Something inky this way comes! The Ink Demonth emerges once again!

The Ink Demonth is a 31-day event dedicated to the game Bendy and the Ink Machine (and other games associated with the Bendy universe). It’s based on daily themes. As long as your creation involves elements from the game along with any interpretation of the respective day’s theme – it counts!

You don’t have to create something for each day, make as many creations as you’d like. However, if you manage to do all 31 of them, you can submit a form to receive a little gift (drawing request)! In the form, you will have to provide a link to each of your posted event submissions (it doesn’t have to be Tumblr, just a site that’s publically accessible!).

how to spot a bot!

Having trouble? Unsure if your followers are bots or not? Don’t worry, and read this handy post! Firstly, the most common kinda of bots are the pornographic type. These bots are made using scripts owners of dodgy websites have bought. At least 20 of them may follow you every day due to the newest bot wave. Their purpose is to get people to click on the links they attach to posts or in reblogs, which lead them to dodgy porn sites very likely filled with a million viruses waiting to infect your device.

So here’s some tips on checking whether it’s a BOT or NOT!

Firstly, check the blog’s name. If it’s a string of random words together, such as the example provided below, it’s very likely a bot. Another one is when the blog’s name is a random name and a bunch of numbers behind it, such as emily1863.

This is an example of a porn bot’s blog.

Another very important thing to check is the profile avatar / icon. If it is the default tumblr avatar show below, or a suggestive picture of a girl / guy (although it’s usually pictures of girls), it’s another sign that it’s a bot.

Here are some default tumblr avatar examples.

Next, check the posts. Are they posting links to other websites with suggestive / inappropriate thumbnails or just links in general in unrelated tags? It’s a bot. OR are they completely empty, with no posts at all? It’s likely that this one is a new bot that hasn’t posted yet. People call these blank blogs, and sometimes they are new users who haven’t posted, or lurkers. I’ll make a more detailed post on them later.

Here’s an example of a bot’s posts. Notice the tags, especially. They are all innocent looking tags, mostly for fandoms and I don’t even want to ask why they put it in the bread tag. It seems to me that these bots take random trending tags and post in them.

Common tags these bots reside in are the lgbt tags, mostly the #aromantic and #asexual tags (why are they posting porn bots in these? the people here literally don’t want to have sex!) and #transgender.

however, they can be found in pretty much any popular tag if you scroll long enough.

Okay, so I’ve found a bot. WHAT DO I DO???

A simple answer is to block so you don’t have to see them anymore, but it's not the best method. If you just block them, they will still stay on the site and clog up people’s dashboards.

instead, here's a better way. you should report AND block! That way, these bots’ accounts will be removed from tumblr!

when you report you’ll be led to this page.

Please report them for spam / bot, NOT sexually explicit material. Reporting them for explicit content will simply get them shadow banned, but their blogs will still be accessible somehow. Also because it’s more spam when they are posting in unrelated tags.

but if you report them for spam, these blogs will be deleted! Hooray!

another great thing is you can flag and block them at the same time, as seen in the image above! Killing two birds with one stone!

I wish I could say that I do a great job of tagging things so people can perfectly filter out what they don’t want to see…but the truth is, I don’t. So here’s the rudimentary system I have in place until I can get organized/motivated and come up with a better one:

My own writing will have the necessary content warnings written at the top of each chapter. So you can see what the content warnings are without having to scroll down, and the content warning list will remain on the post in all future reblogs.

My own writing will (hopefully) have the relevant tags in the initial posting of it. So when I first post something, I’ll try to make sure it has all the tags I think are necessary. However, I may self-reblog the post without carrying the tags over to the reblog. I don’t know whether blocking tags that showed up earlier in the reblog chain hides the reblogs after it or not*, so if it doesn’t the content warnings at the top will be your only warning on the whole post and you may have to read through them to make sure there’s nothing you would normally depend on tags to filter out. *if someone could enlighten me that would be appreciated.

I will generally assume writers I reblog from are responsible for putting their own content warnings. If, unlike me, they did not put content warnings at the top of their post, reblogs of other people’s writing may not have all content properly warned for. Most of these can be filtered out by blocking the tag “#other people’s writing” on my blog. A similar principle goes for visual art, but that will probably usually be tagged "#whump art" (assuming it's whumpy.)

Some kinds of posts may not have warnings. Like prompts, conversations, and memes. So read those at your own risk I guess.

Sometimes, I reblog stuff but lack either the time, the energy, or both to tag it properly, and I just want to stick it on my blog without having to worry about how I should tag it. In order to prevent this from leading to absolute unorganized chaos, otherwise untagged reblogs will often be tagged with “#my tag for things without a tag”. **UPDATE: I am now using "#my tag for things i haven't really tagged yet" instead because it sounds less brusque? I think??** If you want to avoid seeing things that aren’t tagged with proper warnings and stuff, or just want to avoid getting spammed by my random reblogs, you can block those tags.

If there's something you think I should warn for that I am not warning for, please feel free to tell me. I'm relatively new at this so I wouldn't be super surprised if I neglected something without realizing.

The Ruse Rewrite is the newly started Rewrite of Warrior Cats with more fleshed out cultures, a better timeline, and many many changes to the plot.

The past version (called ATOF) is discontinued as I’ve grown uninterested.

It is always ongoing and has no rules. I’ll change big and small events, kill characters, shape family trees for better dynamics, and scrap what I feel needs to be. Some main things are lgbtq representation, messages behind each arc that follow through the plots and characters, and lasting consequences and changes (which wc seems to lack in canon)

All my ideas and culture changes are up to be used, interpreted and taken inspiration by! Though I would like some differences because I put a lot of love into these and like them for their uniqueness.

It is a wilder au and has a lot of changes from canon with a whole new take on the tribe and sisters, bloodclan, naming conventions, Starclan itself, and most clearly the clan’s culture. All posts about BTB will be tagged to make sure it’s alright but it does cover details of canon that are uncomfortable for many like ableism, xenophobia, fascism, and most obviously grooming most clearly in Spottedleaf’s situation. I try to handle these more uncomfortable worrying topics as best I can but I get it’s not something everyone wants to discuss. been so overwhelmed and emotional lately I couldn’t read a single word of yours without my heart aching. I have no idea how I deserve so much love and support from a stranger but I’m so immensely grateful for it. it’s literally balm for the soul to hear someone appreciating me just... trying and wanting somehow. I quite literally agonise over creating something nice for here, you should see my handwritten notes and files and even the amounts of money I spend for graphic tools and assets sometimes and just… it just makes me feel like a failure when it results into nothing.
