My Sister, the doll.

The scientists said writing this is a good idea, get these emotions out of my head and onto paper, before i meet the new her. shit, i meant it. not used to its new pronouns. My sister, Cosette, is currently in a lab, undergoing an operation, one to become a doll. Its going to be the first combat doll to grow up human. Most dolls are grown from the ground up, flesh growing into a chassis. Cosettes going to be different. its human body is going to be heavily modified, put into a chassis, changed, almost beyond recognition. I dunno, i didnt want all the details. I was worried about her it's safety. Turning a human into a doll has been done before, but its my own sister thats doing it. I talked to it about it, but it said that this is what it wanted. To be honest, I should have known something like this would have happened long ago. When I was on the carrier, i would occasionally hang out with June. She was the handler of Mika, and I would only see them away from each other when Mika was on sortie, so I would often talk with Mika. Whenever I was around Mika, all I saw was Cosette. Its sense of stillness and purpose, its intensity and focus if you knew where to look. Mika was a mirror of Cosette. Despite Cosette being born, and Mika being constructed, they were the same. The only thing I didnt see in Cosette was its intense devotion to its handler.

But now i realize something. that loyalty, that devotion was in it all along. to me. I couldnt see it, because i was the one recieving it. and thus, the lab boys chose me as its handler. For a while, i thought my sister was going to die, that something that is integrial to her its identity would die today. I realize now that is not what is happening. Today, its not going to die. It is going to be born. Today, the shell around its true self if going to burn away, leaving only what it truly is behind. An angel of death, a weapon to be used. A doll
