Church Saint Etienne du mont seen from the front. One of the more interesting and outlandish examples of eclectic architecture in Paris, or France, Europe, the entire world really. One would be hard pressed to determine to which exact style this front belongs to, as we can equally spot Romanesque, Gothic, renaissance, baroque and almost announcing the rococo that would come one century after the edifice's completion. The nave of the church is Gothic, as for the rest of it, good luck identifying; the church was built over the timespan of 4 centuries, from the 13th to the 17th, integrating all the styles and eras that took place for over more than 400 years. Up to you to decide if it's an architectural hot mess or a uniquely quaint piece of eclecticism. As for us, it's one of our favorite buildings in the entire city. #architecture #art #gothicart #renaissance #gothic #renaissancearchitecture #gothicarchitecture #baroque #baroqueart #baroquearchitecture #everything #eclectic #eclecticarchitecture https://www.instagram.com/p/CF3zOodp7nm/?igshid=1kmthqsavtc10

Daily Waypoint | N 36° 31 '34.2" W 87° 21' 30.8" Customs House Museum Eclectic Victorian Architecture—The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is Tennessee's second largest general interest museum. It features fine art, history, and children's exhibits. It is located in Clarksville, Tennessee's Downtown District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 as Clarksville Federal Building. It was established in 1984 as the Clarksville Montgomery County Museum. The 1898 portion of the Museum was originally designed for use as a Federal post office and custom house to handle the large volume of foreign mail created by the city's international tobacco business. The structure was designed by the Supervising Architect of the Treasury, William Martin Aiken, in the eclectic style popular to Victorian America. Aiken incorporated many architectural styles including Stick, Queen Anne, Italianate, Romanesque, Flemish and Gothic. Its highly pitched roof with large eagles on the four corners, steep gabled windows and elaborate terra cotta ornamentation combine to give importance to a relatively small building.-This image was processed as an HDR (High Dynamic Range) composition. https://www.fmgphoto.com/Lifestyle/Architecture/i-BDB7xjR #HDR #Clarksville #Tennessee #customshousemuseum #ClarksvilleTennessee #NationalRegisterofHistoricPlaces #eclecticarchitecture #victorianarchitecture #museum #victorian #victorianbuilding #victorianstyle #discoveramerica #travelpics #travellife #travelinspiration #travelblog #travelphotography #fmgphoto #followingmygps #travelphotography #traveller #photography #travelamerica #lifestyle #LifeWellLived #travelmagazine #roadtripping #exploring #roadtrip (at Customs House Museum & Cultural Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE1dHY-MbF2/?igshid=1ped3juve9vh6

ECLECTIC FURNITURE INSPIRED BY CHINESE CURSIVE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Inspired by Caoshu, the skill of Chinese cursive brush writing, this eclectic furniture was inspired and designed as ‘Cursive Structure’. Mimicking the flowy elegant letters of Caoshu, the pieces seem like dragons soaring with the sky, and they've been named the Dragon Console Table and Dragon Chair rightfully. He transformed the strokes of Caoshu into beautiful 3D designs by making use of paper craft strategies to woodwork. By bending plywood, he produced curved bases after which capped them served by stainless panels, which function as the sitting area and tabletops correspondingly. The pieces were then stained with black and white to support the essence of Chinese calligraphy. The Dragon Console Chair is really a beautiful entanglement of deep black wood with a stainless-steel seat to close the offer. 3D and sculptural, it's the perfect mixture of design meets art. Exceedingly minimalist and crisp, I actually do question how comfortable the chair will really be if a person would slide in it. Next lined up may be the Dragon Console Table. The wooden organic form of eclectic furniture takes right here too, by having an a lot longer stainless panel functioning like a tabletop. One finish from the curvaceous wooden structure pierces with the tabletop developing a very raw aesthetic, making the finish appears like it’s been submerged within the metallic plate. While asking new customers regarding their preferences, a couple lately volunteered their apartment home was “eclectic,” or in their own individual words, “nothing complements anything they’re just pieces that we’ve accrued through the years because we loved them.” Which was fine beside me as I’ve been a strong believer that clients have every intent to furnish their houses with eclectic furniture because they think it would fit. In the end, it’s their cash and they’ll be living there lengthy after my job as “the arbiter of excellent taste” is completed. Like a designer, I’m here to assist them to make informed decisions so that as couple of mistakes as you possibly can. And, hopefully, I assistance to provide them with the greatest bang for his or her buck - an admirable goal anytime, particularly in today’s uncertain economy. eclectic furniture online eclectic furniture store near me bohemian furniture modern furniture transitional furniture eclectic furniture india eclectic goods industrial furniture Read the full article

In celebration of All Hallows' Eve, I give you one of my favorite homes in the city, 3972 2nd Avenue. Built in 1879, it is described as High Victorian Eclectic in design, complete with a witch hat tower. #Detroit #CassCorridor #MidtownDetroit #HighVictorianEclectic #VictorianArchitecture #EclecticArchitecture #archi_ologie #oldhouselove #casasecasarios #houses_ofthe_world #beautifulhouseoldandnew #TheAmericanHome #houseportrait #BrickStory #RawDetroit #PureMichigan #PureMittigan #MotorCityShooters #PureDetroit313 #DepictTheD #VisitDetroit #Michiganders #ThisPlaceMatters #ThisPlaceMattersDetroit #MichiganPlacesMatter #HappyHalloween (at Cass Corridor) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4QiFSElEnk/?igshid=1du2hap9wfw9f
