I know so many ppl hated the Archer coma seasons but as a vintage nerd can i just say at least for dreamland and paradise they nailed it (i never was into star trek stuff so no idea accuracy of space).

In Dreamland they nailed screwball comedy and noir. Charlotte (Cheryl) nailed the Veronica Lake/Carole Lombard thing so well. Like srsly i was impressed how they nailed that patter (and then even more when i learned they dont group record).

Krieger’s story is awesome af esp given his alleged history awake. Im also quite fond of robo cat. While noir rarely went jewish during the war his reveal of what he did/does is very noir. Ive heard actual Germans say the German wasnt great, but i felt it was as good as we could expect. I fucking didnt catch til now my 90th rewatch how they van heflined krieger during Lana and Archer’s patter (srsly its just like Green Dolphin Street).

Lana’s story isnt much (did love her singing tho) but i loved the band and how they dunked on Ray and made Archer their bitch. I really wish we got more of that.

I think everything tied up nice. I wasnt wild about Poovey being non gender not cuz she couldnt be but cuz it felt like an anti fat choice. However it did speak to how much Archer thinks of Pam.

I do think Cecil and the hooker would be a good real life pairing.

The gore is pretty extreme esp for this show but not the majority of the season. The hot dog bit grossed me out the most.

Paradise really nailed the early 30s explorer movies vibe. Again Charlotte killed it. Archer was perfect and him and Pam were spectacular. Love Crackers.

Cyril became an overbearing villain even vs Dreamland. He really had to work thru that shit and by Space he mostly had. Same with mother.

And Lana again was barely existent. I think thats fascinating for what it means back in real life

💐 - what would the first date be

bowling. i don't feel like i need to justify or elaborate because you know i'm right, but i will. krieger is picking you up in his van, pulling up outside and screeching to a halt. pam is sliding open that door and calling you a loser (affectionate). they're wearing matching bowling shirts, and pam yells "tahdah" before throwing your one at your face. beers, nachos and greasy burgers are ordered the moment you get to your lane. if you're good at bowling, both of them remark on how absolutely rock solid hard they are for you. if you're bad at it, they already knew that was the case and they have another gift for you: your own bowling ball with small holes for your delicate fingers and the words "lil bitch" engraved on it. either way your ass is getting smacked by them both every time it's your turn to bowl

😍 - how would they flirt?

krieger's attempts at flirting take a lot of getting used to. they often sound more like...threats than actual romantic/sexual insinuations. but once you get used to them it's easy to follow the darker puns to their true, carnal meanings pam doesn't flirt. pam tells you she wants to bang you when she feels the notion, is constantly grabbing and pawing at you, and makes disgusting and lewd gestures frequently from across the room in public. which is part of her charm and who the hell would want her any other way?

if either of these lusty idiots sees you looking at them and you maintain eye contact for more than two seconds, you're being ferally ravaged by one or both of them, depends if they answer the text to meet them in whatever bathroom or dirty carpeted office space you stumble on first
