In the clone wars show season 2 episode 13 there's a standoff between a bad dude, obi-wan, and obi-wan's pacifist boo thang (dutchess satine if mandalor). The bad dude says "who will strike first to kill me, branding themself a cold blooded killer?" From behind him, Anakin ignites his lightsaber thru thre guy's chest and kills the bad dude, the music rises, echoing the first few note of the darth vader theme music that plays whenever Vader is on screen on the movies.
The fucking foreshadowing to anakin becoming vader in the music plus the line just prior that brands him a "cold blooded killer" is just fantastic. It's really the little, purposeful links to the movies that make clone wars such a fantastic show in the star wars canon.

Starting off with my favorite girlie Satine Kryze
I can see satine having an affinity for stained glass and you can see this in the show. Satine’s main design is very art nouveau.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can see her having a lot of pride in the artist craftsmanship and wanting to show that off to rest of the galaxy.

Also Oscar de la Renta. This is not stained glass but it’s very art nouveau. They have a few more designs in this vein.

What happens when fate doesn't favour you? When you have to leave the place you once called home because of things beyond your authority?
You are sent to an unknown land in a decorated carriage and into the arms not of a Lord mysterious to all. Well, he is not a complete stranger to you, but the name 'Neuvillette' is not quite a sufficient description of his personality.
The closer you get to his estate, the more you realise your helplessness. As the daughter of an unfavoured duke in your country, you have been chosen for this unfortunate marriage. When father called you into his office, you did not expect his grim face. Or the news that you were to recieve on that fateful day.
So, fate decided to marry you to the heartless dragon of the waters, Neuvillette. Neuvillette is a bit... mysterious among the upper class. You only hear horrible but unconfirmed stories about him. But if there are so many, there's a good chance that at least one of them is true. He didn't even show up at the wedding ceremony, so you can only imagine his appearance.
Neither fierce anger nor the shedding of tears has solved your situation. It's not fair that you can just be sold around like property if you're a woman. But you also know that the King would have you executed if you opposed him. Maybe that would even be better.
You can just clutch the big, heavy bracelet around your neck, made of beautiful sparkling diamonds, and hope that the sky above you is full of stars for a few more years. That you will feel the satin covers under you when you wake up, that you will see the sunset every night.
These little things that you used to take for granted now threaten you with an eternal goodbye.
You should smile right now. Smile and look out of the beautifully decorated window of your carriage and wave at the people of his estate who wave back cheerfully in your direction.
His people do not look miserable. The houses are beautifully built and the smiles on the children's faces bring tears of happiness to your eyes. At least that can comfort you.
There are also small creatures waving at you which remind you of deer. You have never seen anything like them before in your life. You have only seen dead deer after a successful hunting trip from brother. You have always felt a little sorry for them.
They were probably happy in nature, surrounded by clear water, lush trees and the soothing chirping of birds. And in one moment, it all ends.
Perhaps now you understand how a deer feels.
Before you can think too much about the deer-like girls, the coachman is holding out his hand for you to get out of the carriage.
Fate has brought you in front of his castle. From inside, you can hear the soothing sound of water. How familiar.
With every step, the click of your heels can be heard echoing through the great hall. The maids bow to you, standing in a row. The interior of the castle is beautiful. You feel as if you are a small pebble in a bubbling brook, and everything around you sparkles.
Suddenly you hear your own name echoing around the hall. You look up and see him for the first time.
And oh, what a sight he is.
Eyes that sparkle like polished lapis lazuli jewels. Long white hair that looks like pristine silk. A hardened, blank face that holds no forgiveness. Is this what a dragon is supposed to look like?
You bow to him quickly. If you really don't want to become like a deer, it's better to be polite and obedient. Obedience is something that is implanted in you as a young duchess. It is all you've ever known. Quite unfortunate, is it not?
"Welcome to my estate. You probably know me already, but I politely ask you to refer to me by my surname. Since exactly one month ago, we are husband and wife by law. I hope you had a safe journey here." He greeted you formally. You also realised that he called you by your father's surname. Since you are his wife, you are now a Neuvillette. How odd.
It takes you a few seconds to collect yourself and answer him. "It is nice to be here."
The answer is quite modest, just as is expected from someone like you.
"Please take her to her room. I can't assure you that I'll always be here if concerns arise, but if you have any at all, you may consult me about it. I hope you sleep soundly tonight."
And so he disappeared down the beautiful blue corridor, leaving you with only the maids who, at his command, showed you the way to your chambers.
Your bed chamber is also a beautiful blue colour. He seems to have a liking for the color blue.
The sky is already turning red, dusk is approaching and with it your first night in your new home. Tonight you can see the sunset. The maids leave you alone, and you immediately lean against the window. Even though you can't see them yet, you are already asking the stars to forgive you. That you will never take anything for granted, as long as they shine. Then everything will be all right.
.
"How do you feel? I hope the food is to your tastes." Your husband suddenly speaks. He is sitting across the large dining table, but dishes are only placed on your side.
"Everything is fine." You hesitate for a few seconds, wondering if you should bring up your concern. "...B-But, why aren't you eating anything?" you quickly grab a decorated glass and take a big sip of water to fill the awkwardness.
"Human food mostly doesn't interest me, unless it has a large percentage of water. Simple water is more suited to my tastes." His answer is simple, but it doesn't surprise you. He is the hydro dragon, after all. Although you keep forgetting that, because he looks about the same as a human.
"Ah, so... Can.... can you tell me a little about yourself?" you hope you don't sound traitorous or as if you suspect him. So far he's been nothing but polite to you. But what do you know... it's always good to be sure.
"You look like you're guilty of something. I know that look well."
Before you have time to answer, he's already talking. Thank God.
"I don't know what exactly about me you're interested in. But I assume you already know some things about me. For purely impersonal reasons, I can already tell you that in all probability we will never know each other well." These words glue your eyes to his. You don't know exactly what it is, but there is an emotion behind them that is unknown to you. One that makes your chest feel tight.
"I am my land's ludex, not just its ruler. The chief of justice, if you will. I create and oversee laws and hold trials for the accused. I do not doubt you, believe me. But it is best if we keep a distance in between us. Impartiality is the primary virtue of a judge." He explained, eyes closed.
You don't know exactly why, but his words make your heart ache. You don't even know him, and he hasn't cruelly rejected you, but as a little girl you always read fairy tales about love, where a boy and a girl love each other for all eternity. No, since when are you so selfish?! Be happy that he doesn't beat you.
A sad reality many noblewomen in arranged marriages face.
"Ah, I see."
The rest of breakfast was spent in a kind of suffocating silence. You didn't know where to look. Perhaps this accident is suited to you, because nothing comes from nothing.
.
"It's raining today." The maid gently reminds you as she puts a necklace around your neck. You've never been particularly happy about rainy days, especially because of mother. She always made you wear brightly coloured dresses and would get yell at you late into the evening if you came inside with mud on the bottom of your dress.
And she didn't like it if you got wet, either. To you, rain is an inconvenience that occurs every now and then. Since you came here, you rarely get to see your husband. But his beautiful long hair reminds you of the white silk covers on your bed, and his blue eyes remind you of the diamond in your ring. That much hasn't changed.
You have a tradition of walking through the town every day and greeting people. Your parents made you stop doing this when you were a little girl, because "it is outrageous for the duchy to talk to the townspeople and peasants."
But now that you are Lady Neuvillette, that is no longer the case. You haven't had a chance to ask Neuvillette if you have permission to do so, but so far he hasn't said anything, so you think he doesn't mind.
You are very glad that he is a good man.
You have also made friends with the deer-like creatures, or rather the Melusines. You met one while on a walk and she seemed delighted to see you. After a while, the Melusines showed you their artwork and their cuisine. You thought it was strange, but you were happy to see your new friend's culture nonetheless.
Sometimes they tell you that they notice you immediately when you go out for a walk.
And today is no different. Even if it's a rainy day, the walk has become important for you, for the Melusines and for the people of his estate. The children who sometimes bring you freshly picked flowers make your heart swell.
The maids hand you an aquamarine umbrella, decorated with lace, in your hands at the entrance. It will do nicely.
You wave to the local children on your walk, say hello to the Melusines you meet on the way, and decide to visit a small waterfall in the area before returning. It's not the sunniest of days, but it's still a day to experience. And long ago, you promised the stars that you would look forward to every day.
But you notice something interesting by the waterfall. The closer and closer you get, the clearer this thing becomes. It's not a thing, it's your husband!
He's standing in the rain without an umbrella with a peaceful expression on his face. It is as if he is relieved of all pain. You are tempted to go to him and at the same time you want to leave him alone. You stand in the rain for a few seconds, but finally hear your heart calling you to him.
He notices you and greets you calmly. You stand next to him and watch the water bounce down the little river that flows under the waterfall.
"I'm sorry I don't come to see you as much as I would like. As my wife, you are my responsibility." As soon as he says it, you start defending him. You know how busy leading a fief can leave you. You've already got used to your new life, so there's really no need for him to worry.
"The Melusines tell me a lot about you."
"Really?!" You knew that the Melusines liked Neuvillette, but you didn't know that they also shared things about you to him.
"Really. Thank you for being so kind to them. Melusines are... important to me." His smile made you a little jealous. It's nothing, he knows Melusines better than you anyways. And the agreement still stands.
"You really like the rain, don't you?" you commented, looking at his peaceful face once again.
"Yes, really. The rain is beautiful." His eyes meet yours, and behind them there is undoubtedly a gleam of joy. And it stirs something new in you. You are not a deer. At least not here.
You don't know why, but suddenly you're holding his hand instead of your aquamarine umbrella and you're getting soaked by the rain.
He looks at you with surprise on his face, as if he never expected this to happen.
"Does it bother you?" you ask him, worried he doesn't like it.
"Not really. Feel free to hold my hand whenever you wish. You are my wife."
A comfortable silence fills the air, with only the sounds of the waterfall and the rain to accompany your thoughts.
What's a young lady to do with her heart if fate decides that she should fall in love with her distant husband?

Day 1- jewel
(Art by birdyraider)
“Nervous?” Kenobi asked, quietly entering the room that Satine was getting ready in.
“You may enter,” she teased while putting her earrings in.
Kenobi blushed and rubbed his neck in embarrassment, “Sorry duchess, I should not have presumed that I was welcome. I should have knocked.”
Satine adjusted the crown on her head, making sure that it was lined up correctly. She stood up, walked towards the door and gently touched his shoulder “You are always welcome here my dear.”Smiling, she exited the room through a small corridor.
Quickly, Kenobi exited the room a different way, running smack dab into his master. “Master Qui-Gon! Sir!”
“Where have you been? Actually, never mind that. Come.”
Master Qui-Gon found them both a seat just as the Dutchess entered. As she walked to the throne, Qui-Gon observed his Padawan. He knew that look, that smile. He had felt that way before himself. “She’s a rare jewel, isn’t she?” He smiled at his Padawan

Riyo’s similarities to Padme are valid, which means their endings could be similar, too. You know who else survived multiple assassination attempts because she was a minority voice and unearthed hidden information to the Senate? The Dutchess of Mandalore, Satine Kryze. And things didn’t end well for her, either 😭 There’s a pattern of strong-willed women dying in the wake of the Empire (RIP MAARVA ANDOR).
Riyo said Palpatine wouldn’t attack her openly without losing support from the Senate, but that could be foreshadowing for something more clandestine and sinister. Remember how quickly and easily he manipulated the revelation of Rampart’s attack on Tipoca City for his own ends? Riyo is a loose end to Palpatine, and as far as we can tell, he ties up all his loose ends before A New Hope. It’s not just the clones without plot armor.

I haven't been an active writer, that's because I realized I was looking at this as a job rather than a hobby that brings me joy :(, therefore I took a break. Can't say I'm gonna be constant bc thus is a hobby not a job, but I love to write and i'm pretty sure I wont stop! ( I have a lot of things in my drafts) btw, this is lowkey inspired by Bridgeton, but not quite.
Description: Being a royal isn't easy, especially when every choice is made for you. But maybe having a kind guard around isn't so bad.
this is a work of fiction, an alternate universe. The Irl persons are not made to be perceived this way. 18+ content ahead, viewer discretion is advised.

lmk if I should make this into a little series :o
You huffed, picking at the herbs that laid on your pasta as a garnish, tuning out the boring kingdom talk your mother and father indulged in with the rest of the family. The pearly satin gloves on your hands grew uncomfortable as the queen brung your personal life into conversation once more.
“Y/n will get married soon, I just know it.” You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at your mothers comments. Your father, as always, just had to add salt to the wound. “There are many suitors sending letters to the palace every day, even some from overseas. I don’t understand why you never reply efficiently-” You gave a tight lipped pained smile, not wanting to cause a scene; avoiding trouble.
You didn’t want all these random men, men that only saw your family's wealth. You already had a man you yearned for, one that was different. You look up from the tablecloth, in the doorway of the dining room stood your personal guard; Minho. He wasn’t looking at you, he was on duty. If he looked anywhere but straight he’d be bound to have to skip dinner for a lecture from the head guard. But you didn’t mind that he wasn’t looking at you, it made it easier to stare and get lost in the comfort of your own imagination; daydreaming about how wonderful it would be to run away with the kind man that always made sure you weren’t lonely.
Minho wasn’t always in your life, he only came to serve the royal family a mere 2 years ago. Being assigned as your personal guard didn’t sound exciting at first, just another shackle put around your ankles to prevent you from living the best you could under these circumstances. But as you grew accustomed to his presence, memorizing the scars on Minho’s neck and hands, finding safety in the pure brown of his round eyes, and the soft smile that he often wore on his lips; the one he’d only show you, you didn’t dread being looked over 24/7. He was more than enough for you, enough to make you feel whole in a palace that only offered emptiness.
Before Minho was a royal guard, he was a warrior. He only knew battle, but he didn’t want to fight all the time anymore, he wished for something more calm; so here he is. Yes he was rough around the edges but he got the job done, the king and queen liked him because he seemed to make their princess stop complaining. They didn’t care how he did it, as long as they didn’t have to hear your mouth and watch you themselves.
As you stared at the man who looked after you, daydreaming of an alternate universe where you could be normal… your mother; the queen, asked your sister-in-law; the dutchess, to make a toast. What for? You didn’t know, but what you did know was envy. You could practically turn the color green as you watched your brother's fond eyes stare up at the woman he loved. He got to marry the woman he loved so purely, why didn’t you get to do the same? He got to pick, choose… yet you have no say.
You cleared your throat after sipping from the dark glass of wine. “Excuse me. Mother, father, may I be excused? The meal doesn’t seem to be sitting right with my stomach.” Your words were respectful but your face held an expression only Minho could read clearly, therefore he shifted on his heels, ready to accompany you.
“You’ve barely touched your food, my grace.” Your sister-in-law meant well, you know she did. But the fact that she can have the life she wishes for while you’re sitting idle with no authority over yourself makes you frown almost every time you see her smile happily. “Yes, well, I seem to have caught a bug. May I be excused, please… your highness?” You offered a tight lipped smile at your mothers unhappy face. The poised woman sipped from her white wine as she shooed you off with a flick of the wrist, but you couldn’t leave the dining room without her having the last words.
“Y/n dear, I want you to know… no matter how much you try to fight it, this is your life. You will eat when I tell you, wear what I want you to, and marry who I wish you to. Is that understood, darling?” Your eyelids fluttered as you fought back tears of frustration, no matter how hard you tried to be perfect, she saw right through you. “You’re dismissed.”
The maids opened the grand doors, offering you pity glances as you clacked off; struggling to keep your composure as Minho followed closely behind.
He didn’t say anything as you sped walk into the garden, breathing heavily as tears finally flowed down your cheeks. You looked down at your glove clad hands as you stopped in the center of the garden, sniffling as you rushed to rip them off. Throwing them to the rocky pavement as you dug your heel into the glimmering fabric.
“Your grace,” you sighed softly at the sound of his voice, the voice that calmed you whenever this would happen. Minho didn’t seem to know the effect he had on you, or maybe he did and decided to ignore it. Either way his presence always worked.
“It’s cold out, and you have nothing to cover yourself with, shall we go inside?” He asked softly, staring at your back as you looked at the now dirty satin gloves on the cobblestone. You shook your head in disagreement, turning around to be met with Minho’s gentle eyes underneath the moonlight.
“The breeze feels nice, I wish to stay out here for longer. You can go back if you’d like.” Your voice was weak as you sat on a bench, overlooking a small man made lake your brother made for you as an 11th birthday gift. You watched as the koi fish swam carelessly, free. You couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony.
You know Minho didn’t leave, he wouldn’t leave even if you paid him to. “Why is this my life Minho?” He stayed silent. You looked up at him, his expression neutral, used to having heard this talk from you multiple times.
“Why can’t I marry the one I love? Be happy with him, feel the kind of love my brother and the dutchess have. It’s right at my fingertips, but it’s being ripped away.” Minho raised a brow, this was new. Your rants were always about freedom, not about love.
“… are you in love, my grace?” Minho was surprised. He’s with you every hour of the day, he surely would’ve noticed if you’ve developed a crush on someone.
You parted your lips, realizing what you’ve just said. The wine has seemingly gotten to you.
You stand up, “I want to go to my room.” You whispered, walking passed the now curious man. Minho swiftly picked up your gloves and handed them to a maid as he followed you inside.
You dismissed the help as they offered to undress you. “Please just… go to your chambers, I want to be alone.” They all left, except for him. You closed your room doors behind you, sighing. “Would you like me to leave too, your grace?” You rolled your eyes, turning around to face him.
You were tired, tired of pretending, tired of hiding. “Have you ever been in love, Minho?” Your guard frowned, then soon moved in a hurry to help as he saw you trying to take off your jewelry. You sucked in a breath of air as you saw his reflection in the mirror, focused on helping you with your pearls. You fought the urge of closing your eyes as his fingers grazed your skin.
“I have.” He answered shortly, “but she didn’t love me back, I got over it quickly, it was years ago. Honestly, I’ve forgotten until you just brought it up.” He understood you needed a distraction, so he gave it to you, as he always did. Didn’t matter if you asked for a war story and a made up one, whatever you asked of him he’d try to do.
You blinked, staring as he set your pearls down on your vanity, moving to work on your earrings. “What did it feel like?” Your voice came out in a whisper, causing Minho to look in the mirror to see you looking back at him. His heart skipped a beat, seeing the expression of longing on your face was almost too painful for him to see. A sweet girl like you shouldn’t be unhappy, yet here you are, unable to flap your wings like you should be.
“I wish I could tell you the beauty of it, my grace; but all I can tell you is the pain.” Minho said calmly, offering a polite smile to your reflection as he placed one earring down, moving to the next.
“It feels like a breath of fresh air after you’ve been suffocating for years. Like you’ve been lured in by a siren to live in the depths of the sea but finally you’ve been saved, being able To see the sun again.” Minho’s hands paused at your words, looking at you through the mirror once more. A pang in his chest follows as you look at him the way you did during dinner, only this time he notices.
“Your grace…” he whisperers. “It feels of the warm sun in the early summer, when you’re in a meadow surrounded by freshly bloomed daisies and dandelions. You know, when the breeze is just right? It feels… good.” Your small smile soon turns grim, watching as Minho sets the last piece of jewelry down. “It also hurts; like you said.” Minho stood silent, his heart pounding as you turned to face him; peering up into his sparkling eyes. “It hurts when I see that I can’t have you anyway that I want.” Minho’s breath hitched at your confession. “What do you mean… your grace… have me? I don’t seem to follow.”
You smiled painfully, reaching a manicured hand up to hold his cheek; stroking lightly. “I want you the way my brother wants the Dutchess, maybe even more. I don’t care if it’s forbidden… I want you. I want you to hold me, and do what they do in the dramas that my mother makes me turn off whenever they come on.” Your whispers travel across his now heated face.
“You… you’ve had too much to drink.” You scoffed at his stammering, surprising Minho. “No, I know what I said and I mean it. I’m a grown woman Minho, treat me as such.” You frowned, tired of being treated so fragilely.
Minho took your hand off his face, gazing down at you. “… treat you like a woman…” He looked into your eyes as he trailed off, your eyes drifted down to his chest. You nodded, looking back up to see him with parted lips and a frown. “Are you… are you in love with me?” You scoffed, feeling defensive at the possibility of rejection.
“You can’t question feelings, Minho, it’s something we can’t entirely understand. If you don’t feel the same that’s fine, but don’t try to-”
“thank you… for loving me.” He whispered. You frowned, “what do you mean?” He chuckled softly, “Thank you, for having feelings for me.” You watched as he bowed, pressing a chase kiss to the back of your hand. You flinched at the warmth of his lips.
“Minho…” he stood up, his hands caressing your cheeks as he moved closer. “This is forbidden, what we’re about to do, you know well that it is. But yet i’d still risk it, your grace. You find me worth the risk, you confessing to me is more than enough reason.” You tilted your head in confusion, “W-what are we about to do, Minho?”  He smiles. “I’m going to make love to you, if that’s ok. I feel as if you deserve it.” He whispers.
Your cheeks flush, for the first time your eyes want to look anywhere but him. You’ve never done anything intimate with another before. “I don’t want you to feel like you’re obligated to… to touch me.” You whispered, looking down at his lips instead of his eyes that were trying to find yours.
Your lips part as you feel a soft kiss pressed to your forehead, sighing as he then places one at the corner of your mouth. “I’ve been trying to be… respectful, your grace. But must you know, I've been wanting to feel your skin on mine for a while.” You tensed up at his confession. “H-huh?” Your voice was weak, a rush of arousal, heat making its way into your abdomen.
Minho’s thumb traced the outline of your cupid's bow. “Do you know how hard it’s been… hearing you touch yourself late at night, and all I can do is stand outside your door and listen?” Your face grew hot, “Listen to you whisper my name, you probably didn’t even mean too. Did you, your grace?” His voice was soft but that didn’t mean you were any less nervous. “U-uh, I thought I… I’m sorry, I didn’t realize.” Minho chuckled softly at your pity excuse of an alibi.
“You can’t help it, I know. I’m the only one who takes care of you, it’s natural for you to call out to me in times like that. I find it adorable actually, that you need me. Your fingers sliding into your cunt, wishing that it was any part of me doing it instead. Are my assumptions correct, hm?” Minho tilted his head, his fingers grabbing ahold of your chin, making you look at him. It was as if your heart was in your ears by how loud it was currently beating.
“But even though I wasn’t able to help you, you always managed to cum. I know exactly what you sound like when you get there, I memorized it; you sound so fucking sweet, if I could record it I would, your grace.” You took in a deep breath, “Min-”, “What do you imagine that makes you cum every time? Do you imagine that your precious fingers are mine? What about… hm,” you watched in disbelief as he pondered other possibilities. “Ah, my tongue tasting you. Catching every last bit of you, not wasting a drop. Is it that, your grace?”
You were speechless, your mind blank as all you could feel were his words gliding right through you and straight to your know throbbing core. Imagining the scenarios described to you, like you could feel it.
“Oh, what about this. Do you like thinking about how well I can fuck you? How Just me slipping into you can make all the frustration go away? How I can make your mind blank, your head fuzzy and your legs shake as I fuck you just the way you tell me too. Is that what gets you off, my grace?” You couldn’t help the soft whine that escaped your lips. Minho coos with a knowing grin, his hand traveling from your chin to grip your entire jaw, gently pulling you closer so the tip of your noses are grazing.
“So sweet, pretty, precious, aren’t you?” Your mind grew fuzzy. “Let me serve you, It’s my job; and I love to do my job.”

A Kenobi Part 2
Tumblr media
It had been a little over two years since Grogu had left with Luke. Two years since Din and the others found out your true identity. Y/n Kenobi. The daughter of a famous Jedi and a Mandolorian dutchess. You never knew your mother, just the stories your father told you growing up before he’d turn away with a defeated look.
You remember one time, you had to have been about six or seven, you riffled through a box under your father’s bed. You discovered many things a few spare parts, a necklace, and a holopad. Your curiosity grew and you opened it. An image of a woman appeared. She was beautiful. She had short hair that resembled calm ocean waves. She looked regal in a gorgeous gown. She smiled and it met her eyes. You realized you had some of her features–could she be–your mother–
“Little Star, I’ve told you not to go through my things,” said your father.
He reached the side of the bed you sat by and froze. He gazed sadly at the hologram. Your father approached you lightly hitting the button to turn it off. You placed it back where you found it. Your father wrapped his arms around you lifting you up in the air and plopping you on his bed. Kneeling in front of you he made direct eye contact.
“Daddy, who was that?”
“That was an old transmission from your mother.”
“Oh,” your little voice said, “She’s pretty.”
Your father chuckled softly,
“Yes, she was.”
“Daddy, did the empire take Mommy away?”
“No, a bad man took her away.”
That was all you knew of her. He didn’t even tell you her name. You found out who she was a few months prior to meeting Din. Satine Kyrze Dutchess of Mandalore. She ruled with peace and pacifism. And she was murdered by a sith named Darth Maul.
You sighed pushing the thoughts of the mother you never knew to the back of your mind. Then you felt it. Felt the brush of the force. Something had been calling to you for a couple of weeks now. In that time Din had been gone for a solid week. He’d taken a few odd jobs to get some credits. He’d been more sentimental lately when he left you. You knew he worried about when he was gone. Since Grogu left he’d been more protective. Of course, he had to be, he promised to marry you.
Currently, you were on Tatooine. The planet where you’d grown up. Where you and Luke Skywalker had met. You of course knew of him growing up. Your father worried about him constantly. Something you didn’t understand until you were older.
Peli and her team of droids had been working on getting a new ship for Din. She’d somehow gotten her hands on a Nabooian N-1 Starfighter. You knew it was a fast ship, but you knew Din would have issues with it nonetheless, especially since it was a one-seater. You were going to have to stay behind more often. Or maybe you’d follow the force.
All of a sudden you heard blaster shots. Peli must have been taking care of a pest again. You went out to investigate.
“Come out come out wherever you are,” Peli said.
She was investigating behind a box. She looked out at the droids noticing your presence. When suddenly she was dragged down to the ground.
“Oh, it’s got me! It’s chewing!” yelled Peli.
You moved forward blaster in hand. But before you could shoot at it a blast hit directly. Your head whipped in the direction the blast had come from. Shiny armor met your vision. Din. You dropped your blaster and bolted over to Din. His arms opened wide for you. You ran straight into them. He lifted you off the ground. Leaning his forehead against yours for a kedblade kiss.
“What an entrance,” said Peli, “ BD you good? Oh, good. Oh, boy.”
“You alright Peli?” you asked. Breaking apart from you Mandalorian.
“Fine, fine,” she said, “Look everyone it's Mando!”
All the droids began leaving, knowing how Din felt about droids. A small giggle escaped you.
“So, besides Y/n what do I owe the pleasure? I almost thought you were going to leave Y/n here.”
“I got your message,” he said.
“Message, what message?” asked Peli.
“You said you found me a replacement for the Razor Crest.”
Peli looked confused for a moment before answering,
“Yeah, that’s right. That’s what I said. That’s what I do. I’ve been working my butt off. Did you bring the cash?”
“It’s right here.” He placed them in Peli’s outstretched hand.
After giving some orders to the droids Peli began leading the way to the ship. Din interlocked your hands squeezing tightly. She led you to shed where she’d been keeping the ship.
“Ready to have your mind blown?”
She pulled off the tarp. Revealing the not finished Nabooian Starfighter.
“Where’s the Razor Crest?”
“I never said I had a Razor Crest. I said I had a replacement for the Razor Crest.”
“We don’t have time for this,” Din said reaching for your hand again turning out to leave.
“Hang on a second,” said Peli
“Din, just hear her out,” you whispered.
“Do you have any idea what this is?” Peli asked.
She continued to explain that N-1 Starfighter was made personally for the royal guard of Naboo by the Queen. After saying she’d give Din his money back she began to persuade, one of the things Peli did best. You felt that brush again.
“At least let me put it together before you make up your mind.”
That’s how you and Din ended up working on the ship together. It took awhile but she was finally done. Din took it for a test drive. Peli looked over at you.
“I guess the only thing I didn’t think about was you when picking out a ship for him.”
“It’s alright. I think I’ll have to go away for a little bit.”
“Why’s that?”
“Something in the force is calling to me.”
“The force?”
“Yeah.”
“He won’t take that well.”
You sighed she was right. Din loved you more than anything and hated leaving you. You were all he had left. You went to pack up some of your things. You heard Peli talking to someone. You ignored it probably some customer. You heard the starfighter land. A sigh escaped you, it was now or never. You emerged from your room just as Peli said,
“Oh, by the way, an old friend of yours dropped by, said she was looking for you.”
“A friend of mine?”
“ We don’t have very many friends,” you said. Your bag was slung over your shoulder.
“Don’t worry. I told you I didn’t know where you were. Then I locked her out and engaged the hangar secruity system.”
“She tell you her name?” asked Din.
“Fennec Shand.”
Peli shrieked out of alarm. Scolding one of her droids she walked out of the hangar. You looked at Fennec who leaped down.
“By any chance are you two looking for work?” she asked.
“Could be,” said Din
“The pay is good.”
“What’s the bounty. We need muscle and a Jedi would be handy.”
“Boba Fett.”
“He would appreciate it.”
Din looked at the credits then you and tossed them back to Fennec.
“Tell him it’s on the house.”
“But first we have to pay a visit to a little friend,” said Din.
Din looked at you weaving your hands together. You pulled him away from prying ears. This wasn’t going to be easy. Once out of anyone’s earshot Din wrapped his arms around you bringing you in for another kedblade kiss.
“Din I have to tell you something.”
“Mesh’la it can wait when we leave.” “That’s the thing, I can’t come with you.”
“What? Cyar’ka if it’s because of Luke––”
“No, there’s something I have to take care of.”
“What Cyare?
“Something is calling out to me through the force.”
“Cyare I don’t want to lose you, you’re all I have left.”
“I’ll be alright.”
“Where will you go?”
“Something or someone on Chandrila.”
“Cyar’ka I’m coming with you. “No, you help Fett. I have to do this alone. Besides,” you sigh, “I’ll take my saber with me.”
Din looked aorund and reached his hands up to remove his helmet. Brown eyes met your eyes. Worry swirled in them. He didn’t like the idea of splitting up. He couldn’t protect you that way. He pulled something out of his utility belt. A commlink.
“You call me if anything, and I mean anything goes wrong.”
You wrapped your hand around the commlink threading your other hand in his hair,
“Okay.”
He leaned his forehead against yours. Slowly he leaned forward capturing your lips with his. It was a soft, but needy kiss. You broke the kiss first looking at Din’s closed eyes.
“I love you Din.”
“And I, you Mesh’la.”
“Say hit to Grogu for me.”
“I will.”
“Goodbye Din. I’ll come back to you I feel it in the force.”
“Ret’urcye mhi ner kar’ta” (Goodbye my heart)
You pulled yourself away and walked out of Peli’s shop. You didn’t turn back, you couldn’t. You’d run right back to him if you did. You found yourself on public transport. Your saber was hidden well in your bag. You looked out the window. A part of you knew where to start. Ossus. You were going to find Luke.
