Isn’t too late to make Byler in season 5? There are only 8 episodes left and there’s no time for love stories but to fight Vecna. I hate this but i have to be realistic. Also it’s too late to make bi/gay the audience would be confused af.

hm idk honestly i would say yes but they rly Could do it as long as they write it well actually . will being confirmed as gay and mike being confirmed as bi even if by/ler doesn’t happen would be fun tbh + it would explain why mike didn’t write to will over those eight months when they were seperated and him being a douche bc of his conflicting feelings towards will . also it’s not like there hasn’t been buildup to it lol (all the s2 scenes “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls” etc) and it’s rly not about the confusion locals will take any ship the duffers give them like i’m so serious. just look at eddie/chrissy

now that’s my delusional feelings but the reality of the situation is that mi/leven is still there and the fact that they’ll have to break up to make by/ler happen which,,,,,,,, doesn’t sit right with me bc 1) if they were really pushing the whole “mike loves el el loves mike they’re in love” narrative and even using will as a plot device to further their relationship they would have literally no valid reason to break mike and el up last minute and 2) it is completely unfair to el’s character who has spent nearly every season in love with him . while you can argue that it’s first love and she’ll get over it no she won’t because mike was the first person to show her real and genuine kindness and love from that day in the woods until now. every other person who supposedly has been nice to her before him did it to manipulate and control her which is why i think they deserve a proper breakup where they see that they rly aren’t right for each other romantically and that their relationship would be better as platonic friends and definitely not because of mike’s feelings for will or whatever because the realization that el loved Another person who didn’t truly love her back in the same way she loved him would literally break her heart especially after mike’s monologue in s4 and i. really don’t want that because she doesn’t deserve that not after everything she’s been through

like if we had say two or more seasons i think it would’ve been possible 4 them to write all this in but if they have rly left it for the last season i just think it would be way too much drama between characters especially when idk there’s a huge big scary monster threatening to take over the world and snap ur bones and gauge ur eyes out but that’s just me. anyway all of this boils down to the duffers and they way they decide to write their season lol so there’s no way to say for sure

still find the whole elmikewill love triangle debacle so funny cause like....will being in love with mike being revealed and developed at the same time as mike and el having major relationship problems within the same season is one thing. but the fact that out of every possible relationship problem they could have chosen for them, they decided to go with mike being unable to tell his girlfriend he loves her...something that questions his actual feelings in the relationship 😭

like if they just wanted to show the ups and downs of a relationship there were literally SO MANY other conflicts they could’ve gone for. for s3 jancy it was about their jobs, and for s4 lumax it was about isolation and trauma...and the fact that both couples resolved their issues together BY THEMSELVES while actually communicating with each other and without needing constant outside influence. it isnt the same for mleven though, mike’s every move towards trying to reach out to el is always prompted by someone else telling him what to do instead of him doing it out of his own volition, he seeks out comfort and reassurance from a third party and never with his actual girlfriend. mleven have never been able to resolve their issues on their own since s3 and there always has to be other people heavily involved in the mending of their relationship.

i guess at the very least, season 3 mike was just constantly advised and being told what to do by the third party (lucas). but season 4 brings it to a whole new level...the third party (will) now has to confess el’s *hypothetical* feelings for mike in her stead. this isn’t just a supportive friend role anymore, will is literally playing what is supposed to be el’s role in the relationship. mike unknowingly gets the romantic love he’s been craving for from his best friend instead of his girlfriend, and it’s what led to the whole monologue in the first place. the fact that people don’t think this is gonna have any serious repercussions in season 5 makes me giggle because...it inevitably will. mleven arent going to make it out of the entire painting lie reveal unscathed!

mike´s situation with the bizzarr elove triangle is so funny to me. first is the elmikewill love triangle, then the will is making a painting for a girl he likes therefore I will get jelaous. and once he realises the painting wasn´t for a girl he starts kicking his feet in the air and making goo goo gaga eyes at will but turns out there´s a new player trying to take will??? like, he sat down to have another heart to heart and flirt in hopper´s cabin with will but he comes out with so there´s this interdimensional monster that wants me *twirls hair, but like, nervously*. like, it really is a bizarre love triangle(s)

some chill music headcanons in the middle of this hilarious chaos. someone great by lcd soundsystem is a elmikewill song. the pov changing between characters. mike thinking abt his relationship with will. will with mike.mike with el. and so on. also it´s abt the midleven breakup. and mike´s identity crisis. i wish that we could talk about it/ but there, that´s the problem/with someone new, I couldn´t start it/ too late for beginnings/the little things that make me nervous/ are gone in a moment/ I missed the way we used to argue/ locked in the basement. ok so. talking abt will here. tons of key words. so him having communication problems with mike. not speaking to each other and and mike avoiding their big fight aka rink o mania. will not being able to move on from mike. mike the one he needs. something we known hence the van scene. and so he quite literally can´t go with someone new. he had a new beginning in cali but he´s not starting something new with someone who´s not mike. the painting wasn´t for a new girl he likes. it´s for mike. and even though it hurts him. or make shim nervous. he´s also the happiest when he´s with mike. arguing and miscommunication. their heart to heart make up for it. he´s litearlly gone for him. and so he self savotagges. it´s fine I deserved it. he´ll confform with arguing and taking faults if that implies being with mike. if that implies playing dnd and nintendo in his basement...I wake up and the phone is ringing/ suuprised, as it´s early/ and that sound should be a perfect warning/ that something´s a problem/ to tell the truth I saw it coming/ the way you were breathing/ but nothing can prepare you for it/ the voice at the other end. so we´re in mike´s pov now. especially on his pov abt him and el. the scene where they argue abt how rocky their relationship is and bracing himslef for something he knows would never work. ending up with el´s breakup note. the whole conversation is ironically pretty early. I mean they do fight in the morning. mike´s defensiveness but also awareness of the real problem. he can´t give her real reasons on why he can´t say I love you. he saw it coming. but he doesn´t expect el to go for it. say her real feelings. from, el...the worst is all the lovely weather/ it´s stunned and it´s not raining/ the coffee isn´t even bitter/ because, what´s the difference?. ok so this part could very easly be el and mike´s pov on their breakup. why el´s? well. the breakup. as noted before .was just a kickstarter for the lab plot. something that if literally hadn´t happened el wouldn´t be able to follow her arc. she wouldn´t have her independence. so yeah, it was hurtful but she´s not bitter bc of that. the breakup was for the best. so yeah. her journey and inner thoughts on how unaffected she was by mike through her lab arc was pretty obvious. on mike. I feel like these are also his inner thoughts. but everything he says abt el after their fight is abt him doubting their relationship. but what the audience doesn´t know is that he´s not bitter. he´s contemplant. he doesn´t want to go back to el. and that´s the worst part. what if they don´t like the truth?. also some key words may help him contrast his complex feelings abt el and their breakup and other feelings he may have abt his and wills friendly breakup. he´s suprised it isn´t even raining. because the last time he felt the need to apologize and mend his mistakes truly wasn´t because of a fight with el. but will. their rain fight. it has been said before. mike and will´s fights have always been more serious and heartfelt than mike and el´s. something every viewer should be aware of atp. especially mike. he can´t help but to start to notice the difference. and that´s were his crisis starts. anyways. stay delusional but free.

the way the elmikewill situation is being handled is so messy because if mlvn is endgame then they just had will fall in love with mike since s1 for no reason other than to torture him but if they break up then the love confession is gonna look very unnecessary and weird and confusing so no matter what happens the duffers have dug their own graves atp
