Ever since my eyes have been opened to what some of these so called holidays really represent, I refuse to be a part of any of it. The history books will tell you that #Thanksgiving was a day that #Europeans and #NativeAmericans shared food on this day but what actually happened is that a country was stolen and this crime produced countless murders, rapes, & destruction to people that just wanted to live on the land that was rightfully theirs. Just a picture from today as I reflect... one of the coolest things about grinding is being able to look at the pile of steel you just shaped into something. Hopefully something that can bring joy, safety, confidence or even as an investment if cash gets tight. Raw materials, given a human touch for a real reason. Not a throwaway knife, not another cookie cutter design, not something lost in the bottom of a glove box. Value. Something I think is lacking in society today is value. Everything is disposable, from clothes to relationships to even cars and houses. What brings value to a life anymore?
