On the Texas Border, Folk Healers Bring Modern Touches to Their Ancient Practice
Known as curanderas, they carry on a tradition long revered in local Hispanic culture.
By Edgar Sandoval
Photographs by Verónica Gabriela Cárdenas
Edgar Sandoval grew up in Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley, where Verónica Gabriela Cárdenas lives and where both covered this story.
Dec. 16, 2023
On a recent day, Chriselda Hernandez heard a knock at her door in the Texas border town of Edinburg. It was a college student who said she was suffering from a string of bad luck. A drunken driver had crashed into her car. Then someone broke into the new car she was driving and stole her laptop. “I need a limpia,” she pleaded — a spiritual cleanse.
Ms. Hernandez moved to an altar in her living room that bore an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Slowly, she mixed a concoction of sage and palo santo, a wood native to South America, and lit it with a match. Then she turned back to the young woman and waved the healing smoke over her body.
“You are holding on to something,” Ms. Hernandez whispered to her. “Let it go. There is no shame.”
For generations, Hispanic communities along the Southern border have turned to curanderas, or folk healers, like Ms. Hernandez, often seen in the popular imagination as old women with candles and religious icons operating in the shadows of society out of rusty shacks.
But the ancient healing art has entered the age of Instagram. More and more younger people are taking on rituals they learned from their grandmothers and deploying them against 21st century problems. They conduct limpias on public beaches, trade recipes online for blocking “envy energies” and sell artisan candles bearing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in shops. Their clients are often college-educated, like Clarissa Ochoa, the young woman who went to Ms. Hernandez for help.
“I think it’s an honor to be a curandera; it is something very beautiful, but also very limiting,” said Ms. Hernandez, 42. “I feel like we are breaking those boundaries, that curanderas are just herbs and little old ladies. My calling is just to heal whoever I can.”
A culture of folk healing preceded the arrival of Spaniard conquistadors to Latin America and Mexico. Over time, curanderos, a term used for healers of both genders, began mixing Indigenous rituals with elements of Catholicism and influences from Asian and African folk traditions along the way.
The practice has taken hold in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, located a stone’s throw from the Mexican border, in large part out of necessity. Hidalgo County, home to McAllen and a majority Hispanic population, has one of the highest rates in the nation of people without health insurance, and many people rely on curanderas for lack of other affordable options, said Servando Z. Hinojosa, a professor of anthropology who teaches a class on Mexican-American folk medicine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Mr. Hinojosa said many Hispanic residents also tend to be mistrustful of the medical establishment. This is especially true when it comes to mental health. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that while the number of Black, Asian and white people who have sought mental health care treatments has climbed in recent years, there has been very little movement among Latinos.
“There’s an element of distrust, but there is also structural alienation,” Mr. Hinojosa said. “They are a population that will seek affordable resources, and they will go to where the products are and where the advice is to be found.”
In the past, the medical establishment has warned people not to rely on folk remedies for physical ailments, some of which can be harmful. Many Latino children have fallen ill and even died after consuming such remedies known as albayalde, azarcon and rueda, powders often used for stomach-related illnesses that have been found to contain lead.
Curanderismo has become so accepted in the Rio Grande Valley that it is not unusual to see street signs and TV ads advertising folk healing services.
Ms. Hernandez said her great-grandmothers had both been parteras, or midwives. When she was a little girl, she said, she discovered that she possessed her own set of gifts; as she grew older, she said, she began interacting with an entity she believes to be the Angel of Death, Azrael. She works at a cellphone call center and lives with a girlfriend in a modern house in the suburbs of Edinburg, a city close to the border.
“You make it your own. There is no right or wrong. You do what’s right for you,” Ms. Hernandez said.
Another modern folk healer, Danielle López, 39, a former student of Mr. Hinojosa who said she also learned she had a don, a gift, as a young girl, has embraced the moniker of millennial curandera. She has combined the old traditions she learned from the grandmother who raised her, Consuelo López, and an aunt, Esperanza Rodriguez, with new skills learned at institutions of higher education.
Her academic record includes a master of arts in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in Mexican-American literature, medical anthropology and Latin art history at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She is completing a doctorate in English with a focus on borderlands literature at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she is also a lecturer.
“For me it’s a continuity,” she said of her spiritual work. “I feel like we need it more now.”
It is not unusual for people to ask her for trabajitos, little jobs, including blessings, limpias and home remedies, when she is not buried in books. Not long ago, Ms. López got a request to bless a new business for a friend. When Ms. López cleansed the establishment with a bouquet of roses, six petals fell, prompting her to warn her friend that six people “did not have good intent.”
“They may say they are happy about her new business, but they are not.”
She also sometimes offers more science-based advice. When people tell her that they are feeling anxious or cannot sleep, she recommends that they cut their intake of sugar or caffeine. Because the advice comes from a curandera, she said, people tend to trust that she has their best interests at heart.
The concept of a curandera is so pervasive in Latino enclaves that in September the Texas Diabetes Institute, a state-of-the-art facility operated by University Health on San Antonio’s west side, a historical Mexican-American neighborhood, brought back to its lobby a sprawling wall-size painting, “La Curandera,” by the Chicano painter Jesus Treviño, who died early this year. The painting had been removed for restoration.
Still, when it comes to luck and matters of the heart, many people avoid professional help and turn to curanderas, because there is no substitute, said Sasha García, 39, a curandera who is known for her fire-red hair.
In northern Mexico, where Indigenous culture is not as widespread and the Catholic Church’s hold is stronger, Ms. García said, her ancestors often operated in the shadows to avoid the stigma associated with folk healers. By contrast, on the American side of the border, she not only feels freer to practice openly, but some Catholic priests stop by for her counsel, she said.
Ms. García welcomes clients at La Casa de la Santísima Yerberia in the city of Pharr, near McAllen, next to two imposing statues of La Santísima Muerte, skeletons each wearing red and black robes. Ms. García reminds people that while the image of La Santísima, a Latina version of the Grim Reaper, may evoke frightening emotions, death is to be revered.
“If you pray to her properly, she can heal and deliver love, freedom and wealth,” she said. “I only ask her for positive things.” (She laments that criminal elements along the border and in Mexico have appropriated the image.)
On a recent afternoon, Jocelyn Acevedo, 27, a frequent client of hers who runs a credit repair service, arrived for her monthly limpia. She had heard about Ms. García four years ago and after the first limpia, she said, she saw her business begin to boom. She was so convinced by the session that she since has regularly driven 60 miles from nearby Starr County, near the Rio Grande, for her sessions. She now has a tattoo of La Santísima.
Ms. García instructed Ms. Acevedo to rub three coconuts all over her body. Ms. García then broke them on the ground to release what she said was the negative energy her client had been carrying.
“Did it work? Of course,” Ms. Acevedo said.
Ms. García has embraced touches of modernity along with the old customs, including consultations now offered over FaceTime. Her clients have responded with their own offerings from popular culture, including a sign one brought in that now hangs on the front door: “Witch Parking Only.”
“No one listens,” Ms. García said with a smile. “The word may be becoming more modern, but we curanderas are still here. Just don’t park in my spot.”

Stacks of Wheat, Claude Monet, 1891, Art Institute of Chicago: Prints and Drawings
Of all the motifs that preoccupied Monet in his exploration of changing light effects, grain stacks are among the most iconic. He captured them at various times of the year and at different moments of the day. When these works were shown in an 1891 exhibition, they were widely praised by his peers. One critic, Octave Mirbeau, wrote that the works conveyed “the drama of the earth.” Since Monet rarely made drawings, this sheet may have been a potential illustration for Mirbeau’s article. The softness of the chalk avoids harsh contours and, in turn, better mimics the artist’s painting technique. Gift of Dorothy Braude Edinburg to the Harry B. and Bessie K. Braude Memorial Collection Size: 182 × 254 mm (primary/secondary supports) Medium: Black chalk on cream laid paper

“History’s about to get overthrown“
Tumblr media
Trailer of the show
Today I am going to talk about a recent musical, that became quite popular in only 2 years: Six the musical.
The songs are performed by “the 6 wives“ of Henry the VIII, each of them sings her biography and her point of view of her relation with their common husband. The show isn’t as long as a regular show on Broadway, because it is more like a concert than a Musical. It was written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, and premiered in Edinburg in 2017. Since then, the show went from Scotland to London, and was to premiere on Broadway 6 months ago (but thanks to Covid19, it didn’t).
Like for Hamilton, the producers and the performers are part of the new generation; they took the risk to present something new, and it worked.
As I said, it’s more of a concert than a musical. The songs are pop and catchy. The singers are like rockstars on stage. It’s a whole performance, the costumes imitate the one that iconic divas from the XXIs century wear during their concerts.
The band is only composed by women, and “the queens“ are portrayed by different kind of profile (for exemple Catherine Parr, Anne of Cleves and Catherine of Aragon are black).
There is a lot to say about this show but I am going to talk about one major event linked to this musical. On the 31 August 2019, the cast organized a flashmob in front of the Tower of London.
A large amount of people were reunited to share this moment, the performers themselves were there. The fact that people answered to the call, testifies how an audience can influence the impact of a movement.
I am talking about “movement“ because this flashmob was not that innocent. When you look at the context it’s a bunch of people singing and dancing over a song that critics the British monarchy, at the location were some of those wives have been executed (Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard). The aim of that musical, is to point the maltreatment of the women in court. It gives a “voice“ to those women, who have been lost in history. People remember them as the wives of Henry the VIII and that’s all. We have an other version of History, and we learn a bit more about them. They finally have the tribute that they deserved.
A flashmob doesn’t seem like such a tribute, but the message from that musical, is to tell that in history and in the royal family, women aren’t respected and that it is still the case today. Elizabeth II’s jewelry is in the Tower of London, bringing this crowd together in front of it, is highly  symbolic. Because it’s like if the song was addressed to the Queen and the whole monarchical system.

Go Big Or Go Home - Flies for Big Panfish!
Do you want to catch big panfish? Try fishing larger flies! Most anglers fish flies in the 8-12 size range for panfish. They use small flies for good reason as bluegills and other sunfish have small mouths. That being said, larger panfish have the uncanny ability to cram large objects into those tiny mouths. Think back to the years before you picked up a fly rod for the first time. Many of you probably had a background in spin or bait casting. How many times were you surprised by a large bluegill that ate your crank bait, spinnerbait or 7" plastic worm that was intended for largemouth bass? It was these experiences that led me to start throwing larger flies when I want to target big panfish.
How Big Is BIG?
I am always amazed at the size fly that can be crammed into the mouth of a large bluegill. While I have occasionally hooked large sunfish on bass flies larger than a size 2, I consider a size 6 or 4 hook the perfect platform to build a fly to target large panfish. A size six seems to be the sweet spot. A fly that size is large enough to attract the attention of large bluegill and the occasional bass but it small enough to catch fish in the 6-8 inch range as well.
Expect Fewer But Larger Fish.
The downside to fishing larger flies is that you will usually catch fewer fish. It is not that smaller panfish will not be interested in your offerings its just that they have a hard time getting their little mouths around them. Another downside will be missed hits. Often smaller fish will pick up a large fly, and you will detect the hit. When you go to set the hook, there is nothing there. That is because the smaller fish were only able to grab a portion of the fly and did not have the business end (the hook) in their mouths. If you're looking to keep your rod bent all day long its best to go with smaller flies.
The good news is that larger flies often attract the attention of larger fish. Often these fish will ignore standard-sized offerings then viciously attack a larger fly. Just like their cousins, the largemouth bass once they get big, their feeding habits change. A 12-inch bass may be content to chase down dragonflies all day long, but once that fish gets larger, it’s feeding habits will change. The larger fish select larger food items, expend as little energy as possible and feed less often. My experience has shown me that large bluegill and other sunfish are no different than bass in that regard.
The Diet Of A Large Bluegill
There is no doubt that large bluegills eat the same things their smaller siblings do. As they grow bigger, they add more items to their diet. These include things like large dragonfly larva (and adults), crayfish, baitfish including young of the year bluegills, larger terrestrial insects like hoppers and cicadas even tadpoles and small frogs. If they can cram it into their mouths, it is fair game. I learned this lesson myself several years ago. A few of the lakes I fish have large numbers of tree branches that extend over the water. Birds build nests in those branches, and occasionally the young birds fall or get pushed out of the nest. I observed this firsthand once, and the bird disappeared in a swirl instantly, the moment it hit the water. I suspected a bass was behind the attack and that night I tied a few baby bird imitations made out of spun deer hair. The next time I was on the water, I tried my new creation. The first fish I caught on it was a bluegill! I thought it was a fluke, but I took two more 11 inch bluegills on that fly before I hooked my first bass!
Flies for big panfish
Fishing baby bird imitations for big bluegills may not be for everyone, but fortunately, you have a lot of other options. You can turn your standard bluegill patterns into big fish flies by supersizing them. Here are a few of my favorites.
Big Nymphs
Take a fly like the iconic Bream Killer. It is typically tied in a size eight to ten. Tie them in size six or four, and they become an excellent fly for targeting large panfish. Believe me, a bluegill 8" or larger will have no problem annihilating a size six fly.
Streamers
Baitfish patterns are another favorite of mine for large panfish. As a bluegill grows in size, small fish begin to appear on the menu. Anything from the classic woolly bugger to more imitative streamers will work on large panfish. My favorite big fish fly in this category is the James Wood Bucktail. This pattern will be familiar to long-time readers of this blog but is likely unknown to many of you. The James Wood Bucktail is a creation of Harry Murray, the owner of Murrays Fly Shop in Edinburg, Virginia. It has its roots as a bonefish pattern, but Mr. Murray created this pattern to imitate a juvenile sunfish to target smallmouth bass on his local waters. It does not look like a sunfish to me, but Harry was on to something when he developed this fly as the fish love it!
Topwater Bugs
The sky is the limit here all of the standard patterns will work just go a little larger. Again simply upsize your fly to a size six or size four and your good to go! A favorite this summer has been a big, chunky ,black Fat Albert. The Fat Albert will float like a cork all day long and will support the biggest panfish nymph in your box if you want to hang a dropper off it. It has a provides a buggy silhouette with wiggly rubber legs pointing in every direction. Tied on a long shank size six hook, it is a mouthful for all but the largest panfish but they can’t resist it! I have caught enough bass on this pattern that it has earned a permanent spot in my bass box as well!
Hold On Tight!
One of the added benefits of fishing larger flies is that these flies will attract the attention of larger predators. Bass, pickerel, pike even the occasional catfish will show interest in your larger offerings! You may catch fewer panfish, but if you throw a few bass in the mix, it can make for a good day on the water.
A Word On Conservation
Remember those larger panfish are important in maintaining healthy fish populations! If your keeping fish for the pan let the big ones go and fill your string with fish under 8”!

There’s an old school “Personals” section where people can put ads out to try to find their perfect match.

Editor’s note: The Record and NorthJersey. The stories they told us range from the romantic to the rueful, from the sappy to the sinister. Because of the nature of the topic, in some cases anonymity has been granted to those who spoke with us. Here are their stories:. Sharon’s grey eyes roamed across half a dozen checkout lanes, lingering just long enough to meet the brown eyes of a man dressed all in black.
It lasted just a moment that April afternoon and then it was over. But Sharon couldn’t shake the feeling. So instead of letting it go, she went for a long shot — an against-all-odds long shot. We made eye contact as we were both in the checkout line You’re probably taken, married or something, but if you aren’t, please reply. The place where she went was Missed Connections, a free Internet page where the wishful and the hopeful post free ads trying to contact people whose paths they’ve randomly crossed.

McShane was arrested the night of the robberies when detectives saw a man fitting the robber’s description in a local bar. They called the phone number in the Craigslist ad and took him into custody when he answered the phone, according to officials. The victims believed they were going to look at a Honda Civic. He later attacked a cop while trying to escape from custody, authorities said.
McShane, an admitted drug addict, said he used heroin, Xanax and alcohol before committing the robberies. He has previous convictions for drugs, weapons and assaults dating to , the district attorney said.

Miller It was cold and dark and Rob Pasterchick was getting desperate. The late-November chill had seeped into the Privateer Drive home he shared with roomates Jean Curtin and her son John. The electricity had been shut off in September. There was no heat and no lights in the modest ranch home in the Ocean Acres section of the township. So Rob, 42, decided to place an ad on craigslist, hoping that someone with a good heart and a kerosene heater to spare would respond.

With a reprise from the cold I am taking advantage of asking some good soul to donate a kerosene heater so we can stay warm. I have used up everything I have to help them. NATIONAL ROCK GARDEN, AUSTRALIA
We’ve all seen the rock garden that our Aunt Maria is so fond of showing off to us, small stones and cobbles mixed with succulents and flowers. Such a garden takes a cue from the wondrous interactions of rocks with biology we love to find outdoors. A nature trail in Canada’s Glacier National Park is named The Rock Garden Trail just for this reason, a natural and beautiful mix of boulders with mosses dating from the ice ages. The “Our Dynamic Earth” Science Center in Edinburg took the idea of displaying the rocks of Scotland as boulders lining the entrance to the science center; since these include the geologic formations that gave birth to the science of geology, geologic visitors from everywhere on Earth have a chance to see the “rock stars” of their science. Now Australia is planning a formal rock garden to show off its national geologic treasures in a site accessible to all. I suppose we could describe this philosophy as: “If you can’t get to Ayers Rock, let’s arrange for Ayers Rock to come to you!” Or at least, a piece of the formation that it comes from taken from a non-sacred site.
The project will be on-going for years ahead. A collection of about a hundred icons of Australian geology are planned to be collected and showcased in a parkland setting accessible to all. Boulders are being transported from all corners of Australia to demonstrate “the diversity of the rocks, fossils and minerals that contribute so significantly to the nation’s landscapes, heritage and prosperity.”
Note: it is not always easy to transport boulders across country. Posts on the Rock Garden facebook page mention that in some cases, one boulder was shipped, but two arrived. The weight of one cubic meter (~a cubic yard) of rock weighs about three tons. A boulder the size of a Smart Car would weigh nearly 17 tons!
It’s so much easier when the Earth transports the boulder on its own. However, the folk at the Rock Garden are pioneering a type of geoscience display to give homage to the Earth and celebrate the geodiversity of Australia.
Aunt Maria would be proud!

WreckRoom Idol Meet the Performers (3 of 3)
Here is the final segment of WreckRoom Idol’s Meet the Performers interviews! Reblog and tag your early favs!
Tumblr media
Tape, 23
What attracts you to drag? How and why did you start doing drag?:
What attracts me to drag is the performative aspect to it, as well as the ability to create a character that connects with an audience on a deeper level than I could if I was performing as just myself. I love how I can eliminate my name and bring to life something people can relate to and see themselves in. Which is why I manifested “Tape.” Tape started off as a scholarship video I did my sophomore year of college where I wrapped my head in tape and stuck plants on the sticky side to represent the growth of natural talent. It’s on YouTube under “Growth of an Artist” if you wanna look it up. It’s baby Tape. From there I was asked to write a show based off that to be performed in Scotland at the Edinburg FRINGE Festival. So I wrote a show relating Frankenstein to pop stars and how they create egos, their monsters, that end up resulting in their deconstruction. We incorporated drag in the show. When we got back I wanted continue the drag element of Tape so I jumped into performing at The Boom. Now here we are. It’s also a way for me to feel like a pop star since I can’t sing. I mean, I COULD, but you don’t wanna hear that. Trust me.
Describe your drag persona. Who and what influences your art?: Tape is a mixture of a lot of things. Three adjective I could use to explain Tape would be; metal, grunge, chic. I’m really inspired by heavy metal and rock music. Rob Zombie and Rammstein. I also draw influence from Gaga (who doesn’t), Bjork, and Enigma. My ultimate goal when I perform is to make people think I just stepped out of a Tarantino or Rob Zombie film.
How has drag impacted your life?:
Drag has impacted my like in both positive and negative ways. One of the few things that actually makes me happy is performing. And doing drag has given me something to look forward to everyday. I get to meet all kinds of people and inspire the fans that I have and make them feel good as well. I find it so weird when I get recognized now in the “Gayborhood,” but it’s still amazing that people do. I won’t go into details on the negatives. There aren’t a lot, but I’d like to stick to thinking of the positive.
Why did you decide to compete in WreckRoom Idol?:
I’m competing in Idol to improve. I wanna learn more. I need to be pushed to explore my creativity and believe a competition will do just that. I also want to prove to people in my life that this is more than just a hobby, it’s an artwork that truly brings me happiness. I’m good at it and want to make something of it.
Can you give me a glimpse at what people can expect from you in this competition?:
You can expect a lot of performance art elements. I’m planning on incorporating little nods towards performance artists that I look up to. Mille Brown, Oliver de Sanganza, Marina Abromovic . I don’t want to give away to much though. I will say I’ve been asked about my silly string crotch a lot, and I will say that will be making a “comeback” (oh my god! I didn’t plan that pun.)
Do you have a favorite WreckRoom Idol? If so, who and why?:
I really didn’t know much about idol.  I would probably have to say Miranda Wrights. She’s basically my drag mom. I started out on my own,but she helped me learn so much more. I mean, I AM blessed with her hip pads.  I also adore Jak Kay. She was my first drag queen back in senior year of high school. I sent her a message once telling her how inspirational she was. She probably won’t remember tho.
Quick catchphrase, GO!:
“Truly, 100%, without a doubt, relevant.“
Tumblr media
Entity (Miss Tiddie if you're nasty),  24, high mileage but new tires and wiper fluid, runs okay, $32.50 OBO What attracts you to drag? How and why did you start doing drag?:
I grew up around queens, specifically those invested in the pageant circuit. My older sister was a dresser and occasional judge for many of the folks we would consider local icons today. I remember seeing signed posters from drag performers around the house when I was 8 or so and being completely enamored, but I also remember thinking it wasn't for me. It wasn't until Drag Race aired and I saw queens like TaMMie Brown and Raja that I realized the full breadth of the community. The rest is tragedy. Describe your drag persona. Who and what influences your art?:
Entity isn't so much a persona as she is a more vibrant version of my daytime self. She's like if Nina Hagen and Bill Hader fucked and dolled the byproduct up in real life neuroses, insecurities, and quirks. How has drag impacted your life?:
Drag gives a person permission to look their faults and virtues in the eye. It's hard to be intimidated by something that chooses to stick cosmetic grade pipe cleaners on its lashes; it's harder yet to ignore it. I know myself better than I ever have before, and I know my friends better too. It's funny how something predicated on fantasy can illuminate what's real. Why did you decide to compete in WreckRoom Idol?:
I'm almost out of pickling jars and the wrinkles are coming back; I heard harvesting the life force of the youth at large would do in a pinch. Also, like, the cultural importance of preserving queer spaces and a good old fashioned validation complex, but I'll save that for the tell-all memoir.
Can you give me a glimpse at what people can expect from you in this competition?: Dirty lace fronts, absurd song choices, and a can-do attitude. Also probably a cyst or two, who's to say? Do you have a favorite WreckRoom Idol? If so, who and why?:
Alotta, because she doesn't have much time left. The Make-A-Wish Foundation does really good work, I suggest everyone donate. Quick catchphrase, GO!:
Sometimes she's Entity, most times she's just entitled.
Tumblr media
Jessi Alexander, 19 years old.
What attracts you to drag? How and why did you start doing drag?:
People get to live out who they see themselves as in drag, you get to be the real you but also a completely different person. I started doing drag because I saw it as my chance to escape. I work a boring job, I was a nerd in high school but while I'm performing I feel like a famous celebrity and it's the only time I feel like that.
Describe your drag persona. Who and what influences your art?:
My persona is the bad boy who lived next door to you your whole life but your parents never let you hang out with him. Messy hair, tattoos, rock music and very sexual. Classic movies influenced my persona. Grease, pretty in pink, rock n roll high school, the breakfast club, etc. I'd see the bad boy character and want to be them. Leather jacket, ripped jeans, dead behind the eyes but can party.
How has drag impacted your life?:
It gave me something to live for. Before I'd go to work then go home, I was in a rut. I'd hang out with friends but only if my depression wasn't too bad and I could actually feel motivated enough to get out of the house. Drag motivates me, it makes me happy, it makes me want to get out there. It's led me to people that I love and call family. It's given me that opportunity to express how I feel inside and when I go out there and hear people cheer for me it gives me life.
Why did you decide to compete in WreckRoom Idol?:
I've never done something like this before and I think it'll be really fun. I'm excited to compete!
Can you give me a glimpse at what people can expect from you in this competition?:
Surprises. I am definitely bringing some new style out and trying to do things I wouldn't normally do.
Do you have a favorite WreckRoom Idol? If so, who and why?:
I love everybody
Quick catchphrase, GO!:
YOU GOTTA RISK IT FOR THE BISCUIT!
