What if-

So we know that Megatron and Dorothy are friends right? And by the looks of it, he is regarded as family.

My headcanons for the Malto Family and Megatron is that they know how to speak Tagalog.

Alex knows it since he is Filipino. The kids kinda has a hard time with it since they are still learning, Dot probably knows how to speak it because she probably learned for her husband

Megatron on the other hand ,oh he uses it on a basis to Dorothy to talk slag about some people.

Megatron probably knows a ton if cuss words too, and he doesn't really speaks Tagalog, he only does it when he is heavily pissed or talking shit.

Plus points if bots can't understand what he is saying until they download the language module for Tagalog.

Like imagine-

Megatron: *minding his own business*

Megatron: *hears something breaks*

Megatron: puta, OPTIMUS YUNG MGA ANAK MO!! (Bitch, Optimus, your kids!!)

Optimus: *in a different room* huh???

Quintessons & Design Motifs

Some thoughts/observations related to the Quintessons after watching the latest episodes!

In S1E24 The Last Hope Mandroid describes the Sharkticons as "...a unique race of creatures I encountered in deep space. I liberated their planet from its invasive oppressors."

Note Mandroid's pink circles, his spikes, and his cloven feet and see how those features compare to the Quintessons'.

So with this, the aforementioned "invasive oppressors" he spoke of were the Quintessons!

The streaky designs that appear on the Quintessons' metal and ship are reminiscent (though, not the same) of the streaky designs that appear throughout Terratronus's interior — and this similarity helps show their relatedness.

The Dwellers are also Quintesson in origin, being described as a "deep space predator" in S1E21 What Dwells Within (which likens to Mandroid's account of encountering Sharkticons in "deep space") and later in S2E09 Witwicky Terratronus recounts "...I fooled the Quintessons into thinking our maker escaped with it. They followed, leaving behind scouts and beasts..." with the Dwellers shown.

The Dweller has metal plating on its exterior and many cables shown running beneath and between, and that aspect of its design is reminiscent of the Quintesson Judge's.

In S2E09 Witwicky Terratronus recounts that she cloaked the Emberstone so the Quintessons could not detect the artifact's power signature. In S3E04 No Solider Left Behind Prowl explains he tracked down Earth from a "recent surge of Prime energy" — Twitch suggests it could've been from the Emberstone or maybe chaos energy.

Given this shot in S1E25 The Last Hope, it seems the former is likely to be the case.

So that "recent surge of Prime energy" not only alerted Prowl, but also the Quintessons (including Izzy, who showed up S2E04 The Butterfly Effect).

Interestingly, the contaminated energon monsters seen in S1E15 Bear Necessities and S2E05 Togetherness share some traits of the Hate Plague: contagious and violent. There's also a visual similarity in their first person POV shots.

And here are just some observations of the contaminated energon monsters:

Beneath one of the GHOST crates put in the forest is infected grub, and Mama Bear gets infected after eating it.

The pink dots on the grub and Mama Bear bear some resemblance to the Quintessons' pink dots.

A mushroom is infected with the spilled contaminated energon and grows as it devours animals. It infects other mushrooms with contaminated energon.

Thrash mentions "energon bear" on his bowling ball evidence board in S3E06 The Truth is Out There, continuing its relevance as Jawbreaker had mentioned it in S2E05 Togetherness.

So, perhaps the hate plague (which seems to have Quintesson origins based on Izzy producing the hat with the biggest viral load) and GHOST's contaminated energon are related in some way.

Before becoming a "mad" scientist, I like to think Dr. Meridian found the newcomers to Earth exquisitely forged, and astounding. The War on Earth between these beings vastly changed his mind, though.

People and Transformers

Thinking about Mandroid's final form has got me thinking:

I don't think energon poisoning turned him into this, I think he was being turned into something.

In fact, given the celphalopod like features of Mandroid's final form within the mech he's in, I'm convinced he was being transformed (for lack of a better word) into a Quintesson. His stretchy limbs, the hands with fangs on the palm and his weird appearance while wearing a mech suit seems to hint that, given how in earlier media, Quintessons have been portrayed as wearing mech or being biomechanical in nature, while also sporting attributes similar to squids and octopi. Yeah, I think he was slowly becoming one, but somewhere along the way he betrayed them, if they were the ones who were oppressing the Sharkticons.

However, one of the more interesting things is that none of the Transformers present where like "is that a friggin' Quintesson?!" Although that could be summed up as most of them were taken out by Croft's device, I still think it holds out because you'd think Shockwave would notice which brings me to the thought that in this continuity, no one is aware of the Quintesson's existence, no one knows of Quintus Prime's interactions with them. This has brought me to believe that if the Quintessons are the villains of season 2, they are going to act like they are friends of Quintus and the Transformers, only to double cross them. At this point, given the importance of Quintus Prime to the plot, I won't be surprised if we learn that Cybertron was conquered by the Quintessons during the period between the destruction of the space bridge and the time that Earthspark begins.

Alex and Dr Meridian, much younger, and probably when they were still studying at University. I like to think they were very close, like brothers. A shame the show didn’t allude more to their friendship, cause clearly they had one once. I kept imagining what they would look like, rather carefree and genuinely happy 🥲
