt a sharp pain to my side and I put my hand. I looked down and saw blood coming from my side. Wonwoo and Subin looked at me with wide eyes. I began to feel dizzy.

"Chan!" I heard Subin say.

But everything went blurry.

It got dark.

hola nerds it’s gemma again 🤓 on today’s episode i present 2 u miss city gworl bae sumi! she’s a phd candidate enrolled in the joint program between snu and han pharmaceuticals so on the outside u may think she’s smart n has her life tgt, but in reality she’s a lil uhm *nicki minaj vc* messy 💅 also if u’ve read her powers u’ll notice that it reads like a literal demon ( s/o 2 the nara clan and don’t starve together for the inspo ) so u best believe ya girl sumi here is od’ing on ability suppressants bc she is truly not doin this shit today! imma place all further rambling under the cut for all u keen folk but otherwise, pls hit that LIKE to plot!! thank u lov u mwah ♡

grew up in rural andong! needless to say the view on metahumans there is not nearly as progressive bc it’s no eden! it’s not like metahumans are hated or anyth but as a lil context i do think religion and superstition would have a much bigger role in rural areas, similarly to our world today

anw sumi is the oldest of three siblings! she’s born to a human mother n a father who’s a silent carrier of the metahuman gene, so they were a lil shocked to find out that sumi’s got that sliver of gold in her eyes 🤓 in the end they can’t be too surprised tho, since her dad’s older sister is metahuman ( she’ll come into play later )

as a child, sumi has alw had a really overactive imagination and is v fearful of ghosts n the dark! v typical of lil children her age and her mom doesn’t bat an eye when she’s runnin 2 her parents room at night n tellin em there’s a monster under her bed... bc of this she alw sleeps w a nightlight but yknow this is still p normal, nothin out of the extraordinary

until her power manifests at 5 and weird shit starts happening... like mom walks in n finds the window in her and her brother’s ( subin’s ) room wide open when both her children r too short to reach it, or subin is claiming that sumi beheaded his teddy bear n she’s crying n saying she didn’t do shit tf the ghost did it!! her mom is getting hella spooked n is like yknow what imma go see a shaman

the shaman tells sumi’s mom that sumi is haunted and her bad dreams of ghosts n shit r a bad omen, and that it is likely that her close family members will suffer bad health if they don’t ditch her ass

sounds ridic wtf but also she’s gettin rlly... scared of sumi n she’s not doin a v good job of hiding it... it gets worse when one night she hears her son crying n screaming n when she rushes to their room she sees him FLOATING n notices that sumi’s shadow seems to have stretched n merged w subin’s n she screams

sumi’s mom is rlly not doin well at this point... she has 0 idea what to do n she’s hella scared of sumi until her dad is like wait maybe sumi’s not actually haunted mayb it’s her power? regardless, both of them do not know how to raise a metahuman kid and time is ticking bc they’re afraid sumi’s gna k*ll subin n them w her shenanigans, so they decide that the best course of action is to ship sumi off to live w her metahuman aunt in eden

so now sumi’s livin w her aunt who she’s never met her entire life other than like a facetime every now n then! her aunt is a certified Cool Aunt, has divination as a power n is single n v happily childfree, so she has 0 clue how 2 raise a kid but she’s doin this bc thru her ability to see into the future, she realises that sumi has a.... bigger problem than her powers: that’s right the bitch is a pyromaniac n her parents were so concerned ab her powers that they missed all the warning signs! the stolen lighters.... the hidden ashes in the flower pot that’s actually burnt origami that sumi brought home from sch... the shaman was right sumi would’ve brought em “bad health” by accidentally burnin the whole house down!!!! 

her aunt doesn’t rlly bother telling her parents this tho bc she doesn’t wanna spook them further ( according 2 her they are rolls eyes easily scared so it’s no wonder sumi’s inherited this ) n there was no way they were goin 2 b able to overcome their fears to raise sumi not necessarily right, but like.... without death so she’s like it’s me who’s gotta do it 

to sumi’s defense she became a pyromaniac out of fear of the dark n fire brought a lot of comfort 2 her n it was to the point where whenever she felt scared ab anyth in general she would feel this intense need to light a fire bc somehow she would feel protected by it n that nth could hurt her bc the fire would protect her

anw sumi’s mom says this solution is only temporary but she keeps postponing the date she’s gna come take sumi back so ig sike sumi’s aunt is rlly j her mom now n that’s on that w abandonment issues

it’s for the better tho bc sumi’s aunt is like objectively the better parent tho she doesn’t rlly treat sumi like her kid, kinda is more like an older sis figure!!

so back 2 sumi’s upbringing, her aunt lets her run around the house for a bit n realises that bc she’s alone now n in a new place, her shadow is acting up even more as she sleeps w her nightlight n turnin it off is not an option bc sumi will start 2 cry n want to light fires!!! bit of a catch22 so the aunt decides 2 tackle the easier problem first n buy her ability suppressants so she can at least sleep w her nightlight on!!

w ability suppressants it all starts to go rlly well, sumi’s aunt j predicts when she’ll light fires w her divination n manage to put a stop to it ( she’s not alw successful ofc... sumi ends up accidentally burning the tent she bought for performing gut rituals and other shit but.. the good news is most irreversible damage has been prevented )

it’s rlly j a cat n mouse between her n her aunt n this continues well into her teenage years until she’s sorta calmed down a bit!! fires still bring her a lot of peace and she still lights em every now and then, but she mostly is able to ignore the impulse unless she’s goin thru some like... really bad shit in her life then she’ll start planning fires n it all gets a lil out of control

anw sumi has alw been rlly intelligent and one thing she’s rlly passionate ab is nvr having 2 be around ghosts ( e.g. her shadow ) so she studies metahuman biology in snu as an undergraduate then masters n now she’s doin her phd in metahuman biology!! her research project is on trying 2 make ability suppressants more efficacious ( like safely increasing duration n potency ) n she’s enrolled in a joint program between snu n han pharmaceuticals!! her goal is 2 create a cure that can make her powers disappear permanently ( ty rogue 4 the inspo )

uhh this was a lot of rambling im sry... a lil ab her personality: rn sumi is at the phase of her life where it’s like falling apart but she’s pretending everything is totes fine : ) she’s drinking on a tuesday night n turning up to lab hungover n giving talks ab her project like sis is rlly not doin well... anyone who’s known sumi outside of work will b able to tell she is messy as shit BUT SHE’S FINE!!

she’s also v impulsive n will do things on a whim,, like imagine she’s tellin u she has a deadline to meet at 12pm tmr but it’s 2am n she’s in the club n she apparently hasn’t started but it’s FINE!!! will tell u she’s completely over her ex then ask u if ur still awake n to pls pick her up from his house at 2am but yknow what it’s FINE

speaking of snu n han pharma imagine if u only know sumi only in a professional context n think she’s v professional and j an upright citizen,, then there’s some work occasion where ur all gathered 2 meet in a casual setting n there’s alcohol involved n now she’s drunk off her ass n she tells u to pls help sneak her out bc she’s 100% she saw her colleagues staring n judging her

sumi’s aunt used to take her to the children’s park quite a bit when she was p young so!! if ur muse is born 94-98 n also went to the children’s park a lot, maybe they could b childhood friends who met there!!

yeah so imagine sumi starts a fire somewhere n it starts gettin out of hand,,, this can be literally anywhere secluded in the city but uhm pls help she is basically a human w the amount of ability suppressants she’s on she can’t stop this fire

He couldn’t help the small gasp as his fingers met the metal bar and you couldn’t help the smile at his surprise. “Surprise.” You said softly and he laughed, making you turn around to face him. Sejun: 

“You’re lying.” Sejun said, simply refusing to believe the information you had just told him. Your relationship was still fresh and there were certain parts of eachother that you hadn’t exposed of yourself yet. So with a bottle of wine, it was natural that the conversation flowed. 

“I’m not lying. I have nipple piercings.” You said, simply sipping your wine. Sejun shook his head, joining you and sipping from his glass. “You still don’t believe me.” You said with a cocked eyebrow and stood up. “I’ll believe it when I see it.” Sejun teased, tongue coming out to swipe over his lips. That wasn’t a problem to you, so you simply lifted your shirt, exposing your pierced nipples and Sejun chuckled. He put his hands on your waist pulling you closer, not giving you a chance to put your shirt back down. He place a light kiss on the valley of your chest and looked back up at you. 

“Well now, I believe you.” 

Hanse: 

It was a casual evening of scrolling through your instagram feeds, curled into Hanse’s chest when you found a picture your piercer had posted. The picture was pierced nipples with a cute bar in them and you couldn’t help but be intrigued. 

“I’ve considered nipple piercings.” Hanse said and you looked at him with a cocked brow, because that would be a sight. “I have nipple piercings. I might have to go to the shop tomorrow to get that bar though, it’s cute.” You said and Hanse looked at you in awe for a moment. “You didn’t know?” You asked and he simply shook his head. “You can’t just say that and not show me.” He smirked and you laughed, quickly getting up to show him. Hanse was staring at your chest and he wasn’t ashamed at all, as someone who liked piercings this made him overjoyed. 

“I think I just fell in love with you.” 

Byungchan: 

He knew you had gotten them done a few days ago and he couldn’t help himself but be curious. “C-can I ask you something?” He asked not being able to stop eyeing your chest through your shirt, however you didn’t really notice. “Mhmm.” You said, locking eyes with him and smiling. 

“Can I see your piercings?” Byungchan asked, doe eyes blinking at you. You couldn’t help but find it endearing, his curiousity. “Curiousity get the better of you?” You asked and he nodded. Laughing to yourself, you stood up and slowly lifted your shirt just to make sure to tease him a little. “They’re still a little sore.” You pouted and exposed your chest. Byungchan’s eyes went wider and grabbed your hips to pull you closer to him, carefully. 

“How long until they heal? Because I really want to touch them.”

Subin: 

Play wrestling was always just so much fun, until Subin brushed against your chest harshly. “Oh shit.” You said, clutching your chest and curling up with laughter. “Did I hurt you?” Subin asked, quickly getting off of you as you laughed in pain. 

“Just a little, hit the nipple piercings a little hard.” You explained and sat up, only to meet the expression of a frozen Subin. “Nipple piercings?” He questioned, not believing what he heard. You nodded your head with a smile as he tried to wrap his head around it. “I- can I see them?” He really couldn’t help himself, he was incredibly curious. “Sure.” You said, sitting up even more and straight up taking your shirt off. He wasn’t expecting to like the look of it as much as he did, but he found himself staring with his bottom lip caught between his teeth. It didn’t go unnoticed by you at all and you couldn’t help but tease a little. “You can touch them if you want too.” 

“I would absolutely love to touch them, as long as I can do some other things too.”

A/n: This was fun and made me consider getting nipple piercings, but I’m a clumsy bitch and scared of needles so that’s a no. But they look so cool.... something to be considered.

2) scold them

first cut: blue.m on a variety show, han messing up a gg dance and subin instantly looking at the camera, saying “the old man can’t dance as well as he used to.” the camera cuts to han saying “yah, why are you being rude? you’d be an old man too if you had to deal with all six of you every day!”

second cut: the members hitting each other with toy hammers, and then getting asked to hit the strictest member. they all begin to hit han, who yells, “you’d be strict too if you lived with six  toddlers! i used to be nice!!”

third cut: the members all on stage, subin and minho messing around at the end of the line while han is trying to say something. he cuts himself short, turning to the pair and asking “minho?” in such a fatherly tone that the audience laughs at the intervention.

3) threaten them ( read: lock them in the bathroom )

first cut: sunghoon is asked who his favourite hyung is during a live. the members all laugh, and han tells him to answer as the rest of the members put their head down. as they all bicker, han warns “the bathroom looks awfully nice”, which causes all the members to laugh even harder

second cut: during a variety show, han is trying to make thank the fans are watching while the members stand next to him, some of them knocking into each other and eventually knocking into han. han turns to them, standing straight up, asking “who wants to go in the bathroom?” before they start bickering amongst themselves, blaming each other for knocking into each other.

4) bite them

several different cuts from random vlives of han biting the members of blue.m ( softly ) because they’ve bothered him or just because he’s spaced out. when it comes to sunghoon and minho specifically, it’s usually random cuteness aggression. 

5) just give up ( you can’t control the demons, they’re the one’s controlling you )

first cut: during a live, the members are arguing over the rules of a game and han simply stays silent, staring into the camera as if he was in the office.

second cut: on a variety show, the members play a game of random dance while also playing freeze tag. every time they freeze, one of them steals a piece of clothing of off han, who simply looks exhausted

third cut: on idol radio, minho asks for attention and asks “haneul hyung, what day is it?” han looks confused but answers “friday?” minho continues, emboldened by the laughter of the other members. “and what happens on fridays?” as the members laugh, han instantly apologizes, bowing in his seat towards minho. “cleaning day! in our dorms, friday is cleaning day. but hyung has been gone for the past three weeks, so we do cleaning day all by ourselves!” the camera cuts to han, red in the face, bowing towards minho as he apologizes again to him, who just replies, “cleaning day was your idea!!”

6) cherish them

first cut: han alone in a yuseong practice room, showing off his watch to show the time, 3:08 am. he says “i’m working hard, but it’s worth it. i want to get the choreography of ‘shine’ just right, so that the members have a good time while performing.

second cut: for a variety show, all the members are asked for write letters to another member. han writes to subin, and ends up tearing up while writing his letter, though he tries to laugh it off. “i love him a lot, you know? no matter what, they’re all family. they’re my family. i honestly didn’t understand what found family was until i joined blue.m.”

third cut: han filming a vlog, coming home late after a night of practicing. instead of heading straight to bed, he checks in each bedroom and pets the head of each member, wanting to make sure they’re sleeping well.

various cuts: han hugging the members, holding their hands, a few of han kissing their cheeks and laughing along with them. a few cuts of him given them his jacket to stay warm, or just looking at them with the proudest smile on his face. the last cut is of han pulling all the members into a group hug during their first win, sounding close to tears as he tells them all he loves them, and yelling their group chant, “a flower has blossomed!”

This fic is part of my October event Thrills and Chills.

Stepping back to admire your handiwork, you study the pentagram you’ve hand-painted on the floor and wonder if you’re really about to go through with this. If what you’re doing is an entirely stupid idea, and if you should back out now while you still have the chance.

You’ve heard of people summoning demons before, of them getting everything they’ve desired. You’ve also heard about the stories where it blows up in their face, and the demon kills them. Were you willing to gamble your life to get revenge?

Your mind flashes back to the moment you walked into your boyfriend’s apartment and found him fucking your best friend. Your boyfriend of five years and your best friend since childhood committing one of the ultimate acts of betrayal. The blood had boiled in your veins, and you had wanted to kill them both on the spot.

Fuck yeah, you’re doing this. You have too much pride to let the two of them get away with hurting you like that, and if it costs you your life, then so be it. You’d rather be dead than have to come across either of those two ever again.

Crouching down to light the candles at each point of the pentagram, you grab the piece of paper you had printed out from some shady website and look down at the chant. The odds of this working were small, but you don’t care. You want revenge, and this is the only way you know how to get it without being thrown in prison.

Clearing your throat, you begin saying the chant. You follow the words and directions closely, repeating and doing what needs to be done. After nearly five minutes, you stop. How long are you supposed to do this for? How’re you supposed to know if anything even happens? A demon is just going to be standing in the pentagram like a movie?

Sighing, you let the directions fall to the floor. This is stupid. You’re stupid. You kneel on the floor and lean close to one of the candles to blow it out, but a rumble has you freezing. An earthquake? You didn’t get earthquakes in your area, but with the way the floor is rumbling… What else could it be?

You stand up to go look out the window and come face to face with a dark shape forming in the pentagram. Your eyes double in size, and a spike of fear zips through your heart. Holy. Shit. It’s working.

Slowly backing away from the symbol, you keep your eyes trained on the dark figure that is almost in a completely solid-state. You watch in awed horror as the black shadow forms into a dark, scaly creature. Its shape is humanoid. Its eyes are an intense obsidian that appear to be staring deep into your soul as it cocks its head to the side.

A growl so deep that it feels like it’s rumbling in your chest surrounds you. Then, suddenly, a multilayered voice that you’ve heard in nearly every paranormal movie or show you’ve ever seen reaches your ears.

“Did you summon me, human?”

Your eyes trail down its body, starting at its horned head, noticing its clawed hands, and then stopping at its matching feet. You gulp as a nervous fear sets in and steals any voice you have. The demon growls at your lack of answer before sniffing the air. A smile, if you can even call it that, grows on its face.

“Your fear is delicious.”

Taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm yourself, you say, “Yes, I summoned you.”

“And what would a stupid human like you want from a demon like me?” It taunts you.

“Revenge. I want revenge on two people,” you cautiously answer as your eyes rake its body.

The demon cocks its head with interest. After a moment, a shadow begins to ooze from its pores, shrouding it from your eyes. You wonder if the demon is leaving until the shadow retracts and in front of you now stands a young man.

You take in the new figure in surprise and hate yourself when you find him attractive. He’s a demon for Christ’s sake. Nothing about him is attractive. Not his narrowed eyes. Not his soft-looking lips. Nothing, you remind yourself.

A cocky smile grows on his face like he can hear everything you’re thinking, and your heart drops into your stomach. Can he?

“Who would you like revenge on?” His honey voice reaches your ears. “Lover? Family? Foe?”

Blinking a couple times, you look away from his somewhat accurate guesses. Curiously, you ask, “I’m guessing I’m not the only one?”

A musical laugh falls from the figure. “Humans are such fickle creatures. The need for instant gratification always weighs out intelligence. You all want things you can’t have, and the desperate ones are always idiotic enough to summon my kind to get it.”

You look at the ground in shame for a moment. You’re quite clearly in the last category, and the fact that the demon is the one pointing out you’re an idiot is a special kind of irony.

“My boyfriend and best friend.”

The demon’s eyebrows raise in interest. “Cheated, did they?”

Your eyes trail up to his as you confirm, and he shrugs his shoulders. “You’re not the first, and you won’t be the last.”

Letting out a shaky breath, you ask, “So, what will you do?”

“That depends on you. Are you willing to pay the price to get revenge?”

For some reason, it never dawned on you that you’d get this far. You never even considered what the demon would want in return.

“What’s the price, and what will you do?”

“I’ll make their lives a living hell. Make them think they’ve gone crazy and that someone is after them until they descend into absolute madness and lose their faculties.”

You consider if that’s what you want for them. You want them to pay for what they did – to suffer – but you stupidly never truly considered what you wanted to happen. You went into this entire thing half-cocked like an idiot. Just as the demon said.

“For your soul,” the demon finishes.

It feels like the breath is stolen from your lungs as your eyes wildly meet the demons. The price is your soul? To get revenge? No. No way. You’ll drag their names through social media before you sell your damn soul to a demon.

“No.”

He cocks a brow at you. “No?”

“The price is too high. I’m not selling you my soul.”

The demon’s eyes grow hard as he stares at you. It’s like you can almost see the fire burning behind the blackness.

“Are you telling me you’ve summoned me here only to refuse me?” He growls at you, causing fear to spike in your heart.

“I guess so.”

The demon lets out a small laugh before it turns into a louder one.

“You think you can deny me?” He demands as he steps out of the pentagram, completely walking over the protection circle you made. You gasp and quickly back away from him. “You think your stupid little protection stones are going to stop me? Child, you do not know who I am or what I can do, but tonight, you’ll experience it firsthand.”

It shifts back into its original, demonic form, and you back away as it advances on you, tripping over any and everything. Tears stream down your face as it nears, and you realize the horrible mistake you’ve made. Any attempts to scream are dashed because fear has paralyzed your vocal cords, and once you hit the wall behind you and are trapped between a counter and a chair, you know this is the end.

Its clawed hand grips your throat, cutting off your air supply as it leans in close to your face. “The price of summoning me is a soul, so you were never walking away from this. Only now, I won’t do a single thing to your boyfriend and friend. The only one here who will be punished is you.”
