*İkinci sette 7-5'e imza atan Paolini 1-1'i yakaladı.
Tebrik ediyoruz kendisini.

thinking about how 2.05 was the realist 'armand' we've seen. everything else is a performance, especially dubai. wonder what it takes for him be willing to break through that facade and expose himself for someone else to see.
I think that’s half-true. Dubai is a performance, Paris is a performance, San Francisco is the closest we get to seeing cracks in that facade. But the thing about Armand is that he doesn’t really have a personality. He has desires (and duties) and he’s goal-oriented about fulfilling those desires (“”). He thinks Louis wants someone safe, someone who’s not like Lestat, so he becomes that person for Louis. I’m not really sure if I’d call that a performance, though. It is a role he inhabits, it is a mask he puts on, but it’s not really like he’s obscuring other parts of himself on purpose. This isn’t really a wolf in sheep’s clothing situation. It’s more like the wolf has successfully deluded itself into thinking it’s a sheep. He’s a method actor. He’s embodied the role. There’s no real differentiation between the role and who he is. He’s not really attempting to obfuscate who he “really is,” because there’s nothing besides the method. He’s a black hole of desire and duty. Everything else follows from that. How do I accomplish my duty? How do I fulfill my role as maitre? How do I be what Louis wants? How do I make Louis stay with me?
In San Francisco, he’s upset because Louis has broken their arrangement that, to Armand, implicitly states that Louis is free to do whatever he wants as long as he comes home to Armand. He’s upset because Louis isn’t home on time, both physically and emotionally. He shared his life with someone who isn’t Armand. It was a betrayal. Therefore he punishes Louis (and Daniel). It’s true his emotions boiled over and he found himself unable to continue playing the role of Louis’ gentle, safe partner (“gremlin or the good nurse”) but it’s also a rational response within Armand’s framework of understanding relationships. Louis wants security. Armand provides security. Therefore Louis should stay with him. However, despite him providing security, love, devotion, etc., Louis has been disloyal. And how do you respond to someone breaking a contract? By enforcing it. Louis also calls him boring, which is the insult that stings the most. Armand’s purpose in his relationship with Louis is to be what Louis wants. So if Louis wants interesting, wants conflict, wants Lestat, well, he can be that person too. He is emotional, and he is hurt, and angry, and fraying at the edges, but it’s not inconsistent with “the role.” It’s part of it. He’s the same person. Nothing’s changed.
If you’re talking about wanting to see an outwardly emotional Armand, I’m sure we’ll see it in the finale. Armand really does believe in his performance as a method actor, so I don’t think he goes for outright falsehoods and lies. For him it’s closer to obfuscation. He’s all very self-controlled, so even though it’s obvious that there’s a streak of genuine sadism that runs through him, it’s not any more or less real than the self-control. I guess my point is that there’s not really a “real” Armand. He’s dedicated to the performance. He embodies his character. Anything that seems out of character is usually a rational response to someone not following their part in the script he’s written in his head. If only he does what this person wants, then they’ll do what he wants too. It’s contractual, maybe sometimes transactional. It’s duty. So I don’t really think we can peel back all that to find the “real” Armand when he believes in the authenticity of what he does. I don’t think the “real” Armand is his worst moments. It’s the good, too, and it’s the patience, and the devotion, and the need for love, and all the other things he can be. I do get what you mean, though. I’d also like to see him unstable and anguished. It’s fun.

NEW YORK (AP) — The National Rifle Association and its former longtime leader were found liable Friday in a lawsuit centered on the organization’s lavish spending.
The New York jury found that Wayne LaPierre, who was the NRA’s CEO for three decades, misspent millions of dollars of the group’s money on pricey perks, and it ordered him to repay the group $4,351,231. Jurors also found that the NRA omitted or misrepresented information in its tax filings and violated New York law by failing to adopt a whistleblower policy.
LaPierre, 74, sat stone-faced in the front row of the courtroom as the verdict was read aloud. The jury actually found him liable for $5.4 million, but it determined he’d already paid back a little over a million.
The verdict is a win for New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat who campaigned on investigating the NRA’s not-for-profit status. It is the latest blow to the powerful group, which in recent years has been beset by financial troubles and dwindling membership. LaPierre, its longtime face, announced his resignation on the eve of the trial.
NRA general counsel John Frazer and retired finance chief Wilson Phillips were also defendants in the case. Phillips was ordered to pay $2 million in damages to the NRA. Frazer, meanwhile, was found to have violated his duties, but was not ordered to pay any money.
The penalties paid by LaPierre and Phillips will go back to the NRA, which was portrayed in the case both as a defendant that lacked internal controls to prevent misspending and as a victim of that same misconduct.
James also wants the three men to be banned from serving in leadership positions at any charitable organizations that conduct business in New York. A judge will decide that question during the next phase of the state Supreme Court trial.
Another former NRA executive turned whistleblower, Joshua Powell, settled with the state last month, agreeing to testify at the trial, pay the NRA $100,000 and forgo further involvement with nonprofits.
James sued the NRA and its executives in 2020 under her authority to investigate not-for-profits registered in the state.
She originally sought to have the entire organization dissolved, but Manhattan Judge Joel M. Cohen ruled in 2022 that the allegations did not warrant a “corporate death penalty.”
The trial, which began last month, cast a spotlight on the leadership, organizational culture and finances of the powerful lobbying group, which was founded more than 150 years ago in New York City to promote rifle skills and grew into a political juggernaut that influenced federal law and presidential elections.
Before he stepped down, LaPierre, had led the NRA’s day-to-day operations since 1991, acting as its face and becoming one of the country’s most influential figures in shaping gun policy.
During the trial, state lawyers argued that he dodged financial disclosure requirements while treating the NRA as his personal piggy bank, liberally dipping into its coffers for African safaris and other questionable expenditures.
His lawyer cast the trial as a political witch hunt by James.
LaPierre billed the NRA more than $11 million for private jet flights and spent more than $500,000 on eight trips to the Bahamas over a three-year span, state lawyers said.
He also authorized $135 million in NRA contracts for a vendor whose owners showered him with free trips to the Bahamas, Greece, Dubai and India, as well as access to a 108-foot (33-meter) yacht.
LaPierre claimed he hadn’t realized the travel tickets, hotel stays, meals, yacht access and other luxury perks counted as gifts, and that the private jet flights were necessary for his safety.
But he conceded that he had wrongly expensed private flights for his family and accepted vacations from vendors doing business with the NRA without disclosing them.
Among those who testified at the trial was Oliver North, a one-time NRA president and former National Security Council military aide best known for his central role in the Iran-Contra scandal of the 1980s. North, who resigned from the NRA in 2019, said he was pushed out after raising allegations of financial irregularities.
After reporting a $36 million deficit in 2018 fueled largely by misspending, the NRA cut back on longstanding programs that had been core to its mission, including training and education, recreational shooting and law enforcement initiatives. In 2021, it filed for bankruptcy and sought to incorporate in Texas instead of New York, but a judge rejected the move, saying it was an attempt to duck James’ lawsuit.
Despite its recent woes, the NRA remains a political force. Republican presidential hopefuls flocked to its annual convention last year and former President Donald Trump spoke at an NRA event earlier this month — his eighth speech to the association, it said.

Full interview with Andy about the changes he would make to tennis if he was in charge - main points:
would like to add a Masters 1000 tournament on grass, a Masters 1000 tournament in the Middle East, and a Masters 1000 tournament in South America
bigger South American Swing, Australian Swing one week longer, longer grass season
shorter season in total, better balance between exhos and tournaments (top players shouldn't complain about the length of the season so much but then play lots of exhos in the off season or even during the season), acknowledges that it's difficult to find that balance because lower ranked players want and need to play more to earn money
wants to merge the tours! talks about the logistical headache of scheduling with two organisations, ATP and WTA, and that hopefully being a bit easier with merged tours so tournaments have one organisation to deal with
worried about the super slam breakaway tour rumours
And in conclusion:
“Everyone's looking out for their best interests and that's not always the best thing for the sport. Everyone is sort of fighting a bit with each other and it would be much easier if everyone actually worked together for the common good. And I don't know. That's what I hope will happen; I'd say it's unlikely.”

with Sydney being 9 hours ahead of the UK and it taking a day to travel there I wouldn't be surprised if they went straight from Dublin to Australia.
That’s true, I guess he’d probably stop off if in like Dubai or Bangkok or something too. Imagine just bumping into him in the airport duty free shop 🫠
I wonder what he is like at packing too I don’t suppose he needs to agonise much over outfit choices 🤭

I wonder how conservative Christians who hate on childless women feel about nuns and other women who choose to be celibate for spiritual reasons.
I gave up on men 2 years ago and honestly I think I made the right choice. Gen z men are NOT fit to be fathers and husbands lol
Those conservatives don't care about nun because nun are selfless pious women who made a vow of chastity.
Conservatives hate childless women because they have (casual) sex and unabashedly enjoy life. They're not subservient to anyone and can even manage to pay people to do stuff for them to remove themselves of "female duties".
There's a post on TikTok with a woman showing a comment she got on a video where she posted the meal she got at the restaurant, of a man saying he hated seeing women eating food they didn't make themselves. This comment alone revealed that men actually have resentment against women having it so much easy - especially without them or children. They hate having to realize that not only women don't "need" men, but they can actual afford themselves to be treated well while alone. They hate to see women removed from the emotional and physical toll of having to cater for a man, and finding ways to get free time by their own means (going to restaurant/getting delivery food instead of cooking, having an housekeeper to not having to take care of their home...)
I never dated a man but my interactions with most of them always confirm me that I was right/lucky to never let one touch me. A few days ago I was talking with a male colleague and he was trying to convince me the women who got coerced into eating feces during Dubai potta porty trip deserved it because they were escorts. I tried to explain him that just bc they were escort doesn't mean they didn't have boundaries but, according to him, being a sex worker removed women from their right to say 'no'. Oh he also joked(?) about trying sodomy on a sexual partner without warning them... He's only 21.

If you’re boarding an overseas flight, you can’t avoid the airport’s duty-free shops. As long as you know what to look for, you can save a lot of money.
What is duty-free?
You’ve probably seen the brilliantly illuminated shopper’s paradise that is a dubai duty free liquor shop if you’ve ever flown internationally (or even just gone through an international terminal).
But what exactly is a duty-free store? These shops sell a wide variety of goods without the “duty” (the local import tax or levy imposed by government agencies). Liquor, tobacco, fragrances, cosmetics, luxury goods, sweets, and more can often be purchased at reduced prices in duty-free shops. Before purchases of whisky, you must know the Delhi duty free whisky price.
Note that the cashier at the duty-free shop will ask to check your flight pass to verify that you are leaving the country before allowing you to purchase any items. Duty-free shopping is available to those leaving the United States for more than 48 hours.
How big of a discount do travellers get when they shop duty-free?
The amount you save on duty-free airport purchases is not fixed and varies by country, currency conversion rate, and the items purchased. There is no sales tax on any of the items sold in the duty-free stores.
