You remember where you first started, selling your artwork on Etsy, your prices were so cheap they undermined the hours of hard work, pain, sweat and tears that went into them, still you only managed to sell 3 works in about 12 months, you were stumped. Feeling like you should just give up, like it was a lost cause and your art wasn’t really as good as you originally thought it was. Until it happened.

You thought it was a scam at first, these scammers were getting crafty these days and the Pedro Pascal, messaging you on Etsy wanting a custom piece? Come on, didn’t seem likely and you weren’t stupid. You remember asking him to DM you on Instagram, his offical page, giving the email your username on Insta and within minutes receiving a direct message from the Pedro Pascal’s offical Instagram page that at the time, had 2.4 million followers, the white tick surrounded by the blue circle was confirmation it was really him and not some bot, or scammer.

He had been generous in his compliments on your works, even suggested making a business Instagram account to gain more traction, within the hour of messaging he had placed an order and left a very generous tip, he had even followed you and kept in contact regularly upon the arrival of his artwork, you figured it was because he didn’t trust you after he had sent that much money.

It was the opposite of what you thought that kept him talking with you, he thought you were sweet, talented and had real potential and knew he could help you where you needed it; not lacking in talent but recognition. If people actually saw your artwork, people would buy them. And they did, once they saw that Pedro had uploaded an image of your artwork in his house, that he followed you, your page blew up overnight, and you had Pedro to thank for it.

Which leads you to the present, two years later and 12 months of you two officially being a couple, even though things were fairly ‘new’ for the two of you, people had suspected things had been going on for longer. People of course had said their two cents online and you opted to ignore it.

Here you were in the cold evening of New York City, in a gallery room that was cleared just for your artwork, which would be showcased then auctioned, you had heard some big names were invited, ones in which you were terrified to see, let alone meet.

“You doing okay sweetheart?” Pedro’s voice scared you, pulling you back to reality as the room was half filled with people, something you’d failed to notice in your dissociative state. You offer him a smile as he hands you a glass filled with champagne.

“A bit nervous, hoping this will help.” You take a sip, your red lipstick that matches your ruby red silk, spaghetti strap dress, smears on the rim of the glass, you clutch your purse as a last resort for stress relief, feeling the tension build as more people arrive.

“I’m shitting myself, what if they don’t sell, what if they don’t like it? What if they don’t like me?” Your rambling makes Pedro chuckle, he steps towards you, his matching burgundy suit presses against your dress clad skin. His free hand caresses your hand and your hair tickles his fingers as you lean into him.

“They’ll be stupid not to love you, or your artwork. You’ve got this sweetheart.” You look at the genuine look on his face and can’t help but fall in love all over again, this man was truly a blessing in your life.

“You’re right, I’m powerful and wonderful and a fucking great artist. To us baby.” You clink your glasses together before throwing your head back, swallowing the liquid for courage before walking to the stage that had a microphone and your most iconic artwork on the wall behind you.

You’re standing in front of dozens of well known celebrities, but the champagne gives you the courage to smile at them as they watch you with wondering eyes. “Thank you all so much for joint us this evening. It’s truly an honour to host this event and to have you all here. Just a reminder that 35% of all purchases goes to the highest sellers choice of charity.”

The group cheer as you welcome them, pleased by your selflessness to give away money to donate to charity, Pedro is standing by himself off to the left of the stage and you give him a sweet smile.

“I wouldn’t be here without my biggest supporter, he’s changed my life for the better. This is the biggest moment of my life and thank you all for joining me along on this journey. The auction begins in 15 minutes so please don’t go anywhere. Stay and enjoy as long as you like, have a wonderful evening everyone.”

The applause goes straight to your head, people clapping and cheering for you as you walk off the stage, meeting Pedro at his side and giving him a kiss on the cheek, he doesn’t mind that you leave a lip shaped lipstick stain on his skin.

The auction is intense, your latest piece was the biggest success, it was sold for $360,000. That to you, was insane, you had earned that much money on one artwork. The years of hardworking was finally coming to pay off, not to mention one charity of a buyers choice was going to have received a very hefty donation.

“I can’t fucking believe it, that was insane. Thank you so much for coming with me, I couldn’t have done it without you.” You muse as you’re locking up the store, Pedro blushes at your compliment. “You did this all yourself sweetheart, money can’t buy talent.”

You shiver as the cold air hits your bare shoulders, the skin forming goosebumps immediately, your teeth are chatting at the freezing temperatures, curing yourself for not bringing a jacket. Pedro takes off his suit jacket, leaving him in his long sleeve-white button up dress shirt as he wraps the jacket around you, the smell and warmth of him bring you back to reality. The warmth holds you in its grasp.

“You didn’t have to do that, thank you.” You look up at him, thankful for the kind gesture. “Of course I did sweetheart, let’s get you home.” The perfect moment between you was spoiled as you see and hear paparazzi come swarming and shouting in your direction, probably after seeing the event posted online.

“Hey Pedro Pascal! What’s it like dating someone not talented on your level? Is it because you want a normal life?” The man snaps pictures of you and Pedro together, holding hands and Pedro shielding you from the cameras as the flash is blinding you.

“She is more talented than me. She’s an incredible artist, not that I have to justify it. Please leave us alone we’re very tired.” Pedro takes your hand and you try to walk away to get to his car which was parked right outside of the gallery, was it a good idea, no. Was it convenient, yes.

“What’s it like dating someone significantly younger, do you think she’s dating you for the money?” Pedro opens your door and puts your seatbelt on for you, before shutting the door and turning to the men following him.

“She’s the most genuine person I’ve ever met, not that it’s any of your business. Goodnight.”

He turns and makes his way to the car, starting it and driving off away from the flashes that blinded his eyes only moments ago. He notices you’re quiet, too quiet.

“Are you okay?” He seemed to be asking that a lot lately.

“I don’t know. They’re just mean, I love you Pedro, I do. I just don’t know how you deal with that- it’s so invasive and just horrible the things they’re saying about me, about us.”

His hand rubs your bare knee as he drives, his eyes not leaving the road until he comes to a red light mere streets from your shared apartment, “don’t listen to a word they say. They’re just looking for a reaction. If you’re happy then we’re good. I know I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with you.”

“You always know the right things to say Pedro.”

“I gotta keep my girl happy, don’t I?” You can’t help but smile at the comment, he truly was a blessing.

So I played ttrpg for the very first time yesterday and had an absolute BLAST!? I vaguely wanted to try for years, but none of my various groups of friends was into it and I was a bit meh about the online version. But there’s a monthly session at the library I work at, so I took the plunge recently and dove in. The DM and the party were super welcoming and I’m really looking forward to more!

I had to make two characters - one DnD (5e, Forgotten Realms), and another for a French RPG called Les terres d’Arran, with another DM (a player is setting up his very first campaign). Everyone had to make a character for that last one, and between that and the fact that they had to finish the arc before I met the DnD party I didn’t get to roll a die, but I did get to play both characters and get things started and it was sooo fun 💜

So here are my characters:

On the left, Malva Chaumette, middle-aged halfling bard, who left her village and family a relatively short time ago to follow a more experienced bard. She’s sweet and unassuming and very self-conscious (it gets better when she’s playing) and basically a natural born auntie. She went into town and was accosted by a kid in rags asking whether she was a real musician and could play well (her answer: “I hope so” :D). She followed him, half-expecting to be mugged in an alley - to her surprise, the kid worked for an innkeeper seeking a musician, and after a bit of haggling she got a job (and room and board) for 5 copper a day, meals included. We’ll see where she goes from there! (I copied the background from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, btw.)

And then on the left, you’ve got Zinna Millybrook, my disaster child, a flamboyant lesbian mage whose quest in life is finding the perfect mage hat (and incidentally find her family; she was found in a hay cart when she was a kid and grew up on the streets, before a human mage took her as her apprentice - she’s the only person Zinna trusts). When the story start, she’s in a tavern and hears a drunk old dwarf blather about a “stone tree” and treasure, three dwarves saying they’ll check it out in the morning, and a bunch of strangers setting up a party to arrive first. So she heavily flirts with the barmaid to convince her to get the dwarves drunk (and also just because) before leaving with the party - but who knows what will happen if they do find the treasure :D

Yeah, that's the part that's honestly confusing to me. At least one of them should get a Twitter account and just look at the inferno that I've set over there. It's fucking glorious, and more victims of theirs are popping up in my DMs to thank me. They're warming their hands on the fire we've set and it's providing comfort to people who didn't think they'd ever receive it.

The responses to PZ's bullshit are almost universally revulsion and horror.

As for strategy and taking a while on this...

Yes, we sat on Noehflake's screenshots for a bit until they streamed about it. Then we dropped it mid-stream and watched them continue to drop lie after lie that they didn't realize we'd already dropped the proof against. It was beautiful.

Yes, I was sitting on Spawn's screenshots for months, waiting for the right time because it was an incredibly sensitive and risky thing to release. We waited for the right time, and when I did decide to release them, it finally accomplished exactly what I'd been waiting for.

And yes, it took me this long to get to the AH2 doc, but that arose from finally prepping for Lux' stream, which took a while to build towards.

And then we dropped it yesterday and it's been fucking sublime.

People want to criticize me for not focusing on Poppy's sexual abuse of someone as a teenager. Let me ask something: after you make that initial accusation, if the person you're speaking to doesn't think it's enough or wants more details, what's your move? All you have is that initial accusation. You have no rock-solid backing other than "this is wrong."

Granted, that should be enough, but in the real world, it's NOT.

You know what does work? How about receipts of Poppy being weird towards a bunch of people that she said were under her age limit? How about receipts of how she abused her kid as recently as last year? How about receipts of how she blackmailed an immigrant into silence publicly? How about receipts showing how this whole campaign against Neohflake has been utter bullshit?

How about working with a streamer with 30k+ followers and several ex-PZ mods to craft the most effective message possible?

But yeah, walk out there and throw out "Poppy raped her cousin when she was a teenager!" and watch her go "yeah, I'm very open about that."

You don't get people like this on things like that. She successfully kept people against Dormiyu by not denying the accusations at all, just reversing them and mocking their validity. She will swipe that accusation away like a fly.

Again, my tactics have been getting fucking results. It's plain as day. Everyone else sees it. All they have to do is open their eyes and actually LOOK.

I may be fueled by outrage, but it doesn't define my strategy. I'm a fucking tactician and all you have to do is look at my results to see that I'm fucking good at it.

Taking a more measured approach is not the same as "hiding shit."

And again: my approach has been working.

In the end, that's more powerful evidence than any fucking argument they have trying to blame their mania on me.

So yeah. Thank you for seeing what should be obvious to so many. Thanks for writing in. Thanks for your support. 💜

It had been an eternity since the smell of wood and polish had touched her nose. It has been way too long... "Mrs Pucey, it's nice to see you again after all these years!" Ollivander greeted his customer and former apprentice. Suddenly the thought of how sad and unfortunate it was that she had broken off her apprenticeship passed through his head. She was a such talented witch when it came to dealing with wands finding their wizard!

"It's also nice to see you again, Mr Ollivander.", Sierra replied. She gave the wand maker a smile and tore him out of his thoughts with her voice. He immediately noticed that her smile was covered by a sad shadow.

"But the name is no longer Pucey! It's been Ms Malfoy again for a few months now.", Sierra explained. This explained the sad smile on her lips. Ollivander gave the young woman an encouraging look. "I'm sorry.", Ollivander replied honestly. Then the older man was seized by curiosity, "If I may allow myself the question, how did it come to this? On your last visit, everything was fine and you were still in love." A sigh came over Sierra's lips. Her last visit at Ollivander’s was a while ago. At least three years! Since then, a lot has changed in her family environment. That was already a year ago...

"That's what I thought.", Sierra finally confessed. "But apparently a woman who has given birth to two children is neither attractive nor worth anything. Otherwise you wouldn't cheat on them several times and that over the past two years!" A crooked and sad smile sat on her lips. Ollivander opened his mouth to comfort his former apprentice, but the doorbell rang.  Sierra's 11-year-old daughter hesitantly pushed her way through the store. The mother stretched out her hand to her child, which the young witch immediately took. Then she turned to the wand maker one last time. "You can't do anything about it.", Sierra added. "But it's been a few months now and I'm fine. I have made my peace with it." Sierra squeezed her daughter Lucy's hand before gently grabbing her shoulders and pushing her gently into Ollivander's direction. "Just go with him! Mr Ollivander will introduce you to some wands. You know how this works." Lucy nodded. "The magic wand chooses the wizard.", she quietly quoted her mother and also the well-known wand maker because it is what he always say. Sierra nodded. "Exactly.", Sierra confirmed her daughter. After these words, Lucy disappeared between the high shelves. Ollivander did not   follow the girl directly. Before Ollivander went after the witch, he turned to Sierra once again. "If anyone is worthless, it's Adrian and his disgusting behavior and not a strong woman like you, Ms Malfoy!", he wanted to get of his chest. Now a honest smile lit up Sierra's face. "Thank you, Mr Ollivander." It came from the bottom of her heart, but there was still something on her tongue. "But not feeling useless and worthless after such an experience is almost impossible. He also called me worthless countless times!"

Sierra happily winked at her old schoolmate. "What an honor!", the young mother laughed. "Harry Potter. The ex-chosen one and the best Auror of the ministry. And not to forget the husband of the most famous Quidditch player in England." Embarrassed, Harry rubbed his neck and smiled crookedly. "Former auror and ex-husband.", he confessed. Suddenly, Sierra's grin became very soft. "I'm sorry." But Harry waved it off. Apparently, he didn't take it so hard. "You don't have to be!", he clarified. "Ginny has now known for a year and a half that she likes women and she has also found a girlfriend in Luna. I am happy for them! For both of them. I want her to be happy." Sierra nodded. "Of course! It's glad that Ginny knows that now. But you also seem to be doing well," she noted. "Yes," Harry affirmed. "I loved her very much, but if she's not happy in a marriage with a man, I won't hold her back. And in addition, I have also noticed that I only love her as my best friend and that’s what we are. Everyone is happy and that's the main thing." With these words the topic didn’t need to be discussed more for both divorced wizards. "That's really good to hear! But what are you doing here, if I may ask?", asked Sierra. As casually as possible, she stuck a few strands of hair behind her ear. This was an attempt to distract from her suddenly heated cheeks. Harry always had the same effect on her as when she was at school. It was incredible! "On my very last mission, my magic wand broke! But as the new teacher in Hogwarts, it's beneficial to have a functioning wand.", Harry said, laughing. Sierra giggled along. It was as if she was 16 again! "Teacher at Hogwarts?", she tried to focus on Harry's words. The experienced wizard nodded proudly. It couldn't fill him with more pride than to be able to teach in the first place he had called his home! "In front of you stands the new teacher for defense against the Dark Arts! It is rumored that he will be teaching at Hogwarts for more than a year because he survived death twice.", Harry joked. Laughing, Sierra shook her head and wiped her forehead. "There is clearly no better teacher for these lessons than you! And now I know that my child will have the perfect teacher for such an important subject. I still vividly remember the hours of Dumbledore's army!" A wheez escaped Harry at this statement. Then he shook his head as if he couldn't believe it. But no one knew what he couldn't believe until Harry said it out loud! "After all these years, I still can't believe that a Malfoy has joined us!" For this, Harry received a clearly annoyed look from Sierra. Her father's reputation and her brother's former reputation haunted the woman through every situation in her life. As if she had to be the same just because of that cursed last name... Cursed in the truest sense of the word! "I'm sorry to get you off your dream cloud, but I'm not my dad or the teen Draco!", Sierra snapped and crossed her arms. "And if I may remind you of my mother, who also owns the surname Malfoy." From both wizards, the thoughts wandered to the story between Narcissa and Harry, when she had protected him from Voldemort. Sierra had stood right next to her mother and heard every single word! Now Harry's features were flooded with regret. "I know and I'm sorry! That was another stupid thought that didn't let go of me in my youth and apparently hasn't let go of it completely even now.", added the well-known Potter.  After a moment of silence, Harry spoke again. "I'm looking already forward to seeing you again, Sierra." A tender smile pulled the corners of his mouth upwards. Sierra's anger smoked away and she returned his smile.  "I feel the same way!"

Suddenly, Harry chuckled quietly. Sierra tilted her head because she didn't understand why he had started laughing. But she didn't have to ask, as Harry clarified it on his own. "I just had to think about our school days.", he said, looking dreamily into the air. "We really had a lot of beautiful moments together. Also some who were very tense!" You could see that he actually wanted to say something. Instead, he bit his lip and slid his fingers embarrassed as he felt through his raven-black hair. Harry let his gaze wander through the store before he managed to. "Because of this tension, Fred and George always said that you were in love with me.", Harry concluded what he had started. Sierra giggled. "Funny that you mention it! I actually had quite a crush on you in our fifth year." “Mommy! Let's go now. I already have my wand!", Lucy squealed and pukked her mother's sleeve. Sierra looked at her daughter with a mild smile, while Lucy continued to talk to her. But first, the witch turned again to her friend. "Goodbye, Harry! Hopefully we'll see each other again." Harry couldn't respond because Lucy mercilessly pulled her mother out of the business. Now Harry could only wave at Sierra.

A few days later, an owl fluttered through one of the high windows of the Malfoy residence. Sierra lived there with her two daughters since the divorce. Draco and her mom lived in other houses and their dad was still in Azkaban. So the three witches had the whole property to themselves! Frowning, Sierra rose and took the letter from the bird's beak. From whom should the letter be? She had only written a letter to her mother and brother yesterday. She removed the wax seal, which did not belong to anyone in her family, and took the parchment from its envelope.

Dear Sierra,

I can't believe I'm saying something like that because I've always hated divination. But I think it was a sign that we met each other today. I decided for myself this morning that I am ready again for a new love or at least to meet new people in this regard! An hour later you are standing right in front of me. The girl - today, of course, the woman - with I was head over heels in love in the fourth and fifth year! When I saw you, all the old feelings came right back and I thought maybe it was finally my chance. Or our chance! However, you want to see it. But now I've talked enough about it! I am writing you this letter because I wanted to ask you if you are interested in going out with me. Maybe it's stupid to calculate my chances just because you said that you felt something for me at the time!

It was really nice to meet you again after all these years!

Her heart tensed as Sierra laid down the letter. It was filled with such pretty, but he was not the first man in her life to wrap her around her finger with wonderful words. Sierra was not willing to give away her heart again! Above all, she could not expect her children to let someone into their hearts who might disappear. She didn't want to take the risk! Not when it was about her children. With a heavy heart, Sierra picked up parchment and feather to write Harry an answer.

Dear Harry,

This letter is probably not the answer you expected, but it wouldn't be fair to write anything else. I'm sorry, but I have to disappoint you! Unfortunately, I cannot accept this kind of invitation. But if you would like that, we could meet for a coffee. On friendship basis, of course, I would be happy to see you again! It has been far too long.

After she had written the short letter and the ink had dried on the parchment, she gave the sealed envelope to the recovered owl. For Sierra, this wasn’t a matter of fact anymore. At least for her mind. Her heart and soul cried in silence.

The lightning lit up the entire sky for a second, which was shrouded in thunder clouds. When the thunder sounded just a blink later, Sierra was glad that her 5-year-old Amy was already sleeping soundly and was keeping her midday rest. Amy was terrified of thunderstorms and after that hectic morning, Sierra needed a moment to take a deep breath. As soon as she had dropped on the armchair, a heavy knock echoed through the villa. A soft sigh slipped over Sierra's lips as she walked to the door. All the exhaustion was suddenly forgotten when the tired mother opened the door and froze. Harry Potter was on her doorstep! "Harry?!", she gasped. "What are you doing here?" "I don't get it! I just don't understand your answer.", it burst out of the completely soaked Harry, who immediately stormed into the house. Confused, Sierra followed her old schoolmate into the dining room, which he headed for. "I'm confused. What exactly don't you understand?", Sierra replied. Harry abruptly turned to the young woman. "I don't understand why you wrote this to me. Why can't you go out with me? It sounds like you want to in your letter, but something is holding you back. If it is not like this, please look me in the eye and tell me that and I will leave. But if it's not like that, please tell me the truth!" demanded Harry to know. Passion blazed in his eyes and it also flared up in Sierra. "It just doesn’t work. Okay?!" Harry shook his head. "Nothing is okay! You're dodging me." he accused his former classmate. Then she snorted. "Yeah and?" His manner made them defiant. What he could do, she could do anyway! "I know you're hiding something from me! I just don't understand why." This caused all the dams in Sierra to break. "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I WON'T GO OUT WITH YOU?! MY HUSBAND CHEATED ON ME FOR YEARS! I MARRIED HIM AT THE DEMAND OF MY FAMILY, FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM, HAD CHILDREN; WHICH I LOVE ABOVE ALL AND ALL THIS TO BE LIED TO AND CHEATED ON." Tears poured down her face and she fell to her knees. Sierra lacked the strength to keep on his feet. It was just too much!  "I can't trust myself with love. Not again! And I can't let my kids be hurt by me possibly being left by someone I might love again."

Yes!!! A thousand times yes!! I love talking to people, both in character and out- and hearing people ramble about their muses is so much fun to me!! My askbox and Tumblr DMs are always open- and I'll happily give my Discord if you'd like to talk on there too!! 💜 (I can only hope I come across as approachable as I'd like to be- but if you're shy or anxious, I'll never mind reaching out first! ☺️)

I'm always open to learning what I can do better!! I'm a bit newer to the rp scene than most, and might make silly mistakes from time to time; if there's ever anything I can change, like making certain things easier to read, formatting posts better, or triggering certain content, I'm always willing to listen and accommodate you! I want to make sure that this is fun and safe for others, too!!

What's your writing style like? How frequently should I expect replies?

I'm so glad you asked!!! My writing style is fluid, and I can match lengths- I always try to have at least two paragraphs!! (I can also get a little verbose and write replies that look a little more like research papers- but there's no pressure to match lengths!! I can usually work with just about anything!! 😊) I try to respond as early as I conveniently can, even if my activity can be a little sporadic- especially when my exam seasons roll around, or if I’m having a health flare up!! I'll never hound you for replies- and I'll always understand if you have low muse, or just need to drop a thread! I (hope) I’m a really low maintenance rp partner; you could vanish for a whole year and come back, and I’d still be more than happy to write with you!

Is shipping okay?

Absolutely!!! 🥺 Angel's an interesting sort of muse, and it would definitely have to rely on chemistry if it ever did happen- but nothing's impossible, and I'm always open to plotting something out with you!

Having seen your blog flourish from the beginning, it’s a little crazy to think that you’re almost at the 2022 timeline. I can’t imagine the amount of time you’ve spent on researching all of this content, while still structuring it in such away for us readers to be able to digest all of these moments in a clear and concise way.

I generally think of your masterlist as just that, an informative hub of jikook information, and what I admire most is that you keep your biased thoughts out of just providing information. So my questions to you are

1. How does it feel to know that you’re almost at the 2022 timeline

2. Was there a timeline that you found difficult/hard to find information for?. And if there wasn’t one, did you ever find yourself in a slump or thought it was too much to keep the blog going?.

3. From your pov, given the extensive research you’ve done, is there a time that YOU think jikook decided to be together?. As in a relationship with one another, and why is that your pov.

4. Was there ever a time during the timeline that you felt like something was amiss with jikook - not asking for drama but more so if you felt like there might have been a moment when you thought, maybe they are just really good friends.

5. What are you going to do to celebrate once you’re caught up to 2022?

6. Is there anything of this process that made it fun for you?.

7. What is your favorite jikook moment, if you could choose just one.

Hello! It's @lagalaxiedemochi here. Shan asked me to answer this ask since I've been doing the timeline since she went on hiatus in 2020.

First of all, thank you so much for reading and enjoying the timeline, we really appreciate to see such sweet asks and sweet comments on the posts, it makes all our work worth it. So moving on to your questions...

1. It feels amazing. I got to see most of BTS content and by doing this my admiration for them only keeps growing. It is great to know that the timeline became a source of information for jikookers. I hope that I can keep doing it for a long time.

2. Old content is a little harder to find, and paid content is also a bit difficult. There were some parts of some of the Memories and some Run behinds I couldn't find at all. Japanese content can be difficult to find sometimes as well. But everytime I struggle with finding something, our friends @wingzie and @jkjms help us with it. If timeline readers notice anything we missed, they are also free to DM us.

3. I believe 2015 had the most notable shift between them, there was some "I'm crushing on you" mood coming from both of them, in my opinion. JK's shy behavior on this interview was one of the moments that stood out for me. So I believe they might have acted on their feelings on that year.

4. When I started doing the timeline, I was ready to find moments that would make me think they were just really good friends, and it is a possibility, since nothing is confirmed or denied by them. But the more I go through all BTS content, the more I believe there's something beyond friendship and the more I support them. I'm in my late 20's, I've been in love, I was in a very long relationship before, and I do see all the elements and the evolution of a romantic relationship there.

5. I don't know, but I'm taking any suggestions. :)

6. The whole process is a lot of fun for me. Just getting home from work and watching their content is very relaxing and comforting.

7. This is a difficult one. I love when even though he is tired, JK gives Jimin piggyback rides after concerts and Jimin seems so happy about it, like this time. The 2020 MMA Black Swan performance and the Tokyo trip also go the list of favorite moments.

Hi Emily, I really hope this is okay to ask, I find your blog very helpful and would appreciate your insight a lot if you feel comfortable with answering. I feel very much alone in this because even when I had Catholic friends back in high school (I went to a Catholic private school), no one in my group of friends had a Catholic upbringing as strict as mine. Most of the people in my school were just there due to being "rich kids" tbh, none of them really had Catholicism ingrained in them outside of school, and they still got to enjoy stuff like Halloween, rock music, and fantasy books, while those are considered "sins" by my mom.

Anyway, the main point of my question is how do you deal with Holy Week? I had been trying to privately practice "anti-Lent" this year but I find that once it actually gets to Holy Week, things get HORRIBLE for me.

I still live with my mom who's very Catholic, she already gave me a hard time on Palm Sunday, but the day I'm really afraid of is Good Friday since she always gets extremely unstable during Good Friday (crying, talking about demons being in our house, making sure that everyone around her is mourning properly, etc.) and there's no real way for me to leave. I just have a bad feeling that this year is going to be even worse compared to previous years (we currently have some bad stuff going on in our family, like illness, conflicts with other family members, and just generally a lot of day-to-day annoyances that of course are always the fault of 'demons' which she blames on me supposedly 'inviting' into our home). She has been really out of touch with reality lately, even before Holy Week started, I won't go into everything she says, but she is having hallucinations related to demonic entities 'invading' our home and doesn't want to seek help because she "trusts God, not humans." I'm sorry this might sound like a heavy topic but I really need advice from someone who understands what this is like. Do you have any coping tips you could share since I really don't have a support system? Or at least some reassurance that I'm not the only one with trauma surrounding Holy Week, and in particular the day of Good Friday? Thank you so much, take care.

In terms of coping without an irl support system, I would recommend looking for community online - Facebook, Discord, etc. These things were helpful to me during my deconstruction.

This sounds like a really challenging situation, and I'm sorry that you're experiencing this.

You are absolutely not alone. Even 5 years out of the church and living away from my family, Holy Week can still trigger me intensely.

I am lucky that I have friends and some family who understand and that I can talk to about it. And when the religious trauma really hits, I go on here or in some of my Facebook groups to remind myself I'm not alone, I blast music, and I write.

A few housekeeping notes! I'm still catching up on everything because the previously mentioned chronic kiddo condition landed us in the hospital for a few days--it's GI related so I'll spare you the nasty details but suffice it to say it was unpleasant but not serious and she's totally fine now, with some hope that things will improve from here now that we've dealt with this issue. We're back home now with a pile of new stuffies the nurses gave her because she's excellent at looking pitiful (plus a GIANT unicorn balloon that my mother-in-law sent wtf do you know how creepy it was waking up in the middle of the night with that thing bobbing in a corner of the room but the squirt loved it so I can't complain out loud 😂).

I wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes and the reblogs and nice things everyone said about the stories! There were four pieces posted and you can check the birthday big bang tag if you might have missed one (I use the same tag every year so there are more than four stories in the tag, but the most recent four are from this year).
