I was wondering if you were still updating Don't Wait for Me on A03? I've had your fic on the mind for the past week and I've been analyzing every line to find connections :0 (I hope this doesn't come across as demanding!! that's not my intention at all D: )

You’re not being demanding at all!!! 💜💜 Tumblr’s had my ask box here in purgatory for a little while, and this was the first thing I saw when getting to look at it again!! I couldn’t think of a better message to get greeted with! ☺️

It’s been a while since I updated, which is totally on me!! I’ve had big plot points written out, and I knew how I wanted things to go, but the actual process of implementing it into S2’s main story is where I keep getting stuck! 😅 That’s made it pretty hard to put more than a few sentences down, and the doc has been staring at me for months now!

But even if I’m having trouble getting past writer’s block, I’m absolutely ecstatic that it’s something you’ve been enjoying?? I never thought of my writing as the kind that people would continue to think about after reading it, and knowing that my goofy little story has a place in your head (like it does in mine) is such an honor!! 🥹 I don’t know how or when I’ll be able to get out another update, and I’m so sorry for how long it’s been- I haven’t forgotten DWFM by any means, and getting to finish it is something I still want to do!! 💜 (Leaving Ellegaard stuck in both an afterlife and the lulls of an unfinished story doesn’t sit right with me one bit!! 😂)

BACOLOD, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL -- A 12th Grader student and alumnus of the Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) received acceptance letters from 30 out of 40 universities in the United States of America (U.S.A.) and the United Kingdom, including merit scholarships worth U$D1,934,400 (roughly PHP110M). Julian G. Martir from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental have reportedly been accepted via electronic mailing (E-Mail) online to study abroad.

Per reports from the Digital News Exchange (DNX) when Martir saw a group of ambitious international students on his recommended videos on YouTube, he is planning to apply for scholarships to attend elite schools in a different countries to start it off. He is first submitting an essay online about his self personal life.

Various national media outlets including The Philippine Star and News5 (under PhilStar Daily Inc. and TV5 Network Inc.) are both first reported that 10 universities abroad were rejected, while 30 of them have been approved to apply. According to Martir, his difficulty was hard to understand the application process but he stopped 1 year of school after graduating from High School to prepare his college applications with the help of YouTube videos and admission experts with whom he chatted via WhatsApp, who was a parent company of Meta Platforms Inc.

The following universities that have Martin in a randomized alphabetical state and country order are The University of Arizona, Woodbury University, Regis University, The University of Colorado Boulder, University of Connecticut, Ball State University, DePaul University, Simmons University, University of Massachusetts Boston, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Michigan Technological University, Webster University, The University of New Hampshire, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Alfred University, Clarkson University, Fordham University, Hofstra University, Stony Brook University, Kent State University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Xavier University, Drexel University, Duquesne University, Johnson and Wales University, Clemson University, The University of Texas at Arlington, The George Washington University, Marquette University, Richmond University (all from the United States of America) and The American International University in London, UK.

Social Media netizens on Facebook and Twitter have allegedly sparked controversies of fake news that was supposed to be a national attention, but almost failed to defend the bashers due to severe hate speech of cyberbullying, extremism, death threats, defamation, trolls, toxicity and more, with a massive violation of Cyber Libel under the Republic Act #10175: Section 4.c4 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and House Bill #129: Section 4 or The Online and Social Media Membership Accountability Act of 2022, as signed by a murderous mastermind and formerly suspended Negros Oriental congressman named Arnulfo "Arnie" Alipit Teves Jr.

In an exclusive radio interview of DWFM-FM 92.3mhz's Radyo5: True FM, he is currently planning to study in major of Mathematics & Computer Science in the United States of America and the United Kingdom per some universities. Not only that, he is a highest honor student of NOHS and it is really legal to study abroad.

Martir's parents are retirees and underpaid with their individual professions of tricycle driver and vendor. Because of the low source of income as underpaid due to poverty, they have decided to stop working and passing along with his student of Bacoleño.

According to the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Student Visa and International Passport must be legally required as a foreigner student and automatically becomes a permanent resident in whichever state or country from Bacolod to U.S.A. or United Kingdom. If approved from the officials, he is now cleared to leave the country and officially study abroad. But... there is a catch. Flights and land transportations, tuition fees & personal expenses are too expensive to travel alone. The Philippine government and institutions will soon cover all the travel and the aforementioned funds to be paid by taxpayers, authorities and officials.

Martir's gratitude was fulfilled because he was accepted by the international universities that he was applying online. His dream is to become a Mathematician and Quantum Scientist.

As he embarks on this exciting new chapter for Martir, his high school and college life continues to motivate others to pursue their dreams, regardless of past or future personal experiences of a foreign student of Negrosanon.

Q: how old was you when you started to play some instruments? A: my voice, which is the instrument i find most advanced of all, i began practicing by myself daily at a young age. piano around age 8. i’m self taught at all my instruments.

Q: favourite song from Be Here Soon? ‘call my name’ is my addiction. ILYSM. A: impossible to answer. the album is too fresh. dwfm, changes, walking on air, call my name has meant a lot to me through the process. so proud of the album out of larger perspective too.

Q: when did you film the ten episodes of Be Here Soon, precisely? A: january 2022. i was then 5 months pregnant but hid it best as we could in E01-03.

Q: any advice for who wants to live of art? A: yes never expect to be able to. just play. never let money be your driving force. don’t try to fit in. fuck the no-sayers.

Q: how has the transition to motherhood been? A: i never planned for becoming a parent. i didn’t have a great childhood, and i don’t have that mother relation. surprisingly it’s so natural, so beautiful and i think i may just be kicking ass at the mom thing. although the beginning was very traumatic for us both so it’s taken long to recover.

Q: was EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN ever meant to be a full audiovisual album like BLUE or Be Here Soon? A: to me it is. i made a one hour music film with the album.

Q: favourite places in Sweden to gain inspiration? A: without a doubt Hästholmen and Östgötaslätten vid Vättern.

Q: if you could change anything in any past work, would you? A: not at all. i’m very proud of it all. including my earliest work. part of my process that got me here.

Q: did you know that your work is very complimentary to psychedelic experiences? A: i can see that.

Q: ever had creative blocks? how long did it take and how did you overcome them? A: i’ve had periods where i didn’t feel like sharing anything of myself. but i’m good at work discipline. working hard on schedule and make sure to always finish whatever i made even if it’s not always good at least it is something. so basically. make it, finish it, and judge it later.

Q: how do you deal with people who make harsh comments about your solo or recent works? A: i picture this and then i go make some more music that i like.

Q: seeing you in Seattle. so excited! what can we expect? A: love Seattle. expect the songs i love to play live from 10-22, a full band set up and me with my hair in my mouth crying happy tears.

Q: will you come to Kyiv when the war ends? A: absolutely as soon as possible. both to play a show and to see my dear friend Alexey Romanowsky.

Q: how did you build confidence to start presenting yourself to the world as an artist? A: by practicing until i was really confident in my singing.

Q: will you consider Brazil again on the new tour? A: i am looking at dates in Brazil for 2023 yes and i HOPE we can make it work financially and practically. i always WANT to come.

Q: i’m struggling with wanting to become a parent and finding hope for the planet. did you? A: some days. but then i figured this world needs new, better people who can steer the ship in a better direction and i think i can contribute to one.

Q: are there any vids or projects you’ve gotten to near 100% completion and then shelved? A: well yes mouth of a river - my first solo project made between bounty and kin. mastered and filmed but i just got out of sync moving into kin and then my sharing-window shut. we made BLUE as a kind of sequel to it.

Q: what are your plans these days? are you able to relax before prep for tour? A: trying to have every minute possible with Bauer but also run TWIMC label so work never fully stops. we’re in the midst of pre producing the coming tour. rest/presence feels very important though x

Q: what’s your favourite dinosaur? A: i don’t know must be vinylsaurus.

Q: excited to welcome you to Scotland! have you been before? A: i have been a few times and i wrote a song about one of them.

Q: what is the most beautiful image in your phone? A: 👶❤️

Q: why no concerts in Stockholm? A: Stockholm and Oslo: working on it.

Q: favourite sound currently? A: Nosaj Thing - Blue Hour (feat. Julianna Barwick)

Q: you seem to be very strict to your work. how do you find moments to relax/not overthink about it? A: yes indeed. i spend a lot of time outdoors. also i eat cake.

Q: will you come to Denmark again to play? it was amazing at Vega in Copenhagen. A: would love to be back.

Q: any advice for fostering compassion towards yourself? (especially as a creative) A: unfortunately i’m according to reliable sources way too hard on myself so this is probably what i struggle with most. therapy has done a lot for me though.

Q: Be Here Soon feels like a farewell. are you planning to leave music for a while? A: don’t think i’m ready to leave just yet.

Q: you should visit Newfoundland, Canada! so many of the scenes in your visuals remind me of NL. A: i would love to. one of my favourite movies is set there, the shipping news.

Q: will you ever sell more watercolour paintings or props from the music videos? A: if there’s a want.

Q: is there a specific place you would really love to visit while on tour where you haven’t performed yet? A: yes lots of places.

Q: what do you like most about San Francisco? can’t wait to see you there in 2023! A: it’s nature, people and the wharf.

Q: what do you sing to your baby? A: home made improvised hits and lullabies.

Q: given the start of iam and how private you’d been, what pushed you to share more of your life and work? A: 1. the internet wasn’t what it is now in 2010. there was no instagram whereas now it’s a natural part of artists outputs. 2. iamamiwhoami was never meant to become a permanent thing. it was meant to be an experimental side project. 3. i stopped caring about what others think.

Q: will we ever get to watch the shelved mouth of a river footage? A: you already got some of it #tungorna

Q: are we someday getting vinyl pressings of This Is Jonna Lee and 10 Pieces, 10 Bruises? A: the recordings i made under my own name are the only recordings i don’t own my own masters to. am working to get them back actually. will keep you updated.

Q: are you shy? social phobia? how you deal? A: i’m diagnosed with social fobia + OCD. interaction with new people demands a lot. again, getting help is the way to go. self help for fobias is hard, you need someone to push you to face the scary stuff.

Q: i just wanted to tell you that your music helped save my life. it’s what helps me escape… A: wow thank you for sharing.

Q: are you planning any more UK dates? (wanted to check before i book for London) A: not as of now.

Q: have you thought about writing about your journey/experience as an artist or what inspired you? A: writing about it in book form? no not yet.

Q: do you have any plans concerning new music? A: right now i’m just breathing but music is always in the air.

Q: how do you balance privacy and publicity? A: i try to do what feels good long term and share what is important to me. i think i’m quite good at being private and i don’t expect people to want to know every little thing about me either.

Q: what are your hobbies outside music? your paintings suggested a love for art and nature. A: all living things non human especially underwater.

Q: does making each album/visual ever become routine, or do new challenges arise? A: it never becomes routine. “too much” ambition.

Happy Anniversary to Me

On April 10th, 2018 I published the first entry in Precure Daily. It was very simple, just a few short paragraphs about the plot, characters, themes, music, etc. Stuff I’ve tried to stick to with varying success as the project went on. It started on Facebook, and it started out of a desire to rewatch the entire Precure series. But after watching it, I wanted to talk about it. So I wrote down my thoughts, and posted it in a group, and got some responses. I kept it up, but as a bit of a digital hoarder/archivist/whatever you want to call it, I really wanted a way to keep track of my posts better. So I created this blog. The rest is history.... but keep reading anyway.

As FWPC went on, I started writing more and taking more screenshots. It definitely went overboard on several occasions. I didn’t, and still don’t, do a whole lot of editing. I spit out my thoughts onto the page and hit post. I do try to keep them structured, but the nature of this project means I don’t have a lot of time for reflection and review of my own content, if I also want to maintain a social life. As you all have seen, that can be harder than it sounds. I’ve gotten sidetracked a lot by reality. After blitzing through FWPC and writing an essay every day I was exhausted. I wanted to do a series overview, and I did start writing it, and it is still sitting in my drafts folder, incomplete. It may never be completed. A short break became a longer break while I distracted myself making the banner:

Of course depending on your page layout the banner may not be fully visible and that is incredibly frustrating to me. I am open to suggestions for improving that. But anyway the banner was made, and then finally I decided, screw it, I’ll do the overview when I have time, and dug into Max Heart. As much as I love the world of FWPC, Max Heart is a bit of a slog, and some personal turmoil didn’t help with this. It took me about six and a half months to get through all of Max Heart, and I’m still sorry for that. We’re 4 and a half months into reviewing Splash Star and I just got into the teens, so not exactly doing better, but I’ll try. I initially predicted that, with daily reviews, it would take about 2 and a half years from the start of the project to fully catch up with the weekly broadcasts. It’s going to take about 8 if I keep at my current pace, which is not ideal, but every time I try to speed up I just lose steam again. I don’t know if this project will ever be finished, but I promise to keep going for as long as I can. I want to thank each and every one of the 261 followers I have gained in this first year, but I want to highlight a few who stand out from the crowd: @yugimon135 You followed me here from Facebook and I can always count on you for a good quip.

@sailor-rurouni You’ve been one of my biggest supporters, and best confidants.

A LOOK BACK: Radyo5's First 10 years on the air

November 8, 2010 at 4am, Nation Broadcasting Corp's DWFM 92.3 shifts its format to news/talk as the first radio station to utilize the format in its stereo FM existence in the Philippines from its introduction back in the 50's. NBC, previously owned by the Yabut family back in the 60's began in Zamboanga City and eventually expanded nationwide through AM & FM via satellite. When the Villar family and PLDT consortium took over NBC's operations in the late 90's, NBC resurfaced its radio network, and even launched its TV broadcast with a partnership under MTV Southeast Asia. Soon after, the NBC AM Network (Angel Radyo) was acquired by the consortium of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and gave birth to Sonshine Radio. The FM network eventually divided since some stations were entered into a blocktime with WAV Global.

NBC, under the TV5 Network/Mediaquest Group, took over its operations before the launch of Radyo5 92.3 News FM on November 8, 2010, with Martin Andanar's Andar ng Mga Balita as its first program, and began 24/7 broadcasts. Radyo5 became the permanent home of Raffy Tulfo's long-running public service program Wanted sa Radyo, Cristy Fer Minute of veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin, debuts of Paolo Bediones, Cheri Mercado, Lourd De Veyra, Danton Remoto, Hans Mortel, Benjie Felipe, Aida Sy, Bayani Agbayani, and Amelyn Veloso, and eventual comebacks of Tyang Amy Perez, Laila Chikadora, Erwin Tulfo, Ben Tulfo, Joey Falcon, Arnell Ignacio, Shalala, Neil Ocampo (+), Dr. Edinell Calvario, Joe d’ Mango (his last radio career before his migration to Australia), among others, on radio. 3 years later, Radyo5 moved its studios to TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong. And months later, it reduced broadcast hours due to budget cuts in the network. The said radio station became worse for the following months of 2020, including COVID19 Pandemic and its operating loss, that led to some shows to produce LIVE from the anchors home.

By October of 2020, Radyo5 underwent major makeovers as it welcomes two of the best radio personalities today: veteran broadcaster and commentator Ted Failon, and award-winnig radio DJ Czarina Guevarra a.k.a. Cha-Cha (both from ABS-CBN). The two anchors their 4-hour news/commentary, public affairs, talk and music show every morning during weekdays. But the new chapter for NBC Radyo5 network will be bigger, better, stronger than ever.

Philippine journalist Maria Ressa was freed on bail on Thursday following an arrest that sparked international censure and allegations she is being targeted over her news site's criticism of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Ressa, 55, spent a night in detention after authorities arrested the veteran reporter at her Manila office Wednesday in a sharp upping of government pressure on her and her website Rappler.

The site and Ressa have been hit with tax evasion charges and now a libel case after clashing repeatedly with Duterte over his deadly crackdown on narcotics that has killed thousands.

"The message that the government is sending is very clear ... be silent or you're next," an emotional Ressa told reporters outside a Manila court.

She stumped up a bond of 100,000-pesos ($1,900), the sixth time since December that she has paid bail on a government case.

Ressa was named a Time Magazine "Person of the Year" in 2018 for her journalism. ─ AFP "I am appealing to you not to be silent, even if — and especially if — you're next," added Ressa, who was named a Time Magazine "Person of the Year" in 2018 for her journalism.

International condemnation from dignitaries, press freedom and human rights groups has poured in since plainclothes agents appeared at Rappler to serve an arrest warrant.

"The arrest of Maria Ressa is an outrage," said Committee to Protect Journalists Board Chair Kathleen Carroll. "She should be freed immediately and the Philippines government needs to cease its multi-pronged attack on Rappler."

Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, tweeted in support: "The arrest of journalist @mariaressa by the Philippine government is outrageous and must be condemned by all democratic nations."

Duterte attacks on media

The libel case against Ressa and former Rappler reporter Reynaldo Santos, Jr. stems from a 2012 report written about a businessman's alleged ties to a then-judge on the nation's top court.

While investigators initially dismissed the businessman's 2017 complaint about the article, the case was subsequently forwarded to prosecutors for their consideration.

The legal foundation of the case is a controversial law aiming to crack down on online offences ranging from harassment to child pornography.

Ressa's team has argued the legislation did not take effect until months after the story was published and is not retroactive, however the government has countered that it is fair game because the story was updated in 2014.

"In essence in the contemplation of the law it is a new article because of the modification, republication," Markk Perete, spokesman for Department of Justice prosecutors, told AFP. "That is deemed as a new article."

Rappler concedes the story was updated, but notes it was to fix a typo and no substantive changes were made.

Ressa's lawyer JJ Disini said he will formally ask the court within the week to dismiss the case as the publication and the modification were made more than a year ago.

He argues the maximum period set by law for a legal action to be brought has already lapsed.

"That's disincentive for people to speak out," Disini told reporters. "I think there would be grounds to raise these issues in the Supreme Court."

The businessman who accused Rappler, Wilfredo Keng, on Thursday welcomed the charges as he said the website "destroyed my reputation and endangered my life".

Duterte spokesman Salvador Panelo rejected allegations the arrest had political motivations.

"Maria Ressa's claim that this is an assault on freedom of expression or freedom of the press has no basis," Panelo told Manila's DWFM radio in an interview, adding it was not the president or his allies who brought the libel case.

Duterte has lashed out at other critical media outfits, including the Philippine Daily Inquirer newspaper and broadcaster ABS-CBN.

He had threatened to go after their owners over alleged unpaid taxes or block the network's franchise renewal application.

Some of the drug crackdown's highest-profile detractors have wound up behind bars, including Senator Leila de Lima, who was jailed on drug charges she insists were fabricated to silence her.

Ressa insists the site is not anti-Duterte, saying it is just doing its job to hold the government to account.
