hey wait im also new to f1 but i saw the other ask and i was curious abt what you meant when you said no one will ever do it like nico rosberg?? also retiring after your first championship win is insane lmao what a power move
nico rosberg is just. he’s insane. he’s cunty. he’s wonderful. he possesses sass and audacity unlike any other. we unfortunately do not have time to get into his whole story (my lunch break is only so long) but here’s some highlights:
-technically he’s a nepo baby. his dad, keke rosberg, won the world championship in 1982 and they remain one of the Few father son duos to both win a world championship (don’t ask me who the others are idk but i know they exist)
-he and lewis hamilton met when they were kids in the late 90s sometime and were gokarting teammates at some point in i think the early 2000s? (not fact checking i don’t have the time rn) and they were Besties. they’ve talked about this before, mostly in older interviews, but the gist is that both of them were outcasts from the other karting kid in opposite ways (nico was the son of a champion and rich and lewis was from nothing and pretty much the only poc most of the time) and that drew them together and they were Menaces according to legend. everything was a competition and they trashed hotel rooms and ate pizza and ice cream and kellogg frosties and went to greece and dreamed of being in f1 together
-nico signed with williams in 2006. his teammate was mark webber. and nico had long flowing blonde hair (this is important). he crashed at one race and mark webber said “britney’s in the wall” cementing the nickname britney, like britney spears. jenson button (another driver) said later on that they called nico britney because he was “very pretty” (do with that what you will)
-he was just. insane. cunty. constantly looked like a european bond villain. wore god awful shoes. whole bit. once he stayed in his car when it got craned off the track cause he didn’t want his hair to get wet. which is insane cause he’s wearing a helmet it would have gotten equally as not wet had he gotten out.
-anyway, lewis made it to f1 in 2007 and they had their first podium together i think that year (?) and it’s cute and fun and oh boy you’re not ready for what these two have coming
-lewis won the championship in 2008 (but he almost won in 2007, his rookie year) at mclaren.
-nico went to mercedes when they recentered the grid in 2010. his teammate was michael schumacher, who was fresh out of retirement. (yes the michael schumacher, 7x world champion). michael fucked with nico endlessly according to legend, including making him piss in a bucket pre race because he would hog the bathroom until the last possible second. nico still out preformed him most of the time, and the car was mid as hell.
-michael retired part 2 at the end of 2012. and who replaced him but lewis hamilton
-so the two of them were teammates again. the cards were absolute Stacked against them. because yes they were besties yes they’d known eachother forever but the first person you’re judged against is your teammate. and you’re trying to beat your teammate. and lewis already had a championship. nico wanted a championship.
-2013 was relatively chill. the car was kinda mid. they did well but not fantastic and did some fuck ass pr (highly reccomend looking those videos up)
-2014 they had a car that could win. and they started fighting eachother for wins. they played all kinds of mind games against eachother and withheld stats and nico ran illegal engine modes (supposedly) and lewis said they were no longer friends after nico supposedly wrecked his monaco qualifying one year but they claimed they still supported eachother and were friends off track. lewis won in 2014 and in 2015. but nico was right behind him and he wanted to win a championship, he didn’t want to be a number 2 driver
-so in 2016 nico did some insane shit. he stopped sleeping with his wife so that he could get better sleep or something, he did weird things to cut weight, he basically did everything and then some to win. and then he did. he won the championship and then at the prize giving ceremony announced he was retiring. he didn’t tell lewis this.
more after i get off work :)

I think the thing which stands out about Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton more than every other driver pairing is that they were genuinely close at one point. Yes it fizzled as they grew older and they very much did fall apart but- they were close. They admit that. Anyone who knew them knew that. Presenters knew that even before they were on the same team.
In a sport where so many drivers on the grid met previously in karting it’s easy to say “oh they just vaguely knew each other as kids and you’re inventing more out of it with hindsight” which is true of a lot of drivers in all honesty. But knowing of each other is not the same as inviting someone to join you on multiple family holidays. That’s not an acquaintance. And there’s so much more too.
The thing about brocedes is that none of the background is imagined. They wrestled in hotel rooms. They had competitions over pizza. Lewis went to Nico’s when he didn’t want to cook. Lewis phoned up their karting boss after their first shared podium. Nico still thinks of him as a friend in his heart. Lewis is a better teammate now. They live in the same building. They both turned vegan and had an extreme e team in a series about the environment and gender equality. Lewis gives Nico’s children’s presents. They’ve known each other a long long time. They dreamed of being teammates and world champions in Greece and it happened in a way they never predicted but it happened.
The story is there, the friendship between them was very much there but competition got in the way.
Because Nico Rosberg with a world champion father and having previously been teammates with Michael Schumacher and having Lewis Hamilton as a current teammate was never far enough away that achieving his dream was impossible. It wasn’t just 2016 that it technically came down to Abu Dhabi and he’s still up there in lists of pole positions, total race victories, consecutive race wins etc and he retired quite early. No he never had the potential either of his Mercedes teammates did but he was more than a second driver and he certainly proved that.
And Lewis Hamilton with so much talent and having been dealt unfortunate hands relative to the incredibly privileged world of Motorsport knew he had the potential to be the best and he couldn’t understand why Nico was trying so hard and using some pretty questionable tactics to beat him. And it really was ugly by the end to an unhealthy degree and I don’t think that anyone would deny that Lewis got the brunt of that.
It seems that in general both have matured a lot now (as tends to happen in a decade) and they’re on fine terms on the rare occasion they do see each other but it really is the best kind of tragedy. The ending was inevitable, no one would have made a different decision, but it’s important to remember the friendship was there. There can’t be betrayal without trust first.

some people say george isn't as good as the other "future wdcs" of his generation or he isn't even all that good in general. but don't you ever fucking forget the never ending terrible circumstances that plague his f1 career that he gets up and tries to beat every single damn race weekend. sadly i am also guilty of losing faith in him so as a reminder just some of george's achievements:
even before setting foot in f1, he won gp3 and f2 in his rookie seasons. he STILL holds the record for most points in a single season in one of the most competitive f2 grids ever.
williams in 2019 weren't capable of even getting a single point without 2 dsqs but george STILL out-qualified his teammate in all 20 races as a rookie.
in 2020 george sat down in a car he had never driven, put on shoes that didn't even fit him and STILL almost won the race. he continued his domination over his teammate this year.
george had one of the most impressive qualis in one of the slowest cars and brought williams to a front row start in a time where they were regularly knocked it q1. he earned his mr saturday title, multiple times. if mercedes weren't going to give him the seat, someone else would have.
in 2022 he was finally called up to go up against the most successful f1 driver in history in his team and he did his absolute best. to make it easy to visualise, george beat lewis this year by larger margin then nico rosberg did in 2016.
even in his scrappiest season in 2023, he matched the greatest qualifier in qualifying and in pace. he's one of lewis' closest ever teammates in both. this is lewis hamilton, the greatest of all time. there is literally no one else who could be a greater challenge for someone pulled up from the back marker of the grid.
multiple wdcs, drivers, commentators and tps have spoken about his talent. he continues to push to the limit in every car even if it fucks him over and even if it doesn't end up mattering. does he make mistakes? yes. but they don't at all take away from his skill.
mercedes already has their golden boy but if toto can't see that, then he can shine elsewhere. he has done what others have and more. he has the mentality because he knows what it means to pick yourself up even if you keep getting knocked down. he's a future champion and that's on that, all he needs is a car.

on brocedes, rosquez, and a secret third thing (sebschumi)
I’ve heard many a comparison between rosquez and brocedes, which is fair given that they’re both divorces with butterfly effects in their respective motorsport category (they're always gonna haunt the narrative). It’s also fun that both sides of each divorce has a side in the other one that they’ve taken, pre-conflict (I’m taking pre-conflict to mean pre-that presscon and pre-2016, though of course the silver war started far earlier), so Marc Marquez and Nico Rosberg vs. Valentino Rossi and Lewis Hamilton.
I have a feeling the intense rivalry and atomic fallout is the only thing they have in common though, since the crux of brocedes is a brutus/judas type betrayal on both sides as far as they’re concerned, with brutus/judas being someone you’ve known for more than half your life, cosigned on your dreams with, and found solace in when the rest of the sport kept their distance.
On the other hand, Valentino is Marc’s hero and idol, and Marc is the upcoming hotshot that Vale takes an interest in because of his talent, and from there they get closer. From what I’ve seen, the rosquez fallout was a one sided thing from Vale, wherein he thought Marc was doing something dubious (he wasn’t), publicly discredited his ability as a rider and said he had no respect for him, in front of Marc and the world. To hear something like that from your idol is crushing, and I would never ever want to be Marc in that press conference.
Personally, I’ve always thought of rosquez as sebschumi gone horribly wrong. Both Marc and Sebastian Vettel have publicly expressed their admiration of Vale and Michael Schumacher respectively, and everyone knows that it’s mainly because of their idols that they race (love of racing and bikes/cars aside). Now, where rosquez ‘went wrong’ and sebschumi ‘went right’, in my opinion, is that Sebastian became Michael’s specialest little boy while also not fighting him for the championship.
While I don’t think that Michael would truly pull his punches, there’s certainly a difference in the way he treated his championship rivals. Seb was on the rise when he was arguably in his decline, and so Michael was able to maintain a friendly mentor relationship with him. If Seb had been older (and therefore entered F1 earlier), or if Michael was fighting for his eighth in 2010, which is a lot of ifs I’ll admit, I have a feeling their relationship wouldn’t really be the same, and may have faced the exact same trajectory as rosquez.
Speaking of the way Michael treats championship rivals though (I’m not an expert on his rivals so I’m missing out a huge chunk of his history as a pilot, but I suppose it also makes more sense to compare Kimi to his contemporaries), we all know how he fought with Fernando, and considering the first person you always have to beat is your teammate, we all know how he treated Nico. It’s funny how his battles with Kimi never seem to reach that level of intensity or dare I say, rancidity. I often think of Nico being Mika’s protégé, and the way that might have affected his relationship with Michael, but that never seemed to influence his treatment of Kimi. Not really relevant to my original point, but I thought it was interesting.
Anyways, given my lack of expert knowledge in the rosquez lore, vs. sebschumi brainrot, forgive me if I’m making assumptions, but I also think Seb meant more to Michael than Marc ever did to Vale. The phrase ‘everyone knows Michael would pick Sebastian’ rattles around my brain more often than I’d like to admit, and what Seb is to Mick is another thing entirely, but as far as I can tell, out of the whole grid, it wouldn’t be Marc that Vale went to first. To me, it’s because fighting him for that top spot at the same time, as well as, I’ve been led to believe, certain whispers in his ear, meant Valentino couldn’t ever really be comfortable being that close with someone he ultimately wanted to destroy, and it wouldn’t have taken much to tip him the other way (the other way being suspicion and hostility).
This may be where the connection between rosquez and brocedes comes into play again. Lewis and Nico’s friendship, while technically stronger than the other two pairings combined, was deeply affected by the experiences they’d had in F1 prior to being teammates. The suspicion, paranoia, and games they’d learnt over the years destroyed what could have been one of the strongest pairings formula one has had. It’s quite easy to argue that had they become teammates earlier, say in Mclaren or Williams, they may not have met the fate they did (not having a championship winning car tends to help, though god knows what’s going on in Alpine).
Of course, the shared nationality aspect helps sebschumi in a way that doesn’t exist for rosquez, and that tension may have played a hand in rosquez’s unbecoming. Although everyone knows that being german definitely didn’t help Nico any. If rosquez were teammates, I actually don’t think they would have been very different from Michael and Nico, except that perhaps they’d be worse.
The original intention of this is getting away from me, but essentially, while rosquez and brocedes is all well and good, rosquez and sebschumi are two different paths the idol/successful fan relationship can take, so I thought the comparison obvious, and that I'd give it some attention!

hii it's 'I'm crying over brocedes' hours, blorbie do you think either one regrets ever meeting the other?
I don't think so!
keke making mclaren mercedes benz karting team for nico and lewis was lewis' first official mclaren connection which later helped his relations with ron dennis. and lewis talking how karting in Italy With Nico when they were kids was some of the best times, because you could truly enjoy the racing without the ego/pressure and just be kids. lewis also said coming to monaco to stay at keke's building with nico as kids was what made him dream big like yes, I want to achieve this life and he did! they live in the same building in monaco now! I would also argue driving wise nico made lewis work on his starts more, and it's the constant competition of 2013-2016 that made lewis a more complete, better driver like his peak form we saw.
for nico, lewis was his greatest challenge and his mountain to climb by beating him. he'd been coming second to lewis his entire life and he needed to prove it to himself that if he gave everything, he could be good enough. it made him hone himself into a better driver when the yardstick of measurement and comparison is the greatest driver in modern f1. I think that's also why nico is so complimentary of lewis as a driver because he has tried and knows where he falls short against him. going up against lewis in the title fight of his life also made him realize he Can walk away from f1, and not many people are able to.
lewis saying he reflected on being a better teammate not just driver after 2016/the last few years wouldn't have happened if silver war never happened. he grew as a person bc of it.
i think they both shaped each other during pivotal parts of their life, and they wouldn't be who they are now if they never met.

“If he wants to prove that he’s a man, I think we should do it out of the car, face to face.”
That phrase, that damn phrase was glued in your mind, disturbing your peace and bringing a sudden panic from the moment you heard it from Lewis’s lips during press conference.
When you were hired by Mercedes team to be Lewis’ PR, you knew you were going to be dealing with tricky things. You would be taking care of the image of a great F1 team, a team that was winning, dominating the category. You would be taking care of the image of an even greater driver, who was considered one of the best the world has ever seen. And when things were so great, the responsibilities were even greater. But you always liked challenges, liked to feel challenged.
When they hired you a few months ago, Lewis was having a rough time. The 2016 season was controversial and the Mercedes drivers were involved in a huge battle for the world championship. Nico Rosberg had the win, but it cost a lot. The German driver couldn’t deal with the pressure and decided to retire right after his win. And, Lewis, well. He was a relentless pilot, that was a fact. Aggressive, technical, dominant. One of the best on track. But outside of them, he was still seen as a somewhat controversial figure. He was that kind of person you either loved or hated. There was no middle ground. He sometimes talked too much in interviews. Spit all his feelings, let people know more than they need to. And when you’re a famous person, it’s dangerous. People can’t know that much about you.
So your duty was to clean up his image. Make him the idol that Mercedes wanted to build. You accepted that challenge. You felt capable enough to do that. And there you are.
The race in Baku had not ended well. In fact, quite the opposite had happened. Lewis was leading the race by a huge margin and was on track to beat Sebastian Vettel, his main opponent that year. However, while waiting for the safety car to leave, the rear of the Mercedes car was hit full-on by the red car. As if that wasn't enough, Sebastian even hit Hamilton one more time, when they were side by side. Even with all the damage, Lewis managed to finish in fifth place. It had been a great run of recovery and damage containment, but he was extremely dissatisfied. One thing led to another, and he ended up saying countless things he shouldn't have during the interview. And it made you extremely angry.
You were used to it. She was used to fixing things, putting out the flames Lewis lit. Used to handle it well, kept calm. But today, that had crossed all limits. You guys had a damage containment schedule, he knew what to say when this kind of unexpected thing happened. But he just decided to forget all about it and said whatever stupid shit made him look like a damn rockie. You wanted to yell at him, call him deplorable names. In many other moments you also felt this urge. But nothing compared to what he felt this time. Maybe it was the heat of Baku. You didn't like the hot weather. It just made you more stressed.
But you couldn't put him in his place right there, in front of all the media. You knew better than that. She was smarter than he was, after all. Then, right after the press conference was over, you escorted him to his motorhome, as you always did. Side by side, walking together. Both serious, carrying your own frustrations.
He went in first, leaving the door open for you. He wasn’t a gentleman, you thought. But you accepted the invitation. You went through the door like a hurricane and slammed it shut. So much force that a loud noise echoed through the walls of the motorhome, startling the driver.
“Are you crazy?” The driver asks, turning his head to look at you properly.
“I should be asking that question, don't you think? Are YOU crazy?” The words came out from my lips, roughly, accusatory. He give you a sinister laugh in response. You don’t like the sound of it.
“Look, that fucker literally hit me. I should be the winner of that shit race and instead I end P5. Vettel is still the leader. I'm so fucking pissed off, you don’t even know”. He laughs again, this time louder than before. You realized that this was something common with him. He used to laugh whenever he was nervous about something. “So what the hell do you expect me to say? That I'm oh so happy to be P5 when I could win the fucking race?”
“I expected you to say what we agreed before?” You gesture with your hands. Can't understand how someone like him, who's been in the spotlight for so many years, can't answer the media's questions without giving them ammunition.
He doesn't answer you. That was another thing about him. He just ignored people so he wouldn't continue arguing. You were already used to it. But then, he started taking off his Mercedes white shirt, the toned abdomen now visible, the dark lines of the tattoos decorating his body. Getting ready to finally leave, go back to the hotel, rest a bit before fly back home.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Taking off my clothes?”  He answers like it's obvious.
“Now? In front of me? Right when we're fighting?”
"Don't act like you've never seen it before." - He says, a naughty smile painting his lips. You ignore the weird shiver that runs down his spine when he looks at you like that. "And you are fighting. Alone. I'm not fighting with you. For what it matters, I don't give a fuck to any of this. My image. What the media will say. What you are saying. I don't fucking care."
You shake your head in disbelief after hearing Lewis' words. How could anyone be so selfish? Egocentric?
"Want to know? Fuck you Lewis! Fuck. You." You say, upset. You turn your back to Lewis and start walking toward the door in quick, precise steps. Feel his eyes on you during the process. Don't want to be in that tiny cubicle anymore. Can no longer breathe the same air as that man. But when you put one of your hands on the doorknob, you realize something is wrong. The handle does not turn as it should. It looks stuck.
"Ugh, what is the problem with this door? Fuck!" You mumble. Low enough that the rider thinks you're talking to yourself, but loud enough that he hears and comes to your aid. You had your pride, after all. You wouldn't ask him for help even if I needed it to live.
"So stubborn and can't even open a fucking door. What a joke!" He complains but you hear his footsteps, walking towards you. Seconds later, he's behind you. His bare chest inches from your back, one arm outstretched, his hand on the doorknob. You're practically cornered by him. You hold your breath.
"Fuck! This shit is broken. Fucking hell." He says, his deep voice in your neck makes you shiver. In all these months, you've never been this close. It makes your body behave in a strange way, but you try to ignore it. Focus on the problem you need to deal with right now. You're stuck in the motorhome with Lewis. You need to find a way to get out of here.
"I can't believe I'm stuck here. With you." Your voice comes out as a moan, anguished, anxious to get out of that place soon. You'd  always hated the feeling of being trapped. That's why you used to avoid elevators. And while the motorhome had ample space, Lewis’ presence made it a smaller square than the elevator. And it made you panic.
"You talk like it's not your fault. You're the one who broke the fucking door."
He scoffs, hands still on the doorknob. His body is still close to yours. You turn around at his words. His face is mere inches from yours. You could feel his rhythmic breathing, could see his face perfectly. The pretty contour of the nose, his perfectly plucked eyebrows, bright brown eyes, all the details of his face exposed to you. But what caught your attention the most were his lips. Full, lower lips the same size as the upper ones. Perfect. For a few moments, you imagine what it would be like to kiss him. Would he be dominating, aggressive, just like he was on the tracks? Or would he let you take control?
You shake your head, try to banish those thoughts from your mind. Try to focus on the situation in front of you.
"Why are you always looking for a way to blame other people, huh? What the hell, why do you always do this? Why do you always blame me?"
The phrases come out of your mouth quickly, without thinking enough before saying them. They've been in you for a while and you’ve been waiting for so long to say it to the driver. Thought this was the right time to spit it out. They didn't make much sense right now. In the end of it all, the handle was broken because you used all your strength to close the door. Too tightly. But you didn't want to think about it. Just wanted to hurt him the same way he hurted you. But your thoughts and your words are abruptly interrupted. Lewis' lips were glued to yours. He was kissing you.
You felt like your whole world stopped. At that moment, all that mattered was the fact that his lips was against yours. He wasn't soft at all, in fact his contact was extremely dominating, strong. It suited him. He parted your lips, his tongue finally dipping, exploring your mouth intensely as his hands slowly roamed your back. He pulled you to him, and seemed eager to take all of you completely. One of his hands gripped the back of your neck tightly, forcing you to stand there and feel everything his lips were willing to give. The other roamed around your waist, holding that region possessively, pressing your body on his. A moan escape from your lips, and it makes him even more ferocious. Your hands, still shy and trembling, reach his shoulders and you decide to leave them there. Feeling his muscles move in your fingers. The sensation is delicious and consumes every bit of you. Your head spun out of control, the feel of his body strong against mine was overwhelming, intoxicating.
You always thought those “enemies to lovers” romances were silly, something that could never happen outside of the books pages. But in that small room in a motorhome, surrounded by Lewis’s scent and taste, you could see a little bit of truth in those romances. The sudden fights, the sexual tension that hung in the air, the strange desire that took over your body. All those silly cliches coming to life right before your eyes.
When the air is no longer present between you two, Lewis pulls away minimally, just enough for both of you to catch your breath. His lips are still softly touching yours and now both of his hands are on your face, holding you gently. His eyes meet yours and you feel your entire body combust in that moment. There is so much lust, so much desire there and it makes all your senses disappear.
"If I only knew that all I needed to do to shut that dirty little mouth of yours was kiss you.” He pauses, lets his head drop to the level of your neck. Breathes your scent, leaves wet kisses on your skin. You moan once more, completely surrendered to him. Completely at his mercy. "I would have kissed you sooner." He finishes looking you into your eyes again, lingering. But then he's looking at your lips. They were probably red and swollen from his kisses. His lips twisted into a smirk. The one he always gave after saying something bold or after winning one of your usual arguments.
You roll your eyes to him. You should go away from him. Try to open the door again. Yell for someone of the team and ask for help. But you just can't. There's something that makes it impossible for you to simply go away. Maybe it was his smell, so strong and intoxicating. You would never admit it out loud, but you found his scent fascinating, addictive. Even after spending hours in a racing car, he still smelled oh so good. But maybe it wasn’t his smell. Maybe it was his kisses, so demanding that you knew he could do anything he wanted from you. Or maybe it was his hot body against yours. All solid like a rock, muscles carefully built with years of workout smacking your small body. In the end of it all, maybe it was a combination of all of it with the months of sexual tension and mutual desire hidden by your daily fights. That was making you crazy. But you don't want to overthink it. Just tell him to shut up and kiss his soft lips again.
His hands sneak down to the back of your legs. A request for you to jump up and wrap them around his waist. You obey and promptly comply his request. A moan escaped his lips when he felt your hot pussy against his needy, throbbing cock. Even through the clothes he could feel how needy you were, how much you wanted it. Without taking his mouth away from yours, he walks with you in his arms to the small gray sofa that occupied the central area of the motorhome room. He sits there with you in his arms. Kiss your lips in a hungry way again and again. Trace the line of your neck with his tongue. Let soft kisses there. Mumble naughty things in your ear. You feel that at any moment your body is going to catch fire. Every move he makes, every gesture seems to be minimally calculated. Specially designed to set you on fire.
You move slowly in his lap, feeling the hardness of his length against your pussy. Your panties were already soaked. Your juices are leaking through the fabric and running down between your thighs. You suspected it was staining the black pants he was wearing, but he didn't seem to mind.
For the first time he pulls away from you, giving you just enough room to pull the Mercedes shirt off your body. You feel embarrassed when his intense gaze falls on his breasts, now fully exposed to him. You had let go of bras a few years ago, you didn't feel the need to wear them anymore. But in that moment you regret your choices, when he drank the view exposed to him. He looked mesmerized. His face comes closer to your body again, he leaves a trail of kisses from your neck down to your breasts. "You're perfect". he murmurs against your skin. "Fucking perfect." And you feel your stomach tighten. You feel confident again, like you're the most beautiful and powerful woman in the world. His praise sends all your insecurities away. It makes you even wetter, as if that were possible.
When his hands reached your breasts, you were sure that you had died and arrived in paradise. His big hands enveloped it, taking up all the volume. His long fingers brushed your nipples, immediately hardening them. "You like that, don't you? My little whore." Nodding your head, you arched your back, pushing your breasts against his hands, giving him greater access to your body. His hands didn't take long to accept your  offer. Lewis massaged your breasts slowly, making you sigh, moan his name, ask for more. At that moment, your eyes were closed, but you were pretty sure he was smiling. Could feel it. Bastard.
So intoxicated you were by the pleasure he was giving you, that you don't even notice when one of his hands leaves your breast and then his lips enclose your right nipple, drawing a loud moan from you. You lose track of time. You don't know where you are anymore. The only thing that goes through your mind are the sensations Lewis is making you feel. You need to hold back when he repeats the movements on your left breast or you'll end up coming just from it. How can a man be that good?
With your left breast on his lips, Lewis slides one hand down your legs, until he reaches the hem of your black skirt. He doesn't think twice before taking it out off your body, leaving you half naked for him, only the damp fabric of your panties covers your body now.
Unfortunately for you, Lewis leaves your breast, but doesn't leave you in misery for long. The man lets out a loud groan as his fingers make contact with your wet pussy still covered by your panties. He takes it off of your body easily, his hot finger finally in contact with your needy folds.
"Holy shit, baby, you’re dripping… soaking up my fingers." He gently pressed your clit, massaging slowly before sliding two of his fingers inside of your heat. Your lips parted as a moan left your body. Your hadn't been this wet in your entire life. When he starts moving his fingers quickly, in and out of your pussy, you lose control, feel completely dizzy. "Wet like this for someone you hate that much?"
A million different sensations passed through your body, spreading from each  point where Lewis was touching you. The way he thrust his fingers into you or how he kissed your breasts and your neck. Everything was so intense that you couldn't hold back for long, and in a moment of euphoria, you came on his fingers, your body shaking so intensely that Lewis had to let go of your right breast to hold your waist tightly. You muttered nonsense words, moaned his name out loud, not caring if one of the many employees passing by would hear you. His fingers continued to work furiously on your sodden pussy, sliding in a rhythm so overwhelming it had you screaming.
"You look so much prettier like this, you know? Totally under my control, coming just for me."
When he finally seems to take pity on your exhausted state, his fingers leave your pulsing center. You breathe hard, consumed by the pleasure he was giving to you. But one movement catches your eye. Lewis's wet fingers reached his lips and then he started licking them. Licking your cum, your taste from his fingers. You've never seen anything so sexy before. "You're so fucking sweet" He said. Eyes glued to yours as he licks his fingers clean. "Even more than I imagined." Oh so he had imagined it before?
He closed his eyes as he spoke, as if he were savoring your taste, delighting in it. That was so hot. You couldn't articulate a decent answer to that. But your hands began to work. You slipped them down to the waistband of his pants, opening the zip and palming his hard bulge. You felt his body shudder under your touch. Realizing that made you feel an overwhelming need to make him feel as much pleasure as he was making you feel.
You hesitated for a moment. Your fingers stopped at the waistband of the black jeans he wore. You looked up at his face, finding his brown eyes glaring at you, pleading, eager for your next move. With that look, you felt something light. You felt powerful there, on top of him, setting the pace. He was at your mercy now. And you were enjoying it. "Tell me what you want Lewis" Your voice is steady, your eyes glued to his. Fingers hovering over the fabric of his pants. He moans your name under his breath, the pleading tone dripping into his voice. He has his pride, he would never plead with you. He just thrusts his hips into your hands, making you feel how hard he is. For you.
You give up any verbal pleading on his part. You already had control.  Didn't need anything else. Finally you slid down his pants and underwear, all at only one time, making his hard dick bounce, hovering in his lower abdomen. See it took your breath away. Your eyes widened at the sight of Lewis's cock, big and thick, throbbing against his skin. Protruding veins covering his entire length. His red and moist tip was covered in his pre-cum. That was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen.
Your fingers circled him, giving him a soft stroke. A strangled moan emerged from Lewis' lips. “Fuck, this feels so good." You stroked him once more, this time with a bit more of strength and savored the feel of his big dick between your fingers, the soft skin and the hardness of his member, throbbing under your touch. You think about how good his heaviness would feel on your tongue. Get ready to be on your knees in front of him. Want to taste him on your lips. When you move to get off his lap, Lewis sighs and holds you down.
Grabbing your hair, Lewis gently pulled it, pressure enough to make you moan. "So eager to have my cook in that filthy mouth of yours, huh?" He asked, his lips hovering close to yours. "I will let you gag on my cook, baby. But not now. Now I need to feel that tight pussy around me."  God. All the blood in your body has pooled in your center, your wet cunt pulsing and piercing every one of your senses.
You feel your entire body getting hot, in an almost feverish state. Can't wait any longer, so you just take matters into your own hands. Hold his throbbing cock in your hands and masturbate his length slowly, drawing a groan from him. Positioned your body so that your dripping entrance is hovering over his cock. Pass his swollen tip through your entrance one, two, three times until Lewis loses his patience and grip your hips tightly, making you slide his length, taking all of him.
It is so overwhelming that you lose your breath for a few seconds. He's so big and so thick and fill you up so well that you lose all your senses. You swallow hard. Feel him pulsing inside of you, just as needy as you. It was all too much but at the same time it seemed too little. You wanted to feel more of him, you needed to feel more of him. With that, you started moving your hips slowly, trying to feel every single inch of him. The way he fit you so perfectly made it seem like he was built exclusively for you, to give you pleasure.  How could you live so long without feeling this?
“Shit, baby, you’re so tight” Lewis whines, his head falling over the back of the sofa. You look at his face and just that sight seems to be enough to make you come. Eyes closed, cheeks flushed and mouth slightly open, moaning your name over and over again. He looked helpless there, completely at your mercy. You were in control. “So warm and so fucking tight.”
You placed both hands on his neck, using it for support to ride him faster, harder. You watched his eyes widen at your act, a strangled moan leaving his lips.
"You like that, don't you? You like being my little toy? Being used exclusively for my pleasure turns you on, huh?" You say mockingly, taking advantage of the vulnerable state of that man who was normally so dominant. He groans shamelessly, enjoying the feeling of your warm walls around him, strangling his cock. Seeing him like this, so helpless, desperate to take everything you were willing to give, set you on fire. You wanted to hold back more, you wanted to make him beg, to make him come first, but you couldn't. The feel of his cock touching the deepest points of your wet pussy was too much. You couldn't help it.
You swallow hard, feel your pussy getting tighter and tighter around his cock as your movements start to be slower, clumsy. Everything comes at once. An overwhelming pleasure takes you off the ground and makes you lose your sense of reality. It feels like a dream. This couldn't be real, it was too good to be. You moan his name over and over, can't stop repeating it, sounding like a mantra in your mouth.
Still sailing the waves of pleasure, you feel Lewis' hands move up your back, now extremely sweaty, until they reach the back your neck. He holds you tight, makes you look at him. The dark eyes stare at you lustfully, as if you're something precious. He kisses you intensely, takes your breath away before he holds your jaw.
"Did I let you do that? Did I let you come?" There he was, the dominant, controlling man. You smiled, still inert, feeling the effects of your recent orgasm. “Answer me. Did I let you come?”
“I didn't know I needed your permission to do it.” You smile again, enjoy that power game.
“Oh you didn't know huh? Such a whore, aren't you? I will teach you a lesson and you will never, never disobey me anymore.” With that, he gripped the back of your neck tightly again before move his other hand to have a good hold of your ass, hugging your body completely. You gasp when he starts thrusting up, fast and hard. With the new angle, you can feel his cock touching deep points inside of you, points that have never been hit before. You are still sensitive from your recent orgasm, you won't last long this time.
“Oh shit! You're so fucking deep. It's so good, fuck!”
“Yeah? You like it rough, don’t you?” He asks, even though he knows the answer. He knows you're loving it, intoxicated by every little detail of it. He can feel by the way you’re clenching hard around him. By the way you’re moaning his name shamelessly, not caring about the people walking outside and probably listening to the whole show. Completely dick drunk and obsessed with the way he fucks you. But, he want to hear it from you. His big hands slap your ass, making your eyes widen. "I asked you a question. Answer me"
“Yeah, I love when you fuck me like that, baby. It’s so fucking good, you’re gonna make me come again” You whimper, running your hands through his short beard, feeling the rough hairs on your fingers. Kiss him on the mouth one more time, make him swallow your loud moans and start to move in the same rhythm as him. You want to feel him coming too.
“You can come baby. Squeeze my dick one more time, love. I want to feel it again.” He murmurs against your cheek, kisses your skin before moving his lips down to your neck, never slowing the insane pace he’s moving his hips. You moan in relief and, with his permission, come once more, soaking his cock in your juices. Nothing could overcome that feeling. It was destructive, addictive.
“Lewis, fuck! I can't take it anymore, I can't” He laughed when he heard you whimpering. The tables turned again and now you were helpless, reduced to a whimpering mess. With one swift movement, he flipped you over on the small couch, as if you weighed nothing. He maneuvered your body so that he was on top now, hovering over you. That sight made you dizzy, weak. See him like this, sweaty, so strong on top of you, moving fast. He looked so composed, like he wasn't making any effort. This couldn't be real. You were probably dreaming.
Lewis didn't slow down, however. He continued to fuck you even harder, he never seemed to get tired. You've been with a few men in your life, but none of them have been like that. None of them prioritized your pleasure, none of them were so relentless. Without realizing it, that feeling took over your body again and then you were coming again. It wasn't possible.
“Yes, you fucking can. That's what you wanted, isn't it? Cum around my dick, huh? I wanna feel you fucking dripping.” He states, moving one of his hands to your neck, squeezing. You struggle to keep your eyes open but you feel the need to watch that moment. Want to remember him like this forever. Sweat trickling down his strong body, highlighting the many tattoos he has. The way his muscles moved each time he moved his hips back and forth. Lips parted, pupils dilated. He seemed like some kind of God, sent to earth especially to take away your peace and at the same time to make you achieve it.
Watching him carefully you notice him changing the rhythm of the thrusts, sometimes slower, sometimes a bit faster, slamming his hips relentlessly against yours. Sometimes his eyes would close and he would take a deep breath, you knew he was trying to control himself. He was just as vulnerable as you were, just as off-limits as you were.
“I will make you cum around my cock again, my little whore. You will fucking cum again and again and again. Until you can't stand on your legs. Until this pretty pussy of yours be sore.” His words had an effect on you. Again, you felt your body come apart, now beneath him. The pleasure was so violent that it made you feel a strange pressure in your abdomen, more overwhelming than the previous ones. Unlike anything you've ever felt in your life. Unable to stop yourself, you squirted on him, drenching him completely. That seemed to feed him, made him even more ruthless. You were so sensitive that any little stimulation was overwhelming. Pleasure and pain mixed together. If he didn't have mercy on you now you were sure you would die.
“Please, Lew, come for me. Come inside me. I need to feel it, I need to feel you. Please.” You beg your hands gently running up and down his cheeks. The pleasure made you so careless, so out of your mind, it was impossible to contain that desire. You were always controlled, careful. You never allowed a man to come inside you, you didn't like to take risks. But at that moment, you needed it. It was an uncontrollable desire. You felt like you would faint if he didn't pour it on you.
That was not common for him either. It went completely against the careful behavior he always had. But he can't help it. Your hot, wet pussy, squeezing him mercilessly was pulling him to do it. When he heard it from your mouth, asking so gently, so needy. That was the end, he couldn't contain himself.
“Fuck, I’m coming. Mhmm, milk my cock, baby. Take all of it” He muttered before finally pouring himself into you. A deep, high-pitched groan tore from his throat. Your name. His hot seed painting your walls. You did as you were told, squeezing your pussy around him until he had completely emptied his load in you. It made you feel complete in an indescribable way. It was too much to explain.
After that, his body collapsed on top of yours, wrapping his strong arms around your body as if he needed that to live. You accepted and returned the gesture, hugging him too. It felt so natural, laying there, completely naked, hugging him, in a circle of completeness that neither of you could ever understand. You hated each other a few hours ago and now you were here, sharing such an intimate moment. It was weird. But then again, you didn't want to overthink about it. So you choose to live the moment and enjoyed it as much as you could.
You didn't know exactly how long you stayed there, laying together, silent, just contemplating your existence together, but you know exactly the moment that woke both of you. His cock still hard inside of you, pulsing, begging him to move again. It was unbelievable, that man couldn't be real. Did he not get tired?
As if reading your thoughts, he chuckled, before lifting himself a little and moving his hips again, slow and careful, drawing a groan from you.
“Are you insatiable? My God” You protest sounds more like a groan than anything else.
He laughs again, that endearing laugh, looking like a kid who's been caught doing something he shouldn't. He knew he'd impressed you and he liked it. "You have not seen anything yet" With that he kisses you deeply, starts moving faster, uses his own cum to make you more slippery, more malleable.
"Lewis? Are you there?"
Angela's voice echoes off the cramped walls of the motorhome, pulling you both out of the wild bubble you've been in. Your eyes instantly widen and for some reason you can't even move. Nervousness consumes you completely and the only thing you can do is watch Lewis, stunned. You silently ask him to do something, to quickly get off of you and tell Angela some lie, but he doesn't. In fact, all he does is continue moving his hips slowly, thrusting gently into your wet pussy. You can't believe the boldness of that man. He certainly was crazy. And maybe you were even more because you were enjoying it. You were enjoying it way too much.
“Yes, Ang.” He answers. Pause to watch you. Move his hips once more. Can't stop his movements even if he wanted to. Being engulfed in your warm walls is just too good to stop now. And besides that, he finds it cute to see you struggling to contain your groans. “Yeah, I'm here.”
“Are you ok, Lew?” She asks. Her voice was unsure. Of course she thinks the whole situation is way too strange. In normal conditions Lewis would quickly open the door for her. His sore muscles asking for her magic hands to give him some sense of relaxation after all the stress he has been exposed to. But not today. Today he was receiving another kind of recovery treatment.
“Yeah. Yeah, I'm ok. Just...give me five minutes and I'll meet you in my room to stretch a bit before the meeting.”
“Ok, I will see you then!” You know she’s still thinking it’s a bit weird, but she doesn’t push it.
After you hear the physical therapist's footsteps walking away from the motorhome entrance, you push Lewis' body off of you, sighing at the loss of contact, making him fall onto the couch. His face contorts, a mixture of confusion and dissatisfaction. You shake your head, laughing. That man was crazy. Did he really expect you to stay there all day? “We need to go back to work” You say, casually, as if you weren't doing anything wrong just minutes ago.
You get up from the couch but your legs give out and for a moment you think you're going to fall on your knees in front of him. You pray to God that this doesn't happen because if it does you will never get out of that motorhome again. Luckily Lewis' big hands grip the back of your thighs. It keeps you steady on your feet. “I got you” He says, a playful smile on his face. You can’t help but smile for him again. You don't know how long you stood there, facing him and smiling. Good sex really makes people silly, you think.
You escape from his touch quickly, still naked. Walking bewildered through the small space of the motorhome, trying to find your lost clothes on the floor. You inhale and exhale to calm yourself, but ends up being flooded by the scent of sex that hung in the air. Yeah, maybe breathing wasn't the best idea at the moment.
He watches you closely, doesn't move. Still sitting on the couch, beautifully naked. His cock, still hard, rests on the smooth skin of his abdomen. He seems to be oblivious to reality. And you're not much different. Your movements are lost, clumsy. You should yell at him. Insult him and expect him to insult you back. Start a fight. Follow the common routine you've developed over the past few months. But you can't. And neither does he. The atmosphere between you seems calmer, lighter. You strangely expect it to stay that way.
"Will you leave me here? Like this?"
He asks, finally. Lewis gestures with his hands, signaling his cock, painfully hard and throbbing, clamoring for your attention. You want nothing more than to be on your knees for him, cover him in your saliva, choke on his thick length. But you can’t. Have been too reckless today. You are already fully dressed, the Mercedes uniform covering your body perfectly. But beneath the dark-colored clothes, your skin is sweaty, clammy. Lewis's masculine scent permeated every part of you. His cum dripping down your panties. You try to not think about it.
"I need to work." You answer, slowly. "I need to fix the mess you've made." Maybe it seems you’re accusing him, but your tone is playful and you’re laughing. Your daily provocation game is taking a new tone. That was good. “And we need to find a way to open the damn door” You say, almost forgot the broken door. Secretly, you were thanking the gods for making that door break. Without it, none of this would have happened. Maybe your life would be easier if none of this had happened, but what's the fun of it?
Lewis only nods but when his mouth twitches into a mischievous smile, you know he’s in the game already. He starts moving, picks up his own clothes, puts them on slowly as you try to arrange your curls. You smile at each other during the process. When both of you are fully clothed, he kisses you intensely, gives a slight slap on your ass. Smile at you again. Maybe wild sex was all you needed to finally stop acting like two silly kids, you think.

Do you maybe know if there are articles with the reactions of younger drivers to max coming into f1? Like maybe what drivers like esteban, pierre, alex, charles or even like george were thinking at that time. I'm just really curious to know what the younger Gen of drivers (especially esteban since he won the previous championship) were saying when they saw one of their peers in a f1 car, winning in an f1 car, before they were even on the grid.
Thats a fun question!! idk if I went looking for it the right way but well here u go. 😽🌼
Just somethign to keep in mind is that teen athletes are literally being held at gunpoint at all times by somebody whose sole job is to make sure everybody likes them and they're like thee most employable people in the world. So they wont exactly come out and say how they feel in that moment u shud prolly look to older drivers or mentors or pundits for that. Also Reddit is down and that’s usually where u can find some real juicy and biased one liners without context. The real stuff yk.
Ok so in 2015/2016 I think all Esteban said when asked was that Max had become his 'reference point' and that he hoped to join Max in f1 and ‘eventually beat him’. But something he's admitted since then is that Max's f1 debut was 'difficult to swallow' because he was the one who was winning in f3 and yet Max got the invite. I think Esteban understands why and ultimately he used Max's achievement as motivation, and still does. Last year he called Max a ‘shining example of their generation of drivers’ which I thought was very beautiful.
Baby sharls declarations to the media on the other hand are literally just chatgp wid a mortal conscience. No fr. In 2014 he called Max a 'formidable rival' and said competing wid Max 'builds character' and 'multiple crashes wid Max on track gave him 'additional experience’ in his career. Also ‘coming within 2 seconds of Max Verstappen in KTM was exceptional’. 😭 bro had that experience section LOCKED he wasn’t taking any chances. George I couldn’t find any quotes from that year but George has always had a backhanded type of media game he likes to play wid Verstappen that imo, is very insecure and boring. Last year he said that Max was ‘very patient wid Red Bull’ because in ‘5 years he only won won like 8 races’ and now this season he’s won ‘like 15’. Even tho he ‘deserved to fight for titles sooner’ he didn’t have a ‘championship car’ and now he does so he can. Remarkable. George later adds to this completely unprompted that maybe if Max had ‘signed wid merc first’ and gotten Lewis Hamilton for a teammate’ he wudnt have had such an ‘easy time’ and maybe his career wud resemble George’s more. I have nothing to say to this because I’m an incredibly mature person and it’s pride month. I will instead take a sip of water and listen to my gf snore and wonder what nick latifi is doing. If hes happy.
Now here is where we’re gonna put the Max Generational Limit because the following drivers are all at least 2 years older than Max and had their careers inadvertently shaped by helmut putting an underage child in a f1 car.
So Daniil Kvyat as u can imagine wasn’t exactly ✨thrilled ✨ considering max went on to steal his seat ((and his baby mama.😐😐)). When asked about the mid season swap wid Max he said, ‘I don't know, 18 years old is probably on the edge. But who can say? It is his seat now and it is up to him to do something with it’. To Kvyats credit Max did do something wid it lmfao. He has also recently talked about rbr ‘stabbing him in the back’ and that he wishes he could’ve ‘competed wid Max in equal machinery’ in toro rosso which is funny to me because the mf who did that also got beat for the rbr seat. 😐
Carlos unfortunately suffered from the incurable Max Rivalry disease that has affected 1 in 100 drivers in the world is highly contagious and symptoms include: hallucinations, helmut marko hate crimes, possible mclaren implications. In 2014 while helmut was reshaping pediatric care under the guise of a ‘Junior Programme’ and floating the idea of signing Max because he’s literally allergic to not giving everybody the tea all the time Carlos immediately said he ‘deserved the rbr seat more than Max’ because ‘Max was third in his championship and was beat by another rookie’ ((ESTEBAN MENTION)) and Carlos was ‘the level above that’ which I presume is like Jesus. So ok he wasn’t. That’s fine, it happens, its the disease. Pierre. I don’t care for Pierre he was terminal.
Finally, Alex. Again I literally couldn’t find any direct quote from 2014-2016 about Max but in 2020 Alex said even in karting max was already ‘the young guy to beat’. He’s also made some infamous comments about the way rbr builds their cars that he’s had to backtrack and explain so many times and I kinda feel bad for him because he’s sm bigger than his time wid Red Bull it shouldn’t even matter anymore. However. He did give us this sexy quote on verstappen’s untamable big nosed twin: ‘And when I got into the Red Bull … I mean there was so much nose on the thing that if you blew on the wheel the car would turn. If you play Call of Duty, or a game like that, turn your sensitivity up to the highest it will go. That’s what it’s like to drive that car’ 😋

Excuse me “Carlos was ahead of Charles last year”??? You do realise Charles got p2 in the wdc in 2022 right? P3 was checo. Charles was leading the wdc at the beginning of the season that year. Until max and rb got their car together and overtook them in the standings.
Yes Carlos might have been the only non rb winner last season but other drivers said that you can drive significantly slower than the rest of the pack and still lead because they can’t overtake. And that happened in Singapore. And if Singapore would have suited the rb19 max or checo would have won that race too.
Carlos was only ahead of Charles at the beginning of 2023 because Charles had lots of issues with his car. Non driver related issues. Ferrari had to change his pu or something after the first race in Bahrain because the car wasn’t working at all. Charles had a penalty through Ferrari in the second race in Jeddah. Charles had lots of bad luck over this season. He had dnf, dns and dsq. All in one season. Carlos had a dns and a dnf. Carlos got null points in 4 races while Charles got zero in 6 races.
It’s not a good look for Carlos to still fall behind Charles in the standings when he scored points in more races.
Carlos would never be allowed in the same team again as max. There is a reason max was promoted to red bull mid season in 2016. And that reason as well as his talent were the tension and fights in toro Rosso between sainzs’ and verstappens’. And there would be the same problem as in Ferrari for Carlos. Carlos likes the opposite of max. And red bull will do anything to make the car amazing for max.
I don’t think Carlos’ fans want him to be absolutely humiliated by max as a team mate. They are already throwing a fit when Charles fans aren’t appreciating their star driver.
Carlos would have a similar season like checo and everyone was talking about how humiliating last season was for him when he was argumentatively in the best car. There was a fight for p2 still until shortly before the season ended because check kept on screwing up. Carlos’a season would look similar to checos season last year because they have a similar driving style.
Did you miss that Charles has one five races? 3 of them in 2022? He got a grand slam as well that season.
And no that’s not the difference between them. By the way did you know that Carlos is racist as well? Said some things about Chinese people in particular.
Oh and Carlos is a nepo driver. He got his seat in toro Rosso because Carlos sainz senior is sponsored by red bull. Carlos was constantly rumoured to Audi because guess what. His father drivers for them. Carlos got most of his things in formula 1 handed to him by his fathers connections.
Charles on the other hand doesn’t have that. Hell jos verstappen praised his talent back in karting and was reportedly saying Charles would make it to f1 one day.
To compare Charles and Lewis in the last two seasons: Charles managed to win 3 races in those two seasons. How many did Lewis win since 2021? Right, none. How many races did max win in 2022 and 2023? 34. How many did Carlos win? 2. Those odds favour the new Ferrari duo massively. Yes Lewis has 7 titles I’m not forgetting that. But just looking at the facts that if you add up the points of Charles and Lewis from 2022 and 2023 Charles beat Lewis as well. Meanwhile max became world champion in those seasons and beat every other driver. Meanwhile Carlos was beaten by all three mentioned drivers. Not a good argument for him.
And let’s not forget this sport is absolutely brutal. And the news of Lewis to Ferrari was leaked and every team involved kind of had to announce what was happening.
And did not something similar to this happen when Carlos signed with Ferrari?
And it’s interesting how many rumours about Charles have been made up from Spanish press. Meanwhile no other countries journalists have started rumours about Carlos like the Spanish do about Charles. I also heard that the news got leaked to the Italian press about Carlos leaving by Spanish media. Makes you wonder doesn’t it? So many things got broken by Spanish media because their sources are either the saint family directly or people close to them. Meanwhile other drivers and their personal teams don’t leak anything to the media.
Not to forget that sainz senior tried putting pressure on Ferrari by talking about how Carlos will leave the team for Audi soon enough. He said that in interviews.
Oh and Carlos never was a team player. He always did things he thought would benefit him. He screwed over Charles multiple times. Even when he was told they are team orders. While Charles complied to them and even did things to benefit Carlos. He never got the same sentiment back. Carlos is a selfish driver and just because the radios of him basically calling out Ferrari and telling them to shove their pit stop in that moment are funny, doesn’t mean he gets his own strategy right. As his fans like to say Carlos is a better strategist than the people on the pit wall. If they truly would be as stupid and incompetent as all fans say, they would have long lost their jobs. I’m not saying they never screw up, but if they were truly as bad at their job they would have long been fired.
And well all this talk about Carlos might leave Ferrari and goes to Audi and the pressure the sainz family tried to put on Ferrari through that was enough for the team and they basically said if you have other teams that want him, fine you can join them! He won’t give him a new contract.
And to be honest my problem with Carlos is his attitude and that he thinks he is the second coming of Christ.

2016 season summary
Alright let’s get the general stuff out the way first because we all know this is mainly gonna be about brocedes anyway.
General stuff :
First of all F1 really fucked up with trying to change quali and with the incredibly stupid radio ban. Also they’ve been sold to Liberty media so you know things are gonna change.
At the start of the season Ferrari looks pretty good but they’re not winning the development war. For RedBull : there’s the controversial swap with Max making it into the A-Team after just 4 races. The relationship between Daniel and Max is interesting. There’s a clear time when you can tell Ricciardo starts feeling threatened by the kid. They’re getting closer and closer to Mercedes as well. And of course there’s literally a whole rule added by Charlie because of how Max drives, i.e. dangerously.
Okay now let’s get to the main topic, brocedes :
Look. It’s gonna be difficult to write this because what hasn’t been written about it already? I’m not gonna have a smarter or original thing to say, so I guess all I can do is give my own outlook on things.
First of all, I do agree Nico probably would not have won a title if it wasn’t for Lewis’ bad luck. But it doesn’t actually matter. Luck is part of the sport. In 2015, Nico was the unlucky one out of the two. That’s just how it is : you need a good driver in a good car with a good strategy but if your driver is unlucky none of it counts.
Reliability is also not the only problem Lewis faces that season. Because of it and because of the mechanics swap (which imo was a very poor managerial decision btw, way too radical), he gets very very deep in his head. Adaptability is truly not his best trait, to this day. He’s very unhappy about the swap, and then he gets paranoid with the reliability issues, even suggesting some conspiracy theory at some point (Malaysia - and yeah I absolutely do not believe the official Merc version that he was alluding to a higher power rather than someone sabotaging him). He just can’t get over himself, not that it would have changed much of anything to his engine repeatedly failing.
Thus, Lewis’ self-narration progressively goes from “I’m heroically battling the odds and not giving up” to “he’s only winning because I had reliability issues” when it becomes clear he’s only gonna beat Nico through actual divine intervention. He’s absolutely unable to recognize Nico’s work. Even after Nico has won, he keeps saying “I don’t wanna take anything away from him, he did everything he had to this year BUT”. And he just can’t let go of that “but”. He says it every single time. He can’t accept that he lost, or maybe he can’t accept that Nico won. I know I keep saying it but once again : Nico won against someone he saw as better than him, and Lewis lost to someone who he saw as not as good as he is. And he can’t accept it. And that’s why to this day, Nico is able to talk freely about their rivalry and about Lewis, and Lewis can’t.
And – sorry for this personal vendetta but yes, I’m gonna mention it – the funny thing about this is, Lewis early on in the season (Bahrain GP) said in an interview that the issue with racing now is that drivers get coaches when psychologists just mess with your mind and they don’t need all that. Meanwhile Nico credited part of what allowed him to win that year to working “extremely intensely” with a sport psychologist. So. Yeah. Just saying. Maybe if he worked with a psychologist he wouldn’t have gotten that paranoid but who knows. Anyway, moving on. This really isn’t Lewis’ best year. That’s probably the least likeable I’ve seen him. And I understand why some people saw him as arrogant. Because he fucking is. (Doesn’t matter btw, I love a cocky asshole, but it’s honest to mention it I think.)
I’m absolutely fascinated with Nico’s departure as well. We’ve talked about it a bit in the last review but of course I’m gonna talk about it again. Right when I started watching the brocedes era for this rewatch (which, again, up to this point isn’t really a rewatch but a watch), I mentioned that being in this fandom without actually having seen it with my own two eyes gave me the very wrong picture of what it was like. Nico has been demonised a lot by Lewis’ fans, and I don’t think most of it was justified. I also think a lot of newer fans interpret the story with the current Lewis in mind (i.e. generally extremely clean racer, very good at media com, very good at portraying himself as good and above petty disputes – whether he truly is above them remains to be proven) but Lewis was an asshole much more outwardly at the time it happened, and he still had a lot of maturing to do, and his com was pretty bad (think of the Japanese GP snapchat scandal stupidity, I mean… the whole thing was ridiculous to being with, but he unfortunately handled it very poorly as well – if such a thing happened today he would react very differently). Anyway, I will forever wonder whether it could have been possible for them to have such a rivalry in a mature way later on, or if the fact that it’s THEM makes it impossible for them to be mature about it, in the way siblings can never fight without all the weight of their childhood on their backs.
Similarly, I feel like when you don’t know the actual story, like I mentioned in the Abu Dhabi review, it seems like Lewis won the war as Nico gave up on F1. But that’s not true. And look. You know I don’t really do fanfiction but I want to say that the first person who opened my eyes to it even before I got to the end of the season and saw it for myself was Akira (@effervescentdragon) in this ficlet. Credit where it’s due, what she wrote really stayed with me while watching the end of this season. Anyway, forgive me for quoting myself from the last race review, but there’s no use paraphrasing something I already wrote :
And I think it’s an important thing to finish on. Because a lot of people have said (I mean I’ve just read it in one of the articles I’ve read for this conclusion) that Nico won the battle but Lewis won the war because Nico basically gave up. I myself have alluded to this in the “Lewis breaks his teammates essay”. Lewis did break Nico. I mean Nico said pretty plainly that he was unable (but maybe more importantly unwilling) to keep putting so much effort into beating Lewis. But Lewis didn’t win the war, Nico did. Because Lewis never got to beat him again. [...] And Nico robbed him of a chance to set things right in his mind. In the story of their rivalry, the last thing that happened is, and will forever be : Nico won. And that’s Nico’s everlasting victory.
Let’s talk numbers : so far, I’ve completed 56.6% of my rewatch. In total, I’ve made 1,862 GIFs to illustrate it.
Here’s a list of the 2016 GPs with a quick summary and the link to the actual recap if you wanna read it or take a look at the GIFs I made :
Australian GP : season context, quali fiasco, Lewis pole, interviews, bad start, horrible crash with a redflag, slight Toro Rosso drama, Lewis P2
Bahrain GP : quali fiasco still being revised, Lewis pole, Alonso is NOT back, another interview, Angela, got overtaken by nico then contact with val, pretty good racing but not at the front, Lewis P3
Chinese GP : absolute disaster of a weekend, first PU failure, chaotic start, three pit stops in the first ten laps???, lots of overtakes, Lewis p7
Russian GP : abysmally stupid halo conversation, second PU failure + issues during the race, messy messy start, mechanics swap, lewis P2, bonus
Spanish GP : lewis pole, Max promoted to RedBull, obviously well. Double DNF.
Monaco GP : not on pole, mixed conditions, but still 44th win!
Canadian GP : controversial start incident, battle with Seb, nice podium, the seagull incident, Ted being very partial, Lewis wins!
European GP : bad quali and another engine problem, stupid radio ban, Lewis P5
Austrian GP : pole!, complicated race, shocking plot twist, lots of post race debrief, Lewis wins
British GP : Lewis pole, karting interview, wet start, loads of cars losing it, radio ban issue for Nico, Lewis wins
Hungarian GP : huge quali controversy, the radio ban gets even stupider, possibly some shady backing up and brake issues?, Lewis wins, championship lead! Raikkonen doesn’t like Max’s driving
German GP : Nico interview, strategy group meeting, pretty boring race, Lewis wins
Belgian GP : engine penalty, terrible Brundle opinions on the halo, incredibly chaotic race, Lewis P3 after an extreme recovery
Italian GP : extremely boring race, nothing to say, Lewis P2
Singapore GP : chaotic start, very very weird strategy calls, Lewis P3
Malaysian GP : fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck (but more seriously : turning point moment?, tragic ending, hurt no comfort, conspiracy theories, etc.)
Japanese GP : Snapchat controversy, another bad start, many overtakes early on, suspenseful ending, WCC decider
US GP : Lewis interview, Lewis pole, but more reliability problems, Lewis’ 50th win! Adorable podium.
Mexican GP : Lewis pole Lewis win, but nobody cares because there’s incredible drama between Max and Seb, none of your business
Brazilian GP : very very chaotic wet race, Massa’s last home race, lovely radio, baby Charles is in love, Lewis win
Abu Dhabi GP : obvious title decider, some stuff about Nico’s decision to leave F1

I just read up your post on merc not favoring nico throughout his career. With all the british bias sky/any other medias had against him back in the day, it's definitely interesting when nico decided to join them, always made me wonder how he felt about all of that. Also, did he really sign more than 100 million euros in 2016? That's some insane negotiation skill, considering he hasn't been a wdc 😭
the thing about relationships between sports people and the media is that it's inherently weird. because yes, these people often talk shit about you on the television, but you also often see them more than you see your own family. you share flights with them, and meals, and you see them not just at work, but also in airports and train stations and restaurants and hotels. and both sides need each other. the media need drivers and team personnel to want to talk to them (and sometimes leak them information) and the drivers and teams need the media for coverage, advertising, and to drive certain narratives. and for both sides, the people that you are on camera may not always be who you are off camera, and there is a certain recognition of that.
for nico, while i would say that while the british media treated him fairly terribly during 2014-2016, there were still moments where they acknowledged how good he was. there was this very odd phase in the monza-suzuka section of the 2016 calendar, where it was looking increasingly likely that nico was going to win the championship, and sky were suddenly nice about nico. they wrote articles about how wonderful nico was as a person and said it was a shame that people didn't get to see that side of nico (even though they were the ones portraying him in a certain way), they did a review of the hybrid era and recognised that nico had had more bad luck across the era than lewis, (although lewis had probably had slightly worse luck in 2016) and where earlier race wins like bahrain, china and russia (where he began on the front row and then led all the way to the end) were described as boring and unchallenged, race wins like monza and japan (which were almost identical to the earlier wins) were described as faultless and perfect. even when they were being terrible to him, there were moments that were good.
additionally, a lot of the british hate towards nico only began in 2014. prior to that, coverage was largely positive. nico was driving terrible cars, but he was driving them incredibly well. he dragged some of the shittiest williams cars in their history to places that they should not have been, including onto the podium. i would have to check, but i'm pretty sure that during his time at williams, nico was their only podium finisher. he absolutely destroyed his teammates (the only teammate he never beat in his career was mark webber, who was his teammate during his rookie year, when they were driving a car that spent more time on fire than it did racing), and when he went to mercedes he beat michael schumacher pretty convincingly (only schumi teammate to ever beat him btw). before he became a threat to lewis, the british media were actually quite complimentary about him. so for nico, it's a question of three years of negative coverage versus eight years of pretty good coverage (personally i would still have told them to fuck off).
there's also the fact that nico does triple duty for sky, as he works for sky germany and sky italy too, often in the same weekend. so sky are willing to pay him essentially three times to do one job, which seems like a pretty good deal to me, and i don't think the german or italian coverage of him was ever quite as harsh as the british media, so that might also be a factor. he clearly enjoys what he does, he gets to show up in his little linen beach outfits, say whatever he likes, and leave as the paddock implodes because he's just dropped information that the fia didn't want anyone to know about. truly an icon.
as for the contract extension, yeah it was insane. i think it may have even been for as much as 137 million euros, almost 70 million per year, which is a legitimately insane amount of money for any driver, let alone one who has never won a wdc. as i said, i think nico actually had quite a lot of power/leverage when it came to signing the contract because of what was happening internally at mercedes at the time. also, back then, a lot of merc's biggest sponsors, hugo boss, thomas sabo, etc. were actually nico sponsors, and if he went to ferrari, they would have gone with him, so there was definitely a financial incentive to keep him, but still, georg nolte and gerhard berger definitely earned their money in those negotiations

i need to hear all your thoughts on the situation because i’m currently shitting myself
hey hello!! did you sleep through the chaos 👀 never in my wildest dreams did i imagine this would happen, we were talking about alex and yuki and ollie and now we have lewis hamilton 😭 we found out it was an option and within a day it became official!! i’ve never gone through so many emotions in my LIFE
Before Skysports put out their confirmation I did a small doom post here (and then they announced it and my brother sent me the screenshot of the Skysports post and i had the most fevered five hours of my life). I think my thoughts remain mainly the same 12h after the official announcements? I think we’re all concerned about how this is going to affect team dynamics. My thoughts on this are:
-We’re free from the Sainz clan and the Spanish media 😭😭 Worst fucking experience of my life.
-I’m not too worried about incidents on track because Lewis and Charles are both really clean racers. I know we all have some lingering shadow from the Sebchal era, but I think (and I may be wrong) that Lewis has only had Spain 2016 against him in this regard. I think the racing will be exciting and I’m looking forward to it.
My primary concern is that apparently Lewis reached out to Elkann 3 weeks ago. Now this is giving me stress ulcers because:
-It sounds like Ferrari did not put too much thought into how they’re going to manage two no.1 drivers. It sounds like Elkann jumped at the opportunity to sign Lewis Hamilton.
-Looking at that multi-year contract, I am 99% sure Lewis has been promised equal treatment. A 2+1 contract is not some pre-retirement fun. And kudos to them both for believing they can beat each other but I will be very!! stressed!!
-How does this factor into Fred’s restructuring because I doubt he was planning to sign a driver of Lewis’ calibre. Ultimately though it’s good for Ferrari as a team- if the car is good we’re going to witness some real racing and maybe even end RB’s domination before the new regs (haha.)
But as a 1644 enjoyer I think 2025-2028 (if neither of them utilise their exit clauses) will be a fun ride and I hope one way or another the title is coming back to Maranello. (In my delusion I think Charles can take 2024, 2025 and Lewis can have 2026) Honestly? I hope Charles bags the wdc this year so twitter is a bit less of a hellhole going into 2025. There are so many unknowns right now, the press conference in Bahrain will be so juicy and I can’t wait.
I think we just have to look at the positives and have faith in Charles as a driver. I’m just going to enjoy this season first and hope Seb’s returning in 2025 🥹 lmklmklmk what u think too!!

Regarding your fic, Sing Yourself a Lullaby, do u think, the 2016 fallout wouldn’t have happened had their child lived? 🥹
P.S. just a curious thought as I am quite stuck with the would’ve beens and could’ve beens of Brocedes
discussion of unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, and URBP spoilers below the cut, but at this point if you don't know how that fic ended you're never reading it are you
the least satisfying, most cop-out answer is that asking, and then refusing to answer that question is the whole point of the fic. the nature of relationships, especially failed ones, is that we can always point to one thing and ask what would have happened if not for that thing, and yet we can never know for sure, and somehow we have to live with that. someone once told me that "forgiveness means letting go of the possibility of a better past," and that's what nico and lewis both achieve by the end of the fic. that's what it means for nico to tell lewis he should have ten titles, and for lewis to say that nico's shouldn't be one of them. they don't need to hold onto the world where they could have had the baby and lived happily ever after, because they've accepted the world as it is.
another, equally unsatisfying answer is that a different fallout would have happened instead. the pregnancy isn't the reason neither of them felt like they could bring their grief to the other after it failed; there's a reason nico calls seb before he calls lewis, and although they did make the choice to keep the pregnancy, nico's internal monologue and both of their dialogue suggests that neither of them felt unreservedly ready for it. they were two kids* trying to make the best choice in an impossible situation, and maybe that would have brought them closer, but maybe it wouldn't have.
maybe the fallout is worse in the world where they have the baby. we can read nico's bitter comments from 2014 about how lewis would be running away with the title if he were the little omega waiting at home for him as misplaced grief about what he's lost, and they are, of course, but-- what would it have been like for nico to watch the car he'd spent four years working on finally be a masterpiece, and not be able to fight for the title? nico's resentment of his body long predates the miscarriage; how does he feel about his body in a world where it's the reason he never won a title--it, and loving lewis, and choosing him? how long do we think they make it, in that universe?
what does a brocedes endgame look like if neither of them knows that nico had it in him to beat lewis, even just once?
maybe they would have figured it out. maybe that world actually is better than the one they ended up in. but that brings us back to point #1. we don't need to live in the best of all possible worlds. we live in the one we live in, and all we can do is make the best of it.

Kinda afraid to even ask but can you explain what happened with Lewis and nico — wasn’t around then. Or is there like a primer 😅
oh goooood i am probably not the person to explain 'brocedes' to you bc i have a legitimate visceral hatred of nico rosberg, but there are like Scholars of the subject in the fandom. the very short version is that lewis and nico were best friends for many years, having met as children in karting, and were extremely close, then when they became teammates at mercedes in 2013 their friendship very publicly disintegrated and became open animosity. rosberg was so determined to beat lewis that for the 2016 season he apparently barely saw his family and did a bunch of other crazy shit, then once he won the title that year he retired. my hatred of rosberg comes from, aside from the fact he's an anti-vaxxer and i'm immunocompromised, the fact that he now effectively stalks lewis and makes him visibly uncomfortable at every opportunity. he has a genuinely creepy approach to talking about or to lewis and is obsessive, as well as the usual peddling of the 'lewis and george secretly hate each other' agenda, which of course leads to increased abuse of both drivers by fans. i can't remember when it was so i can't link you, but in 2021 or '22 there was a clip of lewis on the grid before a race and rosberg was doing the interviews and lewis literally ducked and shuffled by as quickly as possible when nico tried to talk to him, and nico seems to revel in doing that kind of thing. anyway this is turning into one of my anti-rosberg rants, so i'll stop. if i'm honest i avoid following rosberg fans/brocedes shippers so i don't know who to point you to for a better explanation, but if any followers do they're welcome to chime in. 💜

Hi Hi
Love your fanfics!!! I’ve reread a change of habits at least thrice already😅 and I plan on reading it some more!!!
I was rewatching old f1 races and the one I just finished watching was Brazil 2016 and spotted young Charles leclerc during the second red flag (I think it was the second one ). It was the part where Lewis was standing by the Haas garage( again I think it was the haas garage) and Charles was looking at him 🥹 and I couldn’t help but wonder if you could perhaps write a one shot of Charles telling Lewis that this was the moment that he knew he had a crush on Lewis or something of that sorts🙈
Omgggg hiiii! First of all thank you so, so much! I'm so happy to hear that you like my fics this much ❤️❤️❤️
Second of all? Your idea is SO CUTE!!!!! I ended up watching the race to see that moment, and you are so right!! He fell in love right this instant, he was trying to hard to look everywhere but at Lewis when Lewis got closer XD
So, here we gooooo!
Charles loved quiet evenings with Lewis. Sure, fancy dates were wonderful, but nothing beat a homemade meal and a few glasses of wine shared afterwardon the couch, or in front of the fire. The weather had gone cold again, which gave them the excuse to light up the chimney.
He loved those evenings because it was only the two of them, and they didn't owe anyone anything. Plus, their wine discussions were always fun, and most of the time, they ended up in sweet heart-to-hearts. And more often than not, even swetest love making, after.
They only had a few days to themselves after Jeddah, and they wanted to make the most of it.
So, it was an evening like any other - the two of them sharing a bottle of wine in the living room - and that made it special. They had been quiet for a little while when Charles, after serving himself a second glass, broke the silence.
"Brazil 2016," he said slowly, reminiscing.
"What about it?" Lewis cocked his head, playing with his own glass still half-full.
"That's when I realised I had a crush on you. I remember looking at you during a red flag. You came out of the car, you passed right in front of me, and the next to me. I tried my hardest to pretend I wasn't looking at you, but man. You had a white suit back then, completely damp. What a view... I was dying to talk to you but I didn't want to bother you, so I didn't. Pretty sure there were cameras on us, too. You won, after, and I couldn't tear my eyes off the podium. I was still in GP3, back then."
"Yeah, I know," he said, a nostalgic smile on his lips.
"What do you mean, you know?" Charles snorted. "Aren't you supposed to have a terrible memory? How do you know what I was doing before F1?"
Lewis ducked his head, suddenly very interested in his glass. "I used to watch your races," he admitted, something shy and insecure in his voice.
"What?"
"You heard me, don't make me say it again," he pouted. "I was just- I don't know, it was a good distraction. 2016 was hell, and seeing younger drivers race and have the time of their life... It was nice. Watching you race, too."
"You were watching me race?" he parroted, baffled. He gulped down the rest of his wine just to digest the information and put his glass away. It was a pretty glass, it would be a shame if he dropped it.
"Yeah, I mean... Jules mentioned you, once," Lewis said softly. "He was talking about you with so much enthusiasm. And then, well. I saw you at the funeral for the first time, I think? And later, I checked your name on the internet and learnt you were racing in GP3. So I got curious."
Charles forgot to breathe for a second, at the mention of Jules. He didn't think his godfather had talked about him to anyone, especially not to Lewis fucking Hamilton.
"You were amazing," Lewis continued. "It was incredible to watch you race. I could tell you would join F1 sooner rather than later. So I kept watching. I don't know, to keep tabs on my future opponent?"
"Did you have a crush on me?" Charles gasped, hopeful.
"No," Lewis said a bit too quickly. "I mean, you were beautiful, but you were also over ten years younger than me and you looked pretty much unattainable. So, you know, there was no point. Didn't think you'd be interested in an old man like me."
"Not old," Charles rolled his eyes.
"But anyway. Yes, I remember Brazil 2016. I knew who you were, I saw you. What were you doing there anyway? There were no GP3 races in Brazil that year."
"And you're saying you have a terrible memory?" he laughed. "I'm not sure, I think I just wanted to watch the race. I like Brazil."
"I was happy when you won the championship. It didn't make it any better for me, with everything that happened, but... I don't know. I was a little happy."
"Did you keep on watching, after?" Charles asked after a second.
"Ah, no," Lewis shook his head. "I was just so focused on myself, and winning, after that... Not the healthiest, I have to admit. But then, you arrived in F1 in 2018. I remembered you, I couldn't help but notice you and I could tell you were looking at me."
"Oh, god, even back then?" Charles blushed, mortified.
"Hey, that's not something bad," Lewis chuckled. "I liked it, that you were watching me. I wouldn't have approached you the first time, otherwise. And after that, well, the rest is history."
"Good history," he nodded and cupped Lewis' cheek to kiss him.
"Very good," Lewis hummed against his lips, putting down his glass of wine to cradle Charles' waist. "Very, very good."
Charles laughed into the kiss.

ok, so i got into f1 through dts in the past few years, and then stumbled across the brocedes rabbit hole recently. before that i didn't really know/like nico at all, because everyone made out like he was awful and obsessed with lewis. but i've just been watching the 2016 season, and not only is nico actually really nice (especially when he keeps being booed by crowds for literally no reason) but i have to say that i was shocked by how unreliable both mercedes cars were in that season. like, people make it out as though lewis' car was breaking down all the time and nico's was perfect, but in almost every race where lewis had car issues, so did nico. even watching the sky sports coverage (where they do talk almost non-stop about lewis and are definitely biased towards him), the number of times that they interview niki or toto going 'oh it was a perfect race for nico but car issues for lewis' and toto or niki say that actually both cars had issues is insane. also, people keep saying that nico would deliberately speak foreign languages in the cooldown room to exclude lewis (which im obviously not discounting), but in almost all of the cooldown rooms that they've shown for this season, it's just really awkward and quiet as they don't talk to each other, or anyone at all really. i feel like nico has just been done so dirty by everyone
come here anon let me kiss you with tongue
i went through this exact journey of discovery too where I was like yeahhhh everyone hates this guy! boo 🍅🍅🍅 so I went looking deeper into why (so I can be an #informed hater) and then I was like HUH.... he's not the manipulative evil obsessed with lewis can't get over their past relationship dude he's portrayed in fanon or exacerbated by sky news. in fact he was well liked by the grid!!! he invited others on Air Rosberg so they could all go travel together. and don't get me started on The Narratives of it all. my man was getting booed at Silverstone or for beating lewis, and he was saying thank you to the fans... the tifosi booed him for winning Monza and he turned that around and made them sing with him!!! (and then kravitz called it embarrassing 😶)
the British sky coverage bias is SO real, and not do get me started on the crashes which are all framed as "Nico got envious and rammed into Lewis" and not the amount of times Lewis didn't leave enough space, or he was the one who caused it....... but I digress. the W-06s were kind of like the 2022 Ferraris where they were insanely fast but notoriously unreliable. fucking hell when Nico won the championship -- EVERYONE including his own team of Toto and Niki were talking about whether Lewis lost due to DNFs, and it took sebastian vettel to be like. hey. can we talk about Nico's deserved win tho?
lewis was asked if he thought the better man won and he said he didn't agree with that, and then when he retired was like "oh I'm not surprised, it's the first time he's won anything in 20 years." 🥴🥴🥴
every time someone learns more about nico over what's regurgitated about him they're always Huh... he's just some well meaning cringe dude... and not an evil mastermind 🤥 I do not discount that they've both hurt each other in ways we're not aware of, but everything that's publicly available means that's not our stance to take (hate a guy on Behalf of lewis cause he won't say his name)
now I don't blame fans -- how would you know about something that happened like 7 years ago now? and Lewis is very skilled at the narratives around him, he had a team that despite letting both drivers race was clearly behind him; and everything since DTS, fanon has been reinforcing the same narrative.
ultimately, nico won 2016 and lewis won the narrative.
sorry this answer got so long!!! i have mental problems!!! happy to recruit you in our large number of 6 nicologists if you now swing that way. 💕

704 words; dynamics of Max, Lewis, and a bit of Charles
“Max,” Lewis blurted, tearing his eyes away from his phone. He must have just noticed Max’s arrival.
Max wiped his lower lip roughly. “Hello, mate.”
Lewis’ braided hair was dutifully tucked underneath a vibrant pinkish-red cap. The silver earring dangling from his left ear trembled with his every movement.
“Where were you?” Max asked after a beat. His eyes stilled to focus on Lewis and Lewis’ reaction.
Lewis rubbed at his forehead softly, contemplating Max’s words. Max’s cheeks still carried a sheen of sweat, glistening in the dark blanket of the night sky. His freshly shaven jaw glittered.
“Max,” Lewis began trepidly. His mind blurred back to previous years, 2016, 2017, and 2018, where Max was a blip on his radar, a faint crawl of smoke containing youth and urgency on the edges of his awareness; all before he had brusquely shoved and domineered his way into the forefront of Lewis’ attention. Then it had been a constant stream of Max; the lisp as he laughed dryly about track conditions, the simmering contact between their eyes as they nodded to each other after and before a race, the faint hair plastered onto his stocky arms and legs.
“You alright there?” Max asked, a small grin threatening to eclipse his face.
“Sorry, man, I just blanked out for a second.” Lewis unlocked his phone again and began tapping away. “What’s up?”
Max’s forehead abruptly drooped onto Lewis’ shoulder. His dirty blond hair flattened on the lithe plane of Lewis.
The changes in Max’s body were eminent here. His widened shoulders and torso, the strong, heavy build of his arms tapering into a boxy, yet smaller, waist.
“I asked where you were,” Max muffled into the drying material of Lewis’ fireproofs.
Lewis tried not to drop his phone. He locked it with a click.
“The car is…”
“Shit?” Max offered honestly.
“Yeah,” Lewis gave a curt sigh. “Honestly, yeah, it’s shit.” His arms rose to envelop Max loosely.
Max craned his neck upwards and rolled it around with a grimace. “Too short,” he teased.
Lewis chuckled limply, the sound forced from his throat. He had qualified 15th, one of the worst in his entire career, and had been racing a Haas, almost on par, for the majority of the race. For Lewis, it was unfathomable.
The boy—the man—who had beaten him last year had just won the race, his younger, friendlier rival clad in red with tiny, pursed lips waving to Max after they crossed the finish line barely five-hundredths of a second apart.
If Lewis was a fan and not a driver, he’d root for Charles.
Max stretched to his full height and Lewis tried to not feel emasculated. “I finished tenth. I don’t even know if you get a point for that.”
Max showed off his row of stubby, straight teeth. “Of course, they changed the rules for that a long time ago.”
“I’ve never really had to focus on that, to be honest,” Lewis bit back, mirth bleeding into his tone to mitigate the arrogance of the statement.
Max raised his eyebrows and when Lewis thought he might finally, finally have affected him off-track, Max deflated, laughing breathily.
“That’s true. You should really retire,” Max’s biceps flexed as he scratched the back of his head. “You’re making it hard for us to beat your records!”
Us, Lewis thought bitterly. Us as in, him and Charles. Lewis could root for Charles all he wanted. Max was untouchable. He simply did not care.
Lewis fed the bitterness brewing beneath his skin with impulsion. Which led him to grab Max’s face with his palms and recklessly push his lips onto Max’s.
He would deny it, but Lewis had to lift himself up to meet Max. The kiss was short and dry, chapped lips grating against each other like gravel on stone.
When Lewis pulled away, Max chased the kiss, eyelashes brushing his cheeks. Lewis smiled, triumphant.
“Say hi to Charles for me, Max!” Lewis called out as he walked backwards, away from the young Dutchman.
A gentle tinge of pink spread across Max’s cheeks. Lewis wished the two the best of luck. At least if they weren’t teammates they had a fighting chance of making it.
