Ignacio Arfeli - Posthumanism

Ignacio Arfeli

is a techno producer and DJ originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but currently residing in Lisbon, Portugal. His artistic development was significantly shaped by his move from Buenos Aires to Berlin, and later to Lisbon. Berlin, in particular, had a huge impact on his creativity and network within electronic music.

Although he is relatively new to the scene, he has already made a name for himself with his powerful, innovative style within the techno genre. He is known for his ability to combine dark, raw techno with melodic elements and emotional depth. His style brings a fresh, modern energy that appeals to both dance floors and listeners. His creativity and constant search for new sounds make him a standout artist within the electronic music scene.

Ignacio Arfeli has undergone an impressive journey in the techno scene in a short period of time. Early in his career, he received support from heavyweights like Adam Beyer, ANNA, Maceo Plex, Pan-Pot, and Victor Ruiz; as well as Eric Prydz, who played his tracks at festivals and clubs worldwide. His track 'Singularity' was released on the prestigious label Drumcode, as part of the compilation 'A-Sides Vol. 12'. This was a significant milestone, as it was Arfeli's first demo that was immediately picked up and led to his breakthrough. In addition to Drumcode, he also released music on labels such as Terminal M, Codex, and Volta Records, confirming his versatility and production quality. He launched 7even Radio, a platform where he shares cutting-edge techno and further develops his artistic vision.

His performances, like recently at EPHIMERA Tulum and Culture Box in Copenhagen, showcase his ability to take an audience on an intense, hypnotic journey. He does not choose the easiest path, but rather a sound that sticks. His sets are not a mere collection of loose tracks, but carefully constructed musical journeys. He plays with tension, rhythm, and atmosphere, drawing the audience in completely. Arfeli is known for his ability to surprise the audience with unexpected breaks, melodic layers, or industrial accents. Despite his intense style, Arfeli remains remarkably attuned to the energy of the room. He senses when to speed up, slow down, or strike an emotional chord. This keeps his sets fresh and captivating, even for seasoned techno enthusiasts. His background as a producer clearly shines through in his live sets. He mixes with surgical precision and knows exactly when to build up or release tension.

by Ignacio Arfeli is an immersive techno release that appeared on April 25, 2025, via the label Memoro. The track falls within the genre Peak Time / Driving Techno, with a tempo of 135 BPM. In terms of atmosphere, it perfectly aligns with Arfeli’s live sets: dark, hypnotic, and with a futuristic undertone. The title 'Posthumanism' also seems thematically to refer to a world where technology and humanity merge, a concept that fits well with his layered, atmospheric production style.

Sabato 14 ottobre 2023 al Bolgia di Bergamo arriva Ilario Alicante, da anni uno dei  protagonisti italiani della scena elettronica internazionale. Per il top club sull'A4, un punto riferimento assoluto per chi ha voglia di ballare con i più importanti dj al mondo, si tratta di un altro imperdibile appuntamento della stagione autunno - inverno - primavera 2023/4. Alicante, in particolare, ha un legame fortissimo con il pubblico del Bolgia. 

Classe '88, 320mila follower su Instagram, enfant prodige della techno internazionale, livornese, Ilario Alicante è da tempo presenza fissa nei top club e nei festival più importanti del pianeta, dall'Ultra all'ARC, al toscano Decibel. E' il dj più giovane della storia ad aver messo piede sul palco del Time Warp, a Rotterdam. Vale poi la pena citare due top party come Ants o Elrow, che lo hanno visto protagonista anche nelle ultime settimane all'Amnesia di Ibiza. Cocoon, Drumcode, Natura Viva e Virgo le etichette con cui Alicante continua a collaborare con continuità. "Psychedelic", su WTF! Music, contiene "Origami", recente produzione potente e dal sapore ipnotico, come ogni suo dj set, ogni notte diverso e sorprendente. Dopo un top club come il Bolgia, il 21/10 Alicante vola in Olanda, ad Amsterdam, all'Havenpark, per far scatenar durante l'ADE il Dockyard Festival, in compagnia di altri pesi massimi come Chris Liebing, HI-LO o Secret Cinema. Movement Detroit Unveils Lineup Teaser with Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer

After an explosive 2020 lineup never came to fruition, many Movement-goers were left itching to see what Paxhau would bring (back) to the table for this year.

Albeit, this is just a teaser, there is already an impressive buzz being generated among fans with the balance of 2020 lineup names, new favorites, and festival mainstays.

The Movement mainstage has always been home to dance music heavy-weights. This year is no different with Drumcode label boss Adam Beyer, Techno titan Richie Hawtin; as well as renowned Techno pioneer, and Detroit Native Jeff Mills, rounding out the headlining spots for each day.

“Of all the places I’ve traveled to and audiences I’ve played music for, Detroit is still the city that remains the barometer of advanced creative knowledge and technique,” states Mills. “…The city taught me to never fear what lies beyond but embrace it as a means to advance the music art form. I look forward to Movement 2022 – returning back to the city and to the people that taught me and the World everything.”

Rejoining us from the last lineup comes UK Drum and Bass legends Goldie and LTJ Bukem, who will finally be able to perform together for their first time as Goldie b2b LTJ Bukem. Other returning names include The Blessed Madonna, Louie Vega, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Anna, Blawan, Carl Craig, Claude Von Stroke, Nina Kraviz, and Eris Drew b2b Octa Octa.

With the inclusion of so many stellar names you almost miss out of the new additions to this years lineup that we weren’t seeing before— LCD Soundsystem frontman and DFA co-founder, James Murphy; NYC mainstay and “45 Queen” Natasha Diggs; Naples rising Techno star Anfisa Letyago; Noise Manifesto co-owner Paula Temple; and Chicago’s singer-songwriter and producer duo DRAMA.

In typical Movement fashion, they have kept up with bringing an utterly original experience to Detroit, emphasizing authenticity and a lineup that showcases differing styles, identities, artists, and more. They have continuously shown their fingers on the pulse of what current dance music fans are craving.

Re:Generate - E-Dancer (2021, Drumcode Records) is the pseudonym of Inner-City's Kevin Saunderson and third of The Belleville Three. Due to the mainstream popularity of Inner City, the E-Dancer project had ended up absorbing all of the other side-projects, including "Reese" which was the pseudonym for Rock To The Beat, the heavily covered and sampled techno piece which is known for its movie-soundtrack style production.

Tracked onto this month's playlist and remixed by UK's Special Request, Rock To The Beat remains among the handful, if not, THE techno anthem of Detroit. Along with that remix are over a dozen other E-Dancer tracks remixed, with support from DJ Minx, Robert Hood, Funk D'Void, Amelie Lens and many more. Saunderson's inspiration for this collection was to showcase new talent and the next generation of producers, the influenced and the splintering of a movement, into one release. Connecting the past to the present, leading back into the future. Out now on Adam Beyer's Drumcode label.

First names confirmed for Detroit Love, Exhale and Innervisions parties: OFFSónar reveal first line ups for 2020 series with Moodymann, Inner City, Daniel Avery, HAAi, Kobosil, Dr. Rubinstein, Dax J and more confirmed.

Barcelona’s OFFSónar has revealed the first artist lineups for their 2020 series, with a huge selection of cutting-edge acts confirmed for showcases from Detroit Love, Exhale and Innervisions. Taking place from 18 – 21 of June, the four days of OFFSónar parties are located within the unique open-air Poble Espanyol complex and run concurrently to Sónar festival.

Once again taking over all three venues within Poble Espanyol is Innervisions, who have confirmed no less than 20 artists for their showcase which will bring OFFSónar’s four days of parties to a monumental close on Sunday 21st of June. The forward thinking bill includes an impressive series of b2b sets, including an unmissable b2b2b with Âme, Marcel Dettmann and Rødhåd, while innovative craftsman Daniel Avery will join forces with frequent DJing partner and eclectic selector HAAi, with Or:la and Roi Perez also teaming up. Agoria, DJ Koze, Gerd Janson, Donna Leake and Denis Horvat are also amongst those confirmed, with the finale party curated and capped off by label co-founders Dixon and Âme.

Carl Craig is poised to welcome fellow Detroit techno pioneers Inner City (live), Moodymann and Octave One (live) for his Detroit Love party on Thursday 18th June. His friend and peer Mirko Loko will also join proceedings plus Viennese DJ Flo Real, with the party set to take over the stunning Monasterio venue that’s situated at the highest point of Poble Espanyol and boasts panoramic views across Barcelona.

Continuing to push forward the new generation of techno, Amelie Lens will return to Carpa & Picnic with her lauded Exhale imprint. Joining her is Dax J, bringing his individual style of raw and uncompromising techno to the pine-filled outdoor space. Also confirmed is rising Belgian artist Farrago – having released their debut EP on Amelie’s LENSKE label in 2018 – as well as Kobosil and Modular Gang founder Rachel Lyn.

Running as the companion event to Sónar festival to create summer’s most anticipated party week in Europe, OFFSónar offers four days of parties for the most discerning lovers of house and techno within the backdrop of the vibrant city of Barcelona. Blessed with 4 kilometers of sandy beaches, the cosmopolitan city is a hub of culture, art and nightlife, and with OFFSónar’s setting of Poble Espanyol cradling three iconic venues, is not to be missed. The series has also confirmed events from Circoloco, Drumcode, and an OFFSónar special with Paul Kalkbrenner & Boris Brejcha, with more details, line ups, and two more events still to be revealed.
