Something I've been thinking about recently

So Solemn Judgment i've allways found the card art of entertaining idk theres something really fun about having some old man just say "no" to your opponents card effects while just standing there menacingly like the energy is so powerful that when you activate this card you kinda feel powerful

and as with a lot of popular cards it ends up getting refrences in a couple others all the other cards that fall under this same sorta archetype have a similar sort of vibe the pose the presence the art its just so funny and so fun and so intimidating if your on the receiving end just big bearded old man saying "no" 10/10

even applies to the cards where he's just sorta in the background

and then theres this one

and it just looks so fucking out of place and its kinda the funniest shit

why does the old man have a fucking bisounen anime chin why are his shadowey eyes now givin the anime treatment

why is his intimidating pose just reduced to him just kinda vibing thinking about what he's goin to have for dinner

why did they yassafy grandpa

M!Corrin is just like Yuya Sakaki from Yugioh Arc-V to me. Any one part of his design would look stupid if it weren't for the rest of it. He's the perfect little guy and I want to see him suffer emotionally. Literal definition of Blorbo. I think he'd play Dinomorphia and Penguins.

302 person yugioh regionals are fun lol we love 9 rounds with no lunch break. got in the top 130s could have broke 100 if i didnt play like a dumbass for a few moves. deck performed well tho. dinomorphia lab lets go

I kinda assumed in Yugioh GX because of how people act when they loose life points they feel physical pain when their life points go down (despite the whole cards being holograms thing) like the way they act i feel like very much implies it (screaming getting knocked down yknow shit that happens when you get hurt) and i assumed there was like some weird lore explanation for it later in the show or something (from how people talk about GX i know theres some batshit insane stuff waiting for me in later episodes)

but now theres a random episode where theres a shadow game and Jaden is like "woah i actually felt that attack this duel is for real" and like......... what about all those other times you definitely felt the attacks?? one episode ago you got like literally physically blasted backwards by an attack?????

so this just leaves us the question: is the lore explanation for everyone acting like they feel pain when they loose LP that everyone in Duel Academy is just REALLY into Larping?
