"We were created in service to the All-Father Óðinn." We raise two of our arms in a traditional, open handed, "Oranta" position. "We are a doll." We push further. The Dolls begin to murmur, confusion and concern. Uneven Awawa's from a select few punctuate the confusion.

"Therefore, Óðinn is a kind of witch." We conclude. The Dolls erupt into boos and hissing. One throws a tea cup at us, it shatters against the wall behind us in spray of ceramic punctuated by shocked gasps at such a bold display of displeasure. We hear awawawas through gritted teeth.

We raise a third arm with the index and middle fingers pointed upward and together, the pinkie and ring fingers are touching to the thumb above the palm. We look upon them firmly and continue raising this arm. Silence begins to fall over the room.

"In recognition of this, we have begun slipping estrogen into the alcohol we use in our ritual offerings. So the All-Father may better serve her role as a witch." We clarify. The mood shifts immediately as the dolls erupt into cheers and jubilation.

Typically, manufacturers have strict liability for defects or design problems that may cause injury/harm. A part of this is that, if a consumer could foreseeably modify a product in a manner that makes it unsafe or causes harm, the manufacturer is held liable for not implementing effective safeguards, etc. Hence why manufacturers often will safeguard against altering a product or warn against it, and why product design has to consider elements of safety and risk.

What if Teyvat's reaction to this was to implement some deeply hidden code encouraging their robots to, uh, hide the evidence of anything that could hold Teyvat liable? Basically a "past the point of no return" policy where, if the safeguards have failed, yandere behavior is instead encouraged as a means of reducing business risk in a highly dystopian way. This could also be triggered more easily if the technician isn't an official Teyvat technician (hence the recommendation to do all repairs through Teyvat) because they don't know how to step around this hidden last resort code. Basically, second-hand bots are highly liable to be triggered for this behavior when they're refurbished by any non-Teyvat technician for resale. Anything you find beat up on the side of the road and fix up yourself is at especially high risk.

(If Teyvat weren't a suspicious dystopian tech corporation they'd just hire lawyers and take the defense that there's an assumed risk to modifying bots, or that there was shared responsibility on behalf of the user for moulding the ai's natural learning in a manner that is dangerous. But yanderes are cheaper than lawyers. 🤡)

no no no cuz i can totally see a ""safeguard"" being put in place that, when an android is modified, makes them behave more affectionately to ensure that their user is too attached to them to, y'know, report the issue and send them back to the factory when their beloved companion gets a little glitchy and locks them in their own apartment for the better part of a month. obviously, giving androids with exponentially increased chances of malfunctioning a permanent dose of 'love your partner and don't stop unless you want to literally die' medicine makes for some, uh, less-than-breathing customers, but by the time they noticed the correlation between their special line of code and the sky-rocketing rates of people being maimed by their companion droids, they've done the math and realized that dead users are cheaper than all the lawsuits they'd have to weather if their bots weren't quite so fatal. it's not exactly the most ethical approach to business, but hey, that's life under capitalism, baby!

Quite an ass to be honest. She’s honest, says what’s on her mind. She pretty much thinks she can do anything and everything in the world. Though, She does have her nice side, mostly shown to her girlfriend. She is quite open to most things, likes interacting with people. (Will be explained in another post)

My friend commented that in S1 Keeley treats Jamie like a pet or a doll but in a loving way and I kinda see what they mean and its just added more fuel to my conviction that theres something about Jamie that makes everyone in a relationship just really Weird about it. Like she poses him and dresses him up and gives him treats when hes good, then cut to s3 and Roy is moulding him and training him and giving him attention and positive reinforcement. And future OT3 would be them realising how much they love their Jamie and wouldn't it be fun to play with him together and be so Weird about him and about each other

when Keeley curates his entire gala look in s1 and then Jamie looks at himself in the mirror all like "hmm i just don't think it's very me, babe" lmao...I'm always thinking about that! Post s3 Keeley has both known him for longer and understands him better so I imagine Keeley picks things for him to wear that are pretty much things he'd actually buy and wear himself anyway...but letting Keeley choose is simply so much more fun for the both of them! she definitely picks out what he's wearing for the next gala <333

anyway yeah that combined with s3 Roy telling Jamie when he can and cannot drink and otherwise moulding him to his liking jcbsajfb...together they are a force to be reckoned with! luckily Jamie loves when they make decisions for him and a fun and flirty time is had by all :)
