Just found out about your adhd killian headcannon! Do you have any more either about that or for other characters? I'm a big fan of autistic david (very black and white views on the world, found it the hardest of all the main lot save Emma to adjust to change, likes things his way) and even autistic Emma (always eats the same thing, always wears the same outfit and finds it comforting).

oh !! Well now that you mention it, I can see both of those bein right (especially with ASD often being hereditary) and I have my thoughts of Henry being ASD as well (again, runs in the family). we can assume his obsession with fairytales, operation names, and stories in general (movies/TV shows/etc) as his special interests, and we also see him struggle with emotional regulation and expression and he shares traits that you mentioned in both David and Emma (likes routine, dislikes change, certain repetitive things/actions/clothes bring him comfort)

also, Emma being ASD could explain why she was never adopted, seeing as neurodivergent kids have a much, much lower chance of being adopted and end up aging out of the system. ADDITIONALLY ASD girls are much more adept at picking up subvert clues, reading between the lines and noticing body language change - all of which could ait towards Emma's superpower of telling when ppl lie.

I haven't actually given it much thought (like I did with killian's ADHD but if I rewatch more scenes I'll probably be able to give some better examples of their behaviour !!

If it’s not obvious already, I’m a self-shipper. I only have one f/o which is my Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, despite them being evil and all that, they have been a huge support for me through some really tough times. I’m also a fiction kin, where I also kin Envy. We share a very similar mindset and we’re both outcasts of our Family. (kinda referring to 03 Envy here) and we're both extremely jealous over other people. I tend to 'switch' into Envy at times, sometimes I'm aware but sometimes I have no idea. I have not yet been diagnosed with any form of a split personality disorder, but I'm working on getting a new therapist so we'll see. There is a possibility that I have a mild form of it but I'm not gonna make any claims until I have an actual answer.

Does anyone else ever just get the feeling that they aren’t and won’t ever live up to their potential?

I’ve been a perfectionist since as long as I’ve had memories and I’m still coming to terms with the fact that I cannot fix the world. I cannot heal every hurt person or make every broken one feel remembered or seen.

I honestly think it’s a part of having a big heart and huge imagination — to see things as they could be and not as they are.

To see things as they are is to be grounded in the moment, to experience life as it is, and find happiness and gratitude in the imperfections.

Your imperfections and lacking moments may be the very thing that someone else goes to sleep crying over wishing they were or wishing they had.

I’ve never been able to fix this in myself.

The very nature that I find it dissatisfying and upsetting is only evidence of more perfectionism.

How are you ever supposed to move forwards when you are trapped in the same footwork?

I know my birthday triggers me. I know I always psyche myself up and over plan and over compensate. In the past, this had always been by throwing myself a beautiful party.

I love parties — despite being introverted, autistic, and shy.

I love to revel in beauty.

I enjoy being reveled in for my own.

Because deep down, my greatest fear is to be forgotten — to lead a meaningless, purposeless life that does not make a mark on the world.

To be devoid of purpose is to be devoid of a soul.

The last few years have taught me many lessons about the immense pressures of loneliness.

Its values.

Its detriments.

I don’t think I’ve ever related more strongly to something this year than the beginning of Once Upon A Time and watching Emma Swan blow out a candle on a solitary cupcake, in a solitary apartment, after a long day of work.

I’m celebrating tomorrow with friends; but I know deep down that a large part of me will be absent.

I’d be lucky to be able to dissociate.

But those days are long behind me.

A sore medal of healing. An aching prize to win.

I don’t think there’s a lot more human than to wonder what it means to exist.

I don’t think there’s much more human than to wish to change what does exist.

But the one thing I know?

To truly exist, sometimes the wondering must be set aside.

To keep going is to embrace the fear and the sorrow and the tears of tomorrow and do the damn thing anyway.

Even if right now all of your true friends live a few hundred miles away.

Even if right now you’d rather hide in your bed than go spend a day out.

Even if right now existing seems like a burden.

That doesn’t make you a burden.

You are allowed to take up space — imperfect, living, breathing space.

Take a deep one and let it all out.

Tomorrow doesn’t stop.

Neither will you.

Did OUAT ever do anything with the obvious hints that emma is supposed to be the swan princess?

I don’t think so. I did stop watching at some point but I’m sure that the Once Upon a Time and Emma Swan tags would have discussed it if they had. I heard somewhere that Emma’s story is meant to be like the ugly duckling and I can see that.  She was orphan who finds out she’s a princess. 

There might be some fanfiction that explores it. I might had heard of a story where Emma is the Swan Princess but I never read it and don’t know the title or author.

How bad would canon screw up my OCs?😊

Lani's only personality trait would be The Love Interest. She'd be more of a damsel in distress than Amy and Elise.

Paige would have zero character traits and be the Girl Nobody Likes because she doesn't worships the ground Mal walks on. Her role in reading and translating runes&being a peacekeeper between the AKs & VKs are given to Mal. Also she's related to a Disney Character making her a watered down copycat of Emma Swan

Soraya would just be Strong Female Character #263813, she would look down on Audrey, Evie, literally every feminine character

Jora is Hinata 2.0 but given even less character development. She looses weight & lightened skin. Also she'll turn evil/have anger issues (when anger is Kendrix's thing) because Ben rejects her

Patti and Ginger (who are in their 20s AT LEAST) has a crush on 16 year old Ben. They would also have no agency

Kendrix is Bitch Duck Girl with none of her sympathetic traits. She's also wear a skimpy design because she's an antagonist. Did i mention she commits genocide?

Rosslyn loses her agency as she and Axel starts dating to the point where she's simply a prompt for him to rescue her. Also the victim of a love triangle where Axel & his Mu-Team Tilian fight over her. Also because she is smart she is mean to people not smarter then her. Basically Felicity Smoak.

Nicola would be fridged for Bruce's manpain and none of her accomplishments matter. Also in Justice League she reveals she cannot bear children and considers herself incomplete or even a monster. Also Hal Jordan falls into her boobs and SOMEHOW doesn't get pawned by her.

Ruth Destane is revealed to have left Luke many years ago because it turns out she only married him for his status. Or, she's the seductive femme fatale who likes working with Vader and is so totally apathetic towards the Rebels when in reality she's a frightened young woman who wants to be taken seriously, desires freedom, and despises Vader for being a major factor in the erasure of her Jedi Heritage. Or she gets the Karen Traviss treatment (aka murdered by her own nephew in the stupidest fucking way possible).

Niya would become a potential love interest for Ben because of course a teenage girl has to be in lobe with the franchise protag, and also hates Gwen for being a white she-devil.

Marion is a caricature of autistic people and have no arc of their own. Everyone constantly misgenders them as a joke. Also they have a codename: SNOWFLAKE!

Vesta is thrown off a bridge (see where I'm going with this)

Beatrix, Aerin, non of them having unique traits. They are boring and dull because they're not typically playable in a Sonic Game. Also Aerin is a dumb stupid hooman

Vanessa no longer has her own storylines and becomes a baby factory for Jason Whittaker

Aster Roi secretly works for the plumbers, ignoring their canon distrust of them. Otherwise see Marion

Kaysha is even more of a token girl, lacking her own arc and graphically killed off to forward Leo's development

Edith is subservient to Sherlock and hates corsets because corsets are antifeminist.

Any other autistic people apply things irl due to movies/books/games/etc?

For example I always get annoyed/nervous when games are dark and you don’t have a flashlight (especially in horror games) so I started carrying around a flashlight 24/7

Or a play I once went to (based on a book) mentioned this silly thing that if you’re writing and you put your pen down with the writing point towards you you’re satisfied with your writing, but if you put it down the other way you’re not satisfied with your writing/it’s not good enough and ever since whenever I write something I look at how I put down my pen afterwards just to check

And I have a red leather jacket hanging on my desk chair for “protection” because Emma Swan from Once Upon A Time wears one and she’s the saviour and makes me feel safe
