Announcement !!

Hi everyone! It's just me popping in here to deliver some news! I don't know if it's considered good or bad but let me know! I have decided to close down this blog and continue writing for enhypen on my main. This was a really hard decision for me to make, but one of the reasons i came to this conclusion is that, i don't get the same amount of response or feedback or criticism on my works like i used to. I love writing i will continue writing it but not on this blog anymore. I'm thinking on keeping this blog as an archive but i don't think I will, but let's see. Thank you for the great time and all the happy memories i had here, and this has been Emma signing off on this account. See you on my main if you're interested!

Even a few weeks into yours and Rafe’s new ‘thing’, you knew it would last. You’d spent every waking minute thinking about him. It was the first night you two were going to a party together, now official.

An hour or two into the party, you’d walked down the beach to get some fresh air when your goofy, surprisingly sober boyfriend runs up to you, sitting by your side.

“Hey, you good?”

“Yeah, just stargazing.”

“You like the stars?”

“Why wouldn’t I? They’re gorgeous. Each one’s unique. They all have different stories behind them too.” You look up to them and in the corner of your eye, see him copy your movements. He lies next to you, putting a hand behind his head.

After a few minutes of silence, he points to one, and turns to you.

“So, what’s this one’s story?”

“Well, that one is called Steve. He had a family but they all ran away because they thought he might turn into a chicken and eat them.”

You try to keep your face serious, but he begins to laugh, your heart warming at the sound. When you looked at him, his smile was wide,his eyes were squinted and the sound was simply….

i found an advice post from @emmastudies which explained the need for a good introduction, so let me introduce myself!

i’ll go by r. i’m a third-year university engineering student focusing on space, and i’ve been bullet journaling since march of last year. i’ve been on instagram for my bujo since about june of last year (find me @ raoganized !) i recently got into rewriting notes nicely, because the revision process helps me remember content better.

i have a few exams coming up, so look forward to productivity posts for that, i guess?

Favorite Animal: red pandas! they’re just so precious. I actually have a stuffed animal of a red panda, and it’s my favorite. I think I probably like them so much because they look kinda like cats, but still they are so cute!

so you paused the game

man was prolly like o.O "why did you pause"

and then you go, "wait ill go get something"

and then you come back with glasses on

For the first time since you started dating, Rafe invites you to go to a party with him.

“Come on, babe, it’ll be fun!” You groan, not being a fan of parties but wanting to go just for your boyfriend. Reluctantly, you agree, Rafe letting out a little squeal in excitement.

You head home in order to get dressed, letting Rafe know you’d meet him there. As you look into your wardrobe which is bursting with clothes, you sigh, finding nothing that’s perfect for the occasion. Eventually, you pick out a white flowery romper and matching white heeled boots. You curl your hair and put a little bit of makeup on to make yourself look presentable, then leave for the party.

The party is so packed you struggle to find your 6 foot tall boyfriend in the sea of people, but find him eventually, sitting down with some other guys, recognising 2 of them as Topper and Kelce, so you head over.

“Hey! Sorry I’m late!” You semi-shout over the music at Rafe.

“It’s okay, come, sit!” He slides over to make space and taps at the now empty seat next to him, to which you occupy.

Not soon after, one of the guys on the table pulls out a zip lock bag of white powder, your eyes widening at the sight and smell of your biggest hatred, cocaine. Your anger rising at Rafe who happily takes the bag and begins to set up a line, you lean back against the couch and play on your phone to distract yourself.

“Babe, you want a hit?” You look up to Rafe and shake your head as he wipes extra powder from his nostrils. He mutters ‘suit yourself’ and goes back to enjoying having it all.

After what seems like an hour, Rafe grabs your hand and leads you round the party. You try to stop him to ask him how much coke he actually snorted, but he shrugged you off and told you ‘not to worry’, as if that was gonna happen. That’s when you spot them, the Pogues.

The Pogues had been rivals with the Kooks for the longest time, but you’d never had a problem with them. Rafe hated them. But Rafe, high? You had no idea what he was going to do when he started walking towards them, taking you with him.

“Yo, JJ, what are you doing on our turf, bro?” Rafe questions him as you attempt to pull him back with his hand. Once you’re in between the two, you apologise to JJ for bothering them, and push Rafe back towards the couch.

“Babe, what the fuck!”

“You need to leave them alone.”

“Why? What, you wanna fuck him or something?”

“Excuse me?” You pull back in shock, and look at him, your anger starting to rise.

“Yeah, you heard me.” Rafe stands up and starts to get louder when he notices the party goes quiet. “Why'd you stop me from talking to JJ? Are you into him or something?”

“Rafe, What. The. Fuck. You know that I am YOUR girlfriend, right?”

“Do I? Because at every opportunity you stop me from getting into fights with other guys, when they deserve it.”

“That’s because I don’t want you to get hurt!” From the corner of your eye, you see JJ and the Pogues come closer.

“Or is it because you wanna fuck JJ, and you’re using me to get to him?”

“What?”

“You’re a whore, Y/n. That’s what you are. A whore.” As Rafe gets closer to you, JJ steps in between the two of you.

“Rafe, youre flat out high and talking bullshit, go home.” Rafe shoves JJ, toppling you back onto the ground. You hit your head, and your vision goes funny as JJ and John B check if you’re alright. All of a sudden, your vision disappears completely, and you blackout.

What if when Cas uses the last of his grace, it isn’t a huge spectacle. It isn’t a tragedy.

What if it’s a quiet morning, in a fixer upper house that Dean has mostly fixed—there’s still more to be done, but they have time—and Cas has stopped his morning routine to watch Dean.

Dean is shaving, getting ready for their trip over to Sam and Eileen’s. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, something that Cas has watched countless times now.

But isn’t that the point?

That he has this privilege now?

Dean’s eyes are trained on himself in the mirror as he drags the razor down his face, his guard completely dropped. Shoulders relaxed. The sun streams in through the window just past him, creating a halo of light around his bedhead. And he’s the most heavenly thing Castiel has ever seen. The most perfectly human thing.

If Cas had more grace flowing through his veins, it would have been impossible for his heart to skip a beat. Now it’s impossible for it to not.

He can feel it, his grace waning. The very thought of it used to terrify him.

Now he welcomes it. There are no dangers here in their quiet town. No monsters. He doesn’t need to be an angel, a soldier, a guardian. He just needs to be Dean’s.

He spies the gray hairs scattered across Dean’s scalp, thinks of when his will match.

Dean suddenly winces, hisses through his teeth, and Cas snaps to attention. His reverie broken. He moves to Dean’s side as Dean reaches up to wipe at the bead of blood on his neck.

Cas doesn’t think anything of it, reaching up like he always has, with a steadier hand and a more confident touch than he had years before. He brushes his finger over the skin, heals it.

And it flows out of him like a breath. His body feels heavier, his lungs smaller. His heart pounds.

He opens his mouth and shudders.

Dean’s smile falters. “Cas, you okay?”

Cas grips his arm for support, leaning into him, as his knees threaten to buckle.

“Cas?”

Dean’s eyes grow wide as he wraps his arms around him. His voice verges on panic. “What’s going on? Talk to me, babe.”

And the feeling passes. Cas’s body—no longer a vessel—adjusts, and he stands. Breathes out a shuddery breath.

Dean glances over him, stilling. “Was that it?” he asks quietly.

Castiel smiles.

“Yes.” His voice is soft.

Dean’s grip on his tightens before it relaxes, and he lets out a shaky breath, something between a laugh and a sob.

“Are you okay?” A careful question.

Cas looks down at himself, as if something would look different. But he still sees the same dark slacks, the same bee socks. The same ring on his finger.

He sees his paradise.

He takes Dean’s face in his hands, breathing in deep, filling his human lungs. He smells Dean’s shampoo.

“I’m okay.” He kisses him, slow and soft. “We’re okay. I promise.”
