I’m going to preface this by saying that I’m a shithead 20 y/o and I know I’m not in a good place to speak, however this is eating me up so I must share. Please do not flay me if I am wrong, just tell me and I will listen. I really want to open a dialogue with people, especially my mutuals because I value your perspectives and I want to hear other peoples thoughts.
Regarding the issue Misha speaking on the topic of Palestine and Israel, I don’t agree it was his place to say something on the subject, (personally I don’t feel that celebrities should be brought into politics of or against their own volition in general because it’s messy and can breed miss-information.) however I have seen many bold claims in regards to him, the video, and tweets he posted, and I haven’t seen much of any solid evidence to back up the more extreme claims of racism and him being pro-Israel asides from speculation based upon his verbiage.
The specific things that many people are upset about is his failure to call the situation what is, being genocide, they feel his failure to call it such is the denial of the obvious situation. This isn’t wrong and I do agree that his failure to do so extremely disappointing and upsetting, however, I do not think he is denying genocide, but rather trying to get his foot in the door to try and make Israel sympathizer conceder his stance and plea for cease-fire. He also might have chosen to omit the word genocide because even thought that’s what it is, it hasn’t yet been legally recognized as such yet (as far as I’m aware as of writing this) so it was probably an intentional omission to not stir up arguments surrounding legality and stupid regulations for what legally constitutes genocide. It’s a detached response, but an intentional one, likely intended to help gain the attention of those hung up on not wanting to call it what it is.
With America, being as militaristic as it is, I think his use of the word war crimes, especially stated in such a emphasized manner is there to catch the attention of those US citizens who are more inclined to take war crimes seriously as it is something that could effect them, as well as calling on America’s intense (all be it situational) concept of justice.
He called for cease-fire, which is the most important thing that we can achieve right now and something we all agree upon, but I think the intense response to his wording should be reigned in a bit, death threats are never the solution and fighting over verbiage is distracting from the bigger picture; being the genocide.
This isn’t a post in defense of him, I just wanted to share my thoughts because in issues as horrific and complex as war I believe it’s important to consider the possibility of nuance. Please share your thoughts, I am genuinely wanting to hold a discussion.
Free Palestine.

on a scale of 1 to 10 — 1 being the least and 10 being the most — how confident are you in surviving an imposter sagau situation?
short answer: i, a non-native in terrain i’ve only ever navigated with 1) a glider 2) no fear of death 3) via a vessel 4) with a map, against various well trained armies, all hellbent on killing me? you’re funny.
now, the long answer…
the long answer, of course, depends on your preferred brand of isekai, as well as the various traits within that. i will… attempt at brevity, but cannot make promises. oh, and there’s no particular order to this list.
1) blood. i myself am more inclined to blue over gold, but that doesn’t matter for this topic. what does matter is if its present and if it manifests immediately.
2) teyvat. is the earth on my side? do the plants and animals know it’s me, or do i need to ‘prove’ it? does it resent me for whatever reason? what’s it’s level of influence (which sounds dumb, but do i have the power of earthquakes and storms or just a few animal helpers?)
3) the imposter situation itself. is there a physical imposter already there, and if so what’s their level of influence? origin? i’d rather go against a wayward traveller than celestia’s puppet. do they have powers? how does teyvat react to them, if at all?
4) speaking of, celestia. are they on my side, the fake’s(if there is one), or staying neutral? what brand of sagau are we even using here? i know i made a post about my version of sagau lore, but one of the key changes since then was celestia. what version of lore are we following?
5) teyvat’s people, emphasis on vision wielders. do they have that subconscious Know? do their visions act up? how do the people overall feel about the one on the throne, if there is one? if there isn’t, is celestia involved in their opinions somehow? what about the traveller, or my vessels?
6) my influence. what can i do? do i have creator abilities, and if so do they take time/some other cue to manifest? is it something i train, or just Click one day? what level? is it an element by element basis, like the traveller, or does that not apply to me? do i have an inventory? if so, can i access the character menus? the map? waypoints? can i move my party, still? do statues of the seven heal me, does food heal me, how do hillichurls and various abyssal beings react to me? ancient gods, such as rhodea (i spelled that wrong) or dvalin or that fucker in the sea outside liyue (yeah i. forgot his name) or azhdaha or yo(u?)kai, if i’m in inazuma? where are we in the in-game lore, by the way?
7) teyvat, again, but this time in terms of biology. i have a few headcanons about teyvat, notably that their gravity is lesser (less fall damage), weather less severe (global warming), and is overall much more temperate/cooler/less humid (global warmingx2 and also just a touch of idealism), so do these apply? this ties into the other points about teyvat, i guess: does the earth let me get cold? can i just shelter in dragonspine?
8) plot armor, for lack of better phrasing. will teyvat let me die? oh, and do i get timeloop’d, or kicked back to my world? do i die, go to my world, then go back to teyvat when i sleep/next log on/whatever? again, tying into other points about teyvat, but will it protect me from death? is my skin like impenetrable or something, or whoops, god is dead, sorry. if i revive in teyvat, is it like that one recent piece i did where the earth moves me? what happens when (if?) i die? does teyvat take revenge?
the long answer… is that it depends.

Okay so I’m frustrated.
Nothing serious, just more Arcane discourse lol.
I’ve said before in my “anti caitvi” post that i made awhile ago that I find it very frustrating when people look at Caitlyn Kiramman and immediately go “I don’t like her” without a second thought.
It’s frustrating that Caitlyn can not at all be nuanced because some people just simply don’t want her to be.
It’s unfair and discrediting.
Don’t get me wrong, Caitlyn has messed up, said and done the wrong things (ex. The “bodies in the basement” comment, defending Piltover while arguing with Ekko), but the thing about Caitlyn is that she doesn’t do those things out of malice, but simply out of ignorance.
I get being frustrated with someone’s lack of awareness and wishing they just “got” it, but that’s just unrealistic.
The arc her starting to get it. What else could cou possibly want?
And the other thing???? She’s actively trying to change!
That’s her whole motive.
That’s all she wants.
She WANTS to make a difference and change Piltover for the better.
Some people will look at Caitlyn and go “I hate her cuz she’s a cop 👎🏽” then ignore her breaking the law for (arguably) the greater good.
Maybe that wasn’t her motive in the beginning (i.e. Just wanting to figure out who’s behind the crimes that no one seems to be investigating [though that still seems to be the greater good to me]). Maybe at that point, she didn’t know what she was doing was the right thing.
But once things started clicking, she tried her best to catch up.
Caitlyn wanted to fight. Caitlyn wanted to progress. Caitlyn wanted to make things better.
But too often she’s reduced to “Piltie cop.”
Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand disliking cops. But this seems to be so much more than that.
Caitlyn isn’t a cop to show people that “some cops are good,” she’s a cop to show people that “some cops are stupid and naive before they can fully embrace their privilege and worst traits.”
Caitlyn could have fallen and let herself be trapped under Marcus thumb, get herself on the payroll, start embracing the easy life (i.e. her getting fired and Jayce offering her a job where she could live behind a desk), but she didn’t do any of that.
She disobeyed everyone she was supposed to blindly follow and began to do what she thought was right.
What so many before her failed to do.
Caitlyn became a cop under false and unrealistic expectations, but once the issues and corruption started to look her right in the eye and she couldn’t ignore it, she didn’t.
Even if it went against everything she knew, everything she was taught, she still let herself be educated. Let herself learn.
Yes, cops are bad. Yes, Caitlyn’s naivety and privilege can be frustrating at times.
But these things aren’t all of what she is.
She’s someone who so desperately wants her own agency. To finally mess with Piltover’s stagnancy.
Even when the council completely shut her and Vi down, she was ready to go back and keep fighting (i.e. the Oil and Water scene).
Caitlyn isn’t just her privilege, Caitlyn is the little girl who so badly wants to break out of her mold and make a difference. Show people (Piltover) that she can be better, that she can be more, and that they can too.
She’s the young woman who goes out of her way to investigate, even when heavily advised not to, because that’s what she believes is the right thing to do.
She’s the woman who refuses to turn a blind eye and be complacent.
She’s the woman who’s (arguably) going to be at the head of Piltover’s reform.
Not because she’s a selfish, rotten cop, or because she’ll eventually become a corrupt Sheriff, but because she’s her own person with fears and dreams and questions.
All of Caitlyn’s development is her trying to claw her way out of the right grip Piltover, her parents, Jayce and Marcus all have on her.
Certain people are upset about who Caitlyn is now constantly trying not to be and I just find that frustrating because it, once again, strips her of her agency. Of her choice to be better.
Caitlyn’s naivety doesn’t make her evil, it makes her due for a change.
And changing is all she’s been doing so far.
So why do some of us still try to put her back in the Piltie category when that’s where we all collectively don’t want her to be?
We want her to be better, right? So let’s let the progress happen. It won’t be linear, but it also won’t be nothing.
