Well in tlosh Raven says that she wants to become a storyteller which was kinda weird to me because raven never really showed any interest in that, besides rewriting her own destiny which is really just a fancy way of saying living.

And I thought that Shannon just decided that would be good symbolism/end the ravens character arc. Until I thought more about it. Like storytelling isn’t just ink and parchment.

So I think during her final years at eah her and melody create a musical duo with Melody (PLZ THEIR VOICES WOULD BLEND SO WELL TOGETHER) which eventually turned into a band that was kinda just recording different songs that (mostly) raven wrote and it was different ppl on each track

Some of the ppl I could see would be Cupid on lyre, Jillian on harp, Ashlynn flute, raven guitar / piano, Maddie and Lizzie on random wonderlandian instruments and melody on literary everything.

I don’t think all of those instruments would be in every song (those r just the characters who I think canonically know play those instruments) but yeah

And raven would be writing n recording songs all throughout eah and I think that she would become pretty famous

I think that her and dexter would stay together and eventually marry

I think that they wouldn’t try for kids but if raven got pregnant they would keep it.

I could see them adopting tho

Hello everyone, I'm making this huge post because I'm hyperfixated on what's going down in the Ever After High fandom right now, and I need to type all my thoughts out. So, get your tinfoil hats ready folks, because it's speculation and theorizing time.

DISCLAIMER: this is all just speculation and/or incoherent rambling. I'm putting it under the cut because... it's a little long lol (if you see any grammatical and/or spelling errors ...no you don't)

Earlier today, January 5th (or January 4th, depending on your timezone) Mattel released a "new" song for Ever After High, "Can't Get Me Down" (you'll see why I put new in quotation marks in a bit). Reaction to the song itself was... mixed, with some really liking it, some not liking it, and some being more neutral. The reason why this sent the fandom into a frenzy is because, obviously, this is our first real content from the actual source since the series ended in 2018.

Tin foil hat time, I don't think this song is "new" at all. I'm speculating that this song was in the Mattel's equivalent of The Vault for a long time, which could explain a lot about why it sounds janky and almost ai. Also, I saw some people saying it reminded them of Taylor Swift, and we know, canonically, Taylor Swift exists the EAH universe as Tailor Quick, and Raven is a fan of her. Adding on the fact that Raven is used as the cover for this song, I suspect she would've sung this either in a webisode, or more likely a special, but it got cut for whatever reason.

Here we get to my biggest point: why now? Why would Mattel, with no promotion beforehand, just drop this out of the blue? I saw someone suggest it was a mistake, and I saw someone else suggest that this was leaked by some employee, but I don't think either of those are the case- if they were, it likely would've been taken down already.

I shared this theory through an ask, but I'll reiterate it here: My theory is Mattel is using this as a tactic see how people would respond to the idea of EAH making a comeback.

I think EAH making a comeback now kind of makes sense- look at what happened during it's downfall; iirc doll sales were low, but also, Disney had created Descendants. This is a bit more into conspiracy theory territory, but from what I've heard discussed, many think Disney's creation of Descendants was the nail in the coffin for EAH. It's also common knowledge that Disney is extremely territorial about fairytales, and especially when it comes to princesses, so them making Descendants to assure EAH's decline... checks out. With Disney not doing well now, Mattel could be trying to take advantage of that. But that's just my theory, I could be totally wrong and Mattel could be doing this for some other completely random reason.

TL;DR: this situation is very *exaggerated and vague hand waving in air* as you can tell by this post, so while we can continue speculating and/or doing our own digging, I think it'd be best to keep an eye out to see if Mattel releases any more songs, or even any announcements/statements.

         As expected of the number one talent scout in the agency, she rose to the occasion with her usual pint-sized, crabby magnificence. The overly insistent woman who had been stalking him since she abruptly recognized him at the mall nearby was repelled and sent packing with brisk efficiency, and then Hiyori sailed into the men’s toilet scowling like the badass that she was. Unfortunately, Shinji had no time to admire her appearance – she was dressed very sharply in a tailored two-piece skirt suit and blazer, so she probably had been in a formal negotiation earlier today – before she was whacking him fiercely on the arm and scolding him for giving her all this trouble. Shinji should feel guilty for bothering her, but he was not.

              “ Ow, ow, ow! Will ya stop that already! ” In the end, he grabbed her phone and held it out of her reach, but that did not stop her from using her hands next. She knew better than to go for his face, at the very least - he was due for a commercial shoot tomorrow, after all. “ Ya think I wanna be hounded by women like that? She was s’posed ‘ta go away after I gave her an autograph and took a selfie with her! ”

         But of course that had not happened, and now Hiyori was getting on his case again on the issue of his manager or lack thereof.

              “ Yeah, yeah – I’ll interview that bunch’a names ya forwarded me…eventually. ” He didn’t sound very sincere or enthusiastic about it, though. If anything, he placed both hands on her shoulders, whirled her around sharply, and frog marched her out of the toilet before she could start on him all over anew. Truth be told, he could have asked his PA to come to his rescue this time, but then he would have been left without an excuse to see her before his work took him away for the next couple of weeks. Which clearly would not do.

              “ Let’s talk ‘bout that later. C’mon – I’ll buy ya dinner as thanks. Whaddya think of Korean? I’m cravin’ budaejjigae all of a sudden. ”
