Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center
Columbia University had an early electronic music studio, with composers such as Milton Babbitt, Otto Luening, and Vladimir Ussachevsky making pieces of fascinating electronic music. This album was released in 1964 and I would love to know how people reacted to this when it was initially released.

Spectrogram (1959), Hugh le Caine
The Spectrogram, shown here as it was in 1966, was used to control the output of the Sine bank, or the Multi-track (Special Purpose) Tape Recorder. The chart paper moved past a series of light sensitive switches and was illuminated by the light above the instrument. When the light was blocked by a darkened area of the paper, the sound generator would be turned on.

The Electric Lucifer - Bruce Haack
Bruce Haack's "The Electric Lucifer" is this loveably quirky electronic album from 1970. It's got some songs with interesting lyricism and some songs have a vocoder which makes the singing voice sound like a robot. There is some really interesting synth sounds in this record, and it kind of lands in the sort of weirder end of the late 1960s early 1970s electronic albums. It to an extent reminds me some of like, related to like the United States of America mixed with Black Mass by Lucifer (a pseudonym of Mort Garson). Definitely recommend this album for people interested in early electronic music.
