Missing Kits, Part 2/?
Part 1
Dragonflykit - Greenflower's son, now surviving greencough. Dragonflypaw is mentored by Grasswhisker, and becomes Dragonflynose. However, between Firestar's Quest and Midnight, before the Forest starts getting ripped up, Dragonflynose slips off to the Moonstone and transitions, becoming Dragonflywing! She looks a lot like her mom.
Duckkit - Now a dark tortoiseshell molly with a small tail, Duckkit does still pass, but Greenflower is seen getting reassurance from Mudfur that he saw her in Starclan, running around with a moss ball.
Featherkit - Now Dappletail and Stormpelt's son. His death is now retconned. He was deaf, yes, but he wasn't a strong kit to begin with. He passed from fading kitten syndrome, but had a nice life before that, and was starting to get interested in herbs.
Cricketkit - A blue-gray tom like Bluestar, but with yellow eyes. He was apprenticed to Russetmoth, Willowpelt's father, and named Cricketfang. He is mates with Longtail's sister, Heatherwish, and now the father of Cinderpelt and Brackenfur.
Sol's siblings are brought up but they're for another post, as are Cloudtail's and Firestar's.
Quietkit - Now a dark brown tabby molly with brilliant blue eyes. She has made it through her sickness! Her mother has been renamed from Ashheart to Gravelheart. She is currently apprenticed to Russetfur. I have bumped her up to have been born a few moons before ITW, but she should NOT be an apprentice right now, this is much too early. Thankfully, Russetfur is good to her. Her warrior name will be Quietfeather.
Her siblings are under the cut!
Turtlekit - Now a dilute tortoiseshell molly with one green eye and one yellow eye, Turtlekit is Gravelheart's second born child, and is currently apprenticed to Blackfoot. She is also too young for this. Her warrior name will be Turtlesong.
Rubblekit - Another rare prefix, a lot of these kits gave prefixes never seen before. Now he is a small gray tabby tom with (as a reference to his wiki sprite) bright green eyes! He is illegally apprenticed to Nettlespot, who thankfully acts tough but is very gentle with him. His warrior name will be Rubblefang.
Cherrypaw - Originally Robinwing and Fuzzypelt from long ago, appearing in Spottedleaf's Honest Answer. Well Robinfuzzy is getting destroyed and SHA no longer exists, so Cherrypaw is getting moved away from that and is now bulky ginger and white molly with amber eyes, and a child of Grayflower (OC) with her littermates Dustpelt and Ravenpaw. She was made a warrior early due to fighting off a boar! Her mentor was Frostfur and her name is Cherryshine.
Chestnutkit - He was bumped down to be Frostfur's littermate as Brindleface is no longer her sister, he was mentored by Snowfur, and he is also now a skinny pale brown tabby tom with a white chest and blue eyes named Chestnutwing. He will mentor Elderpaw after Russetmoth dies.
Lavenderkit - Now a rose-cream mollynwith deep blue eyes, Lavenderkit survives her illness and is apprenticed to Volewhisper. She becomes Lavenderpool, and is mates with Blossomclaw.
Smokepaw - Nightwing's boy, the apprentice that falls. He is a HUGE part of The New Prophecy! A main character now! He will still fall, but find his way home, and he is featured in WCR!Graystripe's Adventure, found by Graystripe and Cody. His name will be Smokeheart.
Talonpaw - Now pale gray with large white feet, the attack from the kittypets nearly killed him, and he collapsed unconscious when he dragged himself back to camp. He would lay in effectively a comatose state, being given a Dying Warrior Ceremony from Blackstar. He woke up during the end of Sunset, and was shocked to hear cheers of his new name: Talonshine.
Nightwhisper - Nightwhisper would not become Darkflower's mate, but instead brought his young daughter to be nursed by Queens who could help. Kinkfur was that kit. She is, for all intents and purposes, half Bloodclan.
Pouncetail - To avoid same names, this man had been not only hit with the Gender Beam, but also a cool new name. Meet Muntjactail! Now has an itty-bitty tail, a lighter chest and belly. She is mates with Stoatrunner (1 half of Stoatfur, who is now split into 2 cats) and is the mother of Beenose!
Since Wolfstep is dead, the lean tabby tom and tortoiseshell queen with 2 kits are now Rubblefang, and his sister Turtlesong. He is giving her loving support. Wetfoot has just died, he was the father of her kits. Ivykit (Ivytail) and Whitekit (Whitewater).
Crowfrost - Dawncloud now gets together with Picklewish (OC, kinda. One of the names from the Fan Vote that Wafflepaw won. He joins Shadowclan during the Journey) and has Crowfrost. He will also be surviving AVOS! She also has them a little bit later than canon.
Spiderfoot - Crowfrost's brother, a cowardly little guy who leaves to become a kittypet. His kittypet name is Socko, and he is loved.
Swallowtail - Now a skinny gray-cream molly with darker legs and amber eyes. Born to Vixenleap and a posthumous Swancall a few weeks after the Battle for Bloodclan, Swallowtail may look like a Windclan cat, but she is a shining star in Riverclan. She even earned her name early and was trusted with an apprentice before anyone else! She has secret kits with Rainwhisker!
Wait, what?
Pebblefoot - Now a mottled pale brown tom with bright green eyes and small paws, Pebblefoot is an alright enough guy. He had a bit of a celebrity crush on Ashfoot when he was young. His mentor is no longer Mosspelt, but now Heavystep, who is no longer an early elder. He gives the next Riverclan Leader a life after his death during The Hopeless Storm.
Minnowtail - Oh, I have BIG plans for this girl, should all go well with ASC. That's far away for now, but just know that us Mouse x Minnow fans are EATING.
Tumblekit - Now a chubby little boy. I am deeply sorry for anyone who likes this little guy and wanted him to live. He was never meant to survive. I tried to think of how I could spin him, but his death is a Canon Event for Minnowtail.
Mallowtail and Grasswhisker - Grasswhisker is now a trans tom who might later realize they're actually a tolly! That isn't set in stone, but what is is this relationship! But, since he and Mallowtail cannot have kits of biologically, they get help from a sire. Who, you ask? Well that's private! (a loner) after Mallowtail gives birth, they are shocked to see that one of their kits, Beechkit, looks VERY much like Grasswhisker! The other is Rippletail. Mates of Gorsetail and Petalfur.

Bonefall's Forgotten Warriors
If you've ever set out to make a WC fan project, you've surely heard of Su Susann's Missing Kits. It was a series of authorial statements giving names to previously unnamed cats, and adding interesting little stories to many of them.
But there's also a TON of "Forgotten Warriors" that were created through timeline inconsistencies, offhanded authorial statements, or single throwaway lines in super editions. By their nature, finding these cats on the wiki is a pain in the butt. In this post I hope to compile these cats as a resource for the fandom.
So first, let's define a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior does not have a big presence. Primrosepaw was first named as a Missing Kit with no mention of her name on the page or in the allegiances. Over time, she has appeared in several books and is now a widely known name in the fandom. But Blossomkit, whose only appearance is in Su Susann's Missing Kits and the worst field guide, will count as a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior is not just a nondescript Clan cat. For example, if a "ThunderClan warrior" speaks up at a gathering and their name and description is not mentioned, that could be anyone. Same applies to a description that could easily describe an existing character in a Clan-- if a "White ShadowClan Warrior" appears in a modern arc, that may just be Stonewing, BUT, the "Tabby Queen with Distinct Black Markings" of TPB doesn't match any other, so she is a Forgotten Warrior.
A minor appearance inconsistency is not a Forgotten Warrior. Just to pre-empt wiseassery. Blue-eyed Dovewing and Green-eyed Dovewing are not two separate cats-- but I will note down MASSIVE appearance changes in background characters, like the magic color AND gender-changing Stoatfur (just add water!)
(also, I will not be compiling all of the random kittypets, rogues, and loners because there is too many of them. I could, however, be persuaded to compile all cats of a specific group, like The Kin, Sisters, BloodClan, etc.)
This post is an updating list as I find and catalogue more cats. Last update: 8/21/23, version 1.1 Added new category: Sudden Elders

Spirit Cats
Skunkpaw M From Goosefeather's Curse, an ancient ThunderClan apprentice who helps him cheat at Hide and Seek. Has a white stripe that parts his face and heterochromia (right blue eye and left green eye)
Fenneldust F A Dark Forest cat killed by Thistleclaw in Spottedleaf's Heart. Light brown tabby from ThunderClan
Batear M Spottedleaf's Heart. Black and white with a disfigured half-face. From ShadowClan
Palefoot M Gray tabby in Night Whispers who speaks to Flametail.
Lightningpaw M Gives Crookedstar a life, from RiverClan
Lilyflower F Gives Crookedstar a life, from RiverClan
Shiningheart, Brightspirit, Braveheart FFM Cats modeled after a real family of WC fans who died in a natural disaster, appearing in Long Shadows
Mallowfur F Spirit who greets Featherwhisker on his first trip to the moonstone.
Major Inconsistencies and Replacements
Cypresspaw F Brown and white; appears in Thunder and Shadow and is replaced by four Lakeheart kits.
Wavepaw F Silver and white; appears in Thunder and Shadow and is replaced by four Lakeheart kits.
Stoatfur X First appearing as a ginger tom, they become a tortie-and-white molly between books.
Ivytail F Originally solid brown in The Sight, suddenly becomes a black, white, and tortie queen in Night Whispers. Is in the nursery for a while, but the kittens are never born and she retires after the Great Battle.
Happykit M A fan name for a kitten killed in the Great Battle which the author approved of. Changed to "Weaselkit" by the family tree.
Silverpaw X Appears in the allegiances of Fire and Ice and Forest of Secrets and then vanishes.
Greenflower F Supposed to be the foster mother for Feathertail and Stormfur, forgotten between books and replaced by Mosspelt.
Gorsetail M A pale tom warrior who is trapped by humans during the destruction of the Forest, suddenly replaced by ANOTHER Gorsetail who is a silver-and-white molly in the Po3 arc
Unnamed Background Cats
Distinct Tabby Queen From Into the Wild, greets Goldenflower as she leaves the nursery. ThunderClan.
Tortie Molly From Fire and Ice, seems to be a friend of Morningflower. From WindClan.
Gray Tom From Fire and Ice, another exiled warrior of WindClan who alerts the Clan to Fireheart's presence.
Tabby Tom From Fire and Ice, another exiled warrior of WindClan. Carries Morningflower's kitten; May be Onewhisker.
Silver Tabby with Black Thorn Claws M ShadowClan warrior fighting against ThunderClan and the Rebels. Could be a mistaken description of Boulder, who is solid silver, or Wolfstep, who is solid gray.
Field Guide Exclusives
Smokepaw X From Secrets of the Clans. May be a consistency error, given that the authors forgot that Smokepaw TNP fell off a cliff and they could be Smokefoot. Close with Tawnypelt, likes to climb trees and watch boats.
Pikepaw M Large, dark gray. The only serious apprentice in his training session of BOTC while the siblings squabble. RiverClan.
Duckpaw F Mean to Rushpaw while training. Sister of Tangle and Rush. RiverClan.
Tanglepaw M Large, big-pawed, long-furred. Mean to Rushpaw. Brother of Rush and Duck. RiverClan.
Rushpaw F Short legged, tiny, and pathetic. Awful at swimming. Girlfail. Sister of Duck and Tangle. RiverClan.
Silverpaw X Sees Onestar and the POV kittypets on RiverClan territory, and brings them to Reedwhisker.
Adderkit M Lost spirit baby in Cats of the Clans from WindClan. Killed by an adder and named after it. Forced to listen to Rock say dumb shit about Nightcloud at the world's most uncomfortable sleepover.
Spiderfoot M Anxious, battle-averse ShadowClan warrior fresh out of Apprenticeship at the Eclipse Battle, tormented by RiverClan warriors while hiding in an abandoned building. Said to have left to become a kittypet
Rabbittail M WindClan ancestor of Webfoot who was caught in a human trap for REAL rabbits, but chewed his way out.
ShadowClan Antpelt M From Battles of the Clans; probably an error. Threatens Pouncetail of RiverClan for scolding his apprentice.
ShadowClan Antpelt's Apprentice X Is rude to an elder. Particularly odd because the real Antpelt never gets an apprentice.
Pale, Silvery-Furred Tabby Warrior M ShadowClan warrior on a sudden invasion on ThunderClan, fought off by Darkstripe and Dustpaw. "Rescued" by Russetfur, but then sand is kicked in their eyes. Could be an error of Boulder, who is a solid silver tom, or Archeye just before retirement.
Sudden Elders
These cats suddenly appear as elders despite never having been seen before.
Darkfoot M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Oatwhisker M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Snaketail M Brown ShadowClan elder with a striped tail
Ivytail F A brown tabby in RiverClan who dies of oil poisoning

Note
ik you said you've been too tired to do bios but i am so so so curious about dragonflystar :eyes:
HELLO anon of course I will tell you all about Dragonflystar! verrry long post under the cut, but let's start with her picture!
Tumblr media
Adderstar of RiverClan (who I may occasionally call "Venomstar" by accident, she is a very very old OC and one who used to have a different name lol) abandoned her Clan. She was lonely and made bad choices and then abandoned her Clan. her deputy Reednose stepped up and promoted a deputy of his own, Flameblossom (orange). When a tiny kitten is found in the reeds so near to RiverClan's camp, so freshly placed there that someone would've HAD to have known the exact patrol schedules in order to put her there and get out without being noticed (that cat was Arbor, her biological father and a loner who had been with the clan for a few moons).
Tradition states that the cat who finds a lost kit names them, and she was named Dragonflykit. Grassheart (silver tabby), Flameblossom's mate, had very recently had two kits of her own, called Mudkit (brown tabby tom) and Mistkit (silver tabby she-cat). It was only natural that the tiny kitten would be given to a queen so she could be fed, but rather than simply fostering her, Grassheart and Flameblossom entirely adopted her. (Grassheart would've called her Rainkit-- "Dragonflykit" was a bit much for a tiny baby to pronounce, but alas, the name had been chosen and would stand.)
Dragonflykit was always concerned with manners and cleanliness, even from a young age. She was incredibly confident and certain that she'd be leader one day, although her and Mudkit often fought about it! Mistkit didn't have her ambitions set quite so high, and often ended up being medicine cat when they played clan by process of elimination, but she wasn't exactly begging Spidersight to be his apprentice.
When they hit six moons, the three were apprenticed off to various warriors, with Dragonflypaw being assigned to Beetleclaw. Beetleclaw was a reasonably well-respected older warrior who excelled remarkably at fighting, but under Adderstar, he'd never had an apprentice. He was a big proponent of Thistle Law and had ambitions of becoming the tyrant leader of RiverClan. As he saw it, the Clan had lost something due to Adderstar's acceptance of outsiders and subsequent abandonment of the Clan. They'd been marred by it, and he was going to be the one to fix it. Dragonflypaw was young, proud, and easily manipulated. She didn't seem to quite understand that under Beetleclaw's RiverClan, loner kits like herself would've been abandoned-- in fact, she didn't think about the fact that she was technically an outsider at all. He didn't treat her like one, at least-- he knew that she had potential and he knew that it would be easy to groom her into a successor. like Palpatine unto Anakin Skywalker, he led her towards the inevitable conclusion that he was destined to be leader, she was destined to be his deputy, and they would take it by force if they had to.
When she was eleven moons old, she helped Beetleclaw with a plot that she didn't realize would lead to Flameblossom's death. realizing that she'd caused his death, her father's last words to her were ones of forgiveness, Dragonflypaw was deeply shaken. She began to consider that maybe Beetleclaw was wrong, but he had quite a lot of power over her, and nobody would believe her word over his.
So she stayed by his side, but she began to wonder how she'd escape him.
The incident with the bobcat that led to Flameblossom's death also painted Dragonflypaw as some kind of hero, and she earned her Warrior name early. She was called Dragonflypelt-- a plain name in any other clan, but in RiverClan, it praised her for her beauty, which was quite out of the ordinary! She didn't really fit the beauty standards, but her sheer confidence put her over that line! Beauty is RiverClan's highest virtue, so it was a name she was proud of, but she wasn't proud of how she earned it.
A moon later, her siblings were named Mistberry and Mudcall.
Time passes and eventually Beetleclaw is preparing his elaborate evil scheme takeover event to kill the leader-- he's planning to trap Reedstar in his den and intentionally flood the camp, hopefully murdering him. Dragonflypelt exposes this scheme in front of the whole camp (for safety) and then exposes a bunch of other things that Beetleclaw did-- and that she did. She can't take him down without exposing herself, too-- particularly for her role in Flameblossom's death.
Before anyone can do anything about this, Beetleclaw attacks Dragonflypelt. He claws at her face to steal away her beauty from her and she tears him open like he taught her to do. He's dogpiled by his other clanmates as well but when the dust settles, Dragonflypelt is bleeding (but generally alright) and Beetleclaw is dead, having escaped justice. Reedstar strips him of his name on the spot so that he can't join StarClan and he's buried immediately, without a vigil, so that his soul remains trapped in the dirt.
And then comes the question of what to do about Dragonflypelt.
Mudcall, her beloved brother, declares that she's a traitor. Some of her clanmates agree. Mistberry refuses to take a side and Mudcall rejects her, too, saying that refusing to take a side is essentially taking hers. Grassheart is too broken up over the betrayal of her daughter having basically killed her mate to have any opinion at all.
From the crowd, Spidersight emerges as a voice of reason. The wise old medicine cat boldly declares that Dragonflypelt was merely an apprentice at the time, manipulated by her mentor-- she didn't fully realize what she was doing, for one thing, and furthermore, they shouldn't blame a victim for being victimized. It was the fault of the Clan's leadership that she was put in this situation to begin with: she never should've been placed in Beetleclaw's care, and it is a failing of the Clan that they didn't notice his abuse. Spidersight says that the fact that she was willing to risk exile in order to expose him before he hurt anyone else should show that she's not truly bad and that she's willing and ready to be different. He announces that he will personally put his reputation on her rehabilitation and, reluctantly, the Clan decides to give her another chance.
Her relationship with Mudcall, Mistberry, and Grassheart is never the same. Mistberry and Grassheart eventually reconcile with her, but remain distant; they can never really truly forgive her. Mudcall never even gets that close. He's polite at best and otherwise won't even look at her.
Moons later, after she has proven herself to her Clan time and time again, Reedstar's deputy dies. He selects Dragonflypelt to be his deputy, to the shock of many cats-- including her! After the meeting she tries to reject it, saying that she doesn't want to be deputy or leader, and that she certainly doesn't think that the Clan wants her to be. Reedstar says that he has complete faith in her even though he didn't back then, and her reluctance to become leader is evidence that she deserves to.
Less than a year later, Reedstar loses his final life and Dragonflypelt becomes Dragonflystar. Mudcall is not named her deputy, instead that honor goes to Sharktail, and the rift between them yawns ever further.
Dragonflystar is a cat of contradictions. She is scarred, solid-colored, skinny, and short-furred-- she should be the ugliest cat in RiverClan, but her unshakeable confidence and incredible skill with fighting makes her quite beautiful indeed. Still, RiverClan cats are sometimes heard lamenting that she'd be so much prettier if Beetleclaw hadn't scarred her, and isn't it such a shame?
Whenever Dragonflystar hears them, she's always quick to tell them otherwise. Her scars only enhance her beauty. She has them because she survived. She has them because she is a fighter. That's worth more to her than any silly beauty standard.
Dragonflystar has kept her attention to manners and politeness her entire life. She is prim, proper, and cleanly-- and if you cross the line, she will butcher you into mincemeat. For her beauty, grace, and sheer capacity for violence, she is often called the Leopard of RiverClan, a title of immense honor. Kits in other clans speak of her in hushed whispers and ShadowClan in particular sometimes uses her as a Boogeyman story to keep their kits in line. Dragonflystar is proud, larger-than-life, and menacing beyond measure-- a true living legend, despite her humble origins, and RiverClan couldn't possibly be more proud of her.

Su Susann Riverclan kits; Morningkit, Swankit, and Splashkit are Graypool's, while Oatkit, Carpkit, and Waterkit are Leopardstar's siblings. Morningkit has some sectoral heterochromia going on. And Dragonflykit and Duckkit are Greenflower's kits.
Supposed to be in the other post but I ran out of tags

any plans for Fernsong?
I do have some plans for Fernsong, seeing as he will not be Ivypool's mate anymore!
He is a big player in The Thunder Rebellion, and gets quite the scar from the ensuing battle on his left shoulder. He got that from Finleap! His ears also get shredded by one of Splashstar's enforcers during Dark Times, and is in the group that Frostpaw builds to try and bring Splashstar down.
He gets his own short story book with his sisters, Sorrelstripe and Strawberrytuft as part of the Missing Moons collection, a "What happened in between The Last Hope/The Hopeless Storm and A Vision Of Shadows?" He is close with his mentor Rosepetal, and learns to be gentle but firm from her.
He has a mate, Volefern, a reddish brown spotted tabby trans tom with short, sleek fur, amber eyes, a long tail, and long whiskers. Mistleberry (Speckletail's daughter) and Stempelt's (Runningwind and Redtail's son) had him, and his brother Frogsong.
Though Volefern gets pregnant, the ferocious cat is still determined to be a warrior. When Volefern gives birth, Fernsong steps in and is the queen of the litter, seen comforting their two lovely children, Eaglekit and Meltkit.
Meltkit transitions during his Apprenticeship to become Shellpaw!
He is incredibly close with his kids, and regularly protects them. During Lost Stars, he is seen doting on Eaglewing, who caught a cold. He and Shellfur have a MASSIVE falling out during TBC when Shellfur supports Bramblefake. Shellfur is insecure about himself, as he has a friend in Riverclan (Cypresswind, the saved Cypresspaw) and he doesn't want to get in trouble for being friends with her. He shoots down their friendship and gets into a huge public fight with his dad about the codebreakers.
Fernsong fights for the rebels, getting a huge scar on his shoulder from Finleap, one of Bramblefake's biggest supporters. He recovers well though!
But... I can't say he'll be having a good time during A Starless Clan, or Dark Times.
The end of A Starless Clan has a patrol of cats, lead by his daughter Eaglewing, against this fake "Splashstar". He is a threat to other cats who do not meet his standards, and will kill any cat who displeases him, showing his loyal followers with glory and power... He needs to go.
Eaglewing manages to grapple him, holding on tight as Splashstar thrashes around, rolling to try and get her off, but Eaglewing does not yield. She reaches around and sinks her teeth into the side of his neck. A messy kill, but at least it's over.
Eaglewing stands over him for a moment before she declares his death. At last, this faker is gone, and Riverclan can have a proper leader that actually has the blessing of 9-
Splashstar moves as quick as lightning and slits Eaglewing's throat.
Guess he wasn't lying.
The war begins with Splashstar and Berrystar as its main opponents versus Skyclan, Windclan and Thunderclan. Sure, it's 2 v 3, but the others don't have leaders themselves, and Skyclan is on the verge of civil war due to now having 2 deputies.
Things get even worse for poor Fernsong when he and his husband fight during the war against Riverclan and Shadowclan.
His ears are shredded by Duskfur, though he does give her quite the scar on her left cheek!
When their beloved daughter-in-law Fernstripe is targeted by Berrystar personally, Volefern dives in and attacks her, ripping her ear terribly before Berrystar slashes his belly and chest. Volefern bleeds out, and Fernsong takes one of Berrystar's lives.
He is deeply saddened by the loss of his mate and husband, but he feels a tad better when Fernstripe gives birth to her and Shellfur's kits. 3 daughters and a son.
Fernsong feels like his family is going to be okay, like even with all the tragedy, there can still be hope, and for him, that hope lives in his grandchildren.
Runningkit, Dragonflykit, Lavenderkit, and Volekit.

“I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure”
Some Dragonflyshine/Leafheart cuteness because I need it and also I love them!
