When I talk about my paranormal abilities, people usually think I'm joking. I don't like to insist or put on a show, so I often let it go. However, with the people I care about most it's different: hiding something so important would be unfair.

I met Simon online, and in a couple of years he became an irreplaceable friend for me, despite the distance. Simon lives in Phoenix, Arizona, while I am from Trento, Italy. We chat every day and know almost everything about eaDo you believe me now?

"I can transform into him," I told him, but Simon didn't believe me. I decided to cut it short and sent him a video in which I changed my appearance several times, transforming into the professor and then returning to myself. Still, he doesn't believe me. Now I can only buy a ticket to Phoenix and transform in front of him, but maybe first I could take on the professor's appearance and deceive him a little, just to get back at him for his lack of trust.

Israeli forces continue to gradually work their way through the Rafah district, where they are discovering and destroying Hamas infrastructure. IDF units are operating simultaneously both above ground and in the tunnels underneath. Maintaining coordination in such an operation is difficult because of communications difficulties (the deep tunnels prevent the use of wireless communications with units above ground).

According to the latest reports, approximately 1,000 Hamas personnel have been killed in the Rafah area since the beginning of the Israeli offensive there, about half that figure since the last update. Though there is quite a bit of fighting, the Hamas units are not so much defending territory as conducting “hit and run” actions. They are hunted by some IDF units while other units focus on destroying Hamas infrastructure.

The IDF has also continued to conduct raids into northern Gaza and Khan Yunis whenever concentrations of returning Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists are discovered, as well as into the Nusayrat area between Gaza City and Khan Yunis.

Over the past two weeks, the IDF conducted raids mostly into northern Gaza, while this past week it increased its efforts to cause the remaining population in that area to evacuate south. In response to the IDF’s original calls to evacuate in October-November 2023, about 80% of the population of northern Gaza evacuated the area. More have left since then, and videos on Palestinian social media show the movement of more people on the routes shown in IDF leaflets.

The Israeli raids are aimed at concentrations of Hamas and other militant personnel who are attempting to reassert control and rebuild capabilities in northern Gaza and Khan Yunis. Each raid ends within a few days to a couple of weeks, after the Hamas personnel have been killed or captured or have fled the area. Reports indicate that since the last update, a couple of hundred terrorists have been killed in these raids.

Te escribo por aquí porque se siente más real cuando alguien más lee las cartas que te escribo. Pensé en mandar tu carta a una dirección al azar, pero o llega con un chismoso que abre cartas que no le pertenecen, o muere guardada en un sobre cerrado porque a la gente le falta curiosidad.

Hoy fue un día ajetreado, tanto que de repente se me olvidaba la fecha, pero nada más había un respiro entre actividades y me caía el 21. Dejaste una gran huella, ¿sabías? Está familia que formaste y de la que fuiste parte, te extraña mucho. Todos tienen por lo menos una memoria de cómo salvaste una vida (aunque preferiría que no la compartieran cuando estoy en el trabajo para así no tener que disimular mis lágrimas a medio pasillo. No tienes idea lo que es tener que dejar de pensar a tu mamá para enseñar que "tener" se conjuga de manera irregular....).

Desde tu último cumpleaños, las cosas han cambiado. Mis alumnos me salieron mejor este año, y cada vez batallo menos porque disfruten la clase. ¿¡Quién creería que darles estrellitas a un montón de catorceañeros sería la clave para que les gustara la clase?! (supongo que todas las maestras de kinder). También me pinté el pelo morado. Me encanta, ¡al fin lo logré! Es difícil porque cuando me pongo más de un color en la ropa, de repente me vuelo unicornio 🦄 o paleta de caramelo 🍭. Aún así me fascina y me siento hecha. Al fin nos dieron el coche, ya nos hacía falta. Es genial que sea híbrido, aunque cada vez que se prende el motor, siento que se hice algo mal porque vibra mucho el coche y hace mucho ruido... ¿Qué más? Ah, sí, me voy a casar.

Aunque eso ya lo sabías. (Lector, que anda de chismoso, no se preocupe que a mi madre fue a la primera que le avisé).

De vez en cuando veo mi anillo y me da emocioncita máxima repentina, así como de que no me la creo. Y luego le digo a mi novio "¡Nos vamos a casar!" Y me dice algo así como "ajammm" y se me pasa. A él no le da nerviecito repentino, ya está muy centrado en la idea de que va a ser señor y es muy maduro en cuanto a ello. Claro, él sabe desde mucho antes que nos vamos a casar, y a mí fue prácticamente a ¡la última que le contó!

No sabes cuánto quisiera que te conociera y que lo conocieras. A veces puedo imaginarme cómo se habrían llevado, como al principio lo hubieras "a ver chamaco"-eado muchas veces y cómo le hubieras quitado el "no, o sea" a "¿No?, entonces, ¿qué?"s. Pero, a veces, mi mente no da para tanto y en vez, me queda un vacío lleno de hubieras que se desmoronan en el viento.

También me gustaría imaginar cómo me habrías abrazado cuando te dijera que me dio anillo, y cómo me habrías ayudado a navegar las partes difíciles de planear una boda. Pero, eso ni con máximo esfuerzo llega a mi imaginación, porque me duele tan sólo pensar que no estás aquí para nada de eso.

Pero aún así, te puedes ir a dormir en paz hoy, porque la felicidad de casarme con el amor de mi vida (uuuu qué cursi) es enormemente englobadora.

Favorite one off character?

My go-to joke answer is the cougar kid who shows up in like 3 panels that Legoshi thinks would look good in glasses, but that's honestly kinda true. He's less than a one-off character but I like thinking about him, I'd say I've turned him into basically an OC except I don't even do anything with him he just seems like a dude, y'know?

Otherwise the only one that really comes to mind is Airdo/Eado, but i'm not sure he counts as a one-off after getting the Beast Complex chapter, and the Beast Complex chapter also makes me like him less. He's the rare combination of hot and shallow but also like, self-aware about it that I actually find really attractive. His chapter's got that real clumsy messaging that's fun to examine and re-interpret, and then Beast Complex made him just another simp for herbivores in an unhealthy relationship.
