What if Takeru's Patamon digivolved with a Crest of Despair instead of with the Crest of Hope?

From baby I to adult will stay the same since the adventure digimon use the crest at the perfect and ultimate level.

Baby I - Poyomon

Baby II - Tokomon

Child - Patamon

Adult - Angemon

Perfect - Manticoremon

Ultimate - Lucemon: Satan Mode

Now for Patamon I picked Manticoremon and Lucemon: Satan Mode.

I really liked Manticoremon, I liked how Angemon would go from human to a beast, a demon beast digimon no less.

I was stuck when it came to the ultimate but then I remembered that Lucemon: Satan Mode existed, and I think it really works.

It was hard to find something that could flow from Manticoremon into something that was still beastly and evil, but I found the perfect one.

Plus, Manticoremon has the same little cloth piece that Seraphimon has, so I think it's a nice connection. I also like the beast factor, how the original line was very human once it got to adult and stayed that way.

Now though, it's more beast, more violent and turning into a demon beast instead of being a human archangel. Yet, no matter how much I love this line I am open to new ideas.

So tell me what you think would work better for this line.

Messed around with clip studio and came up with a full evolution line for my favorite rookie Ghostmon and my favorite digimon Wisemon :D

I was looking at Leopardmon's blurb in the Digimon Encyclopedia and it says he's a very intelligent tactician which I think works really well if his previous form is Wisemon!

Rhythm Trio's Partner Digimon

So, to celebrate the new Rhythm Heaven, I decided to showcase partner Digimon designs for the Rhythm Trio (Marshal, Cam, and Miss Ribbon)! I haven't written down quite what their like but I wanted to post them. They're side views sourced from their bio images for those wondering!

They were in the vault bc one's bio image hadn't been finish for a couple years and I want to post them close together! So enjoy!

Okay so I was mildly obsessing over the Punkmon line and how cool it is when I realized it would fit perfectly with Gumdramon too. And then I drew this for some reason even though it would have just been easier to make a diagram with the reference book art or something but oh well.

I’m going to rant a little below the cut, just a warning.

OKAY.

So yeah, even though it doesn’t really need explaining I’ll show my findings for why the Punkmon line fits so perfectly as an evolution for Gumdramon too. This line is rocking so hard it could potentially be used to resolve two of my incomplete line OCDs which is crazy.

So getting the obvious out of the way, they’re both purple dragons. They have a lot of visual similarities. And they both use their tails to fight in some way, Gumdramon’s hammer, Punkmon’s pick, etc. And I think they both have fire based attacks so their elemental association lines up too.

Then theres the reference book entries. They’re both lil show offs! They want to look cool when they fight and pull a crowd, it’s so cute!

It also says Gumdramon is mischievous too! A mischievous little guy becoming a hardcore heavy metal anarchist is so good thematicly!

And if you wanted to, their designs are similar enough you could insert Arresterdramon/ Arresterdramon Superior Mode as the Adult/Champion or the Ultimate/Perfect if you like them better.

I was always sad that Gumdramon didn’t get a full line and just got a bunch of mode changes after Arresterdramon and the Punkmon line could solve it so well! (I know Xros Wars/Boy Hunters wasn’t really about evolution but it still bugs me. Like Boy Hunters was way less about Xrosing than main Xros Wars so they really should have just gave Gumdramon a full line, but oh well)

But yeah! I really hope they use this line in the future in some way, it would make me so happy. Even just being able to evolve Gumdramon down the Punkmon line in one of the games would be cool.

Also I didn’t look around to see if anyone else had already said this before so if I’m like the millionth person to point this out, I’m sorry!

A little something I threw together for my favorite Rookie/Child Digimon - Bakumon (aka Tapirmon)! A Digivolution with three paths with distinct themes that also feel like they could easily cross over into one another, plus one Dark Digivolution for tradition's sake. I was definitely going off vibes and story potential when I made this.

Welp

I'm slowly crafting a Dragon Age Digimon AU (primarily focused on Inquisition) that basically takes elements from Frontier and the AU's story is basically "welp the events of Inquisition are happening in the Digital World, how about we send the Inquisition over here to help us out?"

Basically the characters are gonna turn into Digimon

Being a Digimon fan is watching someone make an hour and thirty minute review of Digimon World 2, completely agreeing with every critical criticism, and accepting when he says that he can't bring himself to recommend this game to anyone.

And then suddenly having the urge to play Digimon World 2.

so it occurred to me: what if I gave digimon companions to the main characters?

so I made evolutionary lines based on their personality,

For those who have not played the game, I highly recommend it.

And for those of you who don't know Digimon or aren't interested, what do you think of the evolutions without having any context about Digimon?

What if Taichi's Agumon digivolved with a Crest of Cowardice instead of with the Crest of Courage?

Baby I - Botamon

Baby II - Koromon

Child - Agumon

Adult - Greymon

Perfect - Megadramon

Ultimate - Chaosdramon

Now I chose Megadramon because I think it's a nice turn on Metalgreymon by still adding metal elements with the head covering just like Metalgreymon and the metal claws.

I've seem some people use Skullgreymon since it was a dark digivolution for Greymon in the anime, but I think the courage is being brave even when one if afraid.

I feel like in the episode where he see Skullgreymon Taichi wasn't scared, he thought he was going to win, he knew that if Greymon digivolved that they would win.

That's not courage, that's wrath, that's power, that's a show of power and being so full of ones self that you don't care what happens because you truly believe that you are going to be the strongest.

So that's why I choose Megadramon.

Now, for the ultimate I choose Chaosdramon because I think it's a nice mix of Greymon species and another common pick for an evil Agumon ultimate, Mugendramon.

While I do think it would be fun to mix the same digimon species as the dark masters into the adventure kids evil lines I just don't know if that's what would work the best.

Plus, I think the more upright look of Chaosdramon reminds me of Wargreymon but the dinosaur look and the arms reminds me of Mugendramon.

Also, the red reminds me of Blitzgreymon, which was an alternative ultimate for Metalgreymon: Alterous Mode in Digimon Adventure 2020.

Now this is my opinion and you are allowed to dislike or like it, and I would love to hear what you think would fit better for this idea.

Mom: I always liked that angel one.

Me: Angewoman?

Mom: No, the other one.

Me: Angemon? (Shows her a picture)

Mom: Yeah, that one! He's kinda hot!

I'm kind of disappointed they made Biyomon the stand-in child/rookie for Xiquemon in the new card set. Falcomon (2006) could have worked so much better since they have the same colored feathers and the same overall aesthetic.

But I guess Falcomon already has gotten a lot of attention recently with Survive and technically has multiple lines between its original and 2006 counterpart... but almost any bird digimon would have worked better than Biyomon, imo! Even Hawkmon would have been cooler!

I know at the end of the day, Digimon can have multiple lines, and nothing is set in stone, but I still feel like it was a wasted opportunity for this set.

At least the bird digimon have more line diversity than the bugs with their end all be all GrandKuwagamon mega. But still.

Not slandering Biyomon or the other Adventure partners, but sometimes, I feel like they get too much attention. At least Biyomon isn't used as often as some of the others.
