Thank you! And great news! Machinery is made up of boxes, cylinders, and other simple forms intercepting at different sizes, angles, and smoothness.

I suggest looking up clear photos of machines you like and putting them into a drawing file. Vitally, learning what parts of a machine do helps in 1. remembering where/what certain shapes are and 2. drawing believable structures because you are guided by how something meant to serve a function is shaped. Machine design has a ton of intentionality both in aesthetic and function, so identifying (or at least guessing) designers’ mindset for both in a machine is a fun exercise.

Making a machine character/location you love to draw is a great way to jumpstart studying. Play becomes genuine practice.

Hey everyone!!! So this is Midnight (oh-so-adhdish), I kinda wanna be called Daylight now since that’s my TADC OC’s name but whatever. I really don’t care whether you refer to me as Midnight or as Daylight as long as you don’t refer to me as “ADHD”.

So I want to apologize to @distantmaniacallaugh . I’m sorry for being an asshole to you during the Kinger situation. I respect your opinion on him regardless of whether it is the same as mine or not and I’m sorry if I said anything that unintentionally suggested otherwise. I love & care about all six of the people in the circus very much, including Kinger. To be honest, the way he glows at the end of episode 3 always comforts me by by taking away all the fear & anxiety that the monsters in that episode make me feel. He really is a wise, kind, and comforting character. I should’ve tried to explain things to you when you were confused instead of mocking & insulting your confusion like I did. The truth is that I was just as confused as you were. At the time all this happened, it was getting kinda late at night for me and I was too tired to figure out how to explain what needed to be explained to clear your confusion. I should’ve waited till the morning after I got some rest to reply instead of impulsively replying the way I did.

I also want to apologize to @backtothedrawingboard . Even though you started the original thread, you did NOTHING wrong and I hope that you do not feel like you did anything to start this whole thing when you didn’t. I was wrong to quote it insulting the character you were defending. Zooble isn’t a real person; you & Distant are real people. It was wrong of me to attack real people because I wanted to defend a character that I passionately love. I feel such a strong connection to Zooble that sometimes I feel as if I am Zooble and that my feelings & Zooble’s feelings are somehow the same. I use TADC to escape from the reality of my college work and thus have become so trapped in my own imaginary world that I really disconnected myself from reality over the feelings of these characters that don’t exist & never existed in the real world.

And to anyone else whose feelings I may have hurt with any of this, I’m very sorry to you as well.

One final thing I’d like to say is thank you to @starspangledbatter . You have always been there for me and you gave me the strength to apologize when I felt too afraid to do so out of fear that someone else will attack me for apologizing by listing all the reasons why I shouldn’t be forgiven in a quote reblog. “Nosciocircus” is a valid spelling, it’s more phonetic!

Kinger is in an incredibly difficult spot for rehabilitation, but he carries some unexpected aces.

He has been sieved for years and his body’s receptiveness to a middleman is weak. Despite this, he has unintentionally prepared himself for blindness by covering his avatar’s “eyes” in the latter years of insertion. His flashes of sharp consciousness continue into his new life, but it takes a year of nootic remapping therapy to grip tight enough to a communication schema to prove it.

While in the circus, Kinger’s whiteroom (mental immune system) channeled one of the mulekicks into his clockspeed (cognitive rate) as a desperate measure against boredom, grief, and unpredictable damage to mental architecture. As a result, the long hours in silence may pass calmly and with less cognitive activity than expected. This unfortunately also impacts his reaction speeds.

Once he can express yes-or-no, he is given the option of euthanasia. He chooses against it, but not lightly.
