I keep thinking about how all the devout & holy characters (i.e. simeon, jordan, sydney) would react when affected by an aphrodisiac 😵‍💫 (or somehow encountering both corrupted and pure sydney [swoons])

i feel like simeon and sydney would be the most knowledgeable, since:

simeon regularly interacts with demons when in devildom and asmo existing near him.

simeon's read too much to not know methinks. as the chosen exchange student, i doubt he would have been sent without knowing every danger in devildom that may corrupt him or his purity as an angel. he'll know the exact ingredients that go into aphrodisiacs and know the plants by their scientific name (and to avoid them).

i feel like his reaction would be to bunker down in his room alone or with his partner. the moment he senses that holy tummy tingling with a lewd warmth, he's dragging himself into his room. he's not going out in public in such a state, so it's best for him to wait for it to pass or drag you to the bed to handle him.

pillow princess or the prettiest sub to ride, face tucked into your neck and trembling hands holding onto your shoulders. hushed panting as if he's afraid to be heard or unashamed moans when he's in too deep to resist just taking it.

sydney works in a sex shop with his father, so aphrodisiacs wouldn't be unknown to him.

the incenses in the Forbidden Room don't help that fact either when he's corrupt. my love was an absolute beast to our hips in that scene. he knows aphrodisiacs as a concept and where they are now. he won't deny you a trip to the room and reliving that whole 'losing your virginity' bit in there.

A: Doomboop! is a reference to the song 🎶Doombop! By The Toxhards. :D while the story isn't at all a songfic, it fits the theme + characters very closely! :3c

It's a really early nod that the reader/protag isn't super reliable in the narrative, and a chance to peer at Sun's perspective just a little bit. Also any chance to use bird references in terms of narrative or characters I am All Over That!
