I have about a dozen different things I want to talk about but I’ll control myself for the sake of not crashing my phone. Anytime, and I mean anytime, that you want to talk about psychology, I would LOVE to listen!!!!!

Also, abnormal and atypical are synonyms, but “abnormal” has a generally more negative connotation (I think).

I am here, editing the KiScon zine like a busy little bee. I have Marcus Mumford crooning in my ear, my puppy at my feet (I'm pretty sure he's chewing on my shoelaces, but you can't win them all), and a mug of chai cooling on my table. After the past few months of awfulness, this is just about the most at peace that I've been for a good, long while.

I just had the strangest realization.

My first entree into k/s was when I found my Aunt's zines waaaay back in the day when I was still writing trek fanfic with sparkly gel pens in my notebooks. (That was over 30 years ago for those of you keeping track at home.😅 ) Two of the people who made an impression on Young Lost were Jenna Sinclair and Shelley Butler. When I say I devoured those zines, it was ridiculous. My Aunt would save copies for me, and when I visited her, she'd just leave me alone to immerse myself in Trek . Without sounding like a total goober, both women have been inspirational, leaving an indelible impression on me both in how I write and how I approach fandom.

Now I'm editing a zine with submissions from both, and all I can think is that my Aunt would be laughing her ass off at me for being all EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! over it.

Anyway, just some thoughts.
