I’ve been waiting for ages for a figure with elbow wings so I could digibash it into Dinobot’s Cybertronian mode from the IDW comics, but it took all of my self control not to give him the iconic raptor stripes. I suppose it would look a bit odd on a futuristic space jet, but still... *sigh*

If you are wondering why Uprising Jawbreaker looks like tfp Ratchet, you are absolutely right! He is a Ratchet repaint.

And Dynobot is a Springer repaint, for some reason.

For background, Beast Wars: Uprising is a continuity that focuses on a dystopian Cybertron after the war. Autobots and Decepticons constructed the Maximals and Predacons and oppressed them into providing labor and entertainment.

Dynobot was kinda the Megatron equivalent of this universe, being the first to speak out against the system. Jawbreaker was a member of a Maximal resistance force inspired by Dynobot's speech. He seems to idolize Dynobot a lot and really enjoys pasting up Dynobot posters:

Hmmm, reminded of Grimlock/Optimus and how often they have a tense relationship. Optimus should get to enjoy being the one held down by a bigger bot and stuffed full while he squirms unable to get away. Grimlock just pressing him flat and growling to behave before grinding up and firm until he moans. Best way to settle those nasty leadership quarrels is letting the lead Dynobot fuck the Prime.

A tangent from the tags of my previous Pharma post (and I just thought about this so bear w/ me if it's hastily reasoned) is that the Autobots being generally sanctimonious is actually sort of a reason why I find a lot of IDW Optimus interpretations to miss the mark, specifically the accusations of calling him stuff like self-righteous, caring more about principles than people, etc. And I know that sounds really ironic, but out of every Autobot (and almost every character period), Optimus is one of the few people who has a very forgiving/humanistic perspective on life or at least has a political approach of "if we don't stop fucking fighting we're going to be at war forever and eventually just kill ourselves."

He very explicitly wanted a diplomatic end to the war and not a military victory/conquest. He extended multiple offers to Megatron personally to work together and end the war (Autocracy trilogy, which was pre/early war, and Chaos Theory, which was late/end war, so from this we can assume Optimus' stance was consistent the whole time). When ppl hated him so bad they rioted he removed himself from the planet rather than argue or fight to justify why his actions were the best he could do. Sandstorm starts murdering Decepticons and Optimus solves the murders and then throws Sandstorm in prison bc sparing one of his Autobots the consequences of his actions is less important to Optimus than keeping the peace and making sure anyone who threatens to ignite wartime hostilities is punished for it. There are multiple characters throughout the series that other people give up on as too far gone or too cowardly/evil/damaged to be worth helping where Optimus alone is the person who says "I think they can get better/they did bad things but they're still people" such as the Dynobots, Blurr, Prowl (despite how OP's patience with him hung by a thread by the end of it), Shockwave, and, yknow, fucking Megatron of all people.

And on top of that Optimus' internal thoughts most of the time revolve around feelings of guilt, responsibility, anger, hopelessness/barely hanging on to his ideals, and so on. Bro regularly has thoughts about how the entire Autobot-Decepticon war was his fault and is depressed to the point the thought of dying/martyring himself makes him feel relieved. So like. Idk guys I don't think those are the personality traits/actions of a self-righteous person who thinks he's correct about everything and everyone who opposes him or fails his moral standards is just evil or whatever.

dinobot brainrot post cause im so excited about this fic like DESPERATE to ramble about it its so nuts

some of these are general hcs for dinobot and bw cybertron cause i really love digging into the implied flaws of post great-war cybertron. also i like to mix in little tidbits of various continuities i know about into everything so some elements like functionism from mtmte and extra stuff from beast wars comics throughout the years may show up. ill keep them as vague as i can so no one feels lost but i cant totally promise itll be coherent..

-dinobot has a pre-beastwars name! hes deadbolt :) yes i know hes supposed to be 'dynobot' before bw but thats lame. totally different names are cooler plus it gets to be like a dramatic moment when you mention their pre bw cybertron name because you KNOW shits getting serious. -anyway pre-beastwars he wanted to settle down be a historian/archivist, but because of predacon distrust, a resurgence in functionist ideas, and a repression of actual history, he never got to see it through and in normal canon he just joins megatrons group of predacons. -HOWEVER in the au im working on he instead decides to further science (mostly for plot reasons maybe ill flesh it out more as i write.) and fuses his spark with rampage/protoform x's on colony omicron. the experiment is overseen by the imperial peace marshal of the colony, depth charge. -all seems to go well at first, but deadbolt is frequently dehumanized by the maximal scientists eventually decides to escape, causing a massacre similar to what rampage does before bw starts

-flash forward 4 years/stellar cycles, several more violent escapes including one on starbase rugby (mentioned in the show) he ends up facing trial by the tripredacus council, who decide the best course of action to deal with deadbolt is to turn him back into a protoform, put on the axalon disposed of on a different, uninhabited planet. this totally will not go wrong and WILL NOT cause problems for the maximals on the axalon later. definitely not.

anyway thats all i can share right now :3 fic coming sometime before im dead (I HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK FOR MY AO3 ACCOUNT TO BE CREATED UGUUH) im working on finalizing the first like.. chapter idk fanfiction terms ive never uploaded anything ive written onto a site lol

Finally got my Shrapnel. I have achieved complete bugs! XD

I have also completed the Core Class Dinos. That's Skar/Scarr on the far left, Dinobot Dynobot tactical medic that showed up all of once in IDW1. They're cute, but four of them don't have elbows and little in the way of knees. Swoop and Snarl are the lucky ones with better posability.

And finally...

Also added an Iron Factory Command Trine. Lookit them! 🥺 They're smaller than the Hasbro Core Class! So tiny. 💜

I seriously need more shelf space. Oof. 😅

Hey Bumblebee I have a question for ya! If you could visit any place on earth and lead a team of auto bots, where will you go and who will you take as your team members?

Bumblebee- I don't really want to lead anyone... I'd more like the war to be over. As for traveling... The twins were sent on a mission recently, to mexico! I want to go to that forest where the monarch butterflies go to in the summer. Or was it winter? Either way, I'd love to see a huge swarm of monarch butterflies in their natural habitat. I know Raf and Andy have family there. I uh... don't know what cities though.

Oh! I want to go to the city where the meteor hit that killed all the dinosaurs. It's so cool that they know exactly where it landed. I think the Dynobots would enjoy that.

China sounds like a cool place, though I don't know where in china I'd go. Japan too, Miko's family is from... I think Hokkaido? That'd be a cool place to visit.

If i had to make a team... I'd take Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, we're the closest in age and we work well together. Maybe Arcee, Springer and First Aid when they're older. Though, I hope the war ends before they reach my age.

It'd be nice to travel around earth without the impending threat of the Decepticons.
