so do you think since we're now going through the two hours between the anime's plot end and the timeskip, we'll get to see akutagawa's magical girl outfit swap sequence and/or a 00s romantic comedy movie style shopping montage, with like, freshly un-vampirized gin higuchi and tachihara shaking their heads over his outfit choices as if they're helping him prepare to go to prom with atsushi?

Hunter - Heir of Doom Class Translation:  Inherits (Doom) and affects or manipulates (Doomed) fate Aspect Notes:  Fate’s chosen sufferers, often controlled and manipulated, not noble martyrs / usually irate about their lot. Wise/Empathetic & Bitter/Fatalistic. Very drawn to Hunter as the Heir of Doom, the Golden Guard reborn over and over just to die again, passing their fates onto the next. Hunter manages to finally break free of this pattern, escaping the source of his repeated deaths and helping to save the rest of the isles from Belos as well.
[Drew the other 4 kids awhile back and always intended to follow up with Hunter. Happy 413!]

that post about leaving comments on erotic writing is so funny bc in my limited experience people are literally like that for all non commercially produced porn. like, when i ran an actual nsfw blog pre-porn ban i got exactly the same types of compliments i get when i post selfies here despite actually showing ass and titties. my primary demo was even straight men! and they'd say shit like, "pretty smile baby," like my boobs are down here! we all know why you're here!!

Anon said :🎀💘 『Meme || Accepting』
🎀 Who would my muse sleep with if nobody ever had to know?
Kaeya: There are a few Fatui lieutenants he has come to know through the Knights' and his own personal dealings with them that he really wants to hook up with outside getting something out of them. And not even out of spite of anyone, he is genuinely attracted to them and genuinely wants them to absolutely destroy him. And then there's Draff-
Guizhong: She was shameless enough that she would be proud to admit she would have fucked any of her friends if given the chance. The one she is most embarrassed to admit however is...Azhdaha. Solely because she kept swearing Morax was her favorite dragon. He is in fact only her favorite adeptus/god.
Kaveh: Alhaitham is definitely at the top of that list. As well as Cyno. He is embarrassed to admit either for differing reasons, and sure as hell hopes he never admits it to either's face, especially while drunk. Knowing his luck though...he probably already has.
💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?
Kaeya: Acts of service. Every single act of service to those he deems close is an 'I love you' in and of itself, and in his mind, those very acts mean more than his words ever will. Certain people believe they can't trust near half of what he says, after all. He will never ask for reciprocity from the, though. And doesn’t mind if he never does get anything back. So long as he was able to do something for them, that’s all that matters to him.
Guizhong: Gifts. To receive a gift from Guizhong, no matter how simple or trivial it appears is a surefire sign she adores the person. Nothing more but a simple “I thought of you” may accompany it, but select few know the true emotions and intent etched within her spoken words. This is especially so if the gift she gave them was made by her own efforts; the more complex and marvelous it is, the more she cherished the person. Is it any wonder Rex Lapis recieved one of her most prized, and greatest treasures?
Kaveh: Favors are common for him to do, but few stand out based in how he goes about them. His attention to detail tends to shine most when doing things unprompted for those he adores, taking into account their interests and preferences to ensure he aids or spoils them the best he can. In addition, time spent around them, regardless if it was spent bickering or in joyous company, means a lot. If he goes out of his way to secrete time for the person, however said time will go, that’s a sure fire sign of how important they are to him.

i have.... low hopes for me ever finishing what this was supposed to be, so here’s a scene from the middle of an asanoya fic in which asahi takes a gap year before moving to tokyo and noya comes and visits him every week to, like, plan meals and go grocery shopping lmao
Wait, fuck—it was Monday.
Yuu shot up right before he passed out and frantically slapped around for his phone. Vaguely, he registered Chikara’s soft “Holy shit,” and Ryuu’s “You good, dude?”, but he was too focused on flicking open his phone and dialling Asahi to respond.
One ring. He pushed himself up off the futon.
Two rings. He started walking toward the door.
Click. “Nishinoya? I thought you’d be asleep by—”
“Did you eat?”
Asahi went silent for a second before definitively not answering his question. “Huh?”
“Did you eat dinner, Asahi-san,” he sighed. He turned to close the door and caught a glimpse of Ryuu giving him some kind of look—it definitely meant something, but he couldn't be bothered to figure out what because he was already walking down the steps, and Asahi had started talking again.
“Yes? I had some of the leftovers from Saturday.”
“Oh, okay. That’s good.” He paused, taking a moment to slip on some shoes and walk outside. “I just—I realized it was Monday, and usually I’d be eating with you to make sure, so—”
Asahi laughed, and even through the tinny distortion of the speaker, it rang deep and comforting. “Right. It’s okay, I’m a big boy. I can make meals myself.”
Something pulled at Yuu’s chest, then, a tug that held fast all the way to his throat. “Yeah, I guess,” he replied, and his voice sounded weak even to his own ears. “Did you go shopping?”
“No, I’m going tomorrow. I planned meals for the week, too.”
“Real, cooked meals?”
“Real, cooked meals,” he confirmed with a laugh. Yuu could practically see the little smile on his face, teasing but laced with a nervous sincerity, as he asked, “Are you proud of me?”
The tug morphed into an ache, filling his lungs and traveling into his head, a tingling warmth. Yeah, I am. I really, really am, he wanted to say. Wanted to scream it, maybe, just to clear the fog that was starting to sear his chest.
“Only if you’re making something new, too,” he said instead.
“Aughhh, but I don’t know how to find new recipes. Besides,” he let his voice drop into something softer, “I like the ones you bring. You’re better at figuring that stuff out, I think.”
The tingling spread to his limbs, and he shook his free arm in an effort to dispel it. Tried to focus on light banter instead of whatever feeling was creeping through his bloodstream. “Wow, Asahi-san, I can’t believe I’m just a recipe book to you!”
Asahi laughed again, and Yuu went lightheaded. “Yeah, once I figure out how to navigate recipe blogs, it’s over for you.”
He was joking. He was joking, playing off of what Yuu had set up, and on any other day he would laugh; would even be proud that Asahi was so comfortable now, to tease like this.
But his head was just about to burst with the pressure built up from this fog, the searing hot ache in his chest and his throat and behind his eyes. He might’ve heard Asahi call his name through the receiver. But something was wrong, wrong, wrong, and he needed to get out of this haze, needed to say something—
“I miss you.”
Everything stilled.
Then he felt another yank in his chest, and he had to keep going.
“I—I know I just saw you yesterday, but it’s different. It’s different ‘cause I feel like I’m supposed to be with you now, and when I come over next week it’s gonna be a whole week—no, a day more than a week since I saw you, when usually it’s only a day less than a week ‘til I see you again, and…”
“Noya,” Asahi’s voice was soft again, all of the teasing gone. Yuu half expected it to break with exasperation on the next word, for Asahi to chide him and tell him it wasn’t that different and that he’d see him soon enough. But he continued, “I miss you too,” and the pressure building in his head dissipated.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
He licked his lips. Shivered. It wasn’t exactly cold out, but without the searing warmth that had been flooding his veins before, he felt cooler, lighter.
“You should come over Sunday.” Distantly, Yuu was proud of how definitively Asahi had said it, until he backtracked into his usual fretting. “Uh, that is. Unless you’re too tired, I know training camp can be lethal—”
“I will. Come over, I mean. I won’t be tired.” Before he could filter himself, he breathed out, “Could never be too tired to see you.”
“Ah…” Asahi was embarrassed. Yuu didn’t even need to see him to know it. “Ah. Well. Yeah. I’ll see you then, okay?”
“Mhm.”
“And you know, you should really go to bed. It’s getting kind of late, and I’m sure you have a long day tomorrow.”
“You should go to bed too. You never get enough sleep.”
“I can sleep in tomorrow, though.”
“Still. You gotta sleep. Promise me you’ll go to bed as soon as I hang up.”
“I have to take a bath first.”
“Fine, but still. You have to promise you’ll sleep.”
“Only if you do,” and something about the familiar lilt of his voice made Yuu stupid.
“Okay. Pinky promise.”
Asahi laughed, and this time, the smile that grew on Yuu’s face hurt his cheeks. “What? You can’t—over the phone?”
He was grinning like a madman now, and he knew it. But his brain was all Asahi, Asahi, Asahi, deep, loud laughter, a flushed face—
“Yeah, stick out your pinky!” He held his own pinky straight out as he said it.
“This is ridiculous,” but he still giggled, breathy and wonderful, and Yuu knew he would play along.
“Are you doing it?”
“Noya—“
“You better be, Asahi-san. It’s not ridiculous if we both do it.” He curled his finger, pretending as hard as he could that Asahi was standing in front of him, close, linking his large, sturdy hand with Yuu’s small one by the tiniest contact. “Promise?”
“... Promise.”

... I suppose you are right, to an extent. Still, it sucks we couldn't learn anything more from them, even if it was not part of the lore. In my perspective, the dummies are even more interesting than some of the participants, and some of the deaths of the real people could even be avoidable. An AU about it would be fascinating, I think.
it WOULD be extremely fascinating wouldnt it? in this particular scenario, i dont really wish to be right. like per usual, i absolutely get it from the perspective of what makes sense in the writing and whatnot, but as a fan i do want more content of the dummies. its not their fault they died :/ an au would be fun too tho!! however, i wonder if in the canon, it would be possible to reveal things about them in a.. non important way.

Please I’m begging you to elaborate on the “Izuru goes nuts over getting to own things” statement. Like would he hoard a bunch of stuff or only keep things that meant a lot to him? Would he be a little clingy and possessive of certain people..? Maybe he’d keep all his possessions in a box or something?
I think when it comes to objects, he’d be less of a hoarding person and more like. Sentimental? Like if he got a gift, he’d be really adamant about putting it somewhere in his room where he can see it any time he wants. Or if he gets something as a result of some event like a prize from a festival, he’ll also put that in an obvious spot in his room. So it’s less about the object, more about the memories/person attached to it. I imagine that if it ever broke, he’d try to fix it if he could. If he couldn’t, you might see the pieces laid out on the table because he doesn’t really wanna throw them away.
As for people, I guess clingy might fit? It’s more that he’s just introverted and overprotective, honestly. He has a couple people who he just defaults to and seeks out when he’s bored and wants to hang out with someone. If they get into trouble, he’s probably the first one to jump in and help them out, regardless of whether that decision is actually smart or not. He’s ride or die like that.
Of course, all of the above is assuming he’s post-rehab skdjfkshf. I think being on Jabberwock, surrounded by the rest of the SDR2 cast, he’d slowly learn to express his emotions more than he used to. Being essentially a lab experiment, he probably wouldn’t be trained/programmed/made to emote properly since that would interfere with his whole “efficient tool of talent” thing. But with people like Saionji, Souda, and Gundham around, I think he’d slowly start to find his own personality.

When sleeping with someone she cares about, she will almost always put herself between the person and the nearest entry points. Not to mention will always strive to stay awake longer than the person to keep watch over them before she’d finally let herself sleep. In a way, it’s a show of her love, in order to protect them from any potential enemies that could come at them, especially since she’s quite the light sleeper.
That and she just has the biggest weakness for the sleepy faces her chosen people make.
#hc#//She will never actively explain why she does it#//She just will and there's no arguing with her about it#;mun has spoken#//Did this a lot for her brother; especially considering how her mother was and the things she did to them#//If she failed to wake up when her mother walked in; she would be the one to take the brunt of the consequences#//So really; that's why she's such a light sleeper. Had to be on the alert constantly#abuse mention tw#//More implied; but eh#//Even the slightest creaks of the floorboards or the groan of a window have her bracing and ready to attack if they continue#//Sleeps with her back to the doors/windows deliberately. Bc she's got a little light she puts up on the frame so she can see any shadows#//Very subtle; but effective for her to see if there's actually someone there or if she's just hearing things without turning around#//Any suspicious movements that seem to approach/get within range is grounds for her to turn and attack#//She goes as far as to sleep holding a knife under her pillow#//Sleeping outside a secure area is impossible for her. Cannot and will not sleep if there's not four walls and secure enough windows/doors#//Not barehanded; of course; since she sleeps holding a knife under whatever she's using as or an actual pillow#//Or if anything with her power; just in case she's disarmed/pinned before she can do anything; since she keeps a bowl of water nearby jic#//The former gave her mom incentive to stop trying to hurt them in their sleep after she'd stabbed her hand and narrowly in the face#//Not that she'd trust the woman would actually stop so she kept vigilant even still#//It would take an extreme amount of trust in someone for her to let them be the ones to watch over her#//And even then it would be near impossible for her to actually sleep normally; bc she'd still wake up at the slightest suspicious noise#//And still be at the ready to whirl around and defend herself if needed; even knowing someone's actually watching her back#//It's really not recommended to approach her at all to wake her up or make any loud noises to achieve this#//Best way to wake her up is keeping distance and quickly tapping three times on something to get her attention. Or texting her works too#//Another true show of her love is actually being upfront about that fact tbh#//Bc if she didn't give a damn; she wouldn't have any qualms putting someone's eye out for unknowingly making the mistake of approaching#eye injury mention tw#//It's like her aversion to touch. Will scarcely give a warning if at all; and woe betide anyone who sets that part of her off even still#//People she likes; she'll actively tell them 'Hey; don't get too close to me when I'm asleep all of a sudden unless ya wanna lose an eye-'#//Or something like that; just making sure she doesn't actually hurt them. Won't feel too bad if they still get hurt bc then it's on them

For @thatdazaikin: here is a lengthy post about a small list of works of Kunikida-sensei's that I've read. I'm not sure how to describe his writing except for "it's very Meiji-era" HAHA
Here is a VERY short bio for those who are interested:
Kunikida Doppo (1871-1908) published poetry and short stories which were, depending on who you ask, romantic and/or naturalistic in nature. Regardless of what one might decide his works to be, it can be said that his significance as a Meiji-era author is due to his influence in the birth of Japanese naturalism (considered to be started by Tayama Katai. Yes the BSD refs are real). Throughout his life Kunikida had struggled in many areas of his life - finances, romances, and other personal successes - which shaped his personal views and inevitably his writing.
Sources for everything here: River Mist and Other Stories (tr. David Chibbett) and Five Stories by Kunikida Doppo (Jay Rubin)
(some of) Kunikida-sensei's works casually reviewed by a casual reader
DISCLAIMER: I do not have any formal education in literature, moreover Japanese literature. These personal opinions are from someone who just likes reading and the BSD franchise.
Let me start with my general opinion of Kunikida-sensei: I wouldn't say he's my favorite author of the era (it's Natsume-sensei for the Meiji period for me ehe), but he's quite interesting to say the least.
His writing style is a mix of personal angst and lots of nature descriptions. I can see it being a hindrance for some to enjoy his stories (because it certainly was for me, at least in the beginning) but I do believe it adds a peculiar charm. Hopefully you'll still give his works a shot!
Old Gen tagging: @requiem626k for this story, jic you might be interested!
This is what Kunikida-sensei himself considers as his true first "work of fiction." It's mostly a tragic story with no reason for being tragic than because it is. The imagery of water and winter here is quite beautiful, I think, but I do feel that although the emotional punch is strong in the end the overall structure of the story could have been more concise. But this is still my favorite work of his (so far, at least).
Unforgettable People
It's half-story, half-essay. Similar to Old Gen the impressionistic descriptions of certain events in the story is quite beautiful, but I think that the strength of this piece lies in its message. My concern with this story is also similar to Old Gen.
Letter from Yugahara
It's one of those "if I could tag Nobuko I would" type of stories. Honestly just a young man being a little dramatic HAHA it's sort of cute yet 100% relatable.
An Honest Man
Honestly, I didn't know what I expected from the title. Certainly not the type of protagonist I expected from Kunikida-sensei, but the central idea is interesting nonetheless. The themes (especially with the woman) I've noticed are quite common in Japanese literature in general (but especially later, up to around Dazai-sensei's time).
River Mist
This is the closest to autobiographical, I think. While most of his works were based on real people, this one echoes his own feelings and frustrations quite well. It's considered to be one of, if not the best of work Kunikida-sensei's. It has a lot of water imagery (again - he really likes water) and children (he really likes children - in the good sense, mind you) that portray the inner torment of the protagonist.
Currently reading: Meat and Potatoes (will edit this post once I'm done I just can't get to reading it without getting hungry HAHA)
--
Well, that's it for now! Maybe you can recommend some of these to your professor? Five Stories (which includes Old Gen, Unforgettable People, and An Honest Man) are free to read on JSTOR so yes. HAHA
