#end of days ajax

Events head canon times again but with a focus on Ajax and Emmie:

Ajax and Emmie both feel very betrayed and angry after Ronnie not being on their team this season and have both swore to not hold back when and if they see him.

Emmie and Ajax even if you could have called them close before hand are a lot closer this season then any other, being the only ones in their team to have gone through so much together and knows how the other can get because of some things.

They are both always looking out for the other even if it's not always the most obvious

Ajax fears the day they'll wake up and won't be on the same team as Emmie and Ronnie, that Emmie will leave them also

When Ajax gets too frustrated about Rayko being there he goes and rants to Emmie

Emmie puts her wings around Ajax while they sleep, as a dragon she has to protect her horde, and currently that only really includes Ajax (because Ronnie left them)

Ajax and Emmie are very close to becoming QPR for the fun of it and to mess with Ronnie more.

Rayko watches the way Ajax interacts with the others and still sees the person they left behind and regrets it, but not much, he has to get to the people he cares about.

Ajax's can barely stand looking at Rayko

I have so much to say about ajax and rayko after the stuff today—

but first off: [spoiler warning for eod lore bits on 9/7]

i fucking love the idea that Icarixis is just sitting in the world port watching all of it happen, and when rayko goes through the rift Icarixis just like- *pauses the sitcom they’ve been watching*

and just pulls rayko into the worldport like “BRO WHAT WAS ALL THAT ABOUT?? YOU LEAVING YOUR BROTHER?? DA FUCK??” 🤨

and then by the end of it is like “fine okay yeah go back to your partners, that does still fix the problem of you being here…” 🙄

and i love that for them

Thinking about Ajax and Emmie still calling Rondael Ronnie

Even when Ajax tells him that he hates him, they still call him Ronnie

Even when Ajax is mad at him for leaving

Even when they’re complaining about him opening the box

They both call him Ronnie, because they may both be mad at him, and pissed that he isn’t on their team, but he’s still important to both of them, and they still care

i have ajax thoughts. and the thoughts are that their classpect is still affecting them post-season 8

so ajax is maid of beath, right? one interpretation of the class maid is built on it being homophonous with "made." and breath is the aspect of freedom, of malleability, of detachment. one could say that ajax is, in their very being, made of expanse, made of the wind. breath players have been shown to, among other things, disperse themselves in the air.

and what does ajax do when the tornado makes them lose it a little (or a lottle)? they are pulled to it by some unknown force, seem detached about the consequences of the storm, and lose their sense of self and logic.

getting swept up in the tornado satiates the "feelings in [their] bones." makes them "feel all the things" and shows them how "it's all connected." at times, it seems like ajax considers the two one unit, talking to it like they are collaborating and taking personal offence when ronnie call the storm a hassle. something about it is "in the air everywhere" and makes things "blurry."

it seems like there's no more hard line where the wind ends and ajax starts. they directly say "it's like me." maybe that is not a statement of kinship but instead, "it's, like, me," a statement of sameness.

they are also insistent that the tornado is not a symbol of destruction, but of change and movement. this lines up with the aspect of breath. there is so much freedom in the storm that for them, it provides freedom from the self (whether they want it or not) and again, they get very worked up about this, almost insulted that someone would think about the storm in this supposedly incorrect way.

ajax is so in tune with the air this season because they are MADE of the air, physically and metaphysically.

is this intentional? probably not! if i remember correctly, sherb has never read homestuck. i am thinking about this way too hard. but that's the joy of fandom so. L. read my silly thoughts.

I'm having thoughts about Ajax and Rayko. cus what if after Ajax beaten the dragon with Emmie and Red. they end up in the light purple world with Rayko, Cash, Fang, and Xiphos. and get to have a calm conversation with their brother for once not in a game or feeling in danger constantly. and Icarixis ties their soul to both the games so they still have Emmie and Ronnie but they can also have Rayko and have a life without fear of losing it.

I was absolutely thinking before sherb said that Ajax just didn't have a favourite before that one. They had no reason to before no reason to stop and look at flowers like they can in Eod.

Thinking about how “useless” seems to be Ajax’s version of “failure”

How Rondael keeps on calling them and their machines useless as a way to get under Ajax’s skin,

How Centross would call Icarus a failure in corruption to get under their skin

How Ajax can’t be useless, he can’t because if they’re useless what’s the point in keeping them on the team, what the point in keeping them alive

How Icarus can’t be a failure, they can’t because if they’re a failure then what is the point in loving or caring about them if everything they do is wrong

still think abt how regulus and sirius are so fucking similar to icarus and rae(now ajax and rayko)

sirius and rae: leaving to be safer and get away from controlling parents but hating that they have to leave their brother behind. sirius escaping to the potters, rae stopping fable and getting away from him in general. all end up leaving their brother behind. sirius saw his little brother become a death eater and die. rae saw his older brother become numb to their father and become the next quixis.

regulus and ajax: staying to please their parents, even if they know it will hurt them. they crave that approval from them. regulus stayed and (maybe unwillingly) became a death eater, icarus stayed with fable because he promised that he would bring centross back to life. regulus didn’t get to see how strong his older brother became once he was out of that gods forsaken house. icarus was forced to see his niblings grow up and his family bloom out of love.

rayko and ajax vaguely fit this. but it’s the events. ajax has spent the majority of their life jumping event to event. he hasn’t been able to escape the cycle of games to be won (regulus pleasing his parents and eventually taking the dark mark). rayko briefly had. he somehow escaped. they quit. they left. they were brought back to events and wants to leave (sirius first escaping his parents, then being accused of murdering the potters and being thrown into azkaban being seen as a death eater) (additionally, ronnie and ajax being pissed at each other, maybe for not being on the same team, could be james being pissed that reg took the dark mark)
