I don't hate the idea of Garble being reformed, I just hate the execution. It was weird… I actually really like the idea of Garble and Spike being friends again :)

They said that he acted like a delinquent so he wouldn't get bullied by his friends, and he was peer pressured into it. You can say that about teenagers in real life.

I think it was supposed to be a contrast to Spike's character, because in Dragon Quest Spike almost succumbed to the same peer pressure but decided to be better, because of the positive influence his pony friends had on him.

The implication being that Garble succumbed to peer pressure because unlike Spike, he didn't have any positive influences at all, whether it be family, friends, etc.

But he has a really good relationship with Smolder, who never judged him or treated him harshly for being soft. So Smolder's existence as his supportive sibling doesn't make any sense when you think of the way he's acted the entire show.

I think a better idea for Garble's redemption is that it could've been a Cutie Map mission. Fluttershy and Spike could've been called to the Dragon Lands to solve a friendship problem that involved Garble. Not only because Spike and Fluttershy were the two main characters involved in that episode, but because it makes sense for it to be them.

Spike because he has more of a personal relationship with Garble than any of the others. Also Garble is technically the first dragon friend Spike ever made (until they fought), so wouldn't it be a fitting bookend for Spike to help turn Garble around and the two can be proper friends again?

Fluttershy because before she hated dragons (specifically older ones), but she learned to not be afraid of them. Garble hated ponies, so Fluttershy would've been a perfect 2nd choice to help redeem him.

I'm just throwing out ideas lol

The Ahuizotl one made less sense to me, because again they retconned what we've seen of the character in order to make him a misunderstood character. They said that Ahuizotl was protecting the artifacts of his forest from being stolen from Daring Do and Dr. Caballeron.

I actually like the idea of Daring Do taking the artifacts to be put in a museum being seen as bad by the jungle inhabitants, and I like the idea of Ahuizotl having more to him. But retconning Ahuizotl's character doesn't make much sense. 

In one episode, Ahuizotl tried to use the artifacts to cause a heatwave in the jungle for eight hundred years. Seems pretty evil. Maybe because he was created to make sure the artifacts stay in their place and do their intended job, he didn't see a problem with it? Idk.

Maybe they could've said that Ahuizotl was preprogrammed to act in this way? Idk

These three pookies are the characters from Russian film «Сто лет тому вперед» and I've just made some ponies out of them 🦄💘

The first one named Veselchak U is kinda hot (he gives some Dr. Caballeron vibes 😳🎠)

originally i was gonna do all of the campaigns but this already took me longer than i expected (as always), and also my roommate's boyfriend decided to commission me to draw him a pony XD so i will have to return to the other parties another time

corazón! he's the only standard pony because. well. token human XD originally i had him as a unicorn, but i thought pegasus would be much more accurate for him. and i gave him a full beard rather than the usual thick stubble i give him, because ponies look awful with stubble lol. sorry dr caballeron

dob! he's a griffon because um. i felt like it <3 i just thought it would be cute. griffons have the half-and-half thing going for them, as well, though that didn't occur to me until after i was sketching him. stole his lil ponytail from gabby's design. i miss when the mlp griffons were like... not techicolor and just sort of parrots with lion paws. they look much better this way, in my opinion

egbert! a dragon, naturally. i was able to stick fairly closely to how i usually draw him, just with wings and more mlp style. and his eyes are big enough to be brown instead of the tiny pupils i usually give him! big wins! dragons in mlp vary a lot in design, so i just kind of winged it with him, lol. he's a huge hefty guy, but he's a sweetheart :]

merilwen! she's a deer of course, since they are essentially the elves of the mlp universe. like dragons, deer have had a looot of different designs, including being just standard non-sentient animals lol, so i took all of the features i liked of each design and mashed them together for her. mostly, i referenced their comic designs, because those are definitely the coolest ones

prudence! prudence. prudence <3 the easiest design, since i just drew the standard hivemind changeling. i knew she had to be a changeling, they fit her vibes so well. and their original designs are cooler than the metamorphosed ones, sorry mlp animators :/ (though, if/when i do the other campaigns, lilith will be a metamorph changeling) i made her horn longer and changed her eye color out for gold, just to be a little bit more unique, but otherwise she is... just a changeling LOL

Random thoughts:

You can take that metalworking talent out of my cold dead hands I know they said 'oh her talent is to be a leader so a crown' no! My girl is working making jewelry and swords!!!

Speaking of jewelry: Diamond is part Crystal Pony! Which lets her craft enchanted jewelry too.

Diamond's parents are OH BOY. Rich is very blind to Spoiled's actions, but he's actually being a very good parent to Diamond and is involved in her life and trying to make her a good person he just. Doesn't really realize that Spoiled is Like That™ for a long time. High maintenance and demanding? A bit aloof? Yeah he knows. But the stuff she says to Diamond or to other people? Spoiled is careful to never let him see that side of her or else she'd be kicked. And when he does finally realize he gets a divorce and fights like hell to keep custody of Diamond.

But also Spoiled is Very Much Not Good.

Other family members include Dr. Caballeron! He's Rich's cousin but they're close like brothers even if they don't talk as much as they did in their youth(work keeps them busy). Still he's a cool uncle to Diamond!

Diamond has Elemental Potential and could be the Element of Laughter!

History is written by the winners.

The episode that changes everything and our final Daring Do Episode of the series. It begins with Fluttershy getting into the Daring Do series now. She’s even a fan of this new book that Rainbow Dash didn’t know about. That’s because it's a completely different author. And the Author is trashing Daring Do by making big lies surrounded by smaller truths to make Dr. Caballeron look better. And it’s working.

At the A.K. Yearling signings, these fans are basically attacking her. Sadly similar to how some pony fans attack G5 fans and actors. It's really sad when fiction is reality. And continuing that train of thought, the Author of the Pro-Caballeron books is Dr. Caballeron himself under a disguise. After confronting him, Caballeron tries to tell his side of the story but Dash refuses to listen. Fluttershy on the other hand does.

Now to be fair, Fluttershy never actually interacted with Caballeron on the show like Dash has. The closest she has to actually meeting the guy was in Daring Don’t. And all she did was watch the action like it was a stage play. It was only her that snapped everyone out of it to actually have the story continue. The only other Main Pony who actually interacted with Caballeron was Pinkie Pie. So Fluttershy taking the time to listen and hear his side of the story is believable. Though we all know he’s tricking her to join his expedition.

Dash decides to go to Daring Do to inform her about this and Daring Do knows his plan: he’s after the Truth Talisman of Tonatiuh since it's made of Pure Gold and only the Wings of a Pegasus can get it. So he plans on using Fluttershy to get the Talisman and take whatever trap associated with it. And it is a very dangerous trek even with a map, which is why Daring Do never went to get it herself.

Thing is, this isn’t Flutttershy’s first rodeo. So while they were thinking of just manipulating her and ditching her when things go South, Fluttershy’s nature wins them over to the point that they’re willing to risk their own lives to save her. Give her Tirek or Cozy Glow, they would have fallen under her spell of kindness. Chrysalis is a lost cause. So when the two sides got together, thanks to the Truth Talisman, Caballeron admitted he only wanted to get it for the money but valued Fluttershy’s friendship.

Then Ahuizotl makes his second actual appearance in the series. Yeah, besides fantasies and Daring Do’s book, Ahuizotl only made a real appearance twice in the show proper. He once again wants them to stop taking his artifacts. After a chase, Fluttershy decided “you know, why don’t we listen to him and find out why he’s doing all this.” And using the Truth Talisman, Ahuizotl reveals he is the guardian of these lands and he’s been trying and failing to stop these guys from taking the artifacts.

Now I know a lot of people don’t like this twist. Thing is, we really only had one account of Ahuizotl prior to this episode. Every other instance was from Daring Do’s point of view. Now something I haven’t done was look at the actual mythology of the Ahuizotl to see if that was a hint of this twist. Apparently it is an aquatic creature who lure victims near water to drown them. But here is an excerpt that I found that may have shown this twist was possible.

According to Aztec religious belief, those who met their death by drowning travelled to the beautiful earthly paradise of Tlalocan, home to the water god Tlaloc, his wife, Chalchiuhtlicue, and their helpers, the Tlaloque. It was thought that they were chosen for this fate by these deities either because of their goodness in life should be rewarded by an eternity in Tlalocan, or because they had dared to hoard precious stones, symbols of water, instead of offering them to the gods

And what does Ahuizotl say?

If another artifact goes missing on my watch, I'm going to be in so much trouble with the other guardian creatures.

Could the other guardian creatures be the Tlaloque? Either way, mythology suggests he does have bosses and one of his reasons for killing is because people are hoarding precious stones. And some stones could be considered relics. So it is entirely possible that this was always the plan. But I digress. After hearing this, using the Truth Talisman to ensure they are telling the truth, both Daring Do and Caballeron promise to stop stealing artifacts from him.

The episode ends with the Authors teaming up but they get overshadowed by Ahuizotl who released his own book. I honestly like him with glasses. Overall, I enjoyed this episode. Fluttershy showing off she could probably with 90% of villains over and giving a nice conclusion to the Daring Do storyline. And I don’t mind the twist of Ahuizotl being a guardian.
