Pretty much as soon as the first Chapter of Deltarune came out, people were pointing out how the ending theme 'Don't Forget' came off as very... double meaning-y. It was ambiguous in a way that it could come off as very comforting and heartfelt or very creepy and threatening depending on how you interpret it.
My prediction (based on just, General Vibes of the kind of narrative I think Toby Fox wants to make) has always been is that both the heartwarming and sinister meanings of the song are True and present in the game. There's gonna be some Stuff happening in the game that will make the lyrics of this song come off as very sinister, but also stuff that make it seem like an honest heartfelt song about friends sticking together.
And I think that's pretty much what's been going on, especially with Chapter 4.
Cause while we already had the light running low, and places that we know turning into fantasy and light quite literally shining in our SOUL, the ending of Chapter 4 brought up one very important piece of lyric that wasn't really accounted for before.
The promise in our hearts.
So "Don't Forget" can be interpreted as a song from the Evil Phone Voice and/or the Knight (it's probably Carol Holiday, but I don't wanna make definitive statements before the whole story is concluded cause Toby might have one or more narrative curveballs up his dog-sleeve) reminding Kris that no matter where they are, even in the depths of the Dark Worlds they are bound by whatever Promise they made to follow Evil Phone Voice's plans.
"Don't forget, I'm with you in the dark" would be especially chilling if Carol is the Roaring Knight (or that it's Dess, 'the promise in our hearts' meaning they are both bound by a promise to Carol). It would be basically the Knight singing "hey you better not try anything funny or go off-script because I can and WILL kick your ass".
But, well... this isn't necessarily the only 'Promise' in this game. There are less 'official' and less sinister promises as well. Like Susie's promise to decorate Ralsei's room, and Ralsei's promise to be more honest with Susie and, well...
"Don't Forget" could also easily be about the promises of friendship between the Three Heroes, and their promises to try and prevent whatever terrible fate the Prophecy has given them, and to be there for each other in the Dark.
Especially when you consider the context for the scene where 'the light inside your SOUL' became very literal
was a very heartfelt scene of the friendship and caring both Susie and Ralsei hold for Kris.
In a way, the two interpretations of 'Don't Forget' kinda represent Kris' dilemma at the end of Chapter 4. They're essentially hearing "don't forget, I'm with you in the dark" from both Susie and the Evil Phone Voice.

Parents, Freedom and how Carol Holiday has been present since the beginning
Carol is already climbing up there as my favorite character in chapter 4, if not of the whole game, and we literally just met her lol
But because of this I’ve been thinking about her a lot… and I realized that she’s been foreshadowed since literally the beginning of the game and it’s driving me actually insane.
Like, since the very first chapter, the bosses have all had this thing where they’re just incredibly shitty parents. And when they’re not parents they’re just incredibly shitty irresponsible adults.
In chapter 1 we meet king, a tyrannical ruler who doesn’t think twice about using his young son to further his own ends, and is a slimey coward to fakes remorse to take advantage of ralsei’s good nature.
This trend continues in chapter 2: Queen is an overbearing mother that, while genuinely wanting to do good for the lightners, assumes herself as smarter than them and forces all her decisions on them with no thoughg on whether they even agree.
Tenna is a bit more shaky, but since the TV dark world was created by Kris, I think Tenna is either:
⁃ representing kris’ repressed trauma and loneliness over now being alone in a once warm and lively house, wanting to get those days back (Tenna child of divorce memes are so real)
⁃ More generally Tenna acts like a very troubled parents who uses their kids (the lightners) as emotional support and validation instead of actually dealing with his own insecurities and problems, alienating them in the process
I personally think both of these observations are true.
The titan’s in chapter 4 also produce children versions of themselves, though I think that’s pushing it as the titan is more if a force of distruction than a character.
But who do we get introduced in chapter 4 who fits this theme? Carol Holiday that beautiful soul
The MOMENT, I swear, THE MOMENT SHE WALKS IN, THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE CHANGES IN A DIME. It’s crazy, we’ve met tyrannical rulers and wire-mind controlling dictators, and we were forced to live the TV apocalypse by a man child, but this random, average, boring everyday woman is the single most hatable character in the whole game.
Because the tyrant, the dictator, the manchild, THEY ARE ALL HER!
Since chapter 1, we’ve been establishing this oppressive parental force in the form of the bosses, they’ve all been terrible but ultimately, before ch 4, it’s all been a game, you could defeat them. You can’t defeat Carol, she isn’t a game. Her mere presence is a blizzard. The adults don’t take her seriously, but Noelle, her own daughter, is terrified of her. Her whole character arc in ch 2 was standing up to Queen, but she can’t even look her own mother in the eye.
When it was revealed her and Kris are working together my jaw actually dropped. Because it means she’s been involved in the plot since the very beginning, even though we could never see her. If she’s the knight (which I don’t think she is, but this can’t be dismissed) it wouldn’t be out of pocket that the chapter bosses have been manifesting as they are because of her disposition, since chapter 4 establishes that the lighter that creates a fountain DOES influence the behavior and appearance of the darkners in some way.
Hey, this can work even if the knight is dess (which I believe), because she could be projecting her feelings of her mother on them as she’s making the fountains, intentionally or not.
And like… what better way to represent the game’s theme of denied choices, of having only one path you can follow through regardless of whether it’s actually good for you, of whether it’s beneficial at all, of whether you want it, than through an oppressive parent?
Like, being born is literally the shittiest gamble of all. You need to beg on your hands and knees that you’re gonna end up with decent enough people as your caretakers, because Jesus Christ, if they’re not, you’re FUCKED.
You can obviously still have a great life, but your parents will affect your life FOREVER, you have a part with them with you wherever you go, every single little action from them can cause a shift in you inexperienced soaking child brain that affects your ENTIRE LIFE. And that’s just the people, the economic status they come with can be even more deterministic of the kind of life you can have, most people will stay in the exact social class as their parent. Throughout history you’d have the same exact job as your parent, regardless of your talents or passions.
And goddamn, Carol SUCKS, and she’s obvious she’s got kris right where she wants them. I struggle and won’t put a definition on them yet, since the nature of their relationship is so vague, but I really don’t blame people for interpreting it as grooming, it does NOT look good. Even if kris was super on board on whatever the plan is, it’s obvious that they’re relationship with Susie and Ralsei is deeply affecting them and they not be so keen on going on with everything anymore, but they can’t do anything about it, with or without soul, they’re never free, there’s only 1 path.
I don’t think Carol is going to be complitely unredeemable, she could have very sympathetic motives, but her actions have an horrible effect of every single character in story. Like bro literally all the major characters have parents issues in some way!!!! And all the parents, while good people, fail to properly relate and understand them.
All of them except one: the Old Man.
Since his earliest scenes, this old turtle has proven to be the next best thing to warm bread. He’s so amazing he makes me cry.
He’s a happy, wise, truly free person that doesn’t need anything else from life, and wants the kids to be as fulfilled as he is, but, and this is important: THROUGH THEIR OWN MERITS.
He knows the kids need help, and he gives it to them, but not by imposing his views on them, or acting like he knows better just because he’s older, he knows the kids are smart and he lets them come to their own conclusion naturally.
He encourages them all throughout the chapter to not follow a prophecy just because it has been written, that they can write their own story, that’s the beauty of stories! He’s the FIRST character to suggest that the prophecy doesn’t have to be followed, and he himself as a character is a complete coincidence! He wasn’t meant to appear, since as the representation of a loved one he can only present himself in extremely specific circumstances, but now that he’s there he’s not gonna make any moment go to waste, he’s gonna guide these kids and make amends with his son regardless of the fact he’s literally dead and it wasn’t meant to be!
His appearance could legit be the catalyst for the prophecy being destroyed and it was all an accident. I’m obsessed with it.
There’s also the whole thing with Susie and her freedom, and how that so easily also corresponds to teenage rebellion to authority, she’s writing her own life dammit!!! Fuck you mom!!!! Fuck you society!!!!
This could have been the same for Dess as well at first, before it turned into a more negative, destructive, and selfish kind of freedom, but this is more speculative.
I’m so fucking excited for how this whole thing gets explored, there are so many possibilities and they’re all peak. The lighters could team with knight Dess to defeat Carol, or maybe Carol and the Knight are working together with Kris, or maybe Kris and Carol are working AGAINST the knight but for different reasons that the heroes, it’s all so hype.
These are my two cents but I love stories that take the small, private and personal and turn it into a metaphor for larger, more philosophical themes and I’m so glad deltarune is looking to be one of those stories.
Susie kill that hag.

Why [DELTARUNE CHAPTER 4 SPOILERS] is an effective villain: a premature analysis
Y’all I’m literally posting this and then disappearing from the Internet for however long to avoid the spoiler brigade. I haven’t even finished Chapter 4 yet, there could be more I don’t even know. I just cannot sleep and am so wracked with autistic mania that I HAVE to get my thoughts in order or I will explode
Character creation and analysis have always been some of my greatest passions. I still have my Ceroba Ketsukane analysis sitting on the backburner, 24 pages and counting, that exists purely for my own enjoyment. Storytelling fundamentals are things I keep in mind for everything I consume, especially in the context of characters. That being said, known character development strategies can be attributed to Carol Holiday, and why she works SO WELL as a villain imo
Back when J.K. Rowling wasn’t a piece of shit, I watched an interesting video commenting on how Voldemort could have been made more effective as a villain. Which essentially compared him to Umbridge who usually provokes more vitriol within the community and pitched the idea of him casting some sort of life-altering spell on Hermione. I can’t remember the exact details, but it was something to the effect of memory alteration or brain function suppression, to take away the one thing that mattered most to her in life, which was her academic success and pursuit of knowledge, which we see her strive so passionately for throughout the whole series. And then the reader would have to watch her slog through life with no sense of purpose, a husk of her former self, and allow that rage to fester. He then tied this back to why Umbridge is remembered (ironically, less) fondly, because the slights she commits are targeted specifically on known flaws and vulnerabilities of the main characters
It’s something that I’ve carried with me since because it really does make sense if you stop and think about it. Being like 13 at the time I initially clicked on that video with more curiosity than anything because I thought he worked pretty effectively. But by the end I was like holy shit yeah that would’ve worked SO much better. And the more I think about it, the more it’s really on full display here
The reveal that Carol is a central antagonist made me feel things, sure, but the thing that REALLY got me was seeing her for the first time, even before we knew just how connected she was. When Susie commented on the temperature seeming to fall when she entered, I FELT that. Because the previous chapters made SUCH a big deal about NEVER letting us see her. She was always cooped up in her office with hordes of cronies blocking any entrances commenting on how busy she is, even when confronted with our teenaged protagonist wishing to report a serious danger that not even the police is taking seriously. Within our centralized view, that paints a cold, scheming picture right off the bat
We were given ample time to create a caricature in our minds, shaping itself to whatever bounds it would allow itself to stretch. This is a common practice seen in comic book theory, with the idea that a scene that takes place in a gutter (the space between panels, or in other words, not shown) is infinitely more shocking, gruesome, terrifying, whatever you want it to be than anything that could be shown. Because it allows the viewer to fill in the blanks for themselves, and the human mind has the tendency to jump to the very worst. So seeing her pale fur, sunken eyes, stony glare, frigid colour palette, just HIT because it reinforced EVERYTHING that had been festering in our minds for the past however long. For me, it’s barely even been a year. I can’t even begin to imagine those who have been holding it for upwards of six
We’re already starting off with a bang, but the fact she’s so mysterious is then just used to make the small things we DO learn about her even MORE effective. Noelle is scared to tell her she’s locked out of the house. She doesn’t keep keys of important documents anywhere but home. Rudy is spending what could be his last moments terrified of what will happen to Noelle after he isn’t there to “balance Carol out”, in his words. Noelle explains the feeling of seeking out things that scare her just so she can feel comforted. Speaking as someone else with a poor emotional relationship with her parents, the portrayal of Carol as such is not only harrowing, but very REAL. It’s severe enough to push all the right buttons, but not SO much so that she becomes harder to take seriously because a sense of immersion is lost. THAT is just as important, and it’s what really sells the effectiveness
The fact she wants to bring calamity upon the world is awful, sure. But that’s not why I hate her. I hate her because she’s a shitty mother. I hate her because Noelle has gone through so much because of her. And most of all, I hate her because of the implication that she’s using Dess to get her way, if I’m not going batshit crazy and Dess is the Roaring Knight like is seeming to be implied. Hell, she may have even staged her disappearance to be rid of her, as we know Dess wanted to leave home as soon as possible and take Noelle with her, and also that she was a contrarian to her mother’s strict beliefs and did things she never would have approved of. The reveal that, in her words, “I am always welcome in her home” would only have ever intrigued me if I didn’t know what I do about her. Perhaps she has more sympathetic motives than are being shown to me presently! But because these careful steps were taken to establish her not only as an antagonist, but as a VILLAIN, I felt pure unadulterated disgust. And the desire to be anywhere else and do anything else and listen to anyone else and never do what she wants me to do ever
What truly makes a good villain is the combination between narrative stakes and personal investment. And, more importantly than that, the effort to make it believably, groundely REAL, as opposed to overly blunt or performative. I’ve hated Carol from literally Chapter 1, assuming that she was gonna be an invisible driving force for Noelle’s character development and not much more, and now I just have a vessel to fuel all that rage into because the careful work behind the curtain is being unveiled masterfully. The fact there’s even more to know upcoming has my head spinning because I’m already reeling from just how much I HATE Carol, and just how GOOD that is for the story
If you’ve somehow survived my word salad the size of Mars, please please please leave tour thoughts or whatever else. I’ll see it when I eventually finish everything

very short analysis of "don't forget" in light of chapters 3 and 4
lowkey i think "raise up your bat" and the talk of a promise at the end of chapter 4 that kris apparently made warrants reexamining the lyrics to "don't forget" y'all
When the light is running low and the shadows start to grow And the places that you know seem like fantasy There's a light inside your soul That's still shining in the cold with the truth The promise in our hearts Don't forget, I'm with you in the dark
like. the first two verses are just a description of dark worlds, with darkness outweighing the light and making reality fantastical. that's clear i think
a light inside your soul? that's shining? you mean like in chapter 4? like when it guides you and lets you defeat the titan? wow
in the cold? in the cold, you say? you know, something similar happened to my friend noelle (suppresses a rant about how the snowgrave route might be actually following the intended fate closer despite trying to go against the plot) (there is apparently evidence for this)
"the promise", as i said mentioned in chapter 4, "in out hearts"??? is it just like a very deep one or a promise lodged in your literal heart-shaped soul tho. need more info there chief share with the class
"i'm with you in the dark" is my piece de resistance - raise up your bat references that too in the refrain in the line "come follow me into the dark". that song is drenched in december holiday, and makes don't forget culpable through association
this might just be dess singing it. don't forget i mean. we know her association with music runs deep. does it mean she's somehow present? i must answer: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
anyhow, i think that if there are any people who somehow still weren't convinced dess is lost in the dark, this could be something final that proves it. not to mention those lines of dialogue in the game files in chapter 2 that i didn't get into here. someone fucking get her outttt
#we're halfway through the game. i think we can attempt to cobble something together ab how the song from chapter 1 connects to it all#deltarune#deltarune spoilers#deltarune theory#dess holiday#december holiday#dess#deltarune chapter 4#deltarune chapter 3#my meta#deltarune analysis#deltarune lore#utdr#dr

Question: I notice on your Deltarune posts you focus on a lot about relationships and gender roles and such. May I ask why exactly? Just curious as to why find this aspect of this game so particularly interesting? Is there anything else you find interesting about DR?
well. first of all yes I find many other aspects of DR to be interesting lmao. the discarded vessel, the conversations ralsei and kris have when the player isnt looking, the dreemurr-holiday family split, anything surrounding dess, the connections to undertale, what gaster's goals are, susie's potential, kris's whole everything.... but as I've said before, I don't really like making predictions outside of themes and character dynamics. and I feel that for most of these things, I don't have enough information yet to really dig my teeth in analysis-wise, or else I don't have anything interesting to say that hasn't been said already.
as for why I fixate on the theme of gender so much.......
it just happens to be a theme I'm extremely drawn to and interested in
idk if I've ever vibed with a single character as much as I do noelle. it's like she and all her aesthetics were made for me specifically to love. and noelle is..... at least given the context of the weird route, she's kind of a girl of all time? not just in terms of being a great character, but her position represents femininity in fiction to me in the same way as like, rei ayanami or anthy himemiya. she's very much herself but in the eyes of the narrative and the viewer she becomes every girl to ever live. she's turned into a symbol. all girls are like the rose bride. there's just already so many layers and so much to analyze about it- not just from the game itself but how the audience receives and reacts to the game.
I'm a woman
my absolute favorite genre of video games is JRPGs from the 90s and 00s and let me tell you something about that. I could name more games that I have stopped playing after getting hours in specifically because the way they handled their female characters pissed me off so much, than games that I've come out of feeling like the girls were written at all fairly. how women are written in this genre, and in fantasy at large, is something I already thought about all the time. and deltarune is very much based on games like that! it's not the only thing deltarune is based on but it's the thing I personally have the most experience with. and given what we've been presented with so far, I actually feel pretty confident, for the first time in my life, that deltarune is going to continue to do right by its female characters and have interesting things to say about women in JRPGs, video games, fantasy, and fiction in general, if only in the abstract. it's something I've been dying to see done well specifically in this setting, this genre, and this medium for years. and I'm gonna revel in that as much as I can.
......writing this I forgot that you also said "relationships" and not just gender roles lol but that answer's a lot simpler. I just love watching and writing character interaction. and again, it's something I can iterate on a lot despite not having the full picture yet. it's fun and cool.
#asks#I could honestly dive almost as deep into how certain parts of the fandom treat boys#I know my art gets reposted on reddit and I see what people say about ralsei and berdly there#I feel I have to do more research though. as I am neither a boy nor transgender and those two things intersect a lot here

I am soooo back on my bs It's time for brand new DR analysis/theories :)
I'll be calling this one the Intrusive Thoughts theory
(Massive spoilers for all of Deltarune but especially Ch3 and 4 [and also Undertale to a lesser extent but that game ollld] below the divider...)
So I've always interpreted the choices you get to make in UT and DR as what Frisk and Kris might think of trying - like when you in real life just think of everything you could say or do in a situation, right And the soul - or you, The Player, depending on your opinion - ultimately get the final say in what's going to be said or done (barring some exceptions, of course) Frisk basically just does whatever they're asked. They seem to have no qualms with doing anything "good" or "bad" for almost the entire game. Rarely, you'll see a cute little spin on what was asked, but otherwise it's all very straight forward at the end of the day. They do start showing slightly more of an independent personality in the True Lab, like walking much more slowly toward the thing wobbling in the shower but then walking normally after getting the keycard (thanks to a friend for pointing that one out) or certain choices being chosen during Amalgamate fights that they seem not actually do, even to the Narrator's surprise. So what that ultimately says about Frisk, I do not know.
Kris will often do what they're asked as well, but with a lot more personal flair (honking into the horn thing in Ch2's prison, saying you've seen Ralsei's face before but immediately going "nah it doesn't look the same haha", giving Noelle the present and saying they want a refund, etc.) Sometimes they'll also do their best to not do certain actions, by saying it so quietly they're barely audible or being so literal that you wouldn't be able to open a door if they just turn the knob and nothing else.
So then what could that say, about Kris allowing Snowgrave to happen when it's all said and done - but then also desperately trying to get Noelle out of that situation almost immediately after, in the Light World?
There's two sides to Kris' relationship with Noelle from my perspective: there's the side where they very clearly had some kind of rift between them, probably started by Dess disappearing and only getting worse from there, since they were pretty good friends as kids but have reached the point where Kris being nice feels weird to Noelle - and there's the side where Kris just really, really, really doesn't want Noelle to get hurt because of this dumb shit they may or may not be going through and ultimately can't control.
So perhaps, for some reason, when they see Noelle, there's some dark thought in their mind where they're like "what if I did just scare Noelle away forever, and burned our bridges beyond repair". Out of guilt? Not feeling like they're worth her friendship? Curiosity, from some intrusive thought? Who knows, I don't. I do think Noelle's eagerness to let Kris keep being in her life is important to note too. Outside of the Weird Route, she's never like "oh no it's Kris" or anything, at most she'll think it's weird when Kris is being "conventionally" nice to her (like complimenting her, rather than what she's used to of Kris being a lil shit gremlin). But the Weird Route's specific fixation on Noelle is what's making me think it has something to do with their relationship, even if there's casualties like Berdly who happen to be in the way.
When Susie asks what you and Noelle were talking about, and it's just a blank box. That left a big impression too. I could see that as either Kris being so desperate to not get Susie hurt to that they force their mind to go completely blank in that moment, so their dark thoughts couldn't be exploited at all. Or Considering their strong reactions after giving Noelle back her thorned ring, when you talk/think about Noelle, it may be as simple as them just not wanting to think about her at all anymore…
Now we come to the part where I can no longer be ambiguous about who's "in control" when it comes to the Weird Route. Whether The Player is a literal entity in the game exploiting Kris' thought and actions to ruin Noelle's life, or if there's simply timelines where Kris lets the intrusive thoughts win just once and deeply regrets it right after. While there is a lot to say about the idea that the player is not a literal element/character in the story, for now I'm going to go with the idea that the player is a separate thing controlling Kris to some degree, because it's the easiest way to explain things like "being able to read Noelle's mind"... On that note, another interesting factor is in Chapter 3, when you reach the Shadow Mantle Holder. They have this to say if you'd done the Weird Route up to that point:
When they say "knowing you could say it wasn't really you", do they mean that in a mocking way ("oh yeah all of that wasn't you, suuuuure sure haha") or do they just mean what they say ("even though you couldn't stop it from happening, you know you liked it deep down")
And those intrusive thoughts - choosing violence in a world where they have more brute strength than normal, the idea of using Noelle's ice powers to stop them from even running away anymore, the idea of pushing her away forever by freaking her out beyond simple fun - it may be up to the player to find those thoughts, and exploit them as they please...
But perhaps the most important takeaway from all of this: Kris does care about Noelle. It takes reaching the absolute, possibly killing their best frenemy Berdly, actually scaring Noelle so badly she can't even sleep anymore, that made Kris realize how terrible the world is without her in their life. Even in their weak, soul-less state, they crawl over to Noelle's house on the mere chance that they can fix what the soul had done. And (minus Berdly's situation) it seems to work; Noelle seems to finally feel that the Kris she knew is back, believing that it was all just an insane prank.
But those intrusive thoughts were already exploited, and they may still linger deep down. Either way, everyone being safe...
may not be Kris' choice anymore.

Okay, so i am stuck on the Titan bossfight, so while I wait for my "be good at video games" meter to charge back up, I want to organize my thoughts about the Interesting Things that have happened in ch3+ch4.
Spoilers below the cut!
(also, I did not replay 1 or 2 before starting the new content. This is your warning.) THING NUMBER ONE: The SAVEs being inconsistent.
In UT, and I believe the first two chapters of DR, the SAVE points generally worked like save points generally do. You save a state of the game, and if you die or reload, you go back to that exact saved state. In both of the new chapters, though, we've got places that we reload to which don't have SAVE points. The first water cooler, the Tenna boss fight, the wall-climb to get to the first Fountain, and the Titan fight.
I have absolutely no idea what's up with the water cooler. There doesn't seem to be any doyalistic reason for it (the SAVE point is literally a door away, and there's no dialogue necessary inbetween the SAVE point and the water cooler). Which means it has to be something watsonian, right? Whatever "malevolent force" Kris was picking up on is so strong that it's hijiacking our save file? Terrifying.
The Tenna boss fight makes more sense from both perspectives. Doyalisticly we got a fuckton of exposition before the fight the first time. Nobody wants to sit through that again. In a Watsonian sense, Tenna has had a power up from likely both Spamton and the Knight. I'm not entirely sure if he knows about "us", but even if he doesn't, skipping the 'boring backstory' to get to the fun audience cheering main event seems in character.
The Fountain-climb is odd because we have a SAVE point fairly close by. There's no doyalist reason to not just jump back to that save point. Is it just because the Fountain is so close?
The Titan fight is the weirdest, for me, because we could have absolutely had have a SAVE point on top of the bookshelves. Taking power either from Ralsei and Susie, or something about the darkness, or something about the upcoming fight. Susie does the max-heal everybody anyway, it's not as if we're keeping the climbing-damage into the fight. Is the idea that the Knight is intentionally doing something to "trap" us here? Is the idea that the Titan is just so powerful that it does it on it's own? I don't know!
THING NUMBER TWO: The colored text.
I ✨don't remember✨ if this was a thing in ch1+2, but the color-coding of text in ch4 is pinging a lot of alarm bells for me.
The first time we see it is in the church. Generally it was yellow to represent people we should talk to (Noelle, Alphys, Catty) but the drinks are also colored yellow and red. Alphys wants 25% red and 75% yellow, which is a ratio I am very curious about.
Then, when Noelle and Susie are talking while Kris is running around soulless, both of them color text yellow when talking about ch2 adventures, Ralsei, Kris, and Kris's flirting, and the possibility of flirting lessons. But then, after Susie gets kicked out of the house and Kris is re-souled, Noelle's mom says that to remember that YOU are always welcome here, and the YOU is red.
The obvious analysis is that yellow is for NPCs (including Kris) and red is for us, but (and this gets it's entire own section) I'm not entirely sure Carol was the one on the phone, and I'm not entirely sure Carol is connected to the Knight at all. Also, it's the phrasing of it all. This is the first time that we are meeting Carol. We can't "remember" anything!
(There is another time text is colored red, and it's during the kitchen phone call. Susie/guitar/code/stop. This is an aside, though, because it just Feels Different to me. Closer to just being for emphasis then being a part of... whatever pattern the rest of them are in. But this is also Deltarune and it was created by toby fox, so it might all tie together?)
THING NUMBER THREE: The Soulless Kris Thing.
So, first of all, Kris only banishes us to the gift box after we touch Dess's guitar. It reads to me more like protection-of-memory than anti-information.
But then, soullless Kris (from now on S-less!Kris -> Sless!Kris bc it's almost midnight and I'm tired) gets on the phone with... someone. I mean, I said it's Carol up in Thing Number Two because it's almost certainly her, but you could argue.... for.... Asgore....? I don't know man that can be Thing Number Four. Anyway, Sless!Kriss gets on the phone with someone (I'm not willing to plant a flag on who-called-who right now) and gets some pretty explicit instructions.
Kris knows us pretty well, hides under the bed, and that whole scene plays out. Then, after Susie gets the guitar, we see Kris call probably!Carol. Which is a pretty clear act of being anti-information.
My theory right now, is that... well. We have control over Kris's actions, and a window into their thoughts, because we have control of their SOUL, right? (Which, to be clear, is Bad For Them. We the players aren't morally good in this game at all.) But SOULS do a really fucking lot for folks within the UT/DR universes. Physically, sure, that's why Kris looks LIke That when they become Sless!Kris, but mentally they have to be losing a lot too. I think when they're Sless!Kris they are much more... suggestible, malleable, pliant, then even when they have a soul being controlled by someone else.
To be clear, Kris is absolutely in the right for wanting us Out Of Their Body. I just don't think there's a way to remove us without removing a very large part of themselves (their literal soul) and thus be willing to work with people I don't think they would work with otherwise.
("I don't think Kris would have done that with their soul" is absolutely a claim that needs defending, and I will do that... later. That is an interpretation I am making, it does need to be supported, that just isn't happening right now.)
THING FOUR: Who was on the phone?
This section is NOT who I think the Knight is. I think it's absolutely possible that the Knight is not working alone, that they might have friends, and so who was on the phone =/= who the Knight is.
That being said.
Carol is the obvious answer, is the easy answer. We come into this not liking her, both because of how she treats Noelle and the fact that Toriel doesn't like her. We know that Asgore's uncomfortable with her, and for the fair amount of the audience who has UT!Asgore feelings, we're going to care about how DR!Asgore feels, too.
Then we meet her in person, and those feelings are justified. She's rude to Asgore, very protective of the guitar, and terrible to Susie.
But.
People are shitty to their kids all the time, without any sort of magical reasons. Toriel doesn't like her, but she doesn't like her because she's supporting something that Asgore is doing. I can imagine a lot of things that Toriel wouldn't like Asgore doing that I-as-player would be fine with?
Asgore's uncomfortable with her, but again, plenty of people are shitty to people they hire without magic nonsense entering into it.
AND.
There is no reason for Carol to have called Kris, or for Sless!Kris to have called Carol, right then. Either of those situations work, for Asgore. He could have absolutely been calling to hear how... Kris's day was going, or how they were liking the flowers, or whatever. And Sless!Kris? Kris calling their dad to ask for help or advice due to the whole... Lack Of Soul Thing? I can absolutely see that happening.
Carol as the red herring, and Asgore as twist, that's my guess.
THING FIVE: Who's the Knight?
No fucking idea. Dess is obvious as the missing-character-we-keep-hearing-about, but also Dess is obvious as the missing-charaacter-we-keep-hearing-about, and it would be So Fucking Tasty if it was a character we had already met.
It's definitely not one of the main three or Toriel (they've all been in the same place at the same time), Spamton (the way Tenna talked about the Knight vs. Spamton was Very Different), or Noelle (would have been Way Less Cool about the guitar).
THING SIX: Ralsei and the Prophecy.
The prophecy says Ralsei dies, doesn't it.
That explains the whole "I deserve Zero Comforts Of My Own" thing, as well as the "oh shit they're getting attached" thing we saw in ch3. There's some gesturing towards the idea that it's going to be Susie who does the sacrifice (Ralsei warning her to "not try helping someone on her own", her being Hopeful About The Future Right Now, that fact that it's her section that 'leads in' to the final 'how does this end') but I am hopeful it's not her for a couple of reasons.
The first is that I think Ralsei would have been way more protective of her through the entire game. He only offers to do everything when he's trying to make up for the fact that he won't tell her what it says. That feels oddly blase for his character!
Also, I *need* to replay to grab the specifics of what he said to (about?) us because I know he did, but the fact that he HASN'T done it since then is So Fucking Interesting to me.
-----------------
Alright, that's me done. I will repeat that I *have not finished* chapter four, (probably going to be done tomorrow? We'll see how the titan fight treats me) so if there are Sudden Reveals at the end which makes any (or all!) of these points irrelevant, then... damnit!
Mostly this was just so that i didn't forget half of this tomorrow, and so I can come back once I've replayed and remember my thoughts about these newer chapters.

✨Introduction!🌟
* Greetings.
* I am Chara.
(yes, really)
And this is my Undertale/Deltarune (UT/DR) theory blog! I'm setting this up in advance of the release of ch3&4 of Deltarune, which I've been anticipating for quite some time.
✨About Me - I know more about Chara than anyone! 🌟
I've been a fan of UTDR since UT's release in 2015, meaning I've been a diehard enjoyer since I was 10 years old. It is no understatement to say I grew up with UT and a significant part of my moral code was shaped by the game. I don't think it's an understatement to say I have thought about Chara as a character alone more than 99.9% of UT fans in the world!
I always enjoyed consuming fan content for the game, and as I grew older I adopted a stronger desire to make some of my own. When Chapter 1 of DR released that was my opportunity; I started creating buckets worth of theories and started to try to learn how to draw (which never panned out, mind you). As Chapter 2 released, that was when my interest in DR became a full-on obsession. I live and breathe this game and I have created and consumed more content than the Oblivion Theory interpretation of the Knight (iykyk), and now that ch3&4 are on the horizon, what better opportunity to start a theory blog to host all my work than now? 💖
My Theorising Style - Bold conclusions from safe assumptions
My specific brand of theories largely pertains to analysing the themes of the games or motifs present in certain characters and using them to make hyper-specific predictions. By far my most popular work was a Twitter thread after the 9th anniversary newsletter, positing the possibility that Chara was acting out of fear in the No Mercy route (transcription of which is linked below!).
I don't just limit myself to DR, naturally 💅 While I consider UT to be a complete story I frequently theorise about it too simply to provide a foundation to better understand DR, given their numerous connections and UT's boundless depth.
Some of My Previous Work
=) A small-scale Chara analysis that sums up my chief interpretation of them as a narrative entity 🔪 🌨 What the poem from the Winter 2024 newsletter says about Noelle and Dess' relationship and how it provides potential evidence for Dess being the Knight ⛄ 🧵 Transcription of the aforementioned Twitter thread - How Asriel's letter recontextualises Chara's desires 📧 🔇A full analysis of every Silenced Spamton Sweepstakes page in as much detail as I could muster 💾
My Future Plans - Preparing a portfolio for ch3&4
I have several ideas for new theories and many half-complete drafts already - I will aim to finish them to create a decent corpus of text before ch3&4 finally drops, including one very large theory analysing Dragon Blazers and how it may be used to predict Chapter 3's major plot points. I will also use this account to share interesting information I find that may be of use to anyone interested in examining the circumstances of how DR was made. If that sounds at all interesting, feel free to follow and I'll follow back if you're into UTDR too ✨ I can promise this will be a blog of only the highest-quality UTDR content I can muster for as long as, and long after, DR is relevant in pop culture!

"Secret" Page's Secrets on Spamton Sweepstakes Web Page
I've been analyzing the html code of the various pages on the Spamton Sweepstakes website. Sometimes if you click on the banner ad with a game on it...
...You get Secret Pipis with a gasping crowd sound & the page is called "You Lose." (Nothing of interest in the code.) But sometimes, you get a game where you open wardrobe doors & try to find a "prize."
The cabinets are designated by letters. A Ralsei plush is a "Winner" in PrizeB (the 2nd door). A pipis is in G & again is named "You Lose" (G, huh?....). L is an empty gumball machine, questionably considered a winner. (It's broken; the knob is missing so it can't even be reused like this. What could this be about? A vague snowglobe representation? The ethereal thought of "what is it WAS full of candy or toys"? Tom Servo's head from Mystery Science Theater 3000? 😅)
M is a screenshot of a small part of a wiki page including text that reads "website that lures the viewer deeper and deeper".
A quick Google search came up with the Superbad website. Here's the wiki: (which has already been updated to refer to this secret, lol) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superbad_(website)
Then there's O, which doesn't have the usual prize designation in its code, but instead takes you to a new page (/chair). This is where it got very, very interesting... There's the chair, with what looks like a coat or jacket draped over the back, then if you click it, a creepy black blob stirs over the chair, with a sound called water.ogg. (Again, interesting that the game refers to the song from the sea, & when Kris first falls into the Dark World in Chapter 1, there's a water sound effect...)
The page title for the regular chair, then the darkness-enveloped one, are:
"But what if it could... ...get darker than dark?"
(Pure guessing, but what popped into my head is: Dess left her coat & went out, & may have been consumed by darkness. A deeper layer of darkness...)
When I tried to save either image directly on the web page, it only saved as a tiny pair of circles colored yellow & pink. The code shows those as an "alt", which intercepts the save attempt, & there was a sound called face.ogg mentioned as well.
Then I noticed a variable in the code...
So I found out what the eyes are for... There's a very small (looks like 5%) chance that clicking the chair... causes a jumpscare! I managed to record it. (Sound on for full effect)
WOOO!!!! SCARYYYY!!! XDDDD
(I wonder if that's Spamton... or DEVICE_FRIEND?)
(Not sure the wardrobe prize slot letters mean anything, but just rounding 'em up to point out there's BGLMO. A couple sort-of anagrams can be made from that, but so far none seem meaningful yet at least.)

meta/dump about how much i love deltarune and its friendships just cause why the hell not. copy pasted from discord with some fixes in grammar/formatting but eng is still not my first language so be wary. i wanted to post it here because i think it sums up a lot of my thoughts :)
you know ive had a realization recently due to personal events etc etc and like. i keep thinking about "you can't choose who you are in this world" and how much it connects to the theme of being a teen... that whole vessel thing.
I know I know it's supposed to be an intro to how the player is involved in the story but it reminds me so much of being a teen and trying to change yourself and imagining who you are ideally, but you're still you.
You can't choose who you are, you're just you.
the main cast is a bunch of teens with a bunch of issues regarding family or lack thereof, some unhealthy coping mechanisms and how you act around people that happen When You're A Teen
susie being seen as scary and mean, when she’s everything but that, decides to just accept what people think. act tough so they cant do shit to her. she's scared of being hurt and being vulnerable so she makes sure not to show that.
ralsei has been under pressure to live up to the prophecy best he can all his life, and given that he’s been all alone all his life, he just doesn’t want them to be disappointed. hes so scared of deviating from being the "good person of the group" that any act of selfishness or being rude is practically a foreign thought for him. he even has to learn how to be comfortable with these things.
kris tries to be edgy and all that sometimes bc they like joking around but really they're very meek and soft inside. They're a bit introverted but once you get to know them, they're a solid friend and they aren't afraid to stand up for you and they don't want to step over people's boundaries because that's their friend.
We don't have much info on how kris feels over their parents' divorce but it's probably not good. asriel going away, them probably being a bit distant with noelle ever since dess, and the awkward relationship they have with both parents because the toriel just refuses to be in the same room as asgore anymore. they probably feel like after that divorce, and how everyone got a bit more busy, they don't feel like their own family knows them very well. except for asriel at least but hes still really busy.
And then there's Noelle. the holiday family has all sorts of vague fucked up shit but the most interesting thing to me is dess. she was her guardian, her best friend practically, she defended noelle and looked out for her and even though they all went out in the woods being scared shitless, noelle would still be comforted by her big sis who was there for her. and now she isn't. that sudden loss flipped the balance in the family and, you'd understand, a missing child would not do any good for any of the family members. noelle finds comfort in scary things like a memorium of dess and how she felt about her. she finds them nostalgic, and even sweet, as long as there is someone there. it even plays to how she interacts with people.
ever since dess' loss, carol (noelle’s mom) probably worked her ass off to find her, and after a few years of trying to find her missing daughter, then giving up, deciding to just bury herself in work to forget. there was a lot of things that needed to be done about the town anyway. rudy, like the story, lead the pack of reindeers in the night with a brightly lit red nose. he was the light of the family. kept some of the balance with lighthearted humor, banter and all stuff dad-like. but then he got sick. and then it was noelle and her mom all alone. all that stress probably sucked a lot of emotion from carol to actually properly look out for her child in a caring way and how she's always so busy.. and then noelle is alone again. sometimes she stays over at catti's, shes a close friend, and over the years theyve probably considered her as part of their family.
so all these teens, going through all these problems, they meet each other. they interact, they grow, they become friends. my point is that deltarune as a story has friendship and coming of age as one of its cores and its so beautiful. the cast learns how to make friends, to be vulnerable with one another, to let their guards down and just hang out. they have their first crushes, they find out a few things about themselves, and sort out some of their own issues too.
obviously deltarune isn't finished so this can all be thrown in the gutter and I don't want to be sappy but i truly truly appreciate deltarune as a game and as a story, it's just so personal to me over the past few months and it's so fun to analyze all these characters and explore their pasts and relationships, and how much I relate to them.
like.... take the fun gang, for example. including lancer here. they all learn or gain something from each other in a sense, y'know? They're a nice group of friends. susie and lancer are just having fun being themselves, and lancer learns how to stand up for his friends. he wants to help them so he attacks his own dad, which he himself wanted to protect, and then gathers all citizens of the town so he can help them. susie decides not to fight because she doesnt want to hurt her friend because she cares. then she puts her full trust in kris to do the right thing. she does not fight until the king prompted them to.
susie and kris. they start off as cold as can be, but it seems like kris wanted to be friends with susie at some point before dr took place or at least just didn't think of her as a bad person. and then, at the king fight, where the king tricks them all and hurts them badly. the soul has no control in this cutscene. and yet, despite being hurt, they defend susie. They stood up and shielded her from the attack. when the king takes kris to finish them off, susie pays the favor in turn and calls them her friend. that cutscene was just fucking glorious man.
and then we have susie and ralsei. again, they start off on different ends but at the fight... susie remembers ralsei's pacify spell. and of course she did. in dr chapter 2, where their friendship really shines, susie thinks ralsei is really fucking cool. aka his healing spell. And she took the opportunity to hang out with ralsei on her own and asked about how healing spells worked and they ate cotton candy together!!! ... susie teaches ralsei how to banter. how sarcasm works and all that. ralsei's sarcasm isnt exactly very top tier or comedic, but it's genuine, and thats what ralsei is. ultimateheal isnt the most 'helpful' at this moment in time but as chapters keep going and their bond grows stronger, that spell probably grows stronger too, because that was how she learned that spell in the first place. And of course why the hell would susie pass on the opportunity to improve this spell. She's Susie, after all!
im mainly talking about susie's friendships here btw bcoz to me she's the very heart of the group. she's a very wonderful and multifaceted character with many traits and how she joshes with other characters it just.. meshes so well. she's very likeable and fun. she's the powerhouse, the comedic relief sometimes, and when needed, she can be very mature and caring. she's the core of all these friendships and its very sweet. I wish I could talk about other relationships here but like my brain juice is gone. also some friendships like kris n ralsei, ralsei n lancer, aren't particularly very fleshed out yet. noelle and kris, i think, deserve their own essay. noelle and ralsei haven't interacted much lol. i really do look forward to the upcoming chapters of this game bc i adore it with all my heart.
#deltarune#meta#analysis#?? lol#kris dreemurr#ralsei#susie#noelle holiday#lancer#carol holiday#rudy holiday#dess holiday#i wanna make a noelle-holiday centric meta one day because i think. her character is somewhat vague as of this moment#but also shes got a lot of shit going on too#ill probably do it when i replay dr and pay attention to her charas more and like. finally play snowgrave too lol#this essay was like. very kris-ralsei-susie centric#not gonna tag everyone i mentioned bcoz that would be mean lol#just ones i feel i mentioned enough#neways. hope you like this :) also#do not take this as canon or anything but u could if u want to. but my words are not canon#this is just... some lazy teen's very much personal feely rambling about cool video game#SO MANY ERRORS HELP ...

Nothing in the text explicitly says that. They could have been peers. In many ways I find that potentiality more interesting. More subversive. Secondly. It is irrelevant to what I am saying. xX_PrIsMaTiC_AnGlE_Xx: oh boy. here we go semiseraph: He was desperate to have someone else who could Get It. What it was like to be cursed that way. Two questions:
1: Thoughts on Deltarune Toriel and her relationship with Kris alongside what her ultimate in the story will be like? Personally, I think we may get a lot of development with her if she joins us in the chapter 3 Dark World, but that’s just me.
2: Thoughts on also what Asriel’ stole in DR will be like? Considering how much of a fan-favourite he is and how Toby’s definitely aware of that, it feels we might good some subversion thrown out with him, whatever that may be like. Love to hear your thoughts on this as well.
um..... honestly I don't have that many thoughts on either of them as characters in deltarune, haha. as I've said before, I'm not really into making theories for its own sake and most of what I do is just speculating on really vague stuff, based on dialogue and themes- okay so maybe I do make theories LOL I just like doing analysis better, but I really don't have anything new to say about toriel or asriel, that hasn't been said before......
..........except, I'm not totally convinced that asriel actually exists? in deltarune?? like he exists in the lives and memories of the characters obviously, but on a meta level I don't know if he has like. a character file, a sprite, etc, if that makes sense. I dunno, I sort of suspect that might be why kris can't reach him- nothing actually exists outside of hometown and the dark world, because that's all that needs to exist to make the setting of this video game. I kinda hope that's not true because it would make me pretty sad and I'd love to meet an adult asriel, but I can also totally see it happening! on the other hand, that idea has been done before in so many other settings that involve a metanarrative or "fake"/artificial location (I can think of at least three off the top of my head) and I'm sure toby also knows that so he might not go for that angle, or do a different kind of twist on it. after all dess also "doesnt exist" within the game proper outside of other characters referencing her, same as asriel, but she's clearly a physical entity in the code. it might be that rather than not existing at all, asriel just hasn't been "built" yet because it's not time for him to appear, if he's going to. so like- he exists within the story of deltarune and he's just off having fun at college, but outside in the next layer that sits in between the game world and our world, where gaster is doing whatever, he doesnt. gaster (if we're to assume it IS him behind everything) hasn't made him yet. yknow. or hasn't acquired him. toby still has custody. I hope that makes sense
#asks#so in short no i dont have anything to say about what asriel will be like#because im not even sure he'll Be at all#analysis

Super Mario 3D World (スーパーマリオ3Dワールド Sūpā Mario Surī Dī Wārudo?)
Ele então entra no cano de novo e some. Então, a jornada começa.
Eles então adentram no World Castle, aparentemente derrotam Bowser e resgatam a sétima princesa.

This was such cool foreshadowing on Toby's part, great catching of all these details here... and also, such an interesting pattern we've seen emerge:
All three main party characters in Deltarune have slightly different (yet similar) names to characters in Undertale. All three.
Suzy is similar to Susie. Ralsei is scrambled-up Asriel. And Kris is one letter off from an anagram of Frisk.
I know this was probably noticed ages ago, but I'm just dumping my realization here. I knew about EACH of them all this time, sure... but the significance of realizing it's ALL THREE main characters of Deltarune?
That's what just hit me now. Along with how that seems to go hand-in-hand with Undertale & Deltarune being anagrams of each other. 😶
(Just a bit more thinking-out-loud under the Read More.)
So far, most of the other characters we meet in Deltarune, if they have Undertale counterparts, still have the exact same names. But those three characters are unique in that regard.
(........Except for, ugh, Burgerpants/Pizzapants????? 😂)
...Well wait, two of the ghosts may end up having totally different names from before, in their own odd departure. Although ghosts are quite a special case in these universes... 🤔
I don't seem to be able to find how they may be referenced in the game's code (Happstablook/Nobody for Mettaton? Maddstablook or something else silly for Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew/Maddy?). Though of course, how they'll be introduced in the game narrative itself will probably be more important than the code, in this case.
Still, if anyone knows, I'm curious.
(Honorable mentions: Catti being the sister of the familiar Catty... SpamTON's connections to ghosts, dummies, & MettaTON... & December seeming to have a strange offset from her nickname Dess [in terms of the Spamton Sweepstakes' web pages].
The power of names is something I've talked about before in terms of Japanese traditional beliefs & superstitions, which Toby seems keen on building upon.
"What's in a name" indeed...)
Who The Heck Is “Suzy?”
This is an information post on the character of Suzy in Undertale. This post serves as a source for anything about the ‘Suzy’ character that we can gather at this time.
There are lots of theories, but that’s not what this is for. I’ll try to keep even my personal opinions and theories to myself, and try to boil it down to the hard facts and give my best answer to the question: ‘Who the heck is “Suzy?”
Tl;dr: Nobody is really sure, but we have a few specifics.
The long answer is under the readmore, if you want to check it out.
Where Can I Find Suzy?
You can’t.
Even using the cheat engine to skip through all the unfinished rooms, even tearing the game apart with hacking tools and decompilers to look for their monster information, their obj_ files, their sprites … You can’t meet Suzy right now.
You just can’t.
Fun And The Clamgirl
There is only one scenario where you can hear about Suzy. You hear about her secondhand from her ‘neighbor.’ We call this neighbor ‘clamgirl,’ because that’s the name of their sprite in the files. She never gives us her name and we have no better way to indicate her unless we say ‘that girl who talks about Suzy,’ and that’s a mouthful.
You meet clamgirl in the waterfall ‘safe’ area, in the section that leads to Gerson’s shop, Undyne’s house or the blook farms depending on what exit you take. There are a few conditions that need to be met before you can meet the clamgirl.
Your LOVE cannot be too high.
Your ‘fun’ value must be between 80 and 89.
When you start up a game of Undertale, or reset, your file is assigned a random ‘fun’ value. You can check this value in the .ini file, in the Undertale SAVE area.
When your fun value is between 80 and 89, either through luck or by manipulating the files (just changing the number in the .ini file is NOT enough) the clamgirl will appear, and you can talk to her.
Default Clamgirl Dialogue
When the game first came out, the clamgirl had a set of dialogue options, just like any other overworld NPC. Depending on circumstance, this dialogue changes. I have pictures of most of these, but some of them I do not, and I will have to resort to tearing the dialogue from the strings.
The first time you talk to the clamgirl, before you have finished the game, she says this:
If you talk to her again without leaving the room, she says this:
If you talk to her again after having killed Undyne, she says:
* I sense a disturbance in& the nearby aura…/
* I think you should leave& that girl alone./%%
If you talk to her after having completed the pacifist ending and having talked to her before:
If you go back and talk to her after beating the game on pacifist, without talking to her the first time, she says:
* I wanted to tell you about& my neighbor’s daughter./
* But you walked right by me& before I could tell you./
* Fate has decided that I& should not tell you./%%
Patch 1.01 Dialogue
When Toby updated to patch 1.01, some of the clamgirl’s dialogue changed.
When you talk to the clamgirl a second time, an extra piece of dialogue is added to the clamgirl’s regular speech.
The post-pacifist dialogue, where you spoke with her before and come back to speak again, changes slightly.
“Don’t Forget”
Starting with the 1.01 patch, there is a special picture in sans’ lab that you only see by fulfilling certain special conditions.
This condition for seeing this ‘don’t forget’ message is: having talked to the clamgirl.
What Do We Know About Suzy?
Suzy is a kid, about Frisks’ age.
They’re a girl.
They live in the capital, with at least one parent.
We never meet them over the course of our adventures. (aka, they are NOT monster kid, they are NOT a reincarnation of the yellow human SOUL in mettaton [if you’re one of the people who subscribe to that theory], or any other possible mistaken identity twist)
There is, if the clamgirl is to be trusted, some undefined ‘destiny’ that connects her to Frisk.
Somehow, speaking to the clamgirl who talks of nothing but Suzy, causes the ‘don’t forget’ event in sans’ lab.
Who The HECK Is Suzy?
Hell if I know. But whoever she is, she’s important.
SEPT 21st 2018 UPDATE:
In the Switch release of Undertale, the clamgirl’s post-pacifist scene changes drastically at ‘fun’ level 81.
youtube
In it, upon walking up to the clamgirl and talking to her, she turns gray and her sprite changes to something more sinister and strange-very similar to gaster followers or the goner kid-and the post-pacifist music cuts off. When the convo ends, she vanishes with the same sound effect that the ‘mysteryman,’ which you need fun value 66 to find in Waterfall does.
