+ everyone's handle, I hope everyone can read my writing 😭😭 it took me like... 10 hours? to finish this 🥹🥹 it was fun and challenging for me I hope I can do something like this again!!

(Disclaimer, all critiques thrown at Tumblr user alteredsilicone, otherwise known as Artie, are made with comedic intent and are exaggerated for the sake of comedy. Me and her are, at least from my POV, great friends and I only intend to entertain with my sarcastic quips aimed at her)

Welcome once again, fellow Tenno, to an oc showcase!

This time we have a perfect example of @alteredsilicone 's "parenting skills" (aka Child Neglect), Camelia Meister (as pictured above by her mother back when she gave a damn about Camelia)

In case it wasn't obvious, this oc is hers, but given that Artie so callously abbandoned Camelia, I'll be the father that stepped up and take her in as my very own void kid.

So some information (will change eventually, this is just the current vibe) :

Camelia is a bubbly, electric-themed Main Character Tenno (in other words she's currently the protagonist Tenno, the one who tames Umbra, completes all of the quests, etc. Combining that with her allgnment being eclipse, we can see that currently, shes a bit of a (excuse my French) 'slice of white bread'.

Her current (pun not intended) Warframes are Volt Prime (from before the Awakening), Nova Prime (After Awakening) and Gyre (post AOTZ), with her drifter also having a few favorites who for the sake of being concise, shall be ommitted. I plan to keep this entarauge going forward, however I will give Gyre to Drifter Camelia, as not only does it set up a good Drifter Operator contrast, but it also makes sense considering drifter's ties the Zariman.

Speaking of her drifter, I am dissappoined to say that, as of right now, her very vigilant mother (obvious sarcasm is obvious) decided not to give drifter Camelia any backstory to speak of, thus it shall fall to me to give her one once the time is right. Also worth noting is how operator Camelia is not alligned with any of the 6 syndicates, instead focusing her goodie-two-shoes nature on helping the Ostron and Solaris people (btw, did anyone else hear a ragged whisper calling Artie a "coward who couldn't commit her darling daughter to a single interesting idea due to her being the mc"? No, just me?)

Some early explorations on how I intend to season her character (aka make her into anything other than a cardboard cutout with pink electricity symbols scribbled on it with crayons) include:

-Making her follow New Loka and Perrin (the former because feel like shed be genuinely that kindhearted not to realize theyre luteral eco-fascists, and the latter definitely not because I want to terrorize Artie's new golden child, Viri, with the sins of her maker's past)

- New War induced Trauma

- Making her drifter a nuisance (as I often do) , and potentially give her some ties to Sythel and Mathila (cause peppy and electricity, plus theres some cool themeing you could draw from those two emotions)

- Maker her an exciteable little rapscallion who ends up electrifying hordes due to the sheer power of enjoying life

-Have her interact with The Chronicler (cool parallel, and nice dynamic given their contrasting traits

The Contestants Are Here!

Thank you for your patience, I'm now ready to announce our contestants for the Obscure Character Showdown! There are 300 characters, split up into 6 groups of 50.

Here's how the schedule will work: Day 1 is Group A Round 1 Part 1, Day 2 is Group A Round 1 Part 2, Day 3 is Group B Round 1 Part 1, Day 4 is Group B Round 1 Part 2, Day 5 is Group C Round 1 Part 1, and so on and so forth until we reach Group F Round 1 Part 2, and then the next day we'll fold back over for Group A Round 2. I'm splitting up the rounds because tumblr can interpret posting many polls at once as spamming, and each group contains 25 polls, so. 13 one day, 12 the next.

I expect to start polls by Wednesday, May 31, but I may be a little later than that. I'll keep you updated.

Bio:

Basically this demon got fed up with the underworld and revolted to the point of a war breaking out, so he’s completely rogue and definitely a little unhinged. He managed to escape and now lives like a drifter on the surface world.

Classic edgy brooding gunslinger who intimidates most people and is proud of that. Totally someone you’d see in a bar with his legs kicked up on the counter.

He’s an asshat and constantly pissy. Can and will beat the shit out of you if you annoy him. Usual method of quickly dealing with irritation is to throw one of his steel-toed boots, aimed right for the face. And yes he is super fucking strong and can throw bodies across the room no problem. He’s also immortal but can still get injured, and can only be truly killed by other otherworldly beings (i.e. other demons, angels, gods, etc.)

He still wears his helmet he used in battle for a couple reasons, partly since he’s uncertain if he’s got a bounty on him or not, but mostly cos he’s trying to distance himself from his identity as a demon. He does have low self esteem and a lot of unresolved issues (y’know since he was literally a servant of the devil and a battle survivor). Totally bottles up his feelings to the point they manifest in anger. Poor guy needs therapy and a good cry session.

But he still cares. He hides how soft he can really be. Only fully relaxes around people he trusts with his life. Getting past his tough shell rewards with a guy who’s got a passionate soul and a warm heart.

Trivia:

-He has his own insignia which he used during his revolt

-His eye turns red with fury

-His blood is black and tar-like

-When he’s happy his tail wags, and he does purr

-He eats raw steak as a way of weaning off the urge from being forced to feast on the souls of the damned when he served hell

-At one point he had an angel counterpart named Solar Eclipse (his previous full name was Lunar Eclipse) but he’s pretty much outdated and a dead oc now

-His prime design inspiration - the music video for the Vocaloid song ‘Alter Ego’ by Misumi

(Also I have no idea how or why this happens, but pretty much every time I’ve shown him off there’s always at least someone who finds him cute and attractive? Like there has been legitimate thirst for my guy before and it’s slightly concerning given this man will severely injure you if you aggravate him enough. I mean yes he’s a charming softy once you win him over but that’s near impossible.)

📖 : I really liked the sequence in A Shadow In RiverClan where Feathertail is having a flashback about the Bonehill incident. I related to that.

👶: I was in 4th grade. I had moved from New Mexico to Kentucky and my first friend happened to be a warriors fan. I wasn't really interested bc Into The Wild was boring to me. Then I picked up Rising Storm and fell in love.

💢: ANYTHING WITH CLEAR SKY

💧: I used to cry over it a lot when I was younger. I cried over Bluestar's death and when I finished The Darkest Hour.

💋: I remember really disliking SandxFire when I was younger but as I grew up I started loving them and realized how problematic SpottedxFire and CinderxFire were. Ew.

🐾: I never officially named any of my cats warriors names, but I would give them warriors nicknames. For example: I have two cats named Sparky and Oreo. Their nicknames are Sparkystar and Oreoclaw.

1️⃣: I believe it was my first animal based book series. I always loved animal based stories and movies though.

👑: When I first started out, yes. But I learned pretty quickly that isn't the right way to RP.

🖌️: My first official warriors OC was Eclipse, a loner turned WindClan warrior, descendent of Scourge. I was in 5th or 6th grade. I'm sure I made some before that but I don't remember them.

📝: Depending on which of my favorites I could write one of those English Class book review essays.

💔: Not really. I usually tell people early on when meeting them bc I know how judgmental people can be. I would rather not get into an actual friendship if they're going to think I'm "cringe" or "weird" for liking the series.

🌈: I was never on the forums but Scourge's collar is purple and if you must have it be something else it's red.

🆕: I am, although I didn't read every single book in AVOS. The fandom really went hard on that series and the second half wasn't as good as the first.

📱: I made an account once and tried to interact with people but they were kind of gatekeepy so I just never went back on there.

Hellooo! I have a quick question I haven’t been able to answer myself so I figured why not ask someone?

I need help choosing a name for a nightlight oc I’ve made. I’ve currently got nothing 💀. He’s your typical nightlight looking dragon (Mainly black body, the tips of his “ears” are white as well as his feet, nose, tips of tail, chest, and about half his wings) he also has blue-green eyes c: All he needs is a name now.

I’d appreciate the small favor!

oh i don't know if i'm the best to ask, the way i name my ocs doesn't seem to mesh well with the httyd world- but i'll give it a go!

i've noticed that nightlights seem to be named things like Chase, Twist, Flash, Zip- single words that have a more..."active" feel to them, though thats not always the case

also the white "points" on him kinda made me think of a more winter-y feel, like the lil guy just took a walk in the snow (not sure why that came to mind, but it did!) so perhaps something like flurry, snowstep, frost, winterwing- things like that

I'm kinda nervous to write and post it. It's about Halo Reach of Noble Six waiting to meet the Noble team, to bluntly explain it.

13. Evaporate

The hunter took a deep breath before transmitting to the Beyond. It had been… she wasn’t sure how long- since she had been to the Beyond, Alex didn’t want to face the Exo Stranger. Not after what she did. The confession still clung to her mind; she rushed it, getting too far ahead before realizing what she said. What it could do. Of course the Exo Stranger- Elsie- couldn’t return the feeling back, the Pyramids still held some threat and with the Savathun mess, there wouldn’t be time to have a relationship.

Alex could feel the snow crunch below her boots. She reached to take, and took too much- she should’ve just held what she could have. The hunter slowly approached her, the Exo Stranger stayed in watching the Pyramid. Alex hoped the exo hadn’t heard her yet. Her heart pounded in her ears, Alex wanted to turn back; run away, hoping she could take it back. She didn’t want to destroy the trust she had with the Exo Stranger.

“Are you going to stand there all day… or are you going to explain why you disappeared?”

She jumped, head jerking up. The Exo Stranger was turned to her, arms crossed, and white optics narrowed right at her. Alex winced, she was definitely angry. The Exo Stranger walked up to her. “You’ve been gone for two months. Two.”

“Spider had a lot-”

“I checked. There haven't been any big missions, he’s busy with Drifter. Are you going to keep on lying?”

“...er, I didn’t think you… you would want to see me,” Alex glanced away- despite her helmet, the Exo Stranger knew exactly where her eyes were, “after what I did.”

“And you thought leaving was the best option?” The Exo Stranger stayed quiet for a few moments; she slowly reached a hand out, laying against Alex’s arm. Alex was reminded how much she missed her. “I was worried… I thought you were hurt.”

Alex felt hot; embarrassment and guilt flooded through her. Another rash decision she soon regretted. Her mind screamed at her to say an explanation, but all that ran through her was the Exo Stranger’s hand on her arm and wanting to apologize over and over again.

“Eclipse came by,” the Exo Stranger moved her hand up, “he wanted to apologize for pushing you into… that.”

“I’m sorry. I- I should’ve known, you know, since- since, uh,” her face burned when the Exo Stranger pressed her hand to her helmet where her cheek was. The exo seemed to realize what she did and dropped her hand. Alex blinked, trying to remember what she was saying, “uh, since you know… the dark timeline, Savathun, and whatever the Pyramids are doing.”

“It’s… been a long time since I thought of… of feeling that way. I focused on making sure my time didn’t happen in this one, making sure my sister didn’t find out her family origins. I helped guardians control Stasis.” The Exo Stranger glanced to the side before looking back at her. “Now… I don’t know, Alex… after this, when it’s over, I would like it… I would like it if you took me on a date. I’m not asking you to wait for me, but if you…”

“Elsie, I-”

Another guardian transmitted into the Beyond. Alex realized how close she was to the Exo Stranger, taking a step back as the guardian made their way over. It was back to business. As the guardian took up a conversation with the Exo Stranger, Alex stepped away to the radio; with PBJ’s help, she quickly wrote down on a small piece of paper and wrapped it around a memory fragment.

Alex left it there. She gave a glance over at her, chuckling softly as the guardian continued to talk about something while the Exo Stranger stood there, and transmitted away

Hanna-Barbera Head Dump 1: Into the Honkai-verse

I never did a H-B head dump post here? Huh...you learn something new every day.

Anyhoo, I’ve been playing Honkai Impact like crazy, and I’m kinda sorta hopping back on the H-B stuff I’ve been working on, so naturally, my mind has been going back to my H-B crossover. And if you think that’s the oddest thing you can crossover with Hanna-Barbera, you should check out their actual crossovers. They have one where Fred and Barney meet The Thing. Yes, you read that right.

The trouble I had here was coming up with the male equivalent of a Valkyrie. Some quick research shows that it would most likely be the Einherjar, the slain warriors who are carried by the Valkyries to Valhalla. Since the Honkai verse is about a long drawn out war with the Honkai (spanning three games, if I’m right), especially considering the recent events in the game, I figured this would be a good fit. And some of the H-B characters do die here, though only Top Cat’s mirrors Himeko’s death; I’m trying to make sure that this story isn’t a cut-and-paste crossover with the original game.

The cast is halfway complete, though two characters are kind of evading me: Bronya’s and Seele’s. I’m torn between choosing Boo-Boo or Augie Doggie to fill the role of Bronya, since Augie’s got the smarts, and Boo-Boo occasionally has that snarkiness. Doesn’t help that here, this stand in will have most of Bronya’s original battlesuits and Herrscher form. As for Seele, I’m toying with the idea of maybe having Melissa in this role, though Huck was also a strong contender. Picturing her with a sadistic double side would be pretty interesting.

Touché, of course, had to be Durandal. But unlike the original Durandal, he’s gonna have a lot of battle scars here, and it’ll show.

A lot of series will probably be featured, and like my first major crossover, The Heroes of Time, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, and Scooby-Doo will be featured. While Orbit City, Coolsville, and Bedrock will be featured, only a few of those characters will be featured alongside the main protagonists. The reason for that is because their stories are told in the Chronicles side stories, similar to the actual game where you learn more about the Valks there than you do during the main story.

The battlesuits were difficult, too, but also a lot of fun. Some I lifted from the series each character is based on, while some are taken from the game. And the Herrscher forms were changed around a bit (minus the Herrscher of Reason and the Herrscher of Sentience) due to the character motivations being different here. A lot of H-B characters, including a few of mine and Vulaan Kulaas’ OCs, have original battlesuits, though the ones that are lifted from the game will be marked in bold:

Empty Ceremonies of the Effigies (Twilight): A Cynis lady and necromancer-mechanic (specifically mannequins of bone and cloth), hosts various close knit parties with her ghost clique and maybe other PCs.

The Last Lights of a Treacherous Night (Night): They died lost in treacherous forest mazes. They help others to find their way out of similar situations via special lanterns. Always dresses like a ghost story figure of some sort.

Final Counting of the Cattlehead (Eclipse): A mysterious drifter spirit rides in on their horse and deals with your financial grief. Armies and brigands are for their compatriots to resolve.

1) Your first OC ever?

okay, the first one ever ever ever ever in any context was a self-insert for Gundam Wing in a fanfiction that shall never see the light of day.... as much because I tossed the notebook it was in as anything else. 

My first TTRPG OC (that I remember at any rate) was for Exalted, Tepet Sandara. In that original incarnation she was a socialite martial artist who was hiding her exaltation as a Zenith Caste Solar, and trying to reform the Scarlet Empire from within. I never wrote down any stories with her in them, but I had this big saga also happening with the effects of her first age incarnation known as “Grandmother Fan”.

2) Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

hmmm... Hard to say. Probably Charybdis Beneath the Tides, my sea-person Daybreak Abyssal who is Skullstone’s Minister of Ceremonies. Putting together her backstory in Sunken Luthe was fun and her name is one of my absolute crowning achievements. 

28) Your most dangerous OC?

Three way tie between 3rd edition Sandara, Charybdis, and Obsidian Butterfly. 

3rd Edition Sandara is dangerous from a social perspective, in part becuase she doesn’t look it, but at the same time she’d be able to cut someone to their metaphorical knees with a well placed insult. Then you add in shapeshifting and the breadth of knowledge that is potentially at her fingertips. 

Charybdis has the backing of the Silver Prince behind her for political danger, and is also a top notch necromancer. She’ll kill you then use your corpse against your allies. 

Obsidian Butterfly, a Dawn caste Solar, is well, a swordmage, more or less. And what makes her dangerous is her capacity for merging sorcery with swordplay, as well as the fact that she was broken by her captivity in the Wyld, even as it gave her access to sorcery and eventually lead to her exaltation. If you don’t act in the way her internal story says you should act there’s not much to be done as she tries to correct you. 

43) Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess

my confession is that there’s a good portion of my OCs are based upon characters in other franchises that I then alter to fit the ttrpg setting. Like... maybe half of my list is like that. (ex. Deris is based on Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, Anada, Yasuo, and Sanya are based on characters from the Anime/Manga Drifters, but I also changed around genders. Sherry is a genderflipped Sherlock Holmes a la Elementary. Lie-Smith is based on Marvel’s Loki. the unnamed Eclipse solar is based on Doug Ramsey from Marvel. the unnamed maned wolf lunar is based on Warlock from Marvel. Lock the Soil Liminal is based on Douglock from Marvel. so on so forth.)

For OCs created without the influence of another franchise, I’m mainly trying to make a build of sorts or fill a role that I find cool, with the personality often coming second (Sandara was originally made to be the opposite of Tepet Lisara in the 2nd core book. Ghost Flower was trying to make a DB using Performance combat charms. Obsidian was me trying to make a D&D like sword mage. so on so forth)

Aiden gave a deep sigh as he stood in the men’s locker room getting changed out of his scrubs so he could go home. The day had been trying so all Aiden wanted was a hot cup of blood followed by the piece of passing out till the morning when fortunately he would have the day off to relax. After closing his locker Aiden headed out of the hospital however as he trotted down the front stairs suddenly two vampires jumped Aiden from either side, gripping his upper arms tightly as they swiftly shoved him off course. Bishop’s scent was all over the two meaning they were his lackeys leading to a severe eye roll from Aiden with an irritated grumble as they led him around the corner into an ally way where a single yet highly familiar car was waiting with a just as familiar figure leaning against it, atypical smirk plastered on his features. The two goons holding Aiden shoved him towards Bishop and Aiden didn’t even flinch simply managed another irritated groan.

 “Bishop, what part of I’m out don’t you understand?” Aiden asked irritably

 “You should know me by now Aiden…won’t give up with out a fight, anyway that has nothing to do with why you’re here right now,” Bishop stated pushing off of his car to take a couple steps closer to Aiden.

 “Then why am I?” Aiden retorted still looking highly un-amused

 “I have a warning for you…after all that’s what family is for,” Bishop continued although remaining vague.

 “Bishop…I’m tired, I’ve had a long day so whatever you want just spit it out already,” Aiden insisted with an exasperated exhale.

 “Fine…there’s a bounty hunter in town, best watch your back especially seeing as you share space with a couple other monsters…” Bishop trailed off

 “A bounty hunter? Here? How do you know that?” Aiden asked suddenly extremely interested.

 “I’ve had a lot of family members go missing as of late only to find out that they were decapitated by a bounty hunter,” Bishop explained gesturing lazily with his hands as he paced. Aiden took a few heavy breaths before swallowing hard with his eyes trained on Bishop, in the past he’d had a few encounters with bounty hunters and they weren’t fun ones either. Bounty hunters were nasty pieces of work that killed things like vampires, werewolves and really anything else that goes bump in the night or not really it didn’t matter to a Bounty hunter as long as they got paid. Every Bounty hunter called what they did a craft, an art form thus it made each one extremely specialized in what they do…oh plus they could be anything themselves, some were other worldly while others were humans yet all were deadly.

 “Well…um…thanks, I guess…but don’t think this means I owe you anything! I’m still out, got it?” Aiden reminded Bishop harshly

 “Of course, simply extending the courtesy” Bishop assured Aiden with that predatory grin of his with his hands raised defensively.

 Aiden quickly ducked out of the ally while Bishop was willing to let him go making certain to head straight home. Aiden practically burst through the door, dumping his backpack on the ground just inside the door before running into the kitchen where he found Sally talking with Josh.

 “Aiden?” Sally asked as she looked up from where she was sitting on the counter

 “What’s wrong?” Josh asked following Sally’s gaze to the vamp

 “We’ve got a problem,” Aiden panted

 After several minutes of explanation of what had happened with Bishop then a separate explanation about Bounty hunters to catch both his room mates up Aiden finally reached his point.

 “So all I’m saying is that you need to be careful,” Aiden stated as he stared into the mug in front of him.

 “Wait let me get this straight! Some hunter is coming after us! To kill us?” Josh asked in shock/horror.

 “Only if your not careful…look, these ‘people��� usually only come to town to check on turf. They hunt for a month or two then they move on, constant drifters…trust me just watch your back for a little while and then it will all go away,” Aiden explained

 “Why would Bishop warn you though? I thought he was pissed at you?” Sally asked furrowing her brow in confusion as she sat on top of the kitchen table.

 “Bishop is pissed that I left but…I’m still family to him,” Aiden continued with an unsatisfied look on his face.

 “So all I do is lay low for a little while and this will all pass over?” Josh asked seeking clarification.

 “Both of us need to lay low but yes, I swear…I’ve had encounters with Bounty hunters before trust me it’s easiest not to mention safest just to lay low until they blow out of town,” Aiden assured Josh

 “Okay, all right…we’ll lay low,” Josh agreed with a calming sigh as he ran a hand over his face.

 ~*~

 Life went on as normal for the next couple weeks but Aiden kept tabs on the killings in town, specifically the ones where they were decapitated. Almost a month had passed but killings were still happening leaving Aiden to believe that the Bounty hunter was still in town and what was worse was that the full moon was approaching rapidly for Josh meaning he’d be put at risk. Letting out a heavy sigh Aiden folded the newspaper he’d been reading while sitting at the kitchen table, tossing it onto the table then standing up to finish getting ready for work. All in all work went well for Aiden but with all the stress of trying to hide not only himself but his best friend Josh, Aiden was certainly feeling worn out lately so home was exactly where he was heading, hustling down the sidewalk when suddenly a scream caught his attention from a nearby alleyway. Hurrying towards the sound Aiden turned down the ally heading straight to the back where he found two figures, one holding the other up against a chain link fence with a hand clasped to his throat while the man struggled. A sword glistened in the moonlight in the figures other hand then it caught the long hair blowing in the wind giving off flashes of red, blood red but it also carried a scent on it straight to Aiden’s nose that was highly yet impossibly familiar. Aiden’s eyes grew wide while the figure slowly turned to look over its shoulder at him revealing two emerald green eyes staring at him as pale skin was revealed, reflecting the crimson of her hair.

 “Drade…” Aiden trailed off in a whisper

 “Aiden…?” The crimson haired woman responded in a velvety smooth voice as she turned to reveal herself entirely in the moonlight. The woman had on a black London style trench coat that came down to her knees over a pair of dark wash jeans all eclipsed by her crimson colored hair, smooth pale skin and incredibly strong aura. Suddenly Aiden’s mind was pushed back to a time long ago, back when he was still human before Bishop turned him into the monster he is now, flashback images of him with Drade during the civil war. Aiden could see himself kissing Drade passionately then images of a romantic moonlit night flashed through his head then a battle between Bishop and Drade that ended with him leaving with Bishop while Drade screamed vengeance upon Bishop for taking him. Snapping back to current day Aiden couldn’t believe that the same woman whom he’d lost that long ago was now standing back in front of him but what was worse it was painfully clear she was the Bounty hunter that Bishop had warned about.

 “How? How are you here?” Aiden asked in shock

 “Well, well, if this isn’t just peachy…be with you in a moment” Drade cooed

 Aiden watched as moments later the guy whom Drade had pinned slumped to the ground as his head rolled beside his body. Drade swiped the blade through the air to clean it of the blood before sheathing it then proceeding to pick up the head, shoving it in a leather drawstring bag that she synched shut.

 “What happened to you?” Aiden asked as he stared in disbelief at the woman

“You mean other then chasing yours and Bishop’s Asses all over the globe? Not much, god Aiden…you’re just as handsome as you were back then,” Drade smiled warmly as she got closer to Aiden.

 “I thought…we’d never see each other again,” Aiden admitted suddenly feeling the warmth build inside him just as it had all those years ago when he’d first met Drade.

 “Bad luck I guess, you haven’t changed…” Drade trailed off as she got with in inches of Aiden who got a good look at her now only to see something was different in her eyes, something darker, something colder.

 “Drade…your different then I remember,” Aiden brought up almost wanting to watch what he said around her, as the red heads aura was so intense.

 “Yeah…well…things change,” Drade vaguely confirmed

 “I’ve missed you,” Aiden confessed

 “Me too, well…if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a head to drop off,” Drade stated with a smile as she caressed Aiden’s cheek lightly then strutted past him with a wave. Aiden watched as Drade strode down the ally onto the street towards a flashy, crimson painted hearse that she climbed into before driving off leaving Aiden stunned.
