All of these feel good work together with the kids quests are really well written but also are a bit awkward for me considering Magius is currently in their "I am the next Virgin Mary and am rotting from the inside out" Era

*lies on the floor*
you know we really love when the dragonfable devs are trying new things and having fun with boss mechanics, but it really feels bad when we run into a main story boss that essentially counters every strategy we know by heart and feels impossible unless we leave and farm for all the best ice resistance items in the game at our level.
#Faye Complains#we're playing the story not the inn#but this feels like an inn boss- aka a boss that feels impossible unless we have a perfect build with 60 or 70% resist to its damage type.#yes we are talking abt the jania bossfight in convergence part two. the newest quest at the time of writing.#if any dragonfable fans who may or may not see this have advice for the bossfight we'll take it#but our go-to strategies have completely fallen flat.#from dragonlord's patience stalling to chaosweaver dpr burst to doomknight horseshit to...#we've tried everything we know.#and it just doesn't work.

They dropped Dungeons & Doomknights on Switch eshop for like 20 bucks RIGHT AFTER we ordered the $100 collector's edition for NES.... On one hand I'm extremely happy that more people get to play a new Artix game since Artix games are my favorite. On the other hand... c'mon.... Aaaaahhh..... AND it's coming to Steam!?

been wanting to make this since (late) 2023
redrew with the Doomknights (original)

So the banner ad didn’t scale down for the mobile browser and it took me multiple minutes to realize that this stock photo of people in business suits was not, in fact, an illustration of what oathbreaker paladins in service to an evil power are supposed to look like
#original#doomknights#azarth#shitpost#argent grimm#mostly just because argent grimm (pictured in centre) was an oathbreaker and became a death knight

Take on Vampires & Ghosts with AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights

AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights action RPG adventure game for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Which is the result of the work and effort from developer Artix Entertainment. Available on Steam with Positive reviews. While having my fair share of experiences with all sorts of Linux titles. Today, I'm diving into AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights, a title that's getting some attention now. Developed by Artix Entertainment and published by Nami Tentou, this release stands out as a unique blend of retro charm and humour. First off, let's talk about what sets AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights apart. This title is a homage to the classic 8-bit era, reminiscent of early NES games. It’s a journey through a pixelated world brimming with a quirky mix of enemies – think vampires, ghosts, and even chicken cows. Yes, you read that right, chicken cows! It's clear that the developers aimed to sprinkle a generous dose of humor into the experience. What's appealing about em>AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights is its sheer size. With over 500 screens across its Overworld and Underworld, it promises a sprawling adventure. Additionally, it includes two bonus games – "ChronoKnight" and "NecroNancy" – something you don’t often see. And for those who like to tweak their experience, there's a range of mods and visual options, including a nostalgic CRT filter.

The storyline centers around Artix, a young hero on a quest to become a Paladin. The narrative kicks off with a familiar trope – returning home to find it destroyed – and propels you into a quest against an undead army. It's a simple yet effective setup that serves as the backdrop for the adventure. However, it's not all smooth sailing. AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeon & DoomKnights has its quirks, and not all of them are charming. While the title starts off with a basic combat system, it evolves into a more complex style reminiscent of Metroidvania. This shift is also welcome but could have been smoother. On the flip side, the humor is a big win. The digital manual and magazine are filled with laughs, bringing a light-hearted touch to the action RPG adventure. But, it's worth noting that some elements like loot and secrets don’t quite hit the mark. So this may leave a bit to be desired. AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & DoomKnights is a mixed bag. It's a nod to the past, packed with humor and a large world to explore, but it stumbles in some areas like gameplay depth. For those who cherish 8-bit nostalgia and a good laugh, it's worth a look. It's a journey through a pixel world that's sure to evoke memories and smiles, even if it doesn't redefine the genre. Priced at $19.99 USD / £16.75 / 19,50€ on Steam. While offering support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC.

i wanna do more drawings of my characters in situations, rather than just always doing solo character renders/designs, so i'm making this poll with a few of the characters that i know people like the most!
also please reply with situations or whatnot i should draw them in! for example if you wanna see art of specific battles between characters!

Ok, so after ranting a bit about my upcoming pathfinder 2e campaign, I figured I might as well make a separate post about it cause I like it so much and It's honestly extremely detailed. It's heavily based on both Dragonfable and FF15
So to start off with, a basic summary. In this world, there are a pair of Divine dragons. Reincarnations of the twin gods that made the world. These twin dragons appear and form a bond with a given person throughout history, usually a member of the line of Somnus, children of Lucien Somnus. These champions usually end up becoming adventurer kings, rulers and wanderers in equal measure, often changing the nature of the realm.
At the start of the campaign, due to an unusual error caused by several magical mishaps, both eggs have split into 3. One group has been hatched by an unnamed hero, and the other by the Doomknight Sepulchure.
The campaign will consist of 2 parties, each playing as the freshly hatched baby dragons. To give them some backstory, divine dragons often inherit the memories and skills of someone who had died before, in order to give themselves a kickstart in life. The parties will be in opposition, at the very least at the beginning, and will be using the Kingmaker kingdoms system to run entire kingdoms to help their war/adventure.
I also have a (frankly VERY detailed) custom world map I've made, based heavily off of dragonfables book 3 map. The kingdoms with stars under them represent the player's starting kingdom spots, and other kingdoms and town are scattered around the map. People who know Artix games will likely recognize several of these places, but there are some that I added for added adventures!
This is my latest and final entry into a series of campaigns I've been running for about 2 years straight. SOme may be excited to learn my previous entry was a cyberpunk campaign where reality reset, and created this world (mechquest reference achieved!), but has been even more chaotic and I'm likely gonna have to summarize hose campaigns at some other point.
My friends are running some games (per my request, I GM'ed through graduation and had a massive case of burnout), and I'll start this campaign once at least the majority of them have finished.

The thing about niche games is that I can usually pinpoint the niche. This is not the case with AdventureQuest 8-Bit: Dungeons & Doomknights. NES-era RPG fans seemed like the likely candidate, but after playing AdventureQuest 8-... netgainers.org

AdventureQuest 3D dropped a new update. Not only can you now equip more than 1 Cross Skill, you can now also equip PVP only skills.
I really hope this isn't a bug that only I've had because this adds so much more freedom to character customization. You can really just create your own personal Hybrid Class now.
Also, side-note, Artix Entertainment is my favorite video game company, and nobody seems to talk about them.
They have a massive library of childhood-defining RPGs that are still getting weekly updates even decades later.
AdventureQuest Worlds was like a another Club Penguin to me, and it's sequel AQ3D perfected what AQW started. Dragonfable was a solid single player adventure, and their new Dungeons & Doomknights game pretty much combined Zelda with Castlevania.

Paperman: Adventure Delivered Review Cons: - Cannot rebind controls. - Had the game lock up a few times usually when loading. - Slow at respawning. - Checkpoints are far apart. - Never sure what can kill you instantly. - The jumping and movement feel sluggish. - Despite camera control, the game will put you into small areas and lock the camera. - Every character makes an annoying noise when jumping. - The game is just not fun to play. - Music in the game just loops the same tune over and over. - When playing solo you cannot quickly swap between characters. - Throwing envelopes is done in a burst-fire manner making it quite hard to use, the combat in general is very slap-happy. - Hit detection in general is off and frustrating. - You can go so far in a level and then realize you need to go back as you need a particular character and then it happens again and again.
