So it appears that birdie has decided she hates my mums cat? Which resulted in a LOT of hissing and growling this week while we were home 😅 idk if she grew an attitude after living in the city and comes home thinking she’s better than everyone, or if my mums cat has become territorial (my sisters 2 cats don’t seem to care, but 🤷🏻‍♀️). Now it’s very possible that birdie has indeed grown an attitude (she is her mother’s daughter) but because she’s perfect in every way, it’s probably my mums cat lol. 🔮 Tickle scenario

The Agency was completely quiet for once. Dazai and Kunikida were on a mission together, just like Kenji and Tanizaki, Naomi was out shopping with Kyouka, Yosano was buying more bandages and a new chainsaw, the President was having a negotiation with Mori, Atsushi was out "fighting" Akutagawa and Ranpo was on a crime scene.

Which means that when you arrived at this building, you found no one to welcome you. You sighed, although you didn't get mad, you knew that your friends were out doing their job... so you decided to use that time to explore around the building.

You went around and checked everyone's desks, making your heart skip a beat when you almost knocked over a pen holder on Kunikida's perfectly tidy and organized desk, and in the end you found it. The treasure. Your eyes literally lighted up at the sight: you had found Ranpo's stack of sweets.

You genuinely wondered how Ranpo was able to eat all that sugar without getting sick, but a rumble in your stomach made you snap back to reality. You were hungry, but you couldn't eat those sweets... you knew how jealous the detective was of his food, so you decided not to touch anything.

...

After an hour, the pile of candy was complete gone, and you gulped when you heard the door open and the sound of approaching steps. It wasn't your lucky day. Before you could even think about hiding the evidence of your hideous crimes, Ranpo appeared before you.

"AAAAAHH I'm so disappointed! The case was so easy that I spotted the culprit from afar! I didn't even get to use my ability! Seriously, isn't there an intelligence test to become a policeman?" The detective was clearly grumpy, so he did the thing that usually cheered him up, which was eating sweets to his heart's content.

However, his frown deepened when he found his stack completely gone and the wraps all scattered around the floor. "Rando..." The detective looked at you with a piercing gaze, even putting on his glasses, "do you know where my candy went? "I... you... no... I mean... I didn't... well... I WAS HUNGRY!!!" You couldn't lie at all, especially to the greatest detective of all times.

"Now I'm hungry! What am I supposed to eat, huh?" If you hadn't been so nervous, you would've probably noticed the playfully ominous glint in your best friend's eyes. "Erm... I... I think Kunikida left s-some raw veggies in the fridge..?"

"EEEEEEEHHH VEGGIES??? BLEH! HOW DARE YOU?! YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!!" The green-eyed guy jumped on you, but you managed to put your hands on his shoulders and push him off... Or so you thought.

When you raised your arms, two fingers immediately wormed under your arms, thoroughly digging in the very center of your underarms. "KYAAAHAHEHEHEHE RAHAHAHANPO WAIHIHIHIT NOOOO!!!" You were immediately reduced to a laughing mess, but Ranpo showed no mercy.

On the contrary, he moved his hands and made you think he had decided to spare you and let it slide for once, but right after you breathed a sigh of relief, twenty wiggling fingers descended on your poor tummy.

"WAAAAHHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHO RAHAHANPOHOHO NAHAHAT THIHIHIS!!!" You begged, wishing your thin cotton shirt could protect you better from the pokes, pinches, scribbles and spiders that were targeting your midriff.

"Yes, this! You deserve it for eating my secret stack of sweets! Hmph!!" He huffed while he started circling your belly button. "NONONOHOHOHOHO BROHOHO PLEAHAHASE LEHEHET'S TAHAHALK ABOHOHOUT THIHIHIS..!" As soon as you understood where his finger was going, you started pleading and squirming, making the tickly feeling even worse (or better).

"You should've thought about it before eating my snacks... now I'm gonna dig and get them back!" The brunette exclamation as his finger found your bellybutton and started wiggling extra quickly, as if it was digging in your poor belly.

"AAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAEHEHHEHE NAH- NAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOT THIHIHIS PLEHEHEAHASEEE" It surprised you how mean a cute guy like Ranpo could be, but there you were, squirming like a little worm, trying in vain to escape your tickly fate.

But alas, your yelling, squirming, pleading and begging fell on deaf ears. Only when your laughter went silent and you asked him to stop, Ranpo actually ceased his assault. "Are you okay?" The detective asked while handing you a glass of water "Sorry if I overdid it..."

"Don't worry, I'm fine, and well... it was deserved hehe" You gave him an embarrassed smile and scratched the back of your head, "Now... shall we go buy more candy and annoy Poe?"

Guess who randomly told me they wanted to play Xillia 2?? Yep, it's my lovely 30 year old overworked and stressed sister, who said she didn't want to start a long game just a week ago. Caught me by surprise but onto the next title, hurrah!!!!

An account of our let's play beginning below the cut:

I gave her a bit of a warning of how this game is a departure from the first game (and series in general) so she had some slight spoilers going in. She also saw me play it a bit my first time, remembering Elle and Nova's annoying voices in particular

I asked her why she wanted to play the sequel. Her: "I want to see more of the jazz land." She was disappointed you rush through Elympios, and X2 does at least add a little to it.

Got to laugh at her a little when the game opened immediately on a fight. Her: "Who am I fighting, my shadow self??"

Already her hearing issues are causing problems. "What'd he say his name is, 'Liquor'?"

She hates his name, "Ludger." It would be a fine for an actual person but for a character it's silly, you could have picked a better name.

Her: "I'm gonna call him 'Clout.'" Me: " ....... like 'posting-on-the-internet-for-clout' Clout?" Her: "Yeah, he's an influencer, look at his hair! He has an ombre!"

I told her it's dyed, and that I couldn't remember whether the black or the white was the dyed part. It's a little spoilery to talk about yet, but she noticed how Nova and Rideaux have it too. Her: "It must be the fashion." Me: "Cause he's an influencer."

Also heard Ludger saying "Okay!" as "Croquet!" Me: "Why would he be saying that after a battle??" Her: "I don't know, he's weird, he makes tomato cupcakes!!" Me: "Touche."

Her: "Whoah, Elle's dad turned into a monster?? Are we going to fight him someday?" Me: [silence]

We were talking during the bit after failing the test. Her: "Bro, stop humming." Me: "That's plot-relevant humming [it really is]. But we should probably pay attention to the TV that's giving exposition."

She loves the cat already. Who doesn't, Rollo is the best 😸

Seeing that we are in Trigleph she immediately tried to visit Balan. Me: "Why would we even go there, he doesn't know us." Her: "He's going to kickstart our adventure, I just know it."

You can actually go into his apartment which I didn't know, but no one is home. Her: "Does he know he left his house unlocked??"

After running into Jude, she immediately picked the non-affinity building choice. Me: "None of your friends are going to like you if you always pick the mean choice." Her: "I have decided to be mean. I am Aloof-ger."

Also decided she doesn't care about her friends, just Julius. Me: "There's actually an ending like that." Her: "Oh, a bad ending?" Me: "And then you rule the world together. Just kidding." Her: "Aww..." [this was me being an idiot and lying to cover my tracks. It's too early for spoilers]

She immediately hated Elle, as I knew she would. I just can't get myself to like Elle much either, so I am also dog piling the Elle-hate train. Sorry Elle lovers :(

Calling Bisley and his squad "the new Chimeriad." They are at least the new villains, but not as memorable to me as the Chimeriad. Calling Nova's sister (I forget her name) the new Presa just for having glasses and being serious.

Her: "His name is 'Bisley'? Seriously?" Me: "He's the bee's lees."

Devastated to learn the shops don't expand in this game. Me: "They don't in any game except Xillia to my knowledge." Her: :(

"Did we just go back in time?" Given how the power comes from a pocketwatch that's a very logical conclusion to make, I thought the same thing.

Her: "Everything's weird here. There's like a sepia filter. He really is an influencer."

Learned Julius and Ludger are only half brothers. Upon seeing Julius's fractured form, asked "Was the other half demon??"

But Ludger has a weird form too. Maybe he's quarter demon.

I forgot how easy that Julius fight is, compared to the later ones. Also, he drops tomato omelette. He should have dropped mabo curry, since that's what Ludger offered to make for breakfast [though of course this is a fractured dimension]

Upon seeing Rideaux in the bar: "Who is this clown? He looks like the Joker." Believes he might also be a vampire, as he has orange eyes and weird hair

You can apparently go behind the bar counter and just start taking alcohol. Me: "Let's get Rideaux drunk so he forgets about our debt."

Characters are talking about Canaan and Kresnik. Her: "Is he the Lance of Kresnik? Should I start calling him Lance?" Me: "Please don't, that's such a dude bro name."

Getting annoyed at Nova for too for calling to collect the debt money. Her: "Just try to collect my money, I have two swords!" Me: "One for each annoying girl." [I despise Nova too.]

It is satisfying to cut her off. Imagining hanging up by snapping shut the flip phone.

She wants to pay her debts back one gald at a time. Me: "Oh no this is like the shop expansion all over again."

I forgot the debt also keeps you from traveling. It's pretty fucked up actually, especially since Ludger literally can't go home now.

So we're back in the field with the sexy sax music. Alvin is playing it here with us in spirit 😔.

We left off by finishing the first chunk of our loan. Next time we'll board a train home and see what happens, maybe more party members?? 👀

hello mother i have come to tell you about my cats

i have 5 cats ,,, i have a momma cat, who’s 3 years old, i have two of her older babies who are both 9 months old, and two kittens who are 3 months old

and recently, one of the kittens developed a strange obsession with fighting with people’s feet ,,, he’s also a very curious litol kitten who is also really talkative like one of the 9 month old cat ,,, like they got all the meows from their siblings because two of the cats are really really quiet it’s like an achievement for me to hear a peep from them in like three days 😔

I was just chatting with my mum last week when I was back home that I miss having kittens around 😭 not the bottle babies (that was cute but exhausting and fucking messy) but fostering the kittens was so fun 🥹

Although, I had one foster who sounds a lot like the one of yours that goes after feet! He came to the shelter with his sister and they both had really bad flea induced anemia and the sister didn’t make it 😞 so he grew up as a singleton (what we called kittens who grow up alone). In my experience at the SPCA, kittens that didn’t grow up with mamas or siblings to tell them to fuck off when they got annoying are CRAZY (not to mention he was a tuxedo cat 🫣). But I digress

He ended up being so ridiculous I actually couldn’t work in my office anymore (where we set up the fosters) and I did all my school work downstairs because I’d go in to grab something and I’d come out with bloody ankles!!!

No but if this counts: 😅 a few years ago a pregnant stray cat came to my backyard begging for food. The next morning I woke up with little squeaking sounds! Yeah, she gave birth to 4 kittens in my garden & I provided them food & a box. Mama cat left them when they grew older & I became their parent 😸 They are independent now & live their lives, roam around the neighborhood freely but still come visit me occasionally to grab some food. That’s my closest experience to being somehow a parent.

I haven’t been on many adventures since the pandemic began but on Dec 2020 I went to the city outskirts to see the great, rare Saturn & Jupiter conjunction with a few friends who are amateur astronomers. They won’t get this close together again in our lifetime & I’m glad I could see it. Here’s a pic I took through the telescope 😊

Des nouvelles de la chatonne.

Il y a deux jours elle a découvert le...compteur électrique. Et que, apparemment, c'est très drôle d'appuyer sur tous les boutons 😸😸.

Du coup il y a deux jours ma lampe de chevet s'est éteinte toute seule. Et cette nuit elle a coupé l'électricité de tout le rez de chaussé...

Elle est allée aussi embêter la poissonne dans son aquarium. Elle a viré son filtre pour aller le mettre au milieu du garage. Mais la poissonne va bien.
