Phillip just loves the Occult... everything related to Demons and Devils... he just can't get enough of this subject and so he decided to summon a demon for real.

Everything was set up almost perfectly for the summoning... some candles, a magical circle, a dimly lit room...

However when he made the Chant to summon a demon, something unexpected happened... instead of Summoning a demon Phillip found himself inside... a hotelroom? With it's two guests looking at him

"Erm... hi..." He said ackwardly, not knowing where he was and how he got here

I do think it's interesting that Mulder had to learn the value of "life on this planet" before Scully approached him about trying IVF.

We've seen times in the past where Mulder was offered a chance at fatherhood-- Emily Sim being the most definitive tie to a "normal life" alongside one Dana Scully. While she "wasn't meant to be", Mulder did his best to save her, crossing all boundaries and barriers in order to do so. Except one: claiming a paternal role in her life. Quite pointedly, he turned away from the doctor's questions and Scully's surprised, then wounded, eyes.

He fought all of his partner's battles, except for that place in her life.

Fox Mulder wasn't ready to be a father, then-- wasn't ready in The Jersey Devil when he belittled a "normal life"; wasn't ready when he picked up that refrain again in Dreamland I. Wasn't ready in Redux II when he found the cure to Scully's cancer; wasn't ready when he tracked her to the bowels of a spaceship in Fight the Future. Wasn't ready when he told her he "needed her on this", and wasn't ready when he admitted, "I love you."

The quest was all-consuming. The hypnotherapy tapes Scully listened to in Conduit changed him fundamentally: Oxford psychologist, top of his BSU classes, shining career ahead of him, transformed overnight by the discovery of buried memories he could only access in the files. A normal life broken in childhood; that life shattered again in manhood.

Until Arthur Dales, Josh Exley, and baseball: life on this planet. Someone who loved simple joys more than "the mission" or "the quest" or the guilt and shame and exuberance of being "destined" to fulfill the dictates of another conscience. The Spartan drive of Mulder's existence melted in the simple whizz of connection: ball-to-bat, person-to-person.

And Scully sensed this; and probably understood it more viscerally than he did (until he slipped through the cracks of consciousness in another life, another world.) "Shut up, Mulder-- I'm playing baseball" was all that needed to be said.

And, hope ignited, she approached her doctor in the vague hope that maybe, perhaps, her own assumptions were incomplete, too. That maybe, perhaps, Mulder would be willing (at last, in a sense) to share more of a life on this planet.

(Referencing this meta on the subject; but the above wouldn't change substantially even if Per Manum were set in Season 7.)

My take on jealous Charlie headcanons is that Charlie doesn't typically act out and would take the opportunity of hyping up her girlfriend when she finds someone also attracted to Vaggie. That is, as long as that person doesn't make any uncomfortable advances, otherwise all hell breaks lose.

Decided to use Emily and Velvette here because:

If Emily is meant to be a deliberate Heaven equivalent of Charlie, then it wouldn't be too farfetched to assume that they could share the same taste in women. Makes me wonder what could've happened if Vaggie never got cast out of Heaven and somehow got close to Emily instead.

Two-thirds of the Vees so far have an unhealthy obsession with a Hazbin close to Charlie that they also sorta parallel. Velvette is the only one without a personal connection to the Hotel so far, and Vaggie shares a similar role in the Hotel as Velvette does with the Vees
