It's been on my to-do list for roughly a year - it's so out of date. Plus, I've noticed from interviews I've done lately it's what people are using to learn about me.
But with my first in-person author event being tomorrow, and my plan to pass out hundreds of bookmarks that point toward said website, I really can't afford to have it be out of date.
Sadly, I won't be able to do all the updates I want today. I did update my Books page, and then it took me two and a half hours to create a template for individual book details pages. Using the template is super helpful though, and I'm hoping to make sure 1/3 of my books have their own pages before I go to bed.
But since I'm in this 💪Super Productivity Mindset ⚒️ and will probably just give up writing for the next week to make this site nice, what all do you want to see on author websites?
More progress on my green jacket......... I did the overlaid panels on the chest/pocket/collar ages ago, but I've been putting off the sleeves because. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep them or not lol.
But I think it's turning out good! Mismeasured a bit between the panel width and the cuff extension but a cute pleat fixes everything :3c
Sometimes I wish there was an art website like deviantart where I could see my art at a glance and put everything into neat little folders too, God I miss it
It sadly doesn't work on the phone but yeah ! The daily song is more every other day cause of SCHOOL but check it out if you got the time and if you got the resources !
Okay, update from Mercury’s adventures in Casualty fandom history (staring at the internet archive and praying links work):
I really think the fandom was more active in the early 2000s, one day the main fan website got 1500 messages and while it was acknowledged as a lot for them, THAT’S A LOT. They had 200 members! Sadly, really, really, reallllly sadly, a lot of the stuff that would be most interesting to look at (the messageboard conversations and the fanfiction that got posted to the messageboards) hasn’t been archived. I’m trying to, like, console myself. Not to be all historian about medical drama fandom but it’s worth preserving and it’s a real shame to me that we appear to have lost parts of it.
I’ve been trying to tell myself “oh, I’m sure we didn’t lose anything too interesting!” (see: interesting to me… see: about the original paramedics) but I think I’m wrong about that because I’ve just found that someone was using the username ‘Ponting_Mute’ so you might say this is my Library of Alexandria.
I've been screwing around with a little fansite project on neocities just for funsies, and today I learned baby's first (incredibly basic) css, and it's so exciting!
The whole thing's still basically all plain text, but now it's plain text ✨with a header✨!
