Hii. So exciting we'll see Jacob and Sam together soon 💓 esp in an Emmys consideration thing. I just can't help feeling a bit 😕 at Iwtv being bunched together with Mayfair Witches. IWTV was a much better show. I think I read something thr other day where an exec said they could do crossovers in future, like a Avengers type thing, but I hope not :(

Well, I mean, there are three crossover books, and IWTV (at least) has already made references?! 😅

I actually hope they build this up properly (it DOES have a lot of potential imho?!) - but for that... they really have to step up their game for the Mayfair Witches. But the producer seems to be aware of that.

And I know what you mean, but also... I have been staring at that post and... like... they really mean to, you know? They mean to build this. Come hell or high water. Whether critics liked it or not, they're doing this. Putting it up with the brilliant show that got 99% everywhere. That takes guts, lol.

But also....

You know... For us?! When the Vampire Chronicles are the main part of the books they purchased?

For US THE FANS that is such a fantastic outlook? Whether we liked the Mayfair Witches or not, but to have AMC go in (still) fully signalling the intent to friggin' build this universe, as they have said they would?

BEST. NEWS. EVER.

And, of course, and I hope they get nominations, that would be awesome (wins would be terrific, but I'm going with being happy with nominations) - but finally seeing Jacob and Sam again... *sniffs* that alone is worth it^^

A big thank you to everyone up in arms about us not getting an Emmy nod, as well as all the academy members who voted for us.

Kyle Rohrbach and Colleen Kilpatrick led our Emmy campaign and I am *extremely* grateful. 🫶

The truth is, we always knew we were - and continue to be - a spectacular long shot.

The Academy demographic ≠ Dropout's demographic, and the former loves their classic game shows. (I do too! A big congratulations to the nominees.)

These game shows are on network television, which still reaches more audience more reliably than any other video medium.

Our show is tucked away behind the paywall of a niche unscripted comedy streaming platform built from the ruins of a once-popular YouTube channel.

The point of going after the nomination is that it's good PR regardless.

More people have heard of Dropout / Game Changer than ever before, which means more signups to Dropout, more budget, and more talent willing to play with us.

Awards are nice and all, but what matters to me at the end of the day is the platform and show — and as far as those metrics are concerned, we've already won.

We are, as it were, playing the long game changer. 🏆

Hi :) When you answered an earlier ask, when you said the show that got 99% everywhere, did you mean Mayfair Witches? As in, did you think that show got more advertising than IWTV did?

Also I just wondered imagine if Sam and or Jacob got on so well with Mayfair Witches cast peeps at this Emmy event and the head bosses want either Sam or Jacob to be in a full season with a MW cast member in their land? I don't think I could bear the boys being separated for a crossover in the other world. Do you think that would happen?

No, I meant IWTV, in regards to ratings and critics score.

Mayfair Witches is around 46% iirc.

And yes, AMC is giving it more attention right now, which may be logical, but given the fact that IWTV has not even been rolled out globally... leaves a bit of a bad taste, tbh.

Re the crossovers...

Well, I mean, there are three books. Both Lestat and Louis show up in those books (Louis only as mention, but I'll take what I can get, and I bet they will, too^^), so IF they do those crossover storylines it would be... logical?!

However, these stories are much, much later - a lot has to happen before Lestat is "there", then. And Louis, too.

I don't think considerations in regards to crossovers will depend on how well the actors get along - in this industry I bet they will get along just fine... on principle. But it will be interesting to see the chemistry, I'll give you that :)))

I've said it before, I think the whole thing, the Immortal Universe does have potential. But they missed to connect to IWTV in MW, and they really need to step up their game.

I wouldn't worry too much about "the boys" being separated... the boys are all grown up and apparently best friends. I bet we'll get to hear a lot in interviews once more whether they kept in touch or even visited (personally I bet on it), bc if you really hit it off with someone? You just do... no matter work.
