EarthRoamer Overland Adventure

Nathan and I traveled to just North of Denver Colorado to visit our friends at EarthRoamer where we were given exclusive access to their entire assembly process AND we got to take TWO EarthRoamers and a Raptor to MacGregor Ranch in Estes Colorado for some light overlanding.

We also got to met many of the EarthRoamer team members and you'll hear firsthand from them of their pride in building these vehicles. Each team member brings a deep hands on history to the table and get to hear where they started and how they became part of the EarthRoamer family.

So, if you've ever drooled over the thought of owning one of these magnificent beast (Nathan's words) or you're just curious how great a Luxury Overland Vehicle they are, grab a snack and your favorite beverage, get comfortable and enjoy the tour.

Vehículo de expedición EarthRoamer LTi

Cuando Bill Swails no pudo encontrar las piezas que necesitaba para convertir su Dodge Ram en el vehículo de expedición definitivo, comenzó a construir el suyo.

En 2003, Earthroamer construyó su primer vehículo de producción, y más de 250 unidades más tarde, se están moviendo hacia una nueva era con el LTi.

El LTi es el primer modelo de Earthroamer en usar un cuerpo de autocaravana monocasco de fibra de carbono, en este caso construido en una Ford F550 Crew Cab. El cuerpo usa una carcasa de fibra de carbono interna y externa unida a un núcleo de espuma estructural, lo que aumenta la resistencia y reduce drásticamente el peso en más de 453 Kg, lo que significa una mayor carga útil y economía, especialmente importante cuando estás en el campo y no hay exactamente un gasolinera cerca.

El LTi también cuenta con un sistema eléctrico mejorado con paneles solares de 300 vatios y una batería de iones de litio de 11kWh, junto con servicios como un sistema HVAC, baño, cocina y suficientes opciones para personalizar al gusto.

2nd June 2022 Day 21 .

Tired and exhausted after a rather scary day trying to exit the Swell we parked our camper just north of 70 to watch another majestic sunset over land that time forgot. Thank you Utah . Returned home via Albuquerque and Abilene staying in hotels. It’s too hot in Texas sometimes.

Note to self :- No point dreaming of owning an EarthRoamer, it can’t take you on the skinny roads we want to play on. The rim of the Wedge ( Little Grand Canyon was very narrow in places. )

But we did get a full on Factory Tour from start to finish to see how these incredible Luxury Overland Vehicle are built, tested, and backed. Along the way we met many of the EarthRoamer team and you'll hear firsthand from them of their pride in building these vehicles. You'll see the craftsmanship each team member brings to the table and get to hear where they started and how they became part of the EarthRoamer family.
