"am i the asshole" pisses me off so much when it comes to stories of absurd child abuse. they're always so so quick to call out things as fake but it's always on stories so scarily similar to things myself and other people i know have experienced in real life. these people love to act like they're the superior knowledge on real vs fake stories on the internet but have no understanding of their lived experience being unique to them. anything even remotely outside of their idea of normal and comfortable is fake. they have no clue what can be real and immediately assume everything is a movie plot or everyone wants to be a creative writer but opinions are so obviously skewed by the privilege of being a person that did not suffer abuse and does not carry trauma. BELIEVE ABUSED CHILDREN

the whole ariana grande and ethan slater mess just proves my ongoing theory that even though everyone assumes that it’s attractive men you have to worry about trusting in relationships - in reality it’s the medium ugly ones that you have to really look out for. medium ugly men will live with you, marry you, have a baby with you, and then as soon as another woman throws him even a crumb of positive attention will gladly drop you like a hot potato with zero remorse or second thoughts

Apollo/Sans VS Apollo/Lityerses (Litpollo)
Propaganda
Apollo/Sans - AAAAA
Apollo/Lityerses - Two men who have done some terrible things, and yet gotten second chances and in this case, Apollo reached out to Lit and gave him another chance, when he'd done nothing to deserve one. I love how both of them break down in tears when shown kindness! - They have matching daddy issues and redemption arcs plus their marriage would make Apollo *actually* Meg's brother which is adorable - It just has so much potential with the trauma they share, the daddy issues (!!!) and going off the books it could be like a small crush developing into full out and unconditional love

One of the things that stands out the most to me about succession on the rewatch is how many hugely significant plot points only happen because at some point someone was feeling petty.

I don't want to fight, but I do want to talk about how sad crowley would be knowing that no matter how much he and remus may genuinely care for each other, remus would always choose sirius and likely will one day choose sirius because it's bloody obvious that those two belong together, and yes alright fine, he would also always choose aziraphale, but aziraphale very plainly did not choose him, and probably no one evil will... *sad snake noises*
Joke's on Crowley, once the original couples are back together, Remus magically develops Crowley Is Sad spidey senses and appears on Crowley's doorstep with wine and weed every time Crowley is down. Sirius and Aziraphale are not amused, but Crowley deserves to be put first! By someone other than the person sleeping with him! Thank you and goodnight <3

I don't necessarily want to be too hard on Sudeikis because like, I've never written a tv show, but at the same time I will be because I don't think he had the skill level to lead the 3rd season on his own the way he did, and it shows. I Know the show is called Ted Lasso but it honestly felt like he was too wrapped up in providing himself with moments to shine that he forgot about wrapping up huge plot points for other characters and for some reason decided their time was better spent wasted on weird side plots. If I was a suspicious person, I'd honestly say that it felt like he was sabotaging other actors by either turning them into one dimensional cut outs of themselves with no depth (Roy), dropping huge issues for the character and then completely washing over them, and also forcing a highly emotional moment by a great actor to be a farce (Jamie), or neglecting any actual potential character development and sacrificing a well developed character for a cheap shot at "yas girl boss" (Keeley)
hmm i know a lot of people blame the bad pacing and super long episodes on Bill Lawrence's departure and Jason's lack of show-running knowledge. I'm not saying he didn't make the problem worse in s3, but to be fair I think that was already well underway as a problem in s2 (when i think Lawrence was still involved?), so I don't really blame him alone. The pacing was only tight and great in the first season and then it went downhill from there.
As for the character stuff...I disagree that Sudeikis was only concerned with writing himself moments to shine (and if it’s true he did a terrible job of it lmao), because imo Ted's character is just as much of a sloppily-written mess in s3 as the rest of them (and also I think Ted's plot was less central in s3 than it was in s2 especially). Apart from the scene with Ted and his mom at the end of Mom City and maybe his season finale locker room speech, I can't really think of any scenes that are standout in terms of really emphasizing Jason's acting range/serving as award-fodder.
I also strongly disagree that he was intentionally sabotaging his fellow actors by giving them bad plots LOL. Actually I think it was quite the opposite, in that he was extremely focused on giving each of the others a “highlight reel" episode to present to the Emmys committee. Like, you can look at the season and immediately pick out which episode was written for each emmy submission (Paris is Juno's episode, Chelsea is Brett's episode [still shocked he didn't submit it tbh], International Break is Hannah's episode, etc.) Like, Mom City was clearly written with Phil winning his emmy at the forefront of the writer's room minds, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. heck, that's my favorite episode of the season! (side note that I agree with you that Jason is to blame for THAT jamie boot room scene though because like wow was that bad directing, and the bts video shows he was the one telling Phil to play it like that lmao). But i do think the segmented structure of the episodes probably did contribute to the pacing problems and the lack of cohesiveness in the season as a whole.
(I also don’t think Roy was one-dimensional in s3 🫢. Apart from a few things that didn't quite land for me, I really liked where they took Roy's arc this season on the whole. IMO they gave him more depth by really diving into his insecurities, showing him as a leader with Isaac, learning to be a friend to Jamie, coming into his own as a coach and a person, going to therapy and becoming manager. And his ending was ultimately satisfying for me).
ANYWAY, in my opinion Jason's biggest crime was being so rigidly committed to the three season vision of the show he dreamt up in the beginning, even when the show and plots had gotten too big for that original vision to contain. Season 3 could have been separated into two seasons easily and it would have given them the time they desperately needed to address many of the characters and relationships in a much better and holistic way, as well as dedicate more time to thoughtful endings for all of the main plots. Instead they tried to do way too much with way too little space. And also gave a weird amount of screen time to pointless characters (cough Zava cough Shandy...)

speaking of doomed tragic marriages there was this rick and morty comic artist who made an oc named “bonnie sinclair” as rick’s ex wife and beth’s mom before diane was created, her dynamic with rick is so interesting and funny (and sexy) 😭 you should check her out if you haven’t seen her
OH! Bon Bon is my fave actually 😍😍😍 she's really like what I pictured Diane to be (made Di is a little less rough around the edges to me but still brilliant badass wildcard) and one of the main reasons that I hold the idea of a divorced Rick so close to my heart

all this azul/octo trio content…. this is truly my favourite account…
Azul truly has no rizz but I love him for it ❤️ please do just write pure filth (don’t care what it is but all i want is something including his tentacles 🥴) orz orz
We love a certain rizz-less octopus on this blog. ♡( ◡‿◡ ) even if his rizz is false, he is still the beloved tako.
orz I will definitely write pure filth for him. I hope his birthday card comes home because it will determine whether or not tako gets his birthday sex. >:( aaaaa I really want to write tentacle smut again! It was my first time writing it for fwb Azul and I thought it would be challenging to write because of the many limbs and trying to picture the positions in a way that I could describe, but it actually wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.
I had an idea for an Azul thought that I eventually scrapped because I wasn't sure if it would be much fun to read. But the idea itself was mainly tentacle smut without any complex plot, so I will consider using that concept to write a oneshot for him hehe!!!

(mgv) scott helped adam with his heats before the events of saw 2004 but they were never bondmates. scott has tried to put his mark on adam in varying degrees of jokingness but never for good reasons. adam can't afford hired help for his heats and scott was the closest thing to a trustworthy alpha -- which is saying something because scott isn't. he didn't want adam as a mate, he wanted him as territory, something he could knot, bragging rights. he didn't really hide it, either, his intentions, so he had no qualms about snapping at scott back. if he managed to get close to his glands adam would ramp up the disdain and disgust and rejection in his scent and blast scott right in the face with it. "that's what you get, dickweed," he'd snarl to scott who had reeled back, gagging with tears in his eyes.
adam helps scott with his ruts in turn, though, usually by way of scott guilting him into it. "i get you through your shit, it's only fair you get me through mine." even though alphas aren't put through nearly the same stress during their ruts as omegas are for their heats; alphas can manage a rut by themselves fine (in some cases it actually is the best option because alphas in rut bulk up and can cause some damage if they're careless)

Actually re: all my gushing about Donna & Sam, the real core reason why they can’t (singularly) be together long term is that Sam thrives in violent situations and Donna Does Not LMAO
The deeper Sam got with Donna the more he really wanted to develop their dynamic into what he and Mara had (only the roles being reversed); I think post them breaking up is really when it solidifies for Sam that Mara wasn’t good for him and it isn’t a dynamic he should be trying to model ever again LMFAO Donna can only be ride or die so much—they fled their home because of violence and they don’t want to get wrapped back up in that kind of lifestyle (vs Sam who doesn’t blink at assassination attempts and starts fights whenever he feels like it lmfao)
Everything really came to a head when Asra got involved; Sam couldn’t pretend to play nice with them knowing they were trying to dig around into his business, and Donna wasn’t going to let another violent man break up the home they made for themself and Asra. Valerius is honestly a breath of fresh air because he isn’t going to throw hands with someone, he’s just gonna fuck their dad and maybe call them poor LMFAOOO
Sam has definitely LEARNED from all of that and it’s why he isn’t bitter Donna ended things (he’s bitter they threw out all his sentimental gifts tho lololol), and it’s why they’re much better as….. whatever they are LMAO there’s no more secrets, no more games, Donna fully gets Sam and he really understands them in a different way
