I was slightly creeped out at first, but now I'm impressed.

So... as my account description says, I do bits of modern witchcraft.

And part of that is doing tarot readings.

But this one card

had decided to stalk me for the past three weeks.

And not just through spreads. Even when I was casually shuffling this mf-er popped up.

At first I didn't understand why (not to mention I got creeped out as frick) but then something happened a few days ago that cleared everything up.

My English teacher pulled me aside and told me about how I seem to take too much pride in myself and treat my peers as if they were below me. (I'm in the 'advanced' class, bear in mind)

I was like, okay it's a lecture, I'll correct myself.

But then the next day, she pulls me out of class while everyone else is doing work and tells me about how when she was my age she acted the exact same way. I legit started tearing up as she was talking, and when I went home I shuffled my deck to try and clear my mind.

And surprise, surprise, 'The Devil' popped up.

Then I understood. The Devil was a symbol of my pride, which is one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

My deck had practically been warning me and saying 'YO! GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE!'.

I am honestly impressed at the power of this tiny bit of witchcraft that I did.

And also thanks to my English teacher for teaching me to appreciate humility.

I just bought a new flipping moleskin to try to be better about sketching but darn it I just brainstorm better with paint. So, hello. I hope everyone had a good year's and and new year 😊 some really awesome art things happened for me in 2017, and I've met some really awesome and crazy talented people that I want to take the time to list in another post. For now I'm looking ahead. I didn't really make any immediate effect resolutions this year but have been thinking about things I would like to accomplish in the long term, of which I've been gradually building a list. I want to do some really large scale paintings in watercolor. I want to put out an art book. I'd love to try a graphic novel (if anyone interested is a writer, hey!) And at some point in my life I will make a tarot deck. The motivation resurfaces every once in awhile and I've been keeping various ideas as they come in the back of my mind--like this quickie for the Devil card here! And some personal stuff goals too. Mammon’s Greed Changing

Js I tried really hard on that drawing I hope you like it it too >.<

Mammon sat on the kitchen floor next to his previous frozen devilcard, and his newest devilcard out on the floor as well.

Staring at both old and new devilcards he sat on the floor. Why hasn’t Goldie brought him the same happiness as before. Everything could be his but it was never enough.

Staring at the ice melt while trying to figure out the difference between his old Goldie and his new Goldie. Why did his previous Goldie give him happiness but not the new one.

Maybe he could switch it and Lucifer won’t notice. Upon thinking that a shadow appeared. Speaking of the demon himself. Mammon turned away and sat leaning on the kitchen table now.

Lucifer: Mammon you do realize even if you melt the ice there are no funds on that card right?

Mammon: I know which is why I have a new one, I’m just trying to figure out the difference between the two.

Lucifer: the new one is going to end up like the old one either way, I would say no difference.

Mammon: Oi! Give new Goldie a chance.

Lucifer: fine but don’t be as stupid.

Lucifer was just about to walk away.

Mammon: (whispers) I just want to have my happiness again.

Lucifer stopped and slowly turned back to face Mammon.

Lucifer: Mammon, is it the money you want? Or the things you can buy?

Mammon: I don’t know it doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Lucifer: if that’s the case, do you think that you may simply be missing MC?

Mammon: My MC, is gone. I have lived so many years without that stupid human but why is eternity so different without them?

Lucifer: I’m not sure Mammon, regardless Goldie won’t give you that as much anymore. Now pick it up and go to your room, it’s getting late.
