My favorite recurring dream is when I'm in this store that just has everything I could possibly want. Endless perfumes, antique lamps and ribbons, homemade blankets and sweaters, dresses from the 60s in exactly my size, Russian candies, interesting liquors, candles that smell exactly like the lakeside....and I am taking everything I want and putting it in my cart and I confidently walk out the door to my car with my loot and the employees are smiling and waving at me as I pull away like I didn't just steal thousands of dollars worth of items

I am TELLING you, nervous young adult, that truly it is so easy to do scary shit you're unfamiliar with if you TELL people you don't know what to do. I prommy literally every other adult is doing the same thing. Spent 45 minutes this morning explaining everything I didn't know how to do to a colleague and she went "Oh word here's my aids I use" and now my entire built up list of stressful tasks is like lol DONE

Maybe a long shot, but does anyone happen to have advice for going to a pawn shop? My gf and I found some things we think we can sell but we don't want to get screwed over and I... don't really know how to avoid that. Like when I go to the mechanic I dress and act more masc and try to do research + talk to people who know cars about the issues I'm having first so it sounds like I know what I'm talking about. went to my cousins wedding over the weekend and had honest-to-god fun for the first time in a while due to this indian wedding tradition where the bride's side of the family conspires to steal the groom's shoes and then make him pay a crazy amount of money to get them back. it was a blast but then my parents and also my cousin's mom said something about how they got emotional about seeing me actually be happy for once and now i just feel cringe and embarrassed
