But he never cared. For those in the public of the Cause, it was hopeless. For they did not see what happened in the shadows. Why the Autobots hadn't taken care of the scragglers that remained in Kaon. For what Megatron left was being reshaped and sharpened into something deadlier. He was smart, calculated, but he was a brute for he tried no second chances until violence ensued. In his shadow, he left a femme self-assured and enraged. The betrayal dug deep into her spark and she made sure that her rage was used logically, as one of her closest allies reminded her. He may not have been apart of the Cause now, but they kept in contact.

Echomirror had returned to the city with an altered frame. Without her imposing wings, it would be hard to tell her apart from the other remaining Decepticons. But what did make her stand out were the brightly glowing etchings on her backstrut where the modifications had been. She kept the coloring of Optimus Prime, but her frame was sharper. Deadlier. Her digits ended in points that could have been mistaken as mnemosurgeon needles. Those purple optics set upon Kolkular before entering it. It was routine now where she was going.

Straight to where that blasted seeker was. Her pedes were heavy against the solid ground and Cons knew to keep out of her way. Her aura was dark. Disturbing. Relaxed. And that was what made her different from Megatron. She knew to keep her calm where he did not. She entered the seeker quarters and her optics locked onto the one she was looking for.

Her trusted advisor. Her S-I-C. When Starscream left to rule Cybertron, it left a bad node in her processor. He was always reaching for higher places. Like her rightful spot on the throne. He hadn't bothered her since his defection and she wouldn't have it any other way with that traitor. His trinemate, however, was another story.

Skywarp was her's to command. To control. Just like her army. They will end the Autobots, even if it meant killing the person she believed loved her since she was a sparkling. Her carrier betrayed her. For that, she will always hold onto until her own death.

So I am busy to properly color this so have this. I tried to make this as clean as I can since my sketches are VERY messy, but I Hope you like it @salty-an-disco (seriously, that idol design grabbed my brain like tweezers)

However...that was only ONE idea I had. I had TWO.

A friend of mine told me Connie's hair ties gave the silhouette of demon horns and I drew this. Connie acting like a "villainess" to get the local magical girl's attention. But she's just a sussy lil dork who wants to hang out, and dragged her "partner" into this. But I am definitely not drawing this bc I suck at comics. The one top, maybe another day.

some more magical girls au stuff

and also some lore stuff:

– ‘The Echo’ is an immortal entity originated from the first ever echo to be created in that construct that trapped two gods. And now, eons later, this echo is obsessed with keeping a balance between the reincarnating pieces of these gods, and is always seeking out Quiet’s pieces reincarnations so that they always have the power to slay the pieces of the Princess that keep coming back. In this AU, this manifested as him basically making the voices magical girls

– the Echo is attached to a mirror; its shards used to make several hand mirrors he can be on at once and is how he communicates with the voices. Has mild shapeshifting abilities as an inky shadow that usually takes the form of a crow

– the Princesses create dimension bubbles around them ala Madoka Magica that change their surroundings to match their respective themes; they can only be dispersed by either killing the princess or helping them find closure in their stories (Echo conveniently doesn’t tell anyone about the latter option). They’ll always come back when they’re killed tho (often worse), and the cycle can keep going.

– Hero is in community college, studying law (it’s not his passion at all, but his family really wants him to be a lawyer and he can’t disappoint them!!), and often does gigs as a delivery boy for several businesses or other odd jobs. One of the newest magical girls alongside Contrarian – name in this AU is Hiro Capricórnio, and his transformed name is Starling; he has a stars and knight theme, and is able to summon a long, silver, feather that he uses as both a sword and a shield

– my Contra design kinda looks like a vocaloid so I decided he’s an actual superstar in his normal life who goes by the name ‘Contra Jester’ — their shows are always a fun spectacle that mixes in jokes and comedic gags in their musical performance (kinda like an inverse Bo Burnham, but with more lighthearted themes) – his AU name is Carter Thomfoolery (actual birth name) and their transformed name is Lyrical; has a music and clown theme and can summon a lyre that he uses to do all sorts of effects on the people affected

– Oppy is Carter’s agent and a senior magical girl. Doesn’t technically has any credentials to be managing a super star and was caught money laundering before, but hey! as long as he doesn’t try to meddle in their shows, Carter won’t sue them :) — was very concerned when they found out Carter was made a magical girl considering how unpredictable and uncontrollable they already are – AU name is Oscar Wilde and transformed name is Jack of Trades; has a showman/magician theme and can use the cards up his sleeves and his echoing voice to convince others to do what he wants

– Paranoid is a workaholic trying to get into medic school while juggling two part-time jobs and her responsibilities as a magical girl. Is very distrustful of the Echo in her mirror that gives her orders, but is EVEN MORE distrustful of the princesses; one of which is a recurring Nightmare she has only barely managed to defeat a few times. Tries to help/keep an eye on Lyrical and Starling, since she knows how it is to just start this off without much (helpful) guidance – AU name is Pamela Noid, and her transformed name is Little Shrike; has a plague doctor/engineer theme, the suitcase she carries can be opened to all sorts of contraptions that creates toxins and acid-filled bombs or guns, can also produce healing medicine (the pinnacle of “I’m a healer, but–”)

been a while, and that’s Skeptic’s fault (mf gave me so much trouble with his civilian design), but yeah. here’s some more designs for my Echomirror/Magical Girl AU

AU rambles under the cut

- wanted Smitten’s transformed look to be like a cross between Cupid and Robin Hood.

- Echo purposefully wanted to avoid giving Smitten’s reincarnation any magical powers as he’d knew that’d just be disaster, but unfortunately for him, no one can keep Smitty from his magical girl destiny. He just stumbled into a princess sphere and got his powers from the Princess there after helping her with her troubles, which then caused the sphere to disperse without killing anyone (gee, golly, I sure do wonder who that princess might be). He was horrified when he found out the others magical users are tasked with slaying these princesses instead of helping them, even more so when he found that the one giving out those tasks is a voice in a mirror (don’t they know disembodied voices coming from unsentient objects are often a source of evil???). So he’s something of a ‘rogue’ magical girl, as he refuses to slay the princesses and tries to stop others from doing so.

- Because of the way he got his powers, he doesn’t need Echo’s mirror or even a transformation phrase to transform, he can just do it at will.

- In his normal life, he’s a modestly successful romance author. Not a bestseller, but people who know his work are always happy to see his name in a book. Unsure about his names in this AU. Thinking of Arrowrose for his transformed name, and maybe something with ‘Eadán’ (can mean both jealousy and passion in irish) for his normal name.

- Skeptic’s reincarnation is also someone Echo tried to avoid giving powers, but he ended up coming across an echomirror anyway and Echo thought ‘OK, fine. He isn’t as bad as the smitten one, so might as well give this guy a shot–’ (he profusely regrets that decision).

- While not as adamant about his ‘no killing’ policy like Smitten, Skeptic also doesn’t have slaying the princesses as his top priority. He wants to study, so that he can better understand these reality-warping spheres and maybe keep them from happening. Often ends up teaming up with Arrowrose to do that, who’s just glad to see someone isn’t jumping the gun on killing these princesses.

- Not sure about his magical girl name, but his civilian name is Sasha Jah, something of an amateur researcher (his main interests are history, biology, and archaeology) who works in an office job just so he can afford his hobbies.
