summary

One second you're just trying to co-parent a teenaged werewolf who you only recently found out is actually your son while also taking things slow romantically with his awkward dad aka the older guy who made your PTSD into a whole complex fifteen years ago.

When all of a sudden the old gang of supernatural assholes starts booking it back into town because they heard you might be reigniting a powerful werewolf family dynasty or need help changing diapers or something.

Yeah, ok, the whole dynamic is a little bizarre. It’s not everyday that your surrogate father figure’s actual daughter, who you kinda had a thing for fifteen years ago, is suddenly not dead and gets back with her ex (instead of you), a guy who used to be your best friend except you were probably never his, and oh yeah, remember the disaster of an older guy you used to hook up with in high school who kinda ruined your whole life and who recently died tragically and unnecessarily in a gruesome fight with supernatural forces? Well, his traumatized son’s latched onto you like you hung the fucking moon.

The worst is when she steps back out of his arms, and Scott runs a hand down her back and lets his palm rest against her lower spine, keeps it there while he curls his other arm around Isaac’s neck and sways in a hug.
